Vancouver Hornby Street Down

Horible longevity, like 1 hour, but damn the smell, my favorite cheap parfume

To my surprise, it lasts much longer than the other three perfumes in this city collection. Opens with sweet fruity scent, then the spice is mild and smooth.

I live in Vancouver and used to work on Hornby Street. First, please let me interpret what Zara must have been going for when they picked THIS particular street in Vancouver. Spicy notes: Clearly the Law Courts. The scent of angry lawyers. Patchouli: The Art Gallery. It was also a good place to buy pot when they’d have the rallies. There were always rallies and parades about pot that started on the steps of the art gallery. Apple: Presumably the capitalist temptation of the business district and the third most expensive commercial real estate in North America. There’s also a strip club (Brandi’s) that is frequented by the various visiting movie folk as well as angry lawyers. Update: Got a sample. Opens with apple. Red Delicious apple, not Granny Smith or anything with flavour. Simple sweet fruity apple. Personally, I would have gone for something more tart and sour to represent capitalist temptation because real estate THAT expensive leaves a bitter taste. There are no Angry Lawyers. The spice is all Supreme Court robed lawyers, smooth and ceremonial. There’s definitely patchouli but it is as subdued as a fourth-year art history major on a VAG field trip contemplating their future employment prospects.
