Water My Emotions

This was my very first fragrance purchase. Fresh citrus opening that fade quickly in minutes. Middle notes are okay, but not my favorite. Longevity is very weak around 2-4 hours on me then it's basically gone. The scent reminds me of fresh body spray, which isn't a bad thing. Scent 4/5 Performance 2/5 Overall 6/10

The concept behind this collection is simple, the 4 basic elements associated with ancient Greek philosophy. However, personally I find it not so easy to comprehend the composition of each bottle. Water My Emotions comes in an aquatic blue bottle, which represents the element "water". When I think about this element, I expect a clean, fresh and aquatic perfume, but it turns out to be quite different. The opening is indeed aquatic, but not really the fresh clean type, with a hint of citrus. To my nose, it smells synthetic and on the edge of cleaning products. Shortly afterwards I get some spicy notes. Interestingly, on my skin it smells spicy and dry, something like nutmeg, while on paper it is fresher and more like ginger. At this stage I find it quite generic, nothing impressive or interesting. As it develops on my skin, it gets sweeter, and in the meantime the woody notes come up. It is an interesting combination, as the woody notes tones down the sweetness. I think I also get something smoky here in the background. The moss here definitely brings the "cooling" effect. It is slightly damp and earthy, so it "cools" down the sweet warm amber and adds some freshness. The drydown indeed changes my opinion about this perfume.

90's called, they want their bog standard average guy cologne back. A more appropriated name would have been Watered Down Emotions.
