Vanilla - French Elegance

I have a bottle of Zara Deep Vanilla from a few years ago that I've been hoarding because it's just that lovely. I figured this new vanilla would be a safe blind buy. I was right. Vanilla is pretty. It opens with soft orange and woods. And settles into a softly woody vanilla. I don't love it the way I do the Deep Vanilla, but for about an hour it smells like it could be a flanker for Fendi Theorema. If you knew and loved Theorema or the Esprit version you'll probably love this too.

French elegance is a perfect way to describe this fragrance. Ngl I purchased this after reading brumbarche's review below...alternative to Tom Ford? Sign me up! It smells niche, expensive and well-blended...like a perfume you'd find amongst the Diptyque roster. On my skin the strongest note is the mandarin for sure: it's fresh and juicy! I'm actually shocked at the low amount of votes for it! There is noticeable spicy and peppery notes in the opening complimenting the mandarin orange. I can't detect any cinnamon but instead some cosy, sweet, wintery spices. The spicy mandarin blends with a subtly powdery true-vanilla on my skin within 20 minutes. The heliotrope adds a soft characteristic to the mature, warm vanilla note. This is not a provocative scent and an easy reach in the winter, suitable for office environments. I'd say it's rather unisex, leaning towards female...however I can easily picture this on men. High quality stuff, definitely give this a try.

I got lucky and bought it really cheap second hand a few days ago! It's vanillic, citrusy, slightly powdery, but there is also something spicy and smoky in the base, like an incense. Citruses fade quickly and you're left with beautiful, aromatic vanilla. Longevity is about 4-5 hours. My bottle's batch: 02040 (it's from July 2020). The closest fragrance I can compere it to would be Vanille Insensée by Atelier Cologne. Eau Duelle by Diptyque is also similar, but more aromatic and less citrusy than Zara fragrance.

This is a soft powdery non-sweet vanilla perfume, basic but great for layering. It is a skin scent from the start and lasts about 5 hours at 80 degrees. I smell a hint of the heliotrope but not the orange. Vanilla smells real, not synthetic. I wish Zara expanded their naturals collection. The Cardamom perfume is my favorite! I wish I bought the other 2 scents in this line and may look on EBay for them. If you find one of these gems try them!

Not what i was expecting. Not exuberant vanilla gourmand but elegant and understated almost cool(i detect something herbal/bitter) smelling vanilla with spices and citrus opening. Not unpleasant and probably something i will like to wear at home before bed. Leaves a slight oily sheen when sprayed on skin (The box boasts of 5.8 % natural ingredients) so be careful with clothing.

This smells really luxurious! It is a green and slightly citric vanilla - not a gourmand one - therefore I prefer it in the heat of the summer. It lasts really well (over 7 hours), even better on clothes, and if you were to blindly smell this on someone, you would think niche perfume houses. Sadly it is discontinued, but Zara brings scents back from time to time.

I’v had old Vanilla(salty,fresh & woody) before. New is floral & spicy(imho) little bit more.

got this in a sale, thought it would be a bargain but after using it for a while, i'd avoid this. the longevity is extremely poor- i could douse myself in this and in 30mins the scent is gone. it smells like a powdery vanilla, a good cosy bedtime scent. could be good for layering as its a very basic, inoffensive scent. i like the citrus note but overall the fragrance pulls more powdery for me. for reference, i also got a sweet pastry in paris & cardamom from zara, and this scent probably ranks last in comparison due to its poor performance.

More powdery and fruity, rather than smokey version of Sahara noir (TF). More feminine too. I prefer Sahara to this, but for daytime in the cold is yummy and very very very cozy. For the price it's an awesome find - no regrets and would repurchase! Edit: one year later I'm still loving it, even more, but nowhere to purchase it from. Any ideas or new Zara packaging for the same juice? Edit 2: I found it again renamed and repackaged (as usual) in the kid's perfume section, ZARA WHITE CHOCOLATE, it was on sale , I bought all 3 they had left. HAPPYYYYYYYYY! it was love at 1st sniff! it starts with heavy Orange - which also smells a little bit spicy, slightly xmas-like (but I think it is just playing with our senses meaning I really link orange smell to the winter spices, like cinnamon and cloves) then it gives you the same amount of the unsweet natural vanilla smell, perfectly blended. And finally it dries down bringing some calm powderines to the end of your day

I blind-bought French Elegance second hand....Soooo ...perhaps it's rancid or something. It does smell like a fresh vanilla (I get the tiniest hint of something from Coty's Vanilla Fields initially), but seems to immediately morph to PLAYDOH for me :-( However, maybe it's my particular skin chemistry or a spoiled bottle...I thought I would really love this, but NO.

For me at first I hated it. But in warm weather on my clothes it lasted better than expensive scents. Beautiful fresh vanilla. I was actually stunned. Got a lot of compliments. Its versatile. If anyone in the states has a bottle to sell. Looking for this...Please send a message

Scented water at best. Smells like spicy vanilla. That is it. Discontinued, but you are missing out on nothing, really.

givenchy pi? really? I think there is no similarity between them.
