Vibrant Leather & Tobacco Elixir

This was a blind buy from Zara's recent sale, I'm a huge tobacco and vanilla lover and was looking for something seductive and sexy. At first, the fragrance smelled absolutely horrific, extremely pungent leather that smelled like incense and a distinct lack of tobacco or vanilla. It was genuinely so awful I was prepared to return the fragrance straight away. I had asked my sister for her opinion on the scent and she shot her head back in reflex to the pungent smell. However, I had hope that Zara wouldn't sell liquid ass in a bottle, so after giving the bottle a good shake and spraying about 10 times I reapplied the next day and wow. The leather fart bomb had subsided so much and the fragrance had started to develop these interesting and amazing notes of tobacco and vanilla to the point where I was just in love. I do have to admit I'm not a huge fan of the leather but the dry down is just phenomenal I can barely smell the leather and it actually compliments the tobacco and vanilla quite well. Its simple but complex and I cant stop smelling my arm. I definitely would recommend this fragrance for winter/fall and minimal sprays, but even on my warm post-workout body, it smelled beautiful. The longevity is a beast (I've never had that with Zara perfumes they usually die down after 4-6 hours) on my skin it can easily last 6-8 hours until it simmers out and becomes more seductive towards the 12-hour mark and on my hoodie, it lasted even longer, it has been about a day and I can still smell it. The sillage is good for a Zara perfume, when I went into fresh air I could smell it radiating off me. As other people mentioned it had a sweet smell but definitely manly and well blended.

I have never smelled Layton, so i cant compare this to him, but i have smelled Pegasus Exclusif, ot has some similarities on the drydown, that fresh note, fresh and little fruity, but its maybe only 20% similar, not enough to be said its clone. Back to scent, this is my 4th Zara perfume, and with this elixir line i think Zara aims big, scent is lovely,sophisticated, there is no way to guess that is Zara perfume blindly smelling it. Scent for me is 8/10, leather opening, tobacco in the middle and drydown for me is some fresh/fruity combination. I cant detect vanilla. Still to test the performances, i got it just few hours ago, all i can say is that it project very well in cold air. I wish it was 100ml bottle. If performances prove to be okay, i think its perfect winter everyday perfume. Performance update: 5 sprays on neck, 2 on clothes. Monstrous projection for the first 3 hours, endless compliments and complaints about choking :), im in 7th hour of application, still project strong, for the price, its decent perfume.

I bought this perfume a couple of days ago and I have to say I am absolutely stunned by the smell and for once a Zara perfume that lasts very long and projects aswell, might be a miracle xD It opens up with a leathery scent then followed by a kinda strong tobacco but not overly strong, then it comes out this beautiful vanilla. On clothes it lasted me more than a day easily, on the skin it actually lasts for a full day aswell, obviously not projecting for a whole day but I think for the price its actually a bargain! Could be a good everyday if Zara doesn't reformulate it halving the performance :) I prefer it at night time and for occasions since its quite an attractive smell. - Price (considering its performance) 9/10 - Longevity 8/10 - Smell 8/10 - Projection 7.5/10 Don't overspray it or you gonna suffocate people xD

This is good. Fantastic job by Zara and specifically Jerome Epinette. It smells sweet but dont get it twisted, this is all manly. No where near unisex. Its strong so a few sprays will go a long way and lasts 5-6 hours before tapering off to skin smell but its still there. Safe blind buy for lovers of deep intense scents

Wow! This is certainly rich and classy, like you'd expect from any elixir. From the first spray it's obvious quality, it didn't even have time to macerate or mature. I get a really nice SEXY leather mixed with a sweet tobacco. If there is vanilla, it's not overly sweet, it's only for support and is well blended.

This started of weak, but after a few spays and letting it sit for a couple of days, made a mistake of 5 sprays, and I was chocking myself out, it's that strong, reminds me of a smoother version of khamrah but with tobacoo, out of the 3 released in my view this is the best one 👍🏾

Similar to jpg scandal pour homme without freshness. I was hoping for something different with much more tobacco. It's 90% similar to rich warm addictive infinite and 80% similar to antique brown without the booz and coconut.

It is cheap,I would pay,at least 3 times the price, and some other companies who make 'elixirs' would charge 5 times the price,, it's the best Zara I've purchased and I've purchased a lot, for the price just buy it.

Whoa! caught me off guard on how great this perfume is. A well blended rich warm comfort in a bottle. It lasts and the sillage is worth more than price tag. Now I regret not buying a backups.

Is there any way to contact zara to tell them this line is the best line and u should bring them back!why in the world u discontinued the best ones and keeps the garbages,whyyyy?

my goodness this is amazing... sweet black leather, its very sexy! this has dimensions to it with a perfect blend its basically bargain priced niche with a magnetic cap too.

It has a caramel note, idk what anyone says, it a spicy caramel,don't get tobacco, leather or vanila to be honest, just the caramel. Maybe you need to let it sit for awile.

The best from the line Vibrant Leather Elixir, it has NOTHING in common with the OG! Sillage/performance....good!

Zara keeps the bad perfumes and discontinued the good ones,maybe they should change the ceo instead of perfumes

Looking for a bottle in the US

At first spray I was like, yeah this scent is different energy and I was so excited to wear it after testing out in store. However, the main part I really like is the dry down tobacco and vanilla and I find the leather a bit too overpowering at times. Maybe I'm not the biggest fan of leather notes in fragrances but I think it would be KILLER without the leather. Still a great winter/fall evening time scent! If you find the leather a bit two much maybe limit the sprays to 1-3.

This was such a good perfume. I have tried quite a bit of the tobacco/leather-ish perfumes Zara released and, as many say in other reviews, they keep the bad ones and discontinue those which are definitely worth it. I have been using Jean Paul Gaultier's le male EDT during the day and this one at night when going out and would definitely pay ~ £50 (more than double of what I paid) to have it again

It is - not cheap - 2024 release - opening is good - typical sweet scent - bottle is nice - jumping on the elixir bandwagon It is actually good and for once a Zara perfume that last more than 4 hours This does last full day on shirt Overall 8/10

Very nice, i tested this once, i love the opening very nice leather, but than it become more sweet and the leather goes in background. And up there at the "main accords" section, leather bar should be as long as the vanilla one.

#57 review As elixir it is not atomic but paramters are better than most of Zara frag. It is good vanilla frag for this money. My rate is 8.5/10

First Zara fragrance I ever bought for the shits and giggles. My homie was shopping for clothes and I decided the smell a few of the frags they had and bought it for fun as I was very into the tobacco and vanilla combo at the time. Heard Zara’s discontinued the elixir line so oh well, but hey, it’s a nice piece to have even if it’s a little too much for my nose. Scent: Black leather. Tobacco. Vanilla. Three notes and that’s basically all you smell. Like the leather of a brand new car seat touched with dry spiciness from the tobacco and a little sweetness to round it out from the vanilla. VERY dark and masculine smelling so if deep leather frags are not your style, forget it. Performance: Longevity is above average, I get around 8 hours on skin but for some reason (on me) there’s almost no projection like I can smell it on my skin but it doesn’t really move further beyond my own bubble so it makes the performance kinda useless. Versatility: Once again, SUPER dark and masculine. Wouldn’t want to smell this on a lady and it’s so leathery and spicy that I would not recommend this for any period other than the cold seasons. Scent: 6.5/10 Performance: 4.5/10 Versatility: 2/10 Personal Score: 5/10 A better than usual Zara frag. But the quality is as expected.

Sorry for my language but this smells like ass-sweat on a leather couch. I am not a hater of leathery smells. I love Ombre Leather and African Leather particularly but this doesn't have any depth to it. I get that it is a bargain for its price but wouldn't consider buying it. There might be better alternatives for sure.

Tried all 3 from the new Vibrant leather Elixir line. This one strays the furthest away from the Vibrant Leather DNA. The dominant note is tobacco. It starts very earthy, dark and a bit sweet. The tobacco isn't dry or cigar-like, it's more similar to dirt or wet ground. There is a cherry-like sweetness present, also courtesy of the tobacco. It is a moderate sweetness, not too sugary. The Vibrant Leather DNA is lurking in the background, a bit present but definitely subdued. I don't detect any caramel that other reviewers seem to be getting. To me it is much more like black tea with honey than caramel. Definitely not close to JPG Scandal. This is a very interesting scent, I wonder how popular this would be with people who aren't fragrance nerds. I think it has potential. The smells like section here I think gives you a bad idea how it smells, don't look at it too much. Also I have a hunch that people will try to relate this to Tobacco Vanille, as many people know it and it also based around the combination o f tobacco and sweet notes. But they are nothing alike. Tobacco Vanille has dry, smoky, cigar-like tobacco with a lot of sugary, vanilla sweetness. None of that is present here. Do give this one a try, it's expensive for Zara standards but that still means quite affordable (25€ for 60ml with magnetic cap).

this right here is one of the most unique takes on the Aventus DNA ever. it has that same DNA, but replaces the pineapple note with a sweet vanilla and tobacco. I'm so surprised at how Zara can make a fragrance like this. this smells almost niche. the blend quality is fantastic. this fragrance opens up with a strong note of tobacco and leather, then dries down into a beautiful sweet vanilla scent while still smelling like the original vibrant leather. This is also the first men's fragrance from Zara that lasts a long while, 9 hours to be exact. There are other fragrances that smell pleasant from Zara but they just don't last and project but this here lasts and projects really well. honestly fantastic job by Zara, this here became a new favorite. EDIT: after 3 months of owning this fragrance I think it's safe to say this is the absolute BEST zara fragrance ever. This might even be one of my favorite winter scents ever. The dark leather and the sweet vanilla combo is so so so addictive. The aventus DNA in the background is such a beautiful touch to this. Lasts 10 hours with good projection. Absolute banger.

This smells like cross between Aventus and Pure Havane but blended in a way that is a few steps beyond if you just layered those 2 fragrances. The longevity and silage are both impressive for what you pay for this and it's a shame to see these elixirs done away with so hastily by Zara. The Zara perfume phenomenon is a strange one - a high street store that cranks out the perfumes dime a dozen and yet seems to cater pretty well for frag heads with releases such as this. If they look to start releasing more scents that perform better than their bog-standard releases and charge a bit more I think it could be worth their while. These Vibrant Leather elixirs were of good quality and value for money anyway

An other gem from Zara and a new shame it's a discontinued product again. This vibrant leather & tobacco have a huge longevity and the juice is very powerful. Unfortunately, I have only one bottle and I want to make it last. I'm so in love with this strong tobacco scent ! It's perfect for winter and a fabulous compliments maker ! But be careful with the spray for an indoor use, it's pretty strong.

The first time i smelled this one on my college in the bank was back to nov 2024 ... it was amazing .. i was into blue fragrances such as bdc and sauvage .. so when i smelled it i asked him about it and since i was a smoker and even though i gave up smoking since 2020 and i like the smell of tobacco... could anyone give us a similar fragrance ?

I smelled this in the store today and loved it. It reminded me of something. Then it hit me. SMACK! This is a weaker version and very slightly different than Mancera Red Tobacco which I already own and love. So I'll pass even though it smells good. Mancera projects and is much more concentrated. Good attempt at a copy though.

Boring, that same tonka/vanilla/tobacco/caramel combo thats in almost every fragrance they sold last year. Zara is doing much much better job with freshies than with gourmands. I bought many of them and after wearing them for months I have hard time finding any difference between them. They all seem the same fragrance to me

By the way, this one does not smell like Aventus. Your crazy if you think so. There are others at Zara that are getting closer to being Aventus clones tho. That new Red Vibrant Leather is the closest one yet. But still not quite there. This one does not though

It does smell like Layton Exclusif but it smells way more like Pegasus Exclusif with the heavy focus on the Vanilla. Zara raising prices but still affordable. Ill test my luck and grab it on sale if it ever goes on sale
