Vibrant Leather Eau de Parfum

The origin of perhaps Zara's best line, created by Jerome Epinette, brings us a fragrance clearly inspired by one of the best men's perfumes of the last decade: Aventus from the former house of Creed. Vibrant Leather arrived at a time when Aventus was still considered niche by many. It's not the first dupe by any means, but it came before the boom in Arabic perfumery and before Club de Nuit Intense Men became the phenomenon it was. Vibrant Leather opens with a nuanced bergamot citrus, both sweet and vibrant. This opening seems to rest on a leather base, which is clearly synthetic and likely begins with a slightly dirty musk, thanks to the bamboo and patchouli for that sweet warmth, finishing with papyrus, which adds a smoky touch. It's worth noting that the pineapple is present, but very subtly. Frankly, Vibrant Leather is about 80% similar to Aventus; it lacks the same refinement and robustness. You could say it's the skeleton of Aventus. Vibrant Leather has a sweet, citrusy pineapple scent at the top, followed by a smoky leather base. The best analogy I can think of is like when the scent of a men's perfume gets trapped in clothing, and when you wash and move a shirt, it releases those animalic hints. The fusion of human body odor with the perfume—fruity, citrusy, musky, smoky, and fruity—emanates a clean, bold, and sensual masculine scent. The difference lies in the fact that Aventus is more crystalline, more refined, more natural, and has more presence. If Aventus is a high-quality cotton shirt, Vibrant Leather is a somewhat more affordable option. Dubbing Aventus is a safe bet these days. Aventus itself could be categorized as a unique scent on the market, and there are dupes of all kinds, from Arabic fragrances like Armaf, Afnan, and Lattafa, to premium perfumes like Loewe and mainstream brands like Versace. Some are more citrusy, others spicier, some fruitier, some more suited to evening, among others. Vibrant Leather could be considered a dupe that tries to be quite similar, so it aims for that clean, citrusy, and easy-to-understand aura. It projects well, from medium to high for two hours, then fades to a faint scent. It lasts for six hours, nothing out of the ordinary. It's a versatile scent, suitable for everyday wear, the office, relaxed mornings, and mild heat. It's neither overpowering nor invasive. 3/4, nothing to add, it's a solid option within Zara, and for the price, you could say that among the Aventus dupes, there are better options than Vibrant Leather, but almost all of them are more expensive than Zara's gem. Only Vibrant Leather Oud surpasses it, which is undoubtedly a masterpiece from the fast-fashion house. It's highly recommended because it's an easy-to-use perfume. For anyone wanting to get started with perfumery, this is a safe, affordable, quick-to-understand, and endearing masculine scent that, despite being very common, is a fragrance that will go down in history, and I'm sure it will stand the test of time and mass popularity.

Warning: This review is about the 2025 Elixir version, not the original. Sadly we do not have a fragrantica page for it yet but I wanted to share my experiences. My Vibrant Leather Elixir arived today (I am running out of my explorer, and I wanted to opt for something different). And here me out, it is crazy good. I did a side-by-side with my Explorer, Og Vibrant Leather and the Elixir version and this was a winner among those. The notes on the website for Elixir is same as the original, but I didn't check it from the ingredient list. To my nose, smell-wise, this and the original are about %90 percent the same and only differences are the new Elixir version carries that crisp citrus opening for longer and has a more prominent Leather-papyrus combo in the drydown but I expect this is caused by the increased perfume oil. Because of that perfume oil increase, Elixir has a very good performance. I mean no, do not expect a CDNIM just because of the label ''elixir'' but for the price, it lasts and projects great; far surpressing my explorer on longevity and it also radiates great, I was constantly able to smell this whenever I wave my hand for the first 2 hours. The longevity is around the 8 hour label for Elixir right now, and I expect it will even be better if I macerate it. Long story short: With the new Elixir version, Zara has released a non-acrid, long-lasting, close clone to the original Aventus for the best price on the market. But, if you want something a bit twisted on DNA I'd say Explorer is still the way to go.

I fell in love with this fragrance the first time I sprayed it, just for the sake of itself, not as a clone of Creed Aventus. It reminds me of clean, fresh, and clear spring water bubbling out from its source, even in 40 degrees Celsius humid weather. Nevertheless, its longevity is extremely poor on my skin. After only half an hour, it's gone, leaving nothing behind. I wonder if it is only my skin and the chemistry thereof behind this poor performance. I imagine the production process of this fragrance at Zara workshop. The production line starts with a water tap, connected to the mains and controlled by an employee. He/she fills 9/10 of the bottles on the conveyor with water, while browsing their Instagram feed. The second stage involves another worker fill 1/10 of the bottles with alcohol from a bucket, using a syringe, while munching on chips. And in the third stage, a trace of essence is introduced into the bottles with a cotton swab (cotton on each end removed), having been dipped in the 10ml essence container for the whole 10 million bottle batch. And the last worker prints "Eau de Parfum" on them. Actually, this is what Zara is all about: copying most popular designs in the market in an extremely 'diluted' way, manufacturing and delivering the end-products (from textiles to fragrances) to their stores within a week. But, I would really be very much willing to pay more than I would pay for Creed Aventus, if it had a decent performance.

Things I want to add from experience with the new Elixir after 1.5 months: 1- Performance is really good (10 hours with macerated bottle) but atomiser doesn't spray a lot of juice. I was really curious about this, so I went on and checked it and 1ml takes about 22 sprays from my bottle (in contrast, my Dior Sauvage bottle takes 15). So if you have a problem with performance of Elixir, there is a great chance of atomiser not spraying enough or going noseblind. 2- This smells much, much natural than I first thought. Opening is literally photorealistic lemons, those sour ones that you mix with your salads, preworkout, detox juice etc. Drydown is 1 on 1 to the old, woody-smoky batches of Aventus. In quality, destroys CDIM and Explorer. 3- Compliment gather. I used Explorer and I CDIM before and I got some bad comments from my friends especially with CDIM. So far, all of them really liked this on me so that I had to gatekeep it from them. Also, special thanks to @Dior Sausage, @SigSnifficant, @goiemarius and @rkpanda. Saw this at Winners for $9.99 CDN (100ml Nov 23 batch) and jumped on that box. Have been wanting to try it for awhile. As far as the scent itself, it's my favorite and the closest of the Aventus style fragrances I've tried (CDNM, L'Aventure, Explorer, Victor No 9, Supremacy Silver). Smooth and classy, not harsh. It's the only one that I get more than a hint of pineapple. It all works. The leather, bamboo, patchouli. One of my best purchases. And the bottle design is simple and gorgeous. Downside? Like everyone mentions, the longevity. But I think it more has to do with nose blindness and not the scent itself. First day I tried it, it was nuclear. Lasted a good 9 hours. Strong whiffs of it. Couple days later I tried it for work and upon first spray, I barely smelled it, and it disappeared fast. But I'd still smell it in the air from time to time throughout the day and it's fantastic. Tonight is the same, great in the air when moving around, but otherwise gone on skin. Wish I could smell it strong. It would be my main fragrance.

I got this bottle back in 2018 when it was first released. I stopped wearing it for a good year and a half or so after just being burned out on Aventus. I decided to wear this again the other day and this was my experience. This is clearly a cheaper, synthetic copy of Aventus. The opening, in my opinion is the best part, but even still, it's best enjoyed at a distance because when you really dig into the notes, it's quite synthetic. On the drydown, This and a lot of the pineapple vintage clones have a similar note to it- an acidic, almost urine like quality that lingers and I really, really do not enjoy. Unlike others, I got great performance. Even with just a few sprays, I was able to pick up this smell all day long. Even the following day, I could still clearly smell the fragrance on my shirt. I can't knock the performance on this, but I can knock the smell. If you want an aventus like fragrance, save up and get aventus. For me me personally, I am tired of Aventus and certainly tired of Aventus clones.

The is probably Best known Aventus Dupe from Zara. It is cheap but the juice is just like a cologne. It doesn't last. On my first use I can hardly smell it after 30-45 mins and that is already overspraying 15-20 sprays. After an hour I did another 20-25 sprays. It's been 3 hrs since the first initial spray and it's a skin scent already. So based on this, Longevity is probably up to 4 hrs max for the sensitive noses and most of us wouldn't get much of it by the 2nd to 3rd hour. It goes to become a skin scent in 10-15mins or so really. Weak projection and literally no silage. A poor man's Aventus wannable. But still selling like hot cakes and their best seller. Mine is the big hard box nice presentation with a photo but the bottle is the same as any black box one. 41201 April 2024 batch. Rather disappointing due to poor performance.

I bought the latest one. With the white big packaging. Its is very long lasting!.. 3 sprays on my neck one at back. I say 7-8 hours of good performance. 4hrs of very intense smell. idk about the projection tho i wish i knew but even after 6 hours i can smell it on me, on 8h note i can smell it slightly i was surprised that it is longlasting because the other zara's perfume last only about 4-6hrs and smell is gone. I worked in a hot & lot of movements environment (sweat a lot) and i smell it more often. Its amazing. Citrusy, elegant vibe,. After 12 hours the best way to test the fragrance if its still there sitting on your skin is rubbing your hand against your neck and smell it! After 12 hrs. The perfume is still sitting on my skin and it is surprising ZARAAA. Nice magnet cap and sprayer!

I'm really digging this fragrance. It's an Aventus clone minus the smoke and with citruses replacing the pineapple.It is very pleasant, specially the orange bergamot note which is intoxicating. You can overspray this thing, its longevity is not its forte. Within the third hour it's almost completely gone, so I would say this is something you could wear for the office as a daily wearer. And, since it's not a projection beast and fades away rather quickly, this could be easily used for romantic dates. Women do not typically enjoy the smokey notes, so that makes Vibrant Leather a perfect choice over Aventus for dates. I picked up the small 60ml bottle, but I'll pick up the big 100ml one when it's gone. This is really good stuff.

Vibrant Leather Elixir 2025 review (no page up yet): Best Aventus clone I have tried. I have tried CDNIM, Explorer, Cedrat boise, Montagne Pineapple Frais/Royale, L'aventure, CEO Vach Cittoni, and of course the real Aventus. VL Elixir is a smooth, natural smelling, dupe of Aventus. It is a little more sour than sweet in the initial spray (Aventus smells sweeter to me) but its not close to the screechy lemon that CDNIM has. Performance is a little better than Explorer but for the price, this cannot be beat. Drydown is lush and very reminiscent of Aventus. Best dupe I have found and if you love the Aventus DNA, this is a no brainer. Get it before Zara discontinues it like they do all their perfumes.

Tested this today at a nearby Zara. I don't get the comparisons to Aventus at all. It's almost as if every masculine freshie in the last 10 years just get default compared to Aventus by unimaginative fragheads. Firstly, this is a smarter fragrance than Aventus. Aventus always evoke the image of a slimey Miami pick-up artist in my mind - the manosphere types with white suits, slick back hair, shirt unbuttoned too low revealing their gold chain necklace and bright red chests. This is classier than that. This is for the gentleman that's actually a gentleman. Elegant and not crass. As such, if there's any other frag this is comparable to that would be Bleu de Chanel. Not Aventus.

Picked the Elixir up in store yesterday and can confirm it is fire. It smells less synthetic than the original and lasts all day. Allbeit I'm an oversprayer (approx 10 sprays) even overspraying the edp didn't work. The Elixir lasts an entire work day and has a great drydown. Zara has really surprised me here, they went from having the worst performing Aventus clone to the best. Outperforms my F Batch and also Montblanc Explorer. I genuinely don't see a reason to buy Aventus. I still rock Explorer because that has a different vibe for me. Highly recommend the Elixir VL and stocking up. Excited to see the hype when the fragrantica page appears for it.

This scent is about 95% identical to Montblanc Explorer (which of course is a clone of Aventus), VL is just slightly lighter/fresher than Explorer. The real difference between the two is performance. Vibrant Leather has about 1 hour of projection and 4-5 hours of longevity. Explorer has about 2-3 hours of projection and 8+ hours of longevity. A 100ml of VL is $29.90 & you can find a 100ml of Explorer on eBay for $38. IMO, I would pay a little extra and get Explorer whose fragrance quality and presentation are superior. All that being said, this is an absolutely fantastic, compliment-pulling, versatile fragrance that I would recommend to anyone.

Definitely smells like Creed Aventus. Ever so slightly different, difficult to explain how it's ever so slightly different, but you can notice the slight difference. Regardless, it's a fantastic fragrance, longevity is decent, could be better, but still good. My girl friend absolutely loves this scent. When she smelled it on me, her response was "oh my god! you smell so good! If we were alone right now, I'd be all over you!" And this is coming from a woman who is rather picky when it comes to scents. The price is very good, I highly recommend. Next time you're at Zara, grab yourself a bottle.

100% better than the overly hyped Aventus Creed... it is more versatile and more affordable. I've had multiple complements on this, and some have even thought that it was Creed, which I almost took as an insult! It carries the freshness of CK One, but it is warmer, more masculine, more refined and more versatile. I'd be just as happy wearing this 24/7, 365 days a year, as I would with Bleu de Chanel. Almost perfect, just wish the silage and longevity were boosted more! Summary; versatile, fresh, warm, wish it lasted longer.

This is another review for the elixir of this one as the page isn't available yet for that particular one. But anyway. The first 10 minutes after spraying it just smells like every other Aventus clone out there. Then BANG! From the dry down onwards The old and best batches of Aventus smack you straight in the face. This is an absolute nod and homage to the original and legendary one we have all grown to know and love. Do not walk to buy this. Run. Especially before they reformulate, and turn it to sh*t

This fragrance is one of the best-smelling I've had in my entire life. Its performance is not the best, but, to me, it's totally worth buying. Because it's so cheap, you can reapply and you'll be fine. It smells so good! It kind of has a sense of a smoked pineapple in the best sense. On me, it lasts at least 2.5 hours projecting, but the smell lasts an entire day. Anyway, it really does get really close to Creed Aventus. Not in quality, but in how it smells. I totally recommend it 100%.

I wore this today at work and an incredibly sexy woman asked me if I was wearing Creed. (I assume she meant Aventus). I said that I wouldn't wear Creed in such an environment, I was running a lunch in an office, so lots of food smell around. Then she shouted to the rest of the girls; No girls, he doesn't wear Creed 😄😄 That being said, this stuff is very close to Aventus but it got its own "thing" as well. Really like it and always receive compliments and attention with Zara VL 👍

The reason why I'm a fraghead. A friend of my dad gave me a consumed 50ml bottle of this elixir because I heard that Aventus was the fragrance to go. 2022 was the year, saving money to build my PC in a customer service job. I used to wear an Avon fragrance which my great great grandma gave me, then I switched to this. People started to talk to me more, I even was a crush of a girl just because of this. Then I got my hands on an Explorer by Montblanc. Simply a 10/10 like Aventus.

Another review of Elixir It's something between Montblanc Explorer and CDNIM. Great value and quality. That bamboo note is lovely; it makes it a little bit different from the average Aventus clone. I also tested L'aventure in the store, and Zara is definitely better. The first 20 minutes smell like lemon (juicy, realistic lemon). After that, it gets smoother and bamboo note starts appearing. Because of better longevity, I prefer it over Explorer. Best Aventus dupe so far.
