Wonder Rose Obsession

Aptly named fragrance because I am OBSESSED. This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not going to try to claim it's identical to Delina, obviously it's not, but as soon as I sprayed it my Delina itch was scratched. They are very similar, obviously not the same quality as the real thing but how could one expect that? It does NOT, however, smell cheap - it's beautiful. Sweet vanilla rose with that fruity tang that Delina has (litchi presumably). And unlike Delina which, even if I owned it I know I would very rarely wear it because of the cost, I can spray this with reckless abandon. MAJOR LOVE. I'm off to buy back-up bottles.

Tried it out in store cause it was new, didn't expect I would like it, since I don't like original Wonder Rose, but I was amazed, amazed on first notes and even more amazed on drie down. Came back and bought it. This perfume has layers has depth and performance is very good (last for hours on my skin, days on my clothes). It is elegant, delicate, delicious.... Vanilla pudding with melted milk chocolate and rose syrup.... If you are loving sweet vanilla, chocolate scents with touch of florals you will like this one too. Definitely recommending 💕👍🏻

I got this yesterday and wore it today. I sprayed it 7 times and it lasted all day. During work it suddenly hit me it had an oud-vibe! This is such a lovely and light version of Oud Bouquet from Maison Lancome! Ofc you would only need one spray of oud bouquet, where you can easily overspray wonder rose obsession. Such and easy wear - I’m definately obssesed, and will be wearing all fall. 🍁 Very intriqued to find out how and if it’ll develop once more macerated.

This is just back in stock at the discounted price of 6,99€, as are the other two from the Wonder Rose Capsule Collection, Sublime and So Intense. I am leaving detailed reviews for all of them because I think they are worth of being snatched at this price. They are everyday version of romantic, doll like perfumes! Layered between each others the effect is delicate and ethereal! The mix is often green, cute and rosy and you can overspray without guilt! Wonder Rose Obsession is a coquettish rose, much bright and watery from the fruits; the litchy is full of juice and sweetness, it isn't detergent like at all but actually sweet and watery, blended with blackberry it smells a bit like watermelon... probably it is even a little bubblegummy. It is a different litchi then, let's say, Delina where it smells more tart and sour probably beacuse mixed with rhubarb. The blackberry makes the initial burst of rose much juveniles and much more feminine (if the latter is even possible to do to a rose!). At this stage we have a sugary rose. The brand description says the litchi+blackberry accord should result in a "liquor" and the cassis in a "cream", personally I think the litchi is watery/juicy and the blackberry syrupy and sweet, but I don't find their blend heavy or liquor like. Actually, what I like about this scent is that after the fruitiness a strong herbal and fresh dimension comes forward...it is the cassis with its gorgeous herbal and unruly soul! I feel like there is a lot of it in here...it doesn't smell of ammonia but is very very much green, fruity and kinda lemony too; as a result the rose matures a bit and becomes much more green and less juveniles (an aspect that it shares with Wonder Rose Sublime). Frutiness and greenness alternate and coexist, it depends if you are wearing the scent only on skin or on both skin and clothes. When we reach the middle the rose note evolves further, becoming much close to a makeupy rose, so much so that I was suspecting some violette like note would be in the mix; the tuberose that accompanies it is light, it smells green at first but little by little becomes more sensual and warm. When I say at this pointbit smells makeupy I don't mean powdery, but more like waxy. The base that acts as background for this chamelion rose is sweet and much vanillic, you can start to feel it in the mid fase already. The proper dry down is all strong vanilla plus a subtle rose with hints of blackberry. In this final stage the rose smells more like a candy. The type of vanilla used is much confectioners like but more akin to confetti then jam, as if there is a bit of tonka in the mix. Zara refers to it as "black vanilla". It is a warm and pulsating vanilla but a bit dry, maybe because a touch of vetiver is in the base too (going by the declared notes). Obsession is not a true jammy rose like, for instance, Zara Rose Gourmand, the vanilla in here smells more "desiccated", also I don't find Obsession particulary powdery. The amber is light and a bit caramelized, in this aspect I can see that a bit of dna and texture is shared between Wonder Rose Obsession and Sublime. The mood of the scent is much romantic and remainds me of both dolls and makeup! Not so much the classic plastic "doll head" effect but proper porcelain dolls, beautiful and dressed in finery! At the same time, that huge bit of cassis makes this perfect for someone that has that "dark/sinister doll" allure about them, kinda like a Popovy Sisters doll! It could create a beautiful contrast if styled with something reminiscent of The Vampire's Wife style, like those morbidly cute cat t-shirts (artist is Aleksandra Waliszewska, by the way) or those gorgeous dresses with puff sleeves, high collar and flowers, made of velvet and silk! What I can say about the quality is that it is not too much synthetic, to the point of being cheap or unwearable and that it lasts pretty well too for being part of Zara's cube line, probably because it is an edp; it lasts for four to five hours on me, with the dry down lingering until seven to eight. Projection is light but still present. It's one of the best from the Zara's base/cube line, togheter with Violette Blossom, Nuit, Hibiscus, Sublime, Femme Summer and Exotic Mimosa in terms of lasting power. It is more complex then one may expect judging from the price. Packaging is just lovely, soft matt mauve fading in to clear glass! It represents the scent well! I still prefer the Zara x Jo Malone roses over this one, I find them more clear and natural but, as an exception, I can say I find this more complex then Zara x Jo Malone Captivatingly Paris. The opening is alcoholic but if you give this a proper 5 minutes to set the result is surprisingly good. I also noticed that Obsession will results more green on clothes and much more sweet on skin. Personally, I find Sublime the best of the line but they are all enjoyable in my opinion. In terms of comparisons I can say that personally I don't think this smells like Delina from Parfums de Marly, nor I think it was intended to. The accords can be similar but the result is quite different, here there is a lot of cassis and much more vanilla, not even even the litchi and the base smell similar (no incense). The vanillic aspects make it more similar to Delina Exclusif, but again all the rest is kinda a miss. The litchi of the opening is similar to that of Zara Red Temptation Summer and, in turn, to that of Angel Nova from Mugler, but their similarity ends there. It shares nothing with Zara Fashionably London, and just a sweet undertone with Zara Captivatingly Paris. The watery aspects of Obsession are similar to that in Zara x Jo Malone Grapefruit Incense but there the rose is much citrusy and waxy. Obsession and the others from the Wonder Rose Capsule Collection share absolutely nothing with Zara Wonder Rose o.g. and Wonder Rose Summer which are cloying, very fruity, have too much chemical coconut, zero rose and are too juveniles for my taste, without a hint of contrast. They are not to be considered flankers of Wonder Rose since the strong coconut water base, the red fruits and the tutti frutti notes are totaly absent here.

Smells almost identical to Rose by bath and body works. This is probably the only Zara perfume blind buy I regret. All I get is rose from this one and nothing else. Theres no initial fruitiness it's just a "what you see is what you get" type of fragrance, very basic rose. It's not unpleasant, just pure rose. Edit: I gave this perfume another shot and it's definitely growing on me. Im starting to smell the fruitiness in the dry down but the perfume doesn't last long enough for me to really enjoy it. I think it would be a nice summer scent when the weather is really hot

Sweet, fruity, delicate floral perfume at a wonderful discounted price, almost too good to be true! Easily wearable daily, it smells like a garden of roses and fruity, perfect for spring and summer.

A weak skin scent. All i can smell is slightly rose and sweetness. So good for a comforting night fragrance nothing more. I love the black amber from Zara but this is forgettable and bit boring. I have a full bottle of this one. Only used once so if anyone in Europe likes it i'm glad to sell it to you. Mail me.

This is barely Delina adjacent, if that is your reason for buying. Run of the mill light fruity floral.

So this gives the same vibes as valentino donna born in roma but the fresher version, hear me out. So in donna born in roma there is this waxy fruity smell and this has that as well except with a young fresh rose but they have a similar opening. This is definitely less sweet than born in roma and doesn't have vanilla bourbon but rather vanilla and vetiver which gives this smooth silky vanilla base. I love this perfume and really enjoy it a lot. Very crowd pleasing and is longer lasting than their average perfumes in this packaging because this is available in a edp. Now that I think about it this gives lancome idole vibes but the opening and fruity feel from donna born in roma. Less sweet than donna born in roma but more sweet than lancome idole. Mix those 2 and you have zara wonder rose obsession :) A sugary young fresh rose

This is very similar to the opening of Angel Nova: bright, acidic, fluffy and sweet as well as opulent. Unfortunately it does not develop as Angel Nova does into a creamy and jam-like texture smell but for what you are paying, it's worth buying if you just want to test out the scent profile (Angel Nova might just be too expensive to experiment with). It does also last quite well for a fresh perfume.

Dare i say , this is what i wished Delina to be ! This falls in same territory delina tried to mark, Delicate pink rose dusted in ethereal powder .. The rose in delina is bright pink and close to wither with suffocating powderiness , while in rose obsession , its soft babypink petals that just bloomed with feather like powder. Hatts off to zara for this quality perfume at such good price

Sweet rose fragrance with low to moderate longevity and low to moderate silage. People are comparing this to Delina/Fashionably London type of DNA since it goes there in the notes of the heart and base. It's gorgeous and light.

Reminds me of Narcisso rouge or petal please from juicy couture , but without the sweetness .

Anyone knows exact dupe of this, i really love this smell but they dont sell it anymore:/
