True Amore (Into The Floral)

I am a Delina fan and have always made sure to own a bottle since I first tested her in 2019/2020. I have a bottle right now and also the hair mist. It's fair to say I know what she smells like in the beginning, middle and dry down, how she projects and lasts. When I saw the new fragrance releases from Zara I was immediately interested because they've really been stepping up their game in the last few years. When I read the reviews for True Amore I knew I had to try it out for myself. I was fully prepared for it to be a letdown but at that price I really didn't care. And let me tell you, True Amore is an excellent dupe for Delina. As soon as I sprayed TA on my arm I recognized Delina immediately, the top notes are spot on. I let it dry down and went about my day, occasionally sniffing and every time thinking to myself that just smells like Delina. But I wanted to be able to write a really thorough review so the following day I did a side by side test of Delina and True Amore on each wrist. In the beginning they are almost identical to my nose. Both have this really sunny and bright opening with the rhubarb note, litchi and roses and they're both equally juicy and happy. To my surprise, True Amore lasts longer at that stage, Delina turns the top note volume down faster, which to me is a shame because I love the opening. So in that regard, TA really impressed me. But once TA fades into the middle notes and dry down there is more of a difference. Delina is rather dense, a bit thick in her dry down with the cashmeran and vanilla, while True Amore is very similar but more airy? Fresh? I'm not even sure what word to use to describe the difference but it isn't that big, unless you really crave that density Delina has. To be honest, I rarely come across such a good dupe in terms of the scent profile being copied and needless to say, I absolutely love True Amore and I'm amazed that it has been done so well for so little money. Delina smells more deep, more complex of course, otherwise the insane price tag she has would be fully unjustified, but for those who don't care about the nuances and love Delina, they will for sure love True Amore as well. The following day I did a full wear test of TA to see how it compares to Delina in projection and longevity. Delina is a powerhouse, you don't need to lot to smell nice the whole day, she lasts in your hair forever and people can smell you for hours without having to bury their noses into your neck. You will have your bottle for a while and that's why I am fine with paying that price. I'm fairly certain that I'm saving money when I use her as opposed to spraying a lot with middle priced fragrances. I'm getting really tired of designer houses upping their prices constantly to the point where you're almost paying niche prices only for next to no projection and lackluster longevity. Anyway, performance rant over. Back to True Amore. True Amore isn't the powerhouse Delina is, nor did I expect it to be, given the price difference. But, it's not a poorly performing fragrance either, it just isn't crazy loud. Longevity is great, I can smell it on my wrist after 8 hours (I have oily skin though so many fragrances last a long time on me so perhaps not everyone will get 8 hours out of it) and for a full day in my hair. Projection is good in the first hour or two, people have commented on how I smell without being in my face but I don't announce my presence with my perfume simply by walking into a room either. It's a happy middle for me. The best part is, and this is all I really look for in a fragrance when it comes to performance, is that I can smell myself for 5-6 hours without trying to. The main reason I buy and wear perfumes is for my own enjoyment. I want to be going about my day and regularly get wafts of what I'm wearing. That's the main thing for me. And True Amore does that for me. I'm so happy with this purchase and I most certainly will buy a back up bottle or two. I'm definitely not retiring Delina. But I will use her for more special occasions. On its own, True Amore starts out with a rather sharp and sparkly rhubarb note, followed with the litchi and rose. I get the feeling of being suddenly bright eyed and bushy tailed when I spritz it on and over the course of an hour or so, it mellows out into a creamy vanilla musk with a teeny bit of freshness to it. About 3-4 hours in wearing it the first day I had completely forgotten about it and I get this beautiful waft of creamy vanilla and sweet rose and I think to myself what smells so amazing. Then I realize, I do. It's me that smells so good. And that's what I want in a fragrance. I'm a very happy cat with my bottle of True Amore and I highly recommend it. It pairs beautifully with Hypnotic Vanilla by the way. Last night I went to a party and felt like mixing some deliciousness together and sprayed on True Amore and Hypnotic Vanilla before leaving the house. My friend could not stop hugging me because of how much he loved how I smelled. A few other people commented on how good I smelled when going in for a hug as well, although they were not as crazy demanding more hugs because of it like my first friend did. And I don't hate smelling nice to other people so win win ❤️

I haven't yet (to my knowledge anyway) smelled Delina, but True Amore is supposed to be very similar. I think it's a beautiful, fresh, grapefruit-kissed rose scent, with just enough vetiver in the base to keep things from getting sickly sweet. I couldn't smell it that well at first, so I oversprayed, and now it's building to a delicious intensity--I'm glad I don't share an office anymore. I love this fragrance on first exposure, but I will need to remember that it's a lot stronger than it might seem at first, with its clear juice and its elegant minimalist packaging and its suspiciously low price. A great blind buy. I'm glad I listened to the YouTube and Fragrantica frag gurus. Update: My husband came home from work and asked me about the scent, which he immediately recognized as rose rather than a generic floral--he seems to like it, too, which is not always the case with my blind buys, haha. Update: The drydown is heavy on the incense, at least on my skin. It reminds me a bit of some Middle Eastern rose fragrances I have used recently. It's also not unlike the slightly dirty vetiver in Nirvana Rose. I seem to have many fragrances that are variations of this theme lately, at least in the drydown. I'm actually somewhat impressed by the longevity, although I probably did overspray a bit. Maybe I just got a very potent batch? Anyway, I like it and feel like it offers a great bang for the buck.

I am so happy I bought this. I was very close to leaving without buying but I sprayed the sample a second time since it was in sale. This is a green stem of fresh rose. You see that the rose is mingled with subtle sweetness and what feels like green nature. Then you get the grapefruit and the Vetiver. I am so happy that Zara once again made another great great fragrance. Not synthetic at all for me....I easily get nausea and headaches. I am really happy writing this review and smelling this in bed. Pd. Ok! Today was my first day wearing it all day. 4 sprays this morning. After 10 hours my bf complimented me when he arrived home when he was near me. This morning it had really good silage too. For me this is 9.5/10!

The first time I smelled this, it instantly reminded me of PDM Delina and Initio Atomic Rose and I had to buy it. I'd say it's definitely a dupe for PDM Delina - almost too close in my opinion but this is slightly more citrusy. This is a very sweet and sour fragrance. The rose is sweet and the citrus makes this tart all at the same time, while the woodsy/resinous notes give it a bit more sophistication. It's inoffensive, feminine but not at all boring. The longevity and sillage is okay... fairly weak but it is a lower cost perfume. Sadly I believe this perfume is now discontinued?! This was one of my favourites from Zara. If you're looking for a blind buy... this is safe... if you can find it.

Delina but greener. At first smell it was like a luscious sweet rose and similarity was %95 then at the drydown it became more subtle and quiter. I can smell the notes listed here perfectly which is kinda different than delina but it has the same dna. Longevity is the worst part here. But i ordered the 100 ml bottle so i can reapply more than PDM delina. 2 sprey of delina can last all day maybe but if i apply true amore in morning 5 spray and 5 sprey in the afternoon i can get the same effect. I mean in the moneywise it’s not a competition. It’s an everyday scent for me from this day and I will probably use my original delina bottle in the special occasions.

I might have given a review when this was first released in 2023. Now after a year and a half, tons of other Delina dupes on the market and I’ve tried basically every one of them... I find myself going back to this one. It’s simply that good. The longevity on the skin isn’t anything to brag about but I’m a layer and a oversprayer type of person, which gives me decent performance. Longevity on clothes on the other hand, is good though. I can smell it days later To sum everything up, I love Delina - I actually love most of Quentin Bisch makings and True Amore is simply the best dupe and indeed what it says... true love in a bottle🫶🏼

So, PDM Delina is one of my signature scents along with Guidance from Amouage. When I tell you this is outstanding, I am not exaggerating. Zara had a sale on this collection and I bought seven 100 ml bottles. That’s how much I love this scent. Obviously it does not have the same longevity but come on, the prices compared is mind blowing. I always over spray and this is lasting for at least 5-6 hours on my skin. On clothes for days. One last thing. The amount of complements I get from strangers when I wear this, is insane. I don’t think I have ever not gotten a compliment, so that pretty much sums up how beautiful this scent is.

What can I say.. This is Delina's sister not the youngest but younger than her. Zara's True Amore is Delina's middle sister, she's Zelina 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously it is in the dupe realm I happen to love it, my nose does not detect many differences apart from intensity Edit: not that it should matter but this scent garner a lot of compliments, mind you I sprayed the original Delina and didn't get any(doesn't project 'on' me) but True Amore? Last all day and has a crazy sillage, I'm so glad I bought it.

Upon spraying, my partner smelt it and goes “ooo, Turkish delight!” It’s a citrusy sweet green rose. Reminds me a bit of Byredo’s Young Rose, mix of a bit of Zara’s Intense Grapefruit, a bit of Delina La Rosée. Overall a lovely, clean, fresh green rose scent. It’s no Stella (favourite rose perfume forever). This is a good one from Zara.

A cheaper & slightly more wearable version of Delina! I own & love Delina, but she can be too much at times, whereas this one feels like it could be appropriate for any occasion. It's much airier than Delina & a tad sweeter too. Absolutely beautiful! Going to have to buy a few backup bottles!

Mmmh, for the 10 € price this is a very nice one. I would buy this as a gift for some younger relative. Similar to Delinas, yet a bit different as it lacks the vanilla, which suits the composition in a way - makes it airier and a bit juicier also with the help of the vetiver.

One of my top 3 scents from this line. The fragrances are relatively unique, modern and nicely done. I like the bottle design. Something I would wear when going out, but equally nice for daytime and office.

I had it since few months and i like it ! Fruity, fizzy so féminine ! Yesterday i tried Delina and oh my gush ! What a surprise ! The SAME !! They smell identical ! I Hope Zara coming soon with the sent !!

This reminds me of Jo Malone X Zara’s ‘Grapefruit Incense’. It’s leaning more feminine than unisex but I just love it!! The roses mixed perfectly with grapefruit and Vetiver is just gorgeous!!

Smells almost exactly like Valaya from Perfums de Marly And for a zara perfume, it lasts really good, I can still smell it even after showering

Such a great cheapie. I get more rhubarb than grapefruit. Rubarb, rose..it's a little tart but I like it a lot.

Great grapefruit as BabyDoll by St Laurent in the 90’. Good performance.

It's a great dupe for delina, they are almost alike. Very good perfume

In short: Lancome-Idole. Only 10x cheaper.

This is Zara x Jo Malone Graprefruit Incense made delicate, more powdery and sophisticated, with an amped up rose. To my nose it is almost a twin to Zara Graprefruit Incense, almost the same but powdery, more delicate and feminine. More perfumey and less photorealistic then that one, so maybe even more sophisticated. The rose that is at the center of both compositions is here amplified and more deep in color. And then it has aspects of Zara Fashionably London too. It is reminiscent also of some aspect of Delina Exclusif by Parfums de Marly, probably it is the duo of frankincense and vetiver which form the base for the same type of rose, but I personally find it has nothing in common with Valaya by Parfums de Marly. Many also compared it to Florabotanica by Belanciaga but I didn't find any green and stem component in the scent, and they have a different dry down too. It opens with a fresh, tart and watery burst of grapefruit but in True Amore it is less sour. There is a general floral component, very delicate and almost sweetish; the rose present in here is more powdery and mature in color then the one in Grapefruit Incense (where it reads almost waxy and May rose), probably because the presence of frankincense is more accentuated here. It is a very light veil of powdery incense, not too deep not too warm, not smoked but light and and transperent. The base is all vetiver, green and subtle not earthy like the one in Zara Graprefruit Incense, Vetiver Pamplemusse or even Jo's Rhubarb and Regal White. It is a type of vetiver more similar to the one in Zara new Lush Vetiver, actually even more soft then that. Quite composed. The floral component is strong, and sweetish. There is an earthiness of sort, even something lightly smoked that is reminiscent of Delina Exlusif. Very powdery, I like it a lot for its maturity and sophistication. It is chic for sure, and the lasting power is great!

I can not compare this with Delina line but here is my opinion. This is very feminene jamy rose scent with a fresh juicy opening. Opening is very bright and slighlty green but it turns immediately jamy turkish deligth rose. If i compare with Fashionable London from Zara, this one is more young and playful. But FL is more deep than TA, so this is the bad thing about TA. But I prefer TA because I found FL is so mature for me (in the drydown). Now i am sitting at home at enjoying this perfume with a cup of coffee. Edit: I can feel some milk chocolate touch and i love it. But longevity and sillage is really disappointing.

I didn't really care for this much when I got it a year ago and just put it onto my perfume shelf, never reaching for it. Fast forward one year and this has now really changed. It's become a really nice, smoky, almost bitter rose that really surprised me! Maybe this is one that needs to sit? Because at first, I really thought it was too candy-rose like and juvenile. Now, it's like it grew up into a elegant lady. Given the price, I actually think this one is really good quality. Not all of my Zara fragrances are a hit, but every once in a while I get a really good one!

Very similar to original Delina, slightly more green and a bit more sour to my nose. Delina dries down a bit sweeter and heavier. This dries down very musky and fresh. This is what I imagine the toilette to smell like if it existed. I would say it is more similar to La rosee but it doesn’t have any aquatic notes like La rosee. love wearing it during the day because it doesn’t overwhelm me like the original can. It still projects nicely with good longevity. Got it for 10.99 and totally worth it!

I cannot say anything about Delina comparison, because I haven't tried it on me / wore it myself. Words I would describe it with: vibrant, fresh (but not refreshing), intense, linear, long-lasting. Tart rose and grapefruit, and to me personally, I smell peony, too. It is a bit sharp. Overall, a good perfume. I also have Velvet Shadow, Splendid Bronze and Nobody Knows, and all these fragrances have great longevity! Considering the price I paid for it, money well spent.

This is a great rose scent. I'm not usually into rose scents but this type of rose is light like rose petals. Its a fresh rose stem and lasts long! Wore it today smelled great on skin and lasted 6 hours... Refreshed it by layering with solinotes vanille to give it that "rose gourmand" scent. Love it alone and with the added vanilla! Got it on sale 30 ml for $7.99 cnd - great way to ease me into rose fragrances!

"7/10 My Boyfriend - Definitely smell the rose. On its own its not great because projection could be better and its not that unique" 6.5 - Harsh opening but amazing drydown. Moderate projection for the first hour then becomes a skin scent, standard zara for you there! This is a decent cheapie overall. Edit: Turned sour after a few months and sold it.

All I’m getting is grapefruit for the first 10 minutes. (And I’m NOT mad) and then it dries down to ...pretty, soft pink crushed rose petals. Lovely.

For some reason I don’t get rose. It’s slightly sweeter than I would normally prefer, but I find this quite enjoyable. I think it’s alluring.

It's delina. Rose is quite prominent. It's a rose scent but a fresh one in my opinion. Stays on for a while. Longer on clothes than skin.

Trying to dupe Delina. Green sour rose. Decent longevity. Smells a bit cheap and synthetic. Not a bad smell for the price though.

I layered this with Vanilla 28, its beautiful!

I got a 10ml filling and I am so sad that I couldn't get a bottle of this before Zara took it out of the sortiment. I already loved Someday Sometimes a lot but this is the perfect summer spring/summer fragrance for me. I really hope they bring this back. Update: I like this but I recently went on vacation and only took this perfume with me. At some point I felt like it was getting too aggressively citrusy for me after wearing it several days in a row - it almost smelled sour. On the last day of the vacation I couldn't do more than one spray or I would get light headed. So yeah, be careful on how much you spray as it can get overdone. But overall for the price point it's a nice fresh rose scent!

I bought this yesterday. I really didn't like it much upon first spray but after half an hour, it really shines and becomes a lovely scent. The longevity is definitely Zara's best to date. *Update- I've gone back to not liking this again. It's the overload of grapefruit. Really off putting. Longevity is still good though.

I so want to like it! The strength/longevity is great for the price and it smells nice. But there's this awful sharp, sour note that somehow makes my teeth hurt--it doesn't matter if I spray on skin or in the air, the note's still there. Will probably have to destash.

This smells nearly identical to Delina by Parfums De Marly. I have a sample of Delina and smelled them side by side, the only difference is the strength, it would probably take like 10 sprays of TA to get to the Delina level.

This smells tangy on my skin. The rose is there but is only dominant on me when it dries down. With all the positive reviews, I actually don’t find this long lasting.

i dont like this at all, smells cheap and incomplete somehow. grassy in an unfresh and annoying way. ive seen comparisons with fashionably london and honestly while they are similar, FL is more well-rounded than true amore can ever be. true amore has been a huge disappointment, will be selling it or giving it away.

The most green and bitter rose I've ever smelt in my life. I can't imagine myself wearing this, it gave me headache and turned my stomach. Idk about Delina og but there's no resemblence to Delina la rosee imo. Sadly, hard pass for me.

A very feminine scent, completely dominated by rose. Personally, I don't like it, but the rose has several faces here, because we have rose jam straight from the buds, and sometimes the rose is fresher, light, smelling like the stem of the same rose. There is also a lot of sweetness underneath, which just creates a bland impression. What appeals to me more is the background where you can detect the sour citrus fruit. The grapefruit is tart and sparkling. Vetiver adds lightness and a green accent. The scent is rose, spring, subtle and sweet. Rose, however, rarely impresses me and I can't consider True Amore as something I enjoyed dealing with either. Maybe if the background background wanted to come through more loudly... the resulting composition was trite and not very interesting, although probably not ugly. If you like roses. 5/10

review where I don't compare it to Delina: It's in general a pleasant feminine scent. Sour at the start, rosery in the middle and balsamic (olibanium) in the base. To me unfortunately it jumps to the base note quickly and I wish the sour rose phase lasted longer. If not to overspray I believe it can be an office friendly scent. review where I compare it to Delina: this is extremely close to Delina, but...but the base is different and you can feel it. The olibanum in True amore *is* distinctive to me while in Delina the base is 'slicky' woody. The Devil is in details and even though to me is by far the closes dupe, since it switches to the base quickly on me I start feeling olibanum quickly and it lasts

Bought this the same time as Fashionably London. It’s like they’re the same person, but this True Amore is her in her 20s when she was bubbly, bright and carefree, and broke (LOL) while Fashionably London is her in her 30s when she’s now sexy, sophisticated, and successful. Both are Delina dupes as they say. I can’t vouch for that as I haven’t actually had a Delina but True Amore and Fashionably London are very similar. True Amore has this tangy scent though, while it becomes a bit bitter in Fashionably London. I ended up selling this to my younger sister as she preferred it over what I preferred. And yep she’s in her 20s and I’m in my 30s 😆

I both have delina, delina exclusif and their sister atomic rose. So I can compare them both. And between them I like delina the least. Because of the top much frankincense used. Therefore I prefer atomic rose and delina exclusif. This is a close dupe but more green. We can call this green delina. Citrus notes are dominant so you might caution a little bit. Like apply, wait for 5-10 minutes then leave the house. Cause ph boy the citrus notes are very apparent. Dry down is milder. But contrary to delina this seems to have less frankincense. A good dupe but if you want to invest in a very close dupe but cheaper delina go for “very good girl”

This is Delina. I didnt compare them side by side but the second i put my nose on this i handed it to my sister who loves Delina bt is a bit young for the price tag and i bought it on the spot for her. Energetically London was also a Delina dupe but with more apparent (subtle) differences -- i found it a bit more punchy and pungent than Delina, and it's less round and smooth compared to this one. True Amore on the other hand... there might be subtle differences, bt the overall effect and evolution is pretty spot on imo! And either way it's a very nice, well executed scent!

Can I just start off by saying I usually really dislike rose scents, but I really like Delina. I went into a department store, sprayed that on one wrist, then into Zara and sprayed True Amore on my other wrist and I was shocked lol it smelt nearly identical. My partner loves this on me too- it’s truly a jammy rose, similar to Rose Gourmand but not as sweet, more green. It reminds me of walking into a flower shop and smelling the fresh cut roses on the green stems all around you. It has good staying power too.

This is much better dupe of Delina than any arab fragrance that i’ve tried ( Club de nuit, Khadlaj Rose lor, Asdaaf Prive Rose, Alhambra Delilah, The Woods collection Shine or whatever the name it was) . This scent also reminds me Roses Vanille and i agree with a comment below gives YSL Babydoll vibes too! Just lovely! My mom owns it and i think I’ll take it from her :)) The only sad thing is of course the quality is not very good, the quality of ME Delina dupes is better than Zara's True Amore.

The opening is the exact same as Delina. However, as it dries down, it goes into the jammy rose direction and the green aspect of Delina is not present. I don’t know if that makes sense but if Delina is B, True Amore is B flat. If you don’t have an extra sensitive nose and are an over sprayer, my advice would be to not splurge on Delina and get True Amore instead. Overall, Delina is just brighter in my humble opinion but I could not justify its price point and got True Amore.

The girly girl. The birth of Venus. Aphrodite emerging out of a cloud. Helen of Troy. And i am none of these. But i sprayed some w leather jardin and Oh boy! Update: the opening is sweet juicy lychee and after i have tolerated that for about an hour, i get the sour, acidic, spicy rhubarb and i love it. Staying power is great. This one’s definitely grown on me and i am loving the complex scent profile. Great for summer day.

For me,it is reminiscent of “Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise” it is a powerhouse of powdery florals with an edge of feminine tarty pepper. It’s very light yet encaptivated with pure musky rose. I am impressed how gracious and sensually romantic this perfume can be. I only wish the top notes were less punchy with fruit. Nonetheless it dries down into a gentle baby powder-like accord.

I want to buy this perfume soooo bad Last week i went to Zara and i tried this out. This smells like a rose greek/Turkish delight but in a more floral way. It's a very chic, feminine and pleasant scent! Perfect for a romantic dinner, first date or for everyday! And the best part is that with 1 press it lasted 7 hours. Impressed. 💓
