Vapeur Blanche

Zara has really been stepping up their fragrance game. If you enjoy the perfumery style of Ms. Giacobetti, this is not to be missed. Concise, easy-to-read formula, brilliantly executed. Zara list of official notes include eucalyptus, steam, cedar, and musk, and to that I might add: lily. Imagine smelling the interior of a high-end wellness spa, with its cedar-lined steam rooms, and a vase of lilies at the reception desk, and you’ve got that here, bottled. Now that I’ve worn it for a couple of days, I can’t help but notice that its scent profile reminds me of another scent offered at ten times the price of this little gem: Le Labo’s Gaiac 10. No, they’re not dupes - and VB is less smokey - but this veers close to it, especially in its final stages on skin. Batch: 32130 Date of Production: August 2023

After a first spray it gave me a cooling effect right away. It feels like a cedar forest on a rainy morning. Another great one after Blanc Ensoleille which is quite opposite - creamy, coconutty (with great performance - was testing it yesterday and lasted over 12h on my skin). I will wear Vapeur today and update later about performance. First impression is very good - may be a perfect office scent as it's very uplifting and inoffensive. I'm surprised how well blended this line is - no synthetic feel at all Performance update: on my skin I'm getting at least 9-10 hours longevity (I could still detect it close to skin after 14 hours) and around 3h above average projection which for a quite mild fragrance is very good (it may still improve over time as my bottle was produced 25 days ago)

I bought this and popeline after testing them. Both were on offer at $35.90 SGD. This was more unique and special. Simple enough with the notes yet it's giving me a therapy effect because of the Eucalyptus. After all Eucalyptus oil is commonly seen in essential oils, massage oils and used by aromatherapist often. When the camphorous aromatic woody eucalyptus combines with the soft pencil shavings like Cedarwood and supported by a not so heavy musk...it's soothing to smell and a nice calming soothing scent on the scent. In fact I keep smelling my arms, addictive. Definitely blind buy safe if shopping online. Good for calming yourself and going for it as a therapy wellness frag.

The star in this fragrance by OG is the bright eucalyptus bursting out at top note, which is also my favorite part of wearing this beauty. I also sense a lingering incense that traverses throughout the entirety of the wear. The heart and base is a light musky, yet not soapy, woody note that reminds of what is in Super Cedar in Byredo. It is released as a men's fragrance at Zara, but totally unisex.

Very unique with the strong emphasis on the eucalyptus note, which comes through so strongly in the opening. Interesting the write up for this makes a link to sports- I do have a strong personal connection with eucalyptus and "vapor rub" - a mentholated gel used for sports, so that does come through very strongly for me. Unique, well constructed, and extremely well priced.

When it was launched, this series was initially unavailable in stores, at least not in all ZARA stores. For this reason, I never had the opportunity to test the fragrances. Then, for a short time, I saw the fragrances in a store and quickly tested them. This one was the most impressive and complex of the collection. But I hesitated to buy it until last January 2025, when only this one appeared on the shelves among the perfumes on sale, barely 10€. It left me a bit shocked when I tried it for the first time; it was almost imperceptible, like a puff of hot steam. But then, warming up and mixing with the skin, an unusual minerality emerged, mixed with camphoraceous scents, which then persists musky, dry and powdery. The name Vapeur Blanche is perfect, you have the impression of entering a place saturated with white steam, with a spiritual and purifying aspect. Vapeur Blanche, created in 2023 by the renowned perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, the same one who gave us "Philosykos (Eau de Parfum) | Diptyque", is a fragrance that enchants with its refined simplicity and harmonious evolution. It is a woody, aromatic and mineral fragrance that reveals notes of eucalyptus, cedar wood and musk. These are the three notes mentioned by Zara, around which the sensations of this perfume are created. At the first spray, Vapeur Blanche envelops the senses with the fresh and penetrating aroma of eucalyptus. This initial note offers a balsamic and slightly camphorated sensation, evoking images of green leaves soaked in dew and humid woodland environments. I am immersed in a fresh eucalyptus mist that I wish would last forever. As the fragrance evolves, the eucalyptus reduces its dominance and makes room for the woody and drier heart of cedar. I get a few milky whiffs, like those dry, mineral fig leaf scents. This transition introduces a warm, slightly dry tone that perfectly balances the initial freshness, creating an intriguing contrast between the green and woody notes. But blink and it disappears, and you are left with lovely waves of creamy, musky cedar in the hours that follow. In the final stages, musk emerges as a base note, giving the composition an enveloping softness and a delicate persistence. This stage gives the scent a clean, slightly powdery quality, leaving a subtle but distinctive trail. I should point out that this is not your typical soapy white laundry musk, but something more mineral, like the damp green moss we find in the undergrowth. However, the musk does feel clean and soft. There is something incense-like, slightly resinous, but it has nothing to do with waxy or clerical perfumes. Like all the creations in this collection, it is semi-linear and rather minimalistic, with good intentions. Thanks to its freshness and lightness, Vapeur Blanche is particularly suited to warmer seasons, such as spring and summer. Its discreet nature makes it ideal for everyday use, both in business settings and informal occasions. Imagine wearing Vapeur Blanche during a morning walk in a lush garden or a coastal pine forest. The fragrance blends perfectly with natural environments, amplifying the feeling of freshness and serenity. My final thought: Vapeur Blanche by Zara is a fragrance that celebrates elegant simplicity, offering an olfactory experience that develops naturally from the herbaceous freshness of eucalyptus to the warm softness of musk. I have described my sensations based on a bottle that I have owned since January 2025.

It is light and airy like all the Giacobetti line. The juice is very interesting with the eucalyptus ingredient, but together with the musk it gets quite harmonic. At the beginning someone might get that Vicks vapo rub effect, but later this element turns into saltiness. Good value for money, moderate sillage and longevity. Again, this is a fine perfume, quite elegant and luxurious, you can't go wrong with this.

Out of 4 this one is the safest for a blind buy for a man. Still pretty much unisex, but a distinctive woody smell makes it kinda "crowd pleaser". Good for all year around and decent performer, 5-6 hours on my skin, 10 hours on a paper/tissue. Nothing too exiting but a very safe, clean perfume which doesn't smell cheap at the same time

This is a strange and rather unique fragrance. It certainly has a stronger scent of eucalyptus. I’m more use to have eucalyptus scents in room diffusers so this fragrance is rather unique to me. May not use it daily but instead use it when I’m feeling unique. 😜

This is... Odd. Who knew steam had a smell?! Well, it does and it's been captured here - the thick, hot swirling clouds of steam you'd find in a steamroom, with a blast of camphorous eucalyptus. As it settles you get warm cedarwood and the eucalyptus leaves a cold, almost minty trace throughout the whole experience. I can't quite get behind the odd hot/cold combination that's happening on my skin and I'm getting just the slightest hint of "damp", almost an earthy mustiness, from the steam note/wood combo. I think what I actually wanted was the smell of the sauna... not the steamroom 🤦♀️ It's not bad, just not for me, it's interesting and pretty unique (especially for Zara). It's light, clean without being at all soapy, fresh without being citrus, unisex and inoffensive - a pretty safe office or everyday-type scent. Definite spa-like vibe, but more like being AT the spa, rather than spa products. Personally I would prefer this as a room fragrance or a candle - even a bath product for the full "spa" experience!

It's not what I expected. I don't get the Vicks Vapo Rub that I've heard in some reviews, more like a whisp of eucalyptus leaf, and not so much eucalyptus oil. I was hoping for a stronger eucalyptus smell, but the woods are more dominant on my skin. It sits relatively close to my skin. If I would smell this on someone else, I wouldn't really think that this person is wearing a perfume. To me, it smells more like a lingering smell of "having been to the spa" compared to wearing a scent that is reminiscent of the spa. It's okay, I'm not getting rid of it, but I'll probably only revisit it once we get deeper into spring or even summer.

At first I liked it, ok smell, nothing outstanding, just ok. I said, “I’ll use this when I don’t want to use any fragrance or just to be at home”. 4 five sprays first, after some hours (maybe 4 at most) I made the mistake to apply 2 more sprays and headache started, made me feel nauseous, had to change clothes. You’re not gonna love this fragrance after some days, or even if you like it, people around will not like it if you are with them considerable time, smells like HUMIDITY.

The strongest of the four and also the most masculine.

Very reminiscent of a wood sauna. I was hoping for more eucalyptus, but the cedar is dominant here. I'm surprised this line is marketed for men, as I think it's very unisex. Of the three I purchased (Livre Blanc, Vapeur Blanche, and Blanc Ensoleille), this one leans the most conventionally masculine. As this Zara line is more simplistic, the fragrances work well for layering to add longevity and complexity to other fragrances. If available in stores, I’d suggest sampling first.

This reminds me of the smell of the moist wood in saunas. The smell of wood/cedar and the steam/water vapor. I can’t seem to pick up the eucalyptus note. Personally, i wouldn’t suggest blind buying unless you enjoy that type of scent profile. No idea how to layer this too so may end up selling or giving it to a friend.

It smelled like cigarettes to me.

It smells like an incomplete Kenzo Intense edt, as if you only blend the top and a part of the heart notes of that fragrance. Very ozonic (Floralozone), electric, steamy, woody but cold and slightly metallic on my skin. Interesting, my type of minimalist fragrance, but again, it does smell a bit unfinished, it doesn’t have a solid backbone imo. Based on two/three sprays on the back of my hand, its lasting power is about two hours. ETA: tried it for a second time. It smells like Gaiac 10 where gaiac is replaced with eucalyptus, I understand why people find it calming. Yet it was not convincing enough to buy a bottle ar discount. ETA2: now months later I tried it for a third time in a different setting / weather and it comes off way better on my skin, as if it opens up more. I got myself a 25ml bottle, happy with it. Do test it out if you like soft woody minimalist fragrances with a subtle twist: imagine you are in a wood-cabin, ironing a shirt that has spilled eucalyptus oil on it. The steam that comes off is what this fragrance smells like.

If you like Virginia or Texas cedarwood, which are creamy and less terpenic/piney types compared to Atlas cedarwood, you’ll probably love this one. Imagine the cedarwood note from Philosykos EdP, or from Diptyque Tam Dao Edt/EdP. It’s one of those zen scents and another good release from Zara. All on a blanket of Iso E Super and hot-iron-steam-musks, a la Bvlgari Pour Homme line, namely Habanolide x Exaltolide. After some use I can clearly notice a significant watery floral note too, probably cyclamen aldehyde (reference: Byredo - Blanche).

A nice variation on the first Bvlgari pour Homme from 1995...which I loved to wear at that time. They share the same crispy cold and green freshness, almost mineral & mentholic, with a dry woody touch. Here it got a contemporary “update,“ lying in a soft bed of creamy & powdery white musk for more easygoing comfort.

Sauna mist. Lightly camphorous, cedar, musky but clean. This is a perfect barely-there perfume for those who like a no-perfume, perfume. I like it for bedtime, for the gym, or when I just want a clean and comforting scent that is just for me.

Smell like eucalyptus and talc !!! It’s so cold and it has a spa vibe ...... it’s like being in hut tub with pure eucalyptus oil in the middle of winter and snow it’s falling in your face , it’s pretty Cooling sensation

All four are bangers but if had to choose one that suprised me the most it would be this one. Its not loud by any means but it is airy and persistent and it never gets boring or synthetic. Amazing quality
