Vibrant Leather Summer

Fantastic summer fragrance at any price. On sale, it's an absolute steal. (Full price was $29.90 for 120 ml; bought mine on sale for $17.99; at the time of writing, it was on sale for $9.99.) Here's some additional background, since the basenotes and fragrantica entries are pretty bare. To start, worth noting this is supposedly EDP strength, which might draw some skepticism considering this is Zara and citrus is not known for longevity, but there's something to it. The box identifies the perfumer as Jerome Epinette, and he gives a little blurb about capturing summery days while listing the following notes: Top: mandarin, ginger Middle: neroli, lotus Base: blonde wood, ambroxan Packaging is very high quality: box is nice and gives lots of details, and the bottle is a heavy chunk of smoothly rounded glass with a well-crafted, sturdy plastic cap... best of all the cap is magnetic and the atomizer is excellent. If it didn't say Zara on the bottle, you would think this is rather high-end. (Much nicer than my Guerlain Vetiver bottle that comes with the lame Habit Rouge-style square-shouldered bottle). On to the juice: this is clearly a modern summer citrus in the same lane as Dior Homme Cologne (DHC) or Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne (CAHSC), i.e., a clean and pristine, minimalistic update to the classic EDC style, focused squarely on the citrus but with synthetically enhanced performance. I get why people call it a DHC clone, since they're similar enough to wear almost interchangeably. They fit the same mood and share certain aspects, but they're not identical and I find they do have slightly different use cases. For context, before getting my bottle of Vibrant Leather Summer (VLS), I had been casually questing for the ultimate summer citrus. Earlier this year I picked up decants of DHC and CAHSC as well as a few Atelier Cologne samples (Bergamote Soleil and Cedrat Envirant), so I've been able to directly compare them all and see where VLS fits in. To dispense with the obvious, the Atelier Colognes are both a bit more realistic in the top notes, but both have completely different woody drydowns (they do feel synthetic in the base notes but the end result is quite different). I love both and would like to get bottles at some point, but they're ultimately doing something a bit different (and cost much more than VLS). Compared to DHC: VLS has a slightly brighter, fizzier opening note than DHC. It's quite similar and still reminds me of bergamot, but the presence of ginger gives it a slightly rounder / spicier feel that might explain why it's presented as "mandarin". Whereas DHC has more of a "chilled lemonade" opening. VLS also feels a bit weightier, partially living up to the promise of an EDP; it hangs on the skin with more density than DHC, which feels almost ethereally light and wispy to me. In this sense, VLS reminds me more of CAHSC; that has a more complex citrus opening (perhaps lemon, lime, bergamot, and tangerine) but that sometimes gives off a faint celery note that's not at all present here. In terms of performance, I find CAHSC hangs around on my skin a bit longer than the others; VLS is closer to that but not quite as sustained; and DHC is very light and requires a heavy hand on the sprayer to last more than a few hours, and even then I need to reapply. The heart of VLS has a touch of floral presence to my nose, similar to CAHSC, plus a noticeable hit of ginger, which gives it it's own character. And the base of VLS does feel ever so slightly woody or even faintly vetiver-ish in a way that the others don't. DHC, by contrast, feels like a bright citrus note that fairly quickly transitions to the light white musk that accounts for most of the wear. I still like DHC a lot, but I think it's greatest strength is that it's the most minimalistic of all of these. It's a total distillation of the style, and you can give yourself a single spray and smell perfectly decent without alerting anyone to the fact you're wearing a fragrance. Both VLS and CAHSC have stronger projection and last longer, so I'm not sure either of these is truly interchangeable with DHC in that sense. Though of course all three are quite similar and I would happily wear any of them. Directly compared to CAHSC, I find that scent has a bit more going on; more citrus constituent parts in the top note; more florals in the heart; and a slightly different dry down (that I'm not equipped to describe particularly well). I have found that one cloying if I spray too close to a workout; the sweat brings it to life and can make it a bit too intense. It also lasts very well, and has a high quality feel to the blend and performance that I tend to associate with Chanel fragrances. That said, the opening of CAHSC often smells like celery to me. I've never seen it described that way elsewhere, and I've come to like it more over time, but I ultimately prefer the simpler approach of DHC and VLS. In terms of performance... 2 sprays feels quite powerful on me in terms of projection. (By contrast I usually apply 5 or 6 DHC sprays from my decant and 2 or 3 of CAHSC.) It lasts a decent time for this kind of citrus-forward scent, maybe a few hours of solid projection plus several more as a fairly present skin scent. I know Zara fragrances have a reputation for terrible performance and longevity, but I can confirm that's not the case here. It's not beastly, but great for a summer citrus. CAHSC doesn't project quite as strongly, but I find it lasts a bit longer in the drydown. The important takeaway here: VLS is excellent for what it is. In some ways, it's arguably better than DHC and CAHSC, depending what you're looking for. As a daily summer scent, it's fantastic and easily at the level of quality of Dior and Chanel, which is absolutely insane considering you can buy 4 oz of this stuff for $10 plus shipping. I assume that also means they're fully discontinuing it, because that's how the world works. If you already know you like DHC or CAHSC, or just want a good summer citrus, I would say this is blind buy worthy considering the blowout pricing. Epilogue: rumor has it this is identical to Zara's other offerings, From Paris to New York and Vibrant Leather Cologne. (Vibrant Leather Cologne is still available for $29.90.) I haven't tried those and cannot confirm. There are apparently also similarities to an older Zara fragrance, Blue Hole. Again, I can't confirm. But I'm impressed enough with the quality here that I'll be curious to explore other Zara scents.

So this is a very quick review having tested out and compared Zara Vibrant Leather Summer (VLS) and Dior Homme Cologne (DHC), Jimmy Choo Man Ice (JCMI) and MBZ cologne side by side from decants I own. I can confirm the similarities are between them are CRAZY. Personally I feel DHC is probably slightly nice just for the fact it holds the sweet iced lemonade vibe in the opening for a bit longer compared to its clones. However, I feel that this scent VLS is definitely the closest thing to it in the opening with that lovely iced lemonade vibe with an addition of a nice sharp invigorating ginger for but settles into the musk a bit quicker after about 30 mins. The dry down of this scent is definitely more musky compared to DHC but it also lasts a lot longer on me last for 5-6 hours compared to 3-4hrs of DHC. Overall its about 90% similar to me nose and lasts longer so win I guess. I also think the inexpensive nature of it makes it great for layering with other citrus based fragrances currently love wearing this with L'homme Ideal Cologne. (Solid 9.5/10) I personally think it's the best clone available right now and when you consider the price ITS A NO BRAINER GRAB IT . You get something almost identical for almost a 1/10th the cost of DHC. MBZ is on par but hard to find I believe. Don't get JCMI its bit urm ... well underwhelming compared to the rest. DHC - 9/10 VLS - 8.75/10 (if the opening lasted longer it would be 9/10 but I just respray at random intervals to relive that blast) MBZ - 8.5/10 JCMI - 7.5/10

I love this fragrance, I am so glad I got it. $10 in that Zara summer sale, this smells just like Dior Homme Cologne. At first I didn't really think so but I smelled them side by side and yeah, it's the same thing. Very simple fragrance but I spray it on almost every day. Something draws me to it and I have 50+ other choices lol. But the smell on this is so fresh, clean, and pleasing. The ginger really mixes nicely with the cedar, and the bergamot is really amazing in the opening. It smells like lemon and orange and lime together. It's beautiful. Zara isn't known for longevity but I can smell this on my skin 4-6 hours later. It projects about 30min-1hr but I am still smelling it on my skin, noticably, for a lot longer than I expected. Some people say it lasts very short on them. Vibrant Leather, the original, lasts about 20 min on me. But this one has quite good performance. Regardless, it is a simple and fresh, citrusy fragrance that I reach for consistently. Hopefully it pops up again next summer because I would love to get more of it.

08/05/20 I bought this back in May. I wasn’t to impressed with it but My wife loves it on me. This is one of her favorites that I own. I don’t wear VLS to often, but man I wore it today And this is a gem. I sprayed this on at around 6 AM. Just 1 spray on each shoulder. I work in the OR, and every time I took my North mask off I would get the best whiff of VLS. Smelled AMAZING! It’s smells like fresh citrus with just a little bit of ginger to make it a little sweet and cedar to give it the masculinity. Now I got home at 4pm and I still smell this on my scrubs! Mind you I constantly put on surgical gowns throughout the day, and it was still on my scrubs! Literally just 1 spray on each shoulder. I blind bought this and I’m happy I did. This is a great fragrance for the price. Scent 8.5/10 Longevity: 8.5/10

WOW!! My favorite Zara ever and one of my favorites for this summer! This reminds me of the Dior Homme Cologne, one of my favorite summer fragrances ever! It's only about the sparkling, fresh and uplifting citruses, i don't get a lot of more in the background, maybe some musc like clean clothes. The smell is easy to like, it doesn't develop at all, it's just citruses but the crazy thing is that these citruses last! I get about 7 hours longevity and good projection for the first 2 hours. It's a summer fragrance, for day casual wear and perfect for the really warm weather! Overall this is AMAZING! The most amazing part of all is the price 12,90euros for the 120ml!! It puts into shame a lot of summer fragrances that cost 4-5 times more!

Update for my previous post from few days ago because i got two VL Summer bottles few days ago. Yes, overall Cologne/Summer are very similar with one very noticeable difference: Cologne is definitely more gingery, while Summer is more citrusy. In Cologne, Ginger is very dominant and it's there from the start till the end while in the Summer one, citruses are more dominant and ginger is more in the background. Because of this reason i do prefer Summer a little bit more but they are both GREAT Summer fragrances, and especially for the price! Performance is very good too! And just as i thought, the two Summer bottles i got from the recent sale are both 120ml, they were both packed very well and sealed.

Just ordered two of these few days ago, during the Winter Sale! Apparently they are 120ml bottles too and i paid around 25$ for BOTH! I do have Vibrant Leather Cologne that i absolutely love and apparently this is pretty much the same or very, very similar? I heard that this was discontinued so i was so surprised to see them on the site and i am VERY happy that i was able to snatch two bottles for such a low price! Will update this or post first impressions when they arrive.

Wow smells so good so fresh & clean, that burst of manderin *which is not listed above* but is there is beautiful then the ginger comes in if you can find this buy two bottles i found my bottle for $20 must find more lasted 6 hours on skin that's with a workout and shower still smell good performance.. also for the price this smells like a $60 - 80 cologne it does not smell cheap at all amazing must have

This is my second bottle, its a LOVE from me! Perfect in high heat, so refreshing too.For me it starts of like fizzy Leomade then a touch of Ginger kicks in, light but just right, it settles in the base with a mellow comforting Cedar, very warm and inviting. Projects around arms length and last around 6 hour on my skin, goes all day on clothes. Its beautiful, MANY Women have said how nice I smell.

Started with DHS 2008. Discontinued. Hated DHS 2012. Went to DHC, not as nice as DHS 2008 but I liked it, went through the bottle fast, didn't want to rebuy based on performance/price ratio. Found Mercedes Benz Cologne. Great! DHC for a third of the price. Discontinued. Now here I am at this Zara. For $25 for 120ml... This will do. I still like the DHS 2008 the best, but hey.

Great performance, better longevity than other more dense, winter Zara EDPs. Great projection for 2-3 hours, no joke. Must have. Edit: I'm getting back up bottles of this. Zesty, citruses and cedarwood. Compliment magnet. Compared to DHC side by side - it is better performing. It was projecting of my t-shirt for 2 days, I got a whiff of it every time I passed by.

If you're looking to buy this fragrance, Zara changed the bottle (since something called "summer" probably wouldn't sell at any other time that isn't summer) and it is now called "Vibrant Leather Cologne". Same juice as VL Summer but marketed differently. Buy it from THEIR website and NOT from eBay/Amazon resellers, you'll end up saving $$

I can confirm this smells like a freshly opened can of Sprite and oh my thats a good smell to have in the summertime! Plus longevity is above average for Zara fragrances. This is a blind buy im not dissapointed with. Its a cheap fragrance to begin with but i got mine online at a discount so i paid less than the price of a happy meal.

This fragrance is really nice! Super photorealistic lemony-citrus accord. Pretty linear, really just smells like lemon with a bit of wood. I may be an outlier in saying this, but this fragrance lasts me a solid 8 hours, with the first 1.5-2 hours giving me a good amount of projection. AMAZING for high heat!

Exact copy of Dior Homme Cologne. At least to my nose. Near impossible to tell the difference, though I am sure there is some difference. (edit: sharper then DHC) If you are into juicy sweet citrus, you owe yourself a bottle. **This is the same juice as Vibrant Leather Cologne, different cap and name.

A really fresh citrus bomb that doesn't smell cheap. With 5/7 sprays it stays a good 6/8h, with 2 hours good projection and another 2/3 hours of getting whiffs and then skin scent. Very good performance for a light summer scent, leaves a nice trail and gets compliments.

I love this scent! I bought it at the Zara summer sale for only 15 dollars and it smells like Dior Homme Cologne. Fresh, clean and pleasant with a nice mix of ginger, cedar, bergamot, lemon, orange and lime. Every time I spray it, my gentlemanliness is multiplied :)

Ok people. I paid 10$ for 120 ml of VSL. It was on sale :) Why even bother comparing it to DHC? Freaking 10 bucks! Its a lovely fragrance for what it is. A simple summer freshie. If you like freshies and can get this really cheap just go for it!

This is a fresh blast of citrus with ginger and cedar. Totally unisex. It's almost identical to Dior Homme Cologne but DHC has a bit of musk in the drydown. I also have vibrant leather cologne which smells the same as VLS. Love it!

Mandarin and ginger dominates from the first minute to the end of the dry down ,7-8 sprays and I’m good for 6-7 hours . Got it on discount 13€ per 120ml , it is a bargain and a half .

This is an amazing blend of citrus and ginger. One of the best I’ve smelled at the price point. If you’re into citrus and ginger, do not hesitate cause this is gorgeous

So I own Zara Blue Hole and love it. Saw that Zara Vibrant Leather Summer was released and figured why not when it was $19 and change for a 125ml. Vibrant Leather Cologne is still available on US Zara, but Zara does release fragrances in summer packaging like Hi Lo Country Summer, Silver Summer and Seoul Summer. I have to say i am conflicted on Vibrant Leather Summer in a way I am not for Blue Hole. These fragrances smell fairly similar. I can say that Vibrant Leather Summer is a bergamot rather than lemon in Blue Hole. It is a very noticable difference as it seems spicy. Blue Hole is a very lemonade-y fragrance while if Vibrant Leather Summer is, it is a bitter lemonade. The mid is gingery. I know I said Blue Hole had it but in Vibrant Leather Summer, it is at a whole new level. There is some cedar in the base but it isn't as potent as the previous notes in the top and mid. I have seen some comparisons to Aventus Cologne. While I have not tried Aventus Cologne myself, I have tried Alexandria Fragrances' dupe Brasilia Cologne. What I can say is there is a some similarities between this (Vibrant Leather Summer) and Brasilia Cologne. That said, Vibrant Leather Summer is stripped down as oppose to Brasilia Cologne and still has Dior Homme Cologne qualities to it. Performance is pretty good on Vibrant Leather Summer. It is an EDP and it performs about as good as I remembered Blue Hole doing when I first got it and my nose got use to it. It lasts 6/7 hours and projects reasonably strong. I don't think you can get called to HR with this one but it won't die all that fast. Use isn't just for summer. I can see this spring through fall. There spice in the open and mid will make it work in fall and so does performance. Use wise it is a casual and work scent since it is a cologne style fragrance. I think Zara Vibrant Leather Summer is not a home run but a solid double, maybe error triple. I don't love it but I do like it. I rate Vibrant Leather Summer a 7.3 out of 10 mainly due to the open. The bergamot is a little too spicy for my liking. I wish they would bring back Blue Hole in an EDP...

Batch Code: 0090 Production Date 2020-01-09 ZARA-Vibrant Leather Summer is often compared to DIOR-Homme Cologne and while it is indeed close to DHC the citrus in DHC comes across as Lemonade while ZVLS is more of a straight up Bergamot. To me a closer comparison would be CHANEL-Allure Homme Sport Cologne. All three fragrances can be thought of as extremely closely related cousins and as such the Zara is incredible value for the money even coming with a magnetic cap. I don’t really detect much ginger in this other than adding a bit of zing or sharpness to the Bergamot. As is common with this style of summer scent, the performance suffers but I find if you spray heavy on clothing longevity and projection will last at least 4 hours. This is the perfect scent for those hot summer days that need something light. The words that come to mind for this fragrance are: refreshing juicy, citrus. If Zara ever brings this one back I’ll be getting another bottle, highly recommended by me. What’s with the Zara naming conventions? Most Zara Vibrant Leather scents are Adventus dupes with leather not really being detected and then this which is Dior or Chanel dupe; again with no leather accord. Very odd indeed.

A pretty good clone of Dior Homme Cologne. Considering the price of this (£19.99 full price, I got it for £9.99 on sale) it's great. The opening is very similar to DHC, they've done a very good job of that. All of the notes aren't listed on this page, the box of the fragrance has a few others such as mandarin in the top and neroli in the mid. It is missing that musk base from DHC though, which means the dry down isn't exactly the same. It's not far off though, again for the price, it's a very good attempt at copying a great fragrance. The one negative I will say is that up close in the dry down I get a bit of a deodorant vibe from it, so avoid putting your nose right on your arm to smell it. The longevity and projection is actually better than DHC... But obviously if you want the scent to be exactly like DHC then buying DHC is the way to go. If you want something very close for a much smaller price, you can't go far wrong with this.

Just a heads up if Zara ever brings it back...had this one for about a year now - love it - still 75% full. One day this spring it got over 27 degrees celsius in the room I kept it in (in a closed closet) and it started to leak QUICK from under the collar. Shelf was wet and everything. Cooled it down, and it still leaks a tiny bit, but from then on part of the fragrance went off. The bergamot is now more like a flat alcoholic lemon and there's a hint of chlorine or something in the background. :S All that addictive sparkle I loved is gone. Thought it was my skin at first but after 30+ sprays, I'm certain. It's changed. Have a weird feeling that the heat and super strong magnetic cap literally pulled the seal from the bottle, but who knows. So be careful. If you every pick it up, keep it cool.

Zara Vibrant Leather Summer is a 2020 release that’s more or less a clone of Dior Homme Cologne and does a pretty good job in that effort. It’s not very much like the original Vibrant Leather (or a number of its flankers) is based Creed Aventus. It’s a fresh, citrus, bergamusk-type cologne with vague hints of dirty neroli, plenty bright but with a bit of a wild side. Not a huge performer: DHC certainly performs a bit better while not being outstanding itself. It looks like it’s no longer available but luckily, Dior Homme Cologne itself is still available, even though Vibrant Leather Summer was cheaper, probably $30 or so, if memory serves correct. I imagine there are other clones out there too, but if you come across this one, it’s pleasantly passable albeit a bit fleeting. 6 out of 10

After wearing VLS for couple of weeks, I vote it from "like" to "dislike". This is not a copy of DHC to me at all. VLS is a freshie with subtle citrusy note which is plain and synthetic comparing with DHC. It is lack of sparkling characters like DHC has. The woody citrus is very soft on my skin, almost like soapy after shower smell. Somehow I detect slight trace of VL edp which is the only part I like about VLS. It performs not so good on my skin, only minimum projection in first couple of minutes then nobody around me can smell it after 30 min, 3 or 4 hours longevity. It does last longer on clothes though. Over all, I don't think it's worth buying if you are expecting a copy of DHC. It is a boring skin scent with no character. I just dont see any similarity between DHC and VLS at all.

Vibrant Leather cologne rebottled? Looks like that, but this thing seems to me like a slightly different and more polished version of Vibrant Leather Cologne. I bought it as soon as I saw it on Zara's website and read the notes. This to me is closer to Zara's Blue Hole. A bit fresher than VL cologne (imagine that), and if memory doesn't fail me, I find VL Summer's opening to be better than that of VL Cologne's, which I found quite synthetic, punchy and off-putting when I tried it, so much that I did not even buy it. But yeah, minor differences that do not really make much of a difference overall. If you liked VL cologne, you'll probably like this. Design-wise: magnetic cap, green juice, green cap and appealing design. 8.5/10.

Yeah, it obviously has that DHC 2013 vibe, but there's almost no sweetness here. It's straight up lemon juice with a good dose of ginger in the mid. Don't know why ambrox isn't listed in the base because it's definitely there. Dirt cheap on clearance too so I stocked up. Wouldn't pay full price. Overspray this one like ka-RAY-zee without feeling guilty because performance is fairly weak. Sucks that it doesn't layer well either. More on the tart side and none of that beautiful Dior musk. Still, it lifts my spirits when I smell the cap. Stuff is like citrus CRACK to me. Gotta have it gotta have it gotta have it gotta have it gotta have it gotta have it (ಠ_ಥ)

@MrHonest - same thing happened to my Vibrant Leather Oud. So I guess it's just these bottles, I'd be careful with all of them. Mind you, my VL, VL Eclat de Bergamote and VL Summer ones have been fine @puffinsauce - Vibrant Leather Cologne actually came first. They released that a year or two before VL Summer, then changed to VL Summer and then apparently change back to VL Cologne again haha, can't keep up with them. Hopefully it'll get another release next year as one or the other (along with VL Eclat de Bergamote, which is the best one in my opinion but no longer appears on their site)

If you do Jeremy Fragrance 5 sprays with this one, good luck. 12-15 sprays gives you a decent 5-6 hours, of which the first hour and a half would have a nice scent bubble. Similar to Dior Homme Cologne, Mercedes Benz Cologne.... Not just in smell but also in longevity and projection. Don’t expect miracles with it. Just enjoy and spray heavy in the beginning, and re-apply if you need yo later on.

Bergamot dominates throughout, starting with a fizzy blast and mellowing with the emergence of tightly fused ginger and cedar. Softer cedar than other Zara frags with cedar base note which can be on the harsh side. The whole thing exceeds the sum of its parts mysteriously. Refreshing if ephemeral.

Good refreshing fragrance. Above avarage performance for summer, citrus scent.

I can douse myself on this all day. The opening is lovely mandarin. Mandarin is much more prominent than bergamot / lemon to my nose, which is surprising since it's supposed to be DHC clone. But I do like it a lot. Some folks said it reminds him of Aventus Cologne but I never tried it so I can't comment much on that. To me, the orange here made me think of Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine. Though spray it side - by - side they are not similar but the vibe is there. Not sure it's a good projection since nobody had commented on me about that even I do 6 sprays (I'm an undersprayer). But for longevity the skin scent still (barely) exists 7+ hours in. Doesn't sounds too good but when compared to DHC it's entirely gone by 4-5 hours on me. edit 1: Clarity edit 2: After a number of wearings I always become nose blind when spray this on my arm. Not quite sure why.

So maybe my nose is a bit weird, but no... this is not as close to Dior Homme Cologne as people make it out to be. I was very excited to get this as an inexpensive alternative to DHC after so many people confidently saying it's closely comparable, but unfortunately the differences are very clear. As the box for Vibrant Leather Summer describes, it's very much mandarin orange up front, not the lemon from DHC. The distinction between the two are noticeable. Also, instead of the musky drydown of DHC, Vibrant Leather Summer has a bit of ambroxan and woods at the base, but those notes unfortunately don't extend the longevity of the fragrance (2-3 hours total). On its own VLS is fine, but if you want DHC, get DHC.

I bought 3 bottles of VL Summer, and the opening performance is terrible. After 30 minutes, it is already reduced to a skin scent. Although the performance of Dior, Benz, and Jimmy Choo is still poor, they at least last for 2 hours. Even though the price is low for Zara, you end up constantly reapplying, and it is cumbersome. The longevity is worse than Mugler Cologne, and Zara claims to be an EDP concentration. The only good thing is the burst of citrus opening, and it is such a shame it is gone within 15 minutes. Then the ginger takes over and ruins it. Don't worry because it will become a skin scent quickly. Spend more money and get any of the alternatives.

As with all Zaras this one is no exception, poor longevity and projection. Lasts about an hour. Smell is ok, bunch of sweet citruses, but i wouldnt buy it as a substitute for Dior Homme Cologne. This is not even close. Swells really cheap and synthetic. I dont really reach for it. Bottle is from 2020 Overall rating 5/10

Ginger and Mandarin from the start to finish. Wouldn't wear it but not bad as a room freshener.

I owned Dior Homme Cologne in 2015 and finished my 75ml in 2016. I never bought it again due to price vs longevity/projection. I was and am very fond of DHC so I often thought of grabbing another bottle couldn't ever bring myself to it. So id recently seen some reviews on YouTube on this fragrance and the similarities. For 12.99 for a 120ml bottle it was worth a shot. Im quite impressed. Theres an underlying powderiness to DHC which this actually captures. It say the opening of VLS is fruitier than DHC slightly. On close inspection I can smell a difference but in the air it smells pretty much spot on. No nasty, cheap, scratchy vibes. Its DHC for 12.99. Also, the bottle is heavy thick glass with a magnetic cap. Its definitely worth it. Wonderful summer day time freshie. I get about 90 minutes projection and can smell it up close for around 5 hours tops. I get a grapefruit/orange combo on the opening which smells great. Seems to present throughout but does receed. If you love DHC, give it a shot.

ITS ALL ABOUT GINGER!!!! It’s funny how people want to save money! It’s been said that this fragrance resembles Dior Homme Cologne, but it’s a lie. Vibrant Leather Summer or Cologne because they’re the same it’s all about GINGER! There’s nothing else there! Just ginger, gingery smell, synthetic ginger smell! It’s like when you’re cooking asian food, or making a ginger tea with the real root! ITS AWFUL!!!! Although DHC could be seen as a simple construction of notes, it’s so well done that became a masterpiece! Maybe Zara wanted to make a dupe or a clone, but honestly they’re didn’t do it, they didn’t even get close to it! If you’re just wanting something for hot days and you’re really into ginger, gingery smell, like cutting a piece of ginger and smell it makes you go nuts, then go for it , but if the thing is trying to save money for buying this fragrance instead of DCH, forget it! You’re going to waste it! Just save some then buy the original!
