Y Collection

They had Zara Y Collection for sale at the cashiers, as it seems they're getting rid of the stock. I gave it a try while I was paying my order, hoping that if I liked it enough, I'd add it. The opening didn't impressed me at all, so I finished my order, and moved on. Then I checked the scent on my wrist again while driving on my way back home and... oh my God. It smells AMAZING. The dry down is so much better than the opening. The only con I found is that it doesn't seem to last much (5 hours or so) I really hope they still have it on stock next time I go to that store. If you're lucky enough to find a bottle of Y collection, just grab it. It costs less than 10 bucks and smells like 100. Cheers!

I gave this another try. And the third try. And nope. Don't like it. I loooove the opening, spot on La Nuit but after a short while it does retain that vibe with a bitter note which I simply don't like. Not even for the price. Lasts poorly, maybe an hour longer then the current version of La Nuit but it misses that magic La Nuit had for me. Same thing with other frags from DAY collection. I went with For him Black Edition and the new version of Black Tag Intense. They smell of vanilla and cardamom and much better that Y. Both last longer. I really really wanted to get Y, and was set on getting 3-4 bottles. Held them and I said... nah. So I went with black tag intense and for him black edition.

Having 2 bottles of La Nuit (2015 formulation) and 2 bottles of Ferragamo F Black, I decided to buy only 1 bottle of Zara Y today at the mall. I do regret it now because the Y juice is BETTER than the current La Nuit formulation. ..... Well I just bought on line a couple bottles morejust now in the Zara site . I don't know prices in other countries but I bought them for € 9.99 each 100 ml bottle. Currently I have 2 bottles of F Black and 3 bottles of Zara Y that I'll save for special occasions. I will use the YSL La Nuit in common occasions. 2 years ago I would not imagine I would write this text today. @ SimplyRavishing1 - Congratulations for your great review

Opening is a spot on La Nuit de L'Homme. But as it+s drying down, it brings in one note which is very bitter. This frag in the opening smells like 95% la nuit but as it dries down, it differs. There is still that la nuit smell, just with a very prominent bitter note which I don't like. Tried it on skin and the same. Wanted to get few bottles but I changed my mind. It is very very close but it lack that smoothness La Nuit has although the smell itself is very very similar. Not bad but for me... I will search a bit more.If it only didn't have that bitter note in the middle and dry down, it would have been a perfect replacement.

After a few times wearing it I think that this fragrance is as close to La nuit as 9.0 to DH! The performances are not bad either, 6-8h with moderate projection. Zara have a few other fragrances with the "La Nuit vibe" like For Him Black Edition, Winter Collection 2017, Black Tag Intense 2017, some people say Evitorial Twist(I personally don't agree here) but Y Collection is a shameless clone, despite the notes, just ignore that. Awesome value! Best alternative on the market, ~95% of the smell, ~12% of the price.

This one is at least 85% similar to La Nuit de l'homme. The difference is the quality of "powdery-ness" as they dry down. Y is more powdery and sweeter than l'homme. I find that Y settles down into a skin scent after 2 to 3 hours, and after that the powdery-ness pokes out every now and then and it stays around for 3 hours or more. I actually quite like it. I have two bottles of this and will be wearing them when I don't want to break out the good stuff: my 2010 and 2013 YSL. These should last couple of winters.

This clone is da sh*t! Very very similar to La Nuit. I have a bottle of La Nuit from 2010 and the smell of Y Collection is very reminiscent of the original. The former is richer and has better longevity and sillage. I do not know about reformulated batches of La Nuit since I haven't tried them yet. But if they are so bad like people make them to be, then I will stick to this clone. It is that good! Longevity and sillage could be better though.

This to me smells more like what LNDL smells like in my memories than LNDL itself. You can see the difference when you compared it left and right. I'd say it is close to 95% with Y opening is more citrusy and idk somehow make me a little nauseatic but those drydown almost identical, so go grab this if you can find one and forget those water called LNDL that too overpriced for it's performance. My man, this scent is so magical.

Bought this for 10$; it's a steal at this point . Smells better to me than La Nuit. Awesome stuff It's softer, more aromatic than La Nuit , less rough/dusty. Cloves are really the main accord for this fragrance, along with the rose, lavender and patchouli. You really do smell them. Best buy, right here. I bet the shelves will go empty as soon as the Youtube hype train will start, haha :D

Smell similar to famous LNDL but not substitute. I don't like the opening, after few minutes from dislike change to like. It last on my clothes. one of my favorite for night out. It cheap, but discontinued. I got last bottle travel size for $7. Rating: 7/10 Update one year later: Drydown smells amazing 8/10, even though opening to mid-phase bothers me a lot.

Very Similar (90%) to La Nuit. Gets more similar in the drydown (95%). I get about 7 hours with this. I would say it has moderate projection. I picked this up for 7 euro in the sales. It's discontinued now but I'm certain it will make a comeback in one form or another in the future. 9/10 even at full price!

Found a seller from eBay with three new bottles in stock at a decent price and took them all. Need to go heavy on the sprayer to get at least 6 hours of longevity and 3 hours of performance. Doesn't really mind since it's really cheap. Mass pleaser and about 90% similar to LNDLH. No complaints here.

A very decent clone of La Nuit, the best one from Zara IMO. About the same performance and quallity as the current formulation of the YSL. For 10 Euro you can't ask for more.

The whole D-A-Y Collection......Not to be found on the dutch Zara webshop and retail shops anymore. Sold out or discontinued?

I would say smell and performance per dollar for Zara Y is higher that YSL La Nuit current formulation.

Batch: 72791 / 2017-10-06 The first 10 minutes don't smell good at all, but then its charm emerges, as it smells very similar to La Nuit De l'Homme, I'd say about 80%; after 7 and a half years, my bottle still smells good. The fragrance doesn't project much, but it lasts 5 to 6 hours, not bad at all. I agree with previous comments that this is more powdery and sweeter than LNDL. Rate: 7.5/10

It’s back in my store in Stockholm, but only in travel size 20ml, so I got 4 of it for €5 each. This one for me is just as satisfying as current LA Nuit de L’homme, so I just go with this one instead of another bottle of YsL. It actually is a damn close clone to my nose! One of Zara’s best ones for sure.

In short, amazing scent but it reduces to a skin scent after about an hour. I might (i.e. really hope) get better performance in the warmer months. Spraying after applying some non-scented lotion helps a bit though

i can see why people say that this is the la nuit clone, iwould say 90% similar the lndlh is smoothe though. the opening sucks lol, the dry down is acceptable and there you can smell the similarity to lndlh

at the sake of sounding redundant....smells a lot like La Nuit de Homme...very well priced...good performance (or at least no worse then La Nuit). All around a good buy.

literally the same as la nuit except lacking cardamom smoky note. Best Zara fragrance next to tobacco rich warm addictive.

doesn't have the rich creaminess of lndlh, i would rate it a 7.5/10.

just ordered this after reading reviews as i cannot afford YSL (vintage bottles) hopefully will keep me happy . Will update once it comes into my hands !thanks guys for the reviews Edit : got the bottle finally and its same as 2017 ysl batch . So saved some bucks here , lasting is not great but its ok for 20usd

I have no idea how people find any similarity between La nuit and Y. Y collection smells cheap, smells synthetic, smell like 10$. I feel so sorry for wasting 10 bucks on this trash.

the worst fragrance i own .. 0/10 longevity .. i sprayed 20 times and i could barely smell it after 1 minute. Gave it to my driver !

Zara Y's Breakdown TOP NOTES: Are about 70% similar to Vintage La Nuit unfortunately that Classic Cardamom has been replaced with the spice of Clove in Y, However this is NOT as terrible as one might think & Zara did a Great Job. MIDDLE NOTES: Zara Y Subsequently shifts & becomes similar to YSL's Frozen Cologne in terms of how the Rose note in Zara Y mimics the Geranium in YSL Frozen Cologne & is much more Aromatic. BASE NOTES: The Dry down is where the magic happens and Y is surprisingly similar to Vintage La Nuit de l'Homme w/ an aromatic twist & IMO IT SMELLS GREAT!!! Having owned several original and reformulated versions of ysl la nuit de l'homme, in addition to some glowing fragrance community reviews, I was very intrigued to try this. As it was only £9.99, I decided to buy 2 bottles, and upon first smelling, I was shocked at how similar this was to YSL LNDLH. Having run out of YSL, this is now my signature cuddle and close encounter fragrance, and I have had a few compliments already, I just wish I had bought a few more bottles as it has been discontinued! I will admit that the original YSL was slightly better than this regarding longevity and siliage, but the Zara is miles better compared to the reformulated YSL. Overall I would give this a 7.5/10

I was pleasantly surprised how similar this is to YSL LA NUIT. LA NUIT is my favourite of all time, this was one of my first frags ever. I loved and adored it ever since it was released 2009/10. Zara is close to la NUIT in terms of the scent but sits a bit flatter and less vibrant,less spicy and less smooth. This is a bit more powdery compared to la nuit. (I have the juice from 2010 la nuit) Performance is ok with Zara. I'm just glad to have this so I can have the la nuit smell anytime I want without using the last 30/40 mls of my good old la nuit.

I purchased this based on its comparison to La Nuit and it is most definitely a dead ringer for it! It starts off strong and projects with the patchouli and lavender. This smell does not give in for quite awhile and it projected for about 2 hours on my skin! It dries down to the base notes and the musk keeps it going. The lavender and patchouli seems to remain for quite awhile. Overall, the scent lasts about 8 hours on my skin. Not a bad blind buy and a good 6th man for La Nuit. An 8/10 for me! Cheers

Was initially hesitant to buy this as I have owned & hated vintage LNDL due to the cardamom note which would just remind me of middle eastern kitchens. Saw this stuff on sale (£8/$11) so pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did. Beautiful scent, very much alike to the YSL without the (for me) offensive note. Unfortunately I believe this will be, Or already is discontinued - hence the discounted price. Have bought a few bottles to keep on ice just incase!

I bought this perfume . I only have one word: shame. It is a shame that yves Saint Laurent puts a scent on the market at about € 60 when Zara produces it at just € 10. Zara Y is truly identical to the LNDLH current formula. La nuit de l'homme has no more cardamom, it's only a banal and common scent, very easy to imitate by now. The original formula was a good perfume, now absolutely not. Ysl is deceiving us all. Seeing is believing.

very similar to YSL La nuit de l'homme atleast 80%, the price is also cheap. its a very great alternative. Average performance around 4-5 hrs on me, good projection for 1-2 hrs and a dry down on skin. Overall its a great bargain, if you have limited budget. This Zara bottle will sure gather you compliments and i believe everyone will say are you wearing YSL LNDL?. (Unless they are really fragrance lover lol)

Has come back to zara stores as a new perfume called "Strolling over Heaven" (not in the database yet). I believe its exactly the same juice. 9,99Eur.

Like the user bellow says Zara is selling this again but with the name Strolling over Heaven" i dont like too much i get a waxy smell

Awesome fragrance for a great price. Longevity and projection are good and the scent is fantastic! Get it while you can!
