Tuberose Winter

I don't believe I've owned another perfume with tuberose and iris, but if this is my introduction to the notes, I'm very satisfied. Very sophisticated, reminds me of a fluffy lilac cloud

I recently bought the duo pack with Femme Winter and Tuberose Winter, because I love Femme -despite its atrocious performance. I just bathe in it & got the bodymist too. I was secretly expecting the T-W to go on the "To sell" pile. Well, it is not ! I like! Tuberose is truly a love/hate note for me. I love it in L'interdit Rouge f.e and absolutely detest it in Khamrah where it is so indolic it ruins that otherwise lovely fragrance. There are also perfumes where tuberose gives such a sickeningly sweet performance it cracks my teeth glaze - also, i'm not 11. While it doesn't give me the lovely softness of the Givenchy this Zara perfume can decently stand on her own and be a great addition to your Autumn & Winter wardrobe. Funnily enough the note that makes this fragrance isn't even listed (but we all know Zara rarely includes the entire pyramid & sadly this website isn't all that perfect with notes either). Anyway, I get a very strong anise & spicy licorice scent that mixes beautifully with the sweetness of the tuberose. When spraying it for the first time I actually thought I'd accidentally picked up the Femme Winter -it would have suited as a flanker & the Femme Winter also got a bit of spice. As * all* Zara fragrances this one needed to chill a bit after delivery - very easy to "bruise" from travel, their perfumes - or you simply won't get the scent, nor any quality, that's in there. (Tip: open box, spray 1-2 times, put back in box & wait at least a week. I usually give them 2-3.) For a 90ml 'square' Zara this one has decent sillage, projection and longevity. It is somewhere between best & worst (Violet Blossom is the true miracle from these with major P &S and almost 6 hhrs longevity on very dry & acidic skin. Clear Honeysuckle and Hibiscus also stay long, but most of their 90ml s are podfumes : perfumes for which you need to acquire a perfumepod/travalo so you can reapply during the day). The 1st 1-2hrs are the strongest & then it stays a full work day as a skin scent. Re-spraying after that 1st hr will up the S, P & L to my surprise. Usually this kind of layering won't work for me. The fragrance is very lineair, but to be honest I'm not always fond of perfumes that change throughout the day. With Tuberose Winter what you smell in the opening is pretty much what you get. It only gets a tad more vanillic in the dry down. I don't get any jasmine. Of course this is all on MY skin. While I don't consider them dupes this Tuberose Winter reminds me strongly of Middle Eastern cult classic Daarej by Rasasi. Since people tend to compare Daarej to Lancome's Hypnose you perhaps get a better idea what kind of vibe the Zara has. NB. This is NOT a dupe, it's simply in the same line due to the Anise/ Licorice playing such an important role in all fragrances. Tuberose Winter is by far the most simplistic of the 3, but if you can't afford the other 2 it will do greatly. Due to their super crappy service ( half empty perfumes or broken atomisers upon delivery but not getting any moneyback/new ones/new atomiser or even an apology) I'd decided to no longer buy from Zara as soon as I have my Sublime Epoque backups, but w/ this one & Hibiscus new on the table for such great prices they do make me hesitate. Last but not least : I personally don't consider this a safe blind buy if you need /want to limit purchases. Tuberose is a polarising note, like anise & if you do have the latter It's still not sure ~ based on the other reviews - if it'll come out on your skin. Unfortunately Zara doesn't have the 10ml roll-ons (wish they made those sprays!) for Tuberose Winter so it is finding a friend or store that you can test at. Don't need to worry about money? Then definitely get it. It's nothing like* any of the other Zara fragrances & that alone deserves some praise. (*On my skin)

So I feel this could be a flanker of zara femme or this should be zara femme winter. The iris smells the same as zara femme almost like ambrette which I love. To me the tuberose is sweet but adds a floral touch so that this is not just a sweet bomb and the vanilla makes the whole thing even sweeter. Im not a fan of any of the short colorful cubes except for this one, femme, violet blossom and gardenia. Reason being the lasting power is really bad but gardenia, violet blossom and this one actually last longer than the others. They last even longer on clothing, jacket, scarfs ect. Zara femme lasting power is really bad but I wear around the house or bed. You will have to touch up at least twice throughout the day to keep the sillage going. I bought a backup bottle of this one which I normally never do for zara perfumes. Who am I? They got me with this one :} Edit: about to finish my first bottle and start my second. I have a very large collection so that is impressive. Also a lady literally tapped me on the should while I was grocery shopping to ask me what I was wearing. She said it smells so fresh and sweet. Unfortunately this is discontinued but I did share the name. This is super mass pleasing, projection and lasting power is so much better than usual. I can't believe how much I enjoy this scent. I also did a comparison to donna born in roma because they could be cousins. They don't smell the same but they are both fresh yet sweet. That scent profile really captures people's attention. If you like born in roma then you will no doubt love zara tuberose winter.

A fresh floral yet sweet scent. After a while, it starts smelling like Christina Aguilera by Christina Aguilera on me. I remember that scent very well, because I have memories from a vacation where I wore it every day, even though it was a decade ago. Tuberose Winter from Zara is a muted version of CA by CA and is much more mature. A nice walk down memory lane for me.

It's lipsticky and weak at first but as the minutes pass by, it gets a little stronger and smell like Clinique Aromatics in White's dry down. It's not bad at all. The more time passes developing on my skin, the better it gets. It is clean smelling and has a little bit of sophistication. Super safe for the office.
