Tie Or Dye

This one starts out with a blast of candy caramel apple but swiftly makes way for the coconut. I've tried a whole bunch of Zara fragrances. This one also disappoints how quickly the top note disappears, but unlike other Zara fragrances, the mid and base have more 'oomph' to it. Unlike marketing suggests, it doesn't feel suitable for 'tie' events. I really don't think of 'coconut' when you're going to a formal meeting. The scent is definitely geared towards teenagers and early 20s who can't afford a Versace fragrance. Like most Versace's it's a bit sweet especially in the opening: men looking for a typical male scent should avoid this one because it feels more metrosexual to me. For a Zara fragrance, this is one of the better-performing ones and offers a good deal for your buck. If you simply can't resist buying a Zara fragrance: this one has the most power of the 'Denim Collection', the other ones are even poorer in concentration.

I have the complete new Zara Collection tester sets. So i will review them all. This one is surprisingly good. Its smells a little bit like Ferrari Silver Essence and Joop! Homme Wild mixed together. And than a fresher take on it. Above average perfomance (compared with the other new Zara fragrances) I do get why people compare this to Amber Ego, but this is a different scent. It doesn't smell similar. But if you like Amber Ego, than you most certainly like this. Overall i give this a 7 out of 10. Day Collection: worst = No Plans, best = Stormy Day Night Collection: worst = Night Skyline, best = Midnight Hour Denim Collection: worst = Dark Wash, best = Frayed Edge

Those who compare Zara to Amber ego are right! I am no longer sad that the production of Amber ego has stopped

I have to sample this a bit more but to me this smells like an almost exact clone of polo red extreme.

Stronger With You mixed with coconut, good!

This fragrance confuses me - i take a whiff and I like it and then 10 minutes later I think it smells like suntan lotion. The coconut is definitely there with some soft vanilla and woodsy notes. Not my thing, but I can see how others could enjoy this. I rank it 3 out of 4 in the Denim Collection from Zara (behind Rinse Wash and Frayed Edge).

Corn silk/ tassle, That's it, that's what it smells like. Sprayed it once on my wrist an hour ago at a Zara and good lord, the dry down after 10 mins was rough, This inexplicable, strange scent kept wafting and triggered something peculiar in my head. Then it hit me as soon as I got home, it smells like corn, and not even some sweet, buttery roasted corn. It's the corn tassle tea some people like to drink, or the corn water you boiled corn with, it smells just like that. It isn't exactly obnoxious but its just weird, and this one is weirdly potent, As soon as I got home I rinsed my wrist with soap a few times, the corn remains. Not even three sprays of Extreme 9.0 on my forearm could've stifled the smell. So yeah, I'm not sure if cedar is supposed to smell like this or is it just the middle notes combo, but this is a doozy. For anyone who wanna smell like a you boiled corn for a barbeque potluck for 300 guests? This is the one, good, hot, sillage-straight-out-a-farm stuff.

Really similar to JPG Le Beau! That one has more coconut whereas here it is more in the background but otherwise very similar, ambery, kind of sticky-sweet scent. Good for spring or cooler summer evenings. Girls seem to really like it.
