Zara Femme 2018

This is femininity in a bottle. It’s an every occasion scent so definitely signature scent worthy in my opinion because it can be worn to a fancy occasion, yet turn around and be worn to school or work. It’s not a very loud complex fragrance and I wouldn’t even say it’s unique BUT that’s what makes it signature scent worthy. It’s timeless, classic, dainty, elegant, delicate and includes notes that don’t offend. The peony is so soft and pretty and smells like the epitome of a WOMAN. Then that vanilla and tonka bean and sandalwood come around to give a little smidge of sex appeal and gourmand delicacy. This is so pretty to me and one of my new faves. Wish it was an Eau de Parfum and not just a toilette. It does need to be touched up about every 3 hours which sucks BUT the scent to me makes up for it. I mentioned this as being first date worthy on my YouTube channel which is “Jasmine Bullard” btw if you’re interested. I don’t see how anyone’s date would consider this a bad fragrance. It’ll just make you smell soft and pretty. Very versatile scent. Good for anytime of year and any season. Not heavy for dead of summer, and will carry in a wet snowy winter

I purchased a huge 200 ml bottle for less than $20 back in 2021. I thought it smelled nice but it wasn’t by any means the most interesting fragrance among my bottles, so I kept it in a drawer and wore it once in a while until I forgot I had it. Recently I went through a declutter and got it out with the intention to sell it. I tried it once again and OMG, this is so much better now! It went from a basic vanilla to a deeper, complex, earthy and delicious perfume. Now the patchouli comes out and I get that soil after the rain kind of scent; the tonka bean adds a nutty character, and the vanilla, always shining, feels more natural and less synthetic. It’s warm, cozy and a little dark. It somehow reminds me of winter holidays and happy memories, and has become a favorite bedtime fragrance. I would say the staying power improved enormously too, although it remains a soft and easy scent. This “new” perfume of mine definitely smells way more expensive than its retail price, and I’m super happy I didn’t get to sell it.

In 2021 during Zara Winter sale I managed to get hold of 4 bottles (200ml) for some silly money. I think they were selling their stock out to give way for new formulation/bottle design. It is a soft, cozy, powdery vanilla with a distinctive musky drydown. I don't get any patchouli note per se, but I do believe it gave a spin to the fragrance overall. Nothing offensive, nothing groundbreaking about this scent. I literally drench myself in it everyday before going to the office, which resulted in me being quite nose-blind to it at this point. It has little to no projection, lasting power is weak to moderate depending on the climate, but of course it was expected and I still think it is a good price-quality ratio (especially when you buy it on sale like me ;) ) Lasts longer on clothes than skin. I wore it all year long - it is appropriate for all seasons. Very feminine, but not infantile. Great perfume :)

Ok I got this very unexpectedly because someone recommended it as their favorite fragrance. And I’m so impressed. Zara definitely got so much better with their fragrances. Bottle is beautiful and the sprayer is very good, smooth. And this just lasts forever on me ?? Seems to really work. Reminds me of Hypnotic Poison and Kenzo as well. But it’s its own fragrance. I could see myself wearing this as a signature scent and I wasn’t even a big Zara fragrance lover before. Price is ridiculously low. And you get something really nice here. Sometimes I feel like the notes aren’t as smooth as in a high end fragrance though. That’s probably normal since the price is so low. But you just get a great product without the huge commitment of paying a lot / not wanting to use it because it’s expensive. This is just a great everyday perfume.

Zara keeps changing their femme and thruth to be told mine isnt exactly the same as this but the ingredients match mostly the 2018 edition. It has said to be duping Dior Hypnotic Poison. I do not like HP because with that I can smell very little of anything else but the dominating play dough. However I love Zara Femme. It is by far my favourite vanilla fragrance. I was longest time thinking JPG Scandal Le Parfum in the red bottle was the best vanilla but Zaras Femme Is the best. Femme gives zero play dough and it smells more like a beautiful lotion scent. Very fuzzy. Shame they currently only make 30 ml bottle. However they just released a similarish but not as good almond fragrance called Freaking Gorgeous Friday wich smells more almondy and that comes in a big bottle. But Femme is so much better than that to me.

I really like this. It opens up a bit more fresh. I've seen people voted for an alcoholic opening, but I don't feel that, just a slight citrus. Then it evolves more and more to this velvety, cashmere like scent, sweet vanilla that is very nutty, not cloying. This reminds me a bit of Kenzo Amour (though I think kenzo amour is deeper and more like a wool vanilla), but it is very similar to the smell of the Karite Dove Bar, which is my favorite scent ever. It surprised me because I think it fixes rather well for an EDT. I really like the musky undertone and dry out. It's noticable at first spray bit gets more prominent as the vanilla settles.

I was pleasantly surprised by this, which I sprayed it on my wrist at random while browsing in Zara. It smelled like a perfect copy of 'Hypnotic Poison' (i.e. warm, musky vanilla with a bit of coconut). I bought a bottle and have worn it a couple of times since and on me the HP smell lasts a good 3-4 hours, but then fades to a smokier version, which is an almost perfect copy of Zadig and Voltaire 'This is Her'. This smell then hangs around for another 3-4 hours. It has decent projection and on me lasts much longer than other Zara fragrances do. I think this is really good for what it costs!

That would’ve been my signature scent if it lasted a little longer, it’s a very feminine warm sweet vanilla scent that is very likable and can be worn at anytime of the year except very hot summer mornings. it’s very addictive, i hated the musk when i first got it as it smelled a little cloying, but after a while it kind of adapted to exactly how i’d like it to smell, the bergamot note flies away quickly and the dry down is powdery sweet, and it smells like it has a hint of chocolate on my skin. awful sillage with a two hours longevity, but other than that, pretty lovely

Such a nice sophisticated scent. Delicious vanilla and tonka bean. What a shame the longevity is so weak, makes it perfect for wearing to bed, though. Update: the 'christmas edition' with a green cap seems to fade into a skin scent (at 6h wear currently) rather than disappearing completely. Lasts decently on clothing for the price. This is still my absolute favorite scent right now. They really hit the nail on the head with this one! I believe using some moisturizer could elongate the wear a bit and it would totally be worth the hassle as I reach for this all the time.

I actually love this fragrance as it somehow reminds me of my Highschool years I don't know how peony smells like but I'm sure there's a hint of floral every time I spritz this on my skin. The dried down like everyone here said, is creamy vanilla, inoffensive and welcoming kind of scent for me. I definitely smell something sour-citrusy at the beginning that slowly gone over time but I wonder why the official notes from Zara didn't include any citrus Anyway, it lasts around 10 hour or maybe more on me, im not sure as I never wear it for longer than that

This is fast turning into one of my most favourite fragrances of all time. And what a bargain, too. I find myself drawn to it every single morning in our hot—warm—muggy weather (March-September in my country, alas). Can’t pick out any notes per se, they all blend in so well with each other and with my skin chemistry, it’s just like a very sexy skin scent. It radiates in the warmth and keeps me fresh while I’m at work. Totally inoffensive, I actually find people appreciating it (uncommon where I live). Big, big thumbs up. Stellar work, Zara.

I like it. i have night collection from Emirates. it smells elegant, chic and simple, nothing very memorable or special. its opening is fresh with vanilla scent but not too sweet and heavy which i really love. dries down to a very creamy vanilla scent which is not annoying and is very comfy. doesn't last long, i can say 2-3 hours at most but it will last more on hair or clothes. based on its price it is very good and i suggest it if you want something for daily use and you love vanilla but don't like to over it with heavy and sweet scents.

I smell a lot of tonka bean in this and some spicy notes on top. It might be the musk and patchouli. The very basic base of this fragrance is a bit like the Hypnotic Poison EDP. It has that warm, spicy quality you find in that as well. It is less complex and generally more tolerable to my nose. If you spray away with this all over you will sneeze and it will be cloying. So don’t go ham. For what you get and the price you pay, this is an excellent fragrance. I would find it more pleasing in fall and winter I think.

This is an all-day, everyday fragrance for me! It's like a warm cup of chocolate milk on a cold day with a great book and laughter from children in the background. It makes me feel good!!! The vanilla isn't too sweet, and the musk isn't too heavy. The tonka and sandalwood, in the middle, ground the fragrance, so it's not too powdery, either. It's very well balanced for its price. I will definitely be getting another bottle to stock up on!

Amazing! Creamy, sweet and powdery. Very elegant. I feel like the vanilla definitely stands out, and I'm not really a vanilla fan, but this is very wearable and not overwhelming. I wouldn't consider it an innocent type of fragrance. To my nose, this is sexy and even a bit boozy. I don't really associate it with Kenzo Amour, and I don't get the playdoh-almond vibe from Hypnotic Poison. Something about it reminds me of Natura Ilia Secreto.

I am in love with this scent. It is the perfect cozy, creamy vanilla. I keep searching for a designer/niche that makes me feel the same way and so far I haven't. Some people say it smells masculine, I do not get that at all. It is very feminine, soft and creamy. Unfortunately it does not have great performance, no projection or longevity. I like to wear this at home or layer it with sweet/flowery scents.

i blind bought this for my mom cuz i know she loves peony and we were not left disappointed.. its like soft florals with vanilla woody base she said it smelled a bit unisex but in a good way, the sandal was my touch because i like spicy fragances so destiny lead us here... def sexy but not in an intimidating way its more like hehe u want me so much bashful almost i love it

I have a sample of Hypnotic Poison EDP and a sample of Zara Femme EDT. They have such a similar scent to each other. The Hypnotic Poison smells a little more sugary and the Femme smells a little more vanilla but so close. I like them both. I would definitely use Femme to go out shopping or around the house and keep the Poison for your longer lasting uses.

No matter how many zara will release their fragrances bt this one always remain my fav from their entire line , this is so cozy warm powdery vanilla kind of fragrance , a very relaxing , non offensive fragrance.... , i wish zara would never reformulate this beauty! Already have made my mind for a 200ml backup bottle of it since zara is unpredictable!

At first smell, I was turned off as the strong vanilla and musk screamed old lady to me, but after actually wearing it I fell in love. My boyfriend always compliments its scent and appreciates how it isn't too strong. It's a very warm scent that is perfect for a romantic date night. It's mature but in a sexy way that makes you feel powerful.

I never thought I would like this scent and at initial spray I wasn't too into it because of the vanilla note that is prominent but as it dried down the combination of sandalwood with the vanilla almost make it smell like a creamy leather candle. Anyway I like wearing this on cold days when I want to feel cozy but sort of elegant.

Nice, clean, powdery vanilla. I personally do not feel it smells like HP, but it is quite pleasant. Unfortunately it’s very weak. I keep a bottle of this in my car for colder weather. You will need to overspray. 6.5/10 if the projection and sillage were better it would be a 7

On my skin, I pick up only two notes—vanilla and musk. I have the 2018 version of the EDT. It’s a delicate musky, powdery vanilla. I can tolerate the alcohol in the opening because of the dreamy, skin-scent sillage that follows. At that price, I’ll keep repurchasing!

Is the lightest comforting scent i own. Perfect for bed time. i spray this with abandance because i have the 200ml bottle and i enjoy it very much. is a very dry vanilla just like Satine by lalique witch i also own and i layer them often. Well done zara.

I don't always want to smell like a flower goddess or sweet cake or boss lady, sometimes I just want to smell like a confident woman in nice mohair turtleneck and jeans. A bit unisex but elegant, no headache, no nausea, nothing loud.

It's nothing like Hypnotic Poison, no matter how you compare it. It smells of sandalwood, white flowers and vanilla and gets many compliments from women. It is not a copy for Hypnotic Poison, which is sweeter and vanilla-like.

Forget about spending 80 pounds on Dior Hypnotic Poison edt, Zara Femme costs only 10 pounds! This is a perfect dupe for Hypnotic Poison, long lasting as well. A cosy warm vanilla christmas perfection, I love it so much!

I’ve been trying to put my finger on where I know this smell from. YSL Manifesto Elixir. Lots of warm and creamy tonka w/ vanilla Updated- This has become a big love. I have to put it on at night. It’s warm and fuzzy.

This is a cozy oriental, the tonka bean and vanilla are beautiful together. Has been my go-to fragrance for WFH and a no-brainer fragrance when going out. Would highly recommend if you like vanilla!

Please, guys, help me find a perfume closest to this, but with better longevity. I adore this scent, if it was a little more powerful I would wear it every day every season. Anyone any suggestions?

This is my favorite Zara scent of all time! I love that it’s gentle but still present. Light, sweet, warm. Men go nuts for it, probably because of the vanilla (what’s with men and vanilla?).

very easy buy considering the price - I like to wear it when I'm working from home - it's a super cozy and classy. The problem is that it doesn't last very long unfortunately

I saw this on New Zealand’s online website a while back amongst all these expensive products a seller had for sale. At. $20.00 NZD I decided to take a gamble and hit the Buy Now option and purchase it. I had never seen it until then but I had heard of the brand. When I got it it came in a white glass simple bottle and I took the lid off and sprayed my left wrist. It was gorgeous. Warm and soft with cashmere like undertones. I could definitely smell Tonka beans and it sat nicely on my skin for a good six or so hours. Not bad for a perfume I paid very little for. Throughout the day I could smell musk, and it had a slightly sweet vibe. It wasn’t sickly at all and I decided to see if I could find another bottle in case I ran out. Sadly it was sold out on the Zara website which was difficult to bring up and other stockists so when I went to Australia recently I promised myself I needed to find a Zara store in Melbourne and once I did I never bothered to look at the clothes that were being sold and found it and grabbed two bottles. I have yet to finish the first one but when I opened the other one of the two I noticed it had the same sort of cap but the perfume was housed in a clear bottle. It smells wonderful on me and I get compliments on it which is lovely. I have only seen 5 ml samples of it on Trade Me so I am sure that this will last me till my next trip. A wonderful find that could be worn during all of the seasons and day or night. There is nothing bad about this one for my body chemistry.

Sweet floral vanilla with a clean touch. Smells very put together and lovely. There is a hint of patchouli in here, which i usually hate in my fragrances, but it doesn't stand out too much. The patchouli adds a smoky hint kinda reminiscent of cigarettes to me personally. I don't hate it however, but my initial thought of this fragrance was that it smelled better out the bottle than on me. It has been sitting on my dresser for a couple months now since I bought it and today I decided I would wear it out. I kinda love it?? I don't know what mood I was in when I put it on, but it just felt right and it was very pretty and feminine (very appropriately named!) and I loved it for my little date out this morning. It's part of zaras night collection, but i think this perfume wears well during daytime and it's not too strong or overly sexy or anything like that. It's just a creamy floral vanilla and pretty suitable for everyday imo. There's a couple extra notes in the current version, as frangipani, orchid and heliotrope are listed on the website for the current femme. I think those notes are what adds to the clean floral quality that i adore most about this perfume and I don't own another perfume that smells like it so its unique to my collection. Kinda excited to use this one up because I can see myself repurchasing it. It also smells amazing as a bedroom & linen spray. I love this perfume.

Femme is a beautiful budget fragrance. I smells much better than it's price point, but it loses some of it's value in the performance. It is a bit similar to Hypnotic Poison, but not a total dupe. I find Femme to be a little spicier (licorice-like, probably the patchouli) in the opening and it never quite makes it into the rootbeer territory that I get from Hypnotic Poison. It has a very similar sweet powderiness that I find very appealing. I like to wear Femme in the fall and winter during the day. It is a nice, slightly cozy fragrance that is an easy wear while running errands. It is feminine, without being girlie. I think it can appeal to any age, it is one of theose fragrances that I don't think of as youthful or mature. Thr performance is typical for a Zara fragrance. It usually lasts 3-4 hours and stays pretty close to the skin. I find the projection is helped with a heavier application, but the longevity stays about the same. A common problem with Zara fragrances is that they come out with new fragrances every season, but often recycle the same names. My bottle is at least a couple years old, opaque white bottle with silver lettering similar to the bottle on Femme's fragrantica page. I have no idea if the Femme they currently sell is the same fragrance or not. In general Zara fragrances are a good value, as long as you aren't expecting strong performance.

I ordered it because I liked all the previous Zara frags I owned and because of the comparisons to Dior’s HP. As another one of Zara’s it didn’t disappoint me. It’s fun, sweet, girly vanilla thing that makes you think of a crème dessert. However, I don’t think it is particularly similar to Hypnotic Poison, even as a “kitten-heels” version. It doesn’t give you that warm, enveloping feeling – it’s light and airy. It lacks at least almonds to create that signature coconut-almond-vanilla combo. Funnily enough, I felt more similarity in Zara’s Violet Blossom, when full-on Tonka beans came through feeling very almondy. That said, both Femme and HP are in roughly the same category, so if you like one, you will probably like the other. However, if you are looking for a cheaper HP dupe, Jeanne Arthes Guipure&Silk is a much-much closer approximation. Zara Femme is just vanilla fun. Projects across the room, by the way, so don't overspray - it wears deceptively light, but people around you feel the sweet cloud radiating from you. UPD: Actually, you know what? If anything Dior, it's more of a powdery-vanilla dry down of Poison Girl.

During this stay-at-home period, I think I need to keep myself happy and cozy while stuck working at home. And I thank Zara Femme for keeping me company in an ultra affordable price. Zara Femme is far from offensive. It is powdery sweet and generally very polite (except for the first 30 minutes, when I think it explodes - but then calms down real quick). I like to consider it's very home appropriate. I live in tropical area where the air can get real hot and sticky, but I still don't feel it heavy. The most noticeable note for me is the tonka bean and vanilla. Most of the time it is stay close to the skin, and lasts for about 6 hours which breaks down into: First 10 minutes: boom! filling the room Next 20 minutes: projects within arm length Next 1 hour: the people sitting close to you will notice The remaining: you will need to take a sniff to know it's still there I will keep Zara Femme for home perfume, but I don't think it has the strength to go out in a hot, humid, tropical area like where I live, except for an occasional chilly nights or rainy days

You're eating a warm gourmet marshmallow while you are wrapped up in a blanket that was washed yesterday, so it still has a lingering softener scent. I didn't detect any bergamot or peony in the opening, only alcohol really. Once the alcohol fades from the initial spray, I get a soft vanilla, tonka bean and patchouli. As it dries down, the patchouli actually fades to the background where it's not noticeable, but is still there to provide depth which I'm all for because I don't care for it. In the dry down, the musk comes forth to round out the vanilla and tonka bean notes. The silliage is moderate and the longevity is maybe 4 hours max until it becomes a skin scent.. It projects and lasts longer in my hair and on my clothes, especially in cold weather. I like it enough and the opaque bottle is very chic. I wear this when I'm at home, going to the office or for bed. It's a cozy one!

I just got this and I like it. It's a slightly spicy, woody, sweet, warm and mature, a bit sexy but not overly. Seems to last quite well, maybe 5 hours or so. I know people compare this to Hypnotic Poison at lot but I'm surprised nobody compares it to Dune. That was the first thing that came to mind right away a first whiff. Like Dune but a bit sweeter with vanilla. It strikes me as a fall scent and although more feminine-leaning, could also be a unisex fragrance. Edit: I do like this but I have come to determine that my husband, no matter how diplomatic he may try to be, DOES NOT. He actually covered his nose. I like it, but I also get it. The more I smell it, the more I think how unisex this smells. I'd love to smell this on a man (unfortunately, mine does not wear fragrance...of course).

I think it’s a pretty scent. I don’t detect the top notes much, but I get a pretty powdery vanilla. It’s a bit sweet but not candy-like. Well-blended. Update: 08/06/2023. I bought this in July, and my bottle is clear glass. It says Femme and weekend 04. I am guessing mine is not the 2018 version but newer. I could not find another Femme in Fragrantica’s database for Zara. Maybe the notes are different for the clear bottle. I don’t get Dior Hypnotic Poison from this. If I were forced to compare to the Poison line, maybe the Girl flanker. Update: 08/14/2023. It is slightly sweeter than I like. But this layers well with other perfumes, especially with rose dominant ones. It is also a good option in tempering Guerlain Shalimar’s heavy burnt leather note.

Creamy vanilla with a hint of spiciness ! I can’t imagine anyone not liking it .It’s not the sexiest perfume out there but doesn’t seem like “old lady” to me .Perfumes are very subjective indeed and people comprehend them differently based on their own experiences,not to mention how different everyone’s olfactory senses are! Sillage is moderate .Lasts a good 7-8 hrs on my clothes !Bang for the buck! I owned a 30ml bottle of this one!Liked it enough to go for the full size.The only reason I won’t repurchase again might be because I want to try new scents!

Very cute everyday affordable scent. It's very weak, both on sillage and durability, but on clothes and hair can last a few hours. Definitely a skin scent, very feminine (would be funny if not lol). A powdery fluffy vanilla with a sweet citrusy open and a musky and creamy drydown. It's not a juvenile fragrance. To me it smells like a woman who has a very organised, cute, put together life. Minimalistic but in a lady-like way. It's good for everyday use if you want something discrete, to go to sleep, and as an office scent.

Ooohhh this is pretty. I blind bought this on a whim. Got home and to my horror read the reviews that it was similar to Hypnotic Poison...which I hate - I hate almond in most fragrances. But hesitantly I sprayed...and...YAY! This has a very, very faint HP vibe, but as this has no almond, its predominantly a musk/vanilla scent. Sillage is an arms length, and longevity I'm yet to find out. But as with 99% of Zaras fragrances, they aren't winners in those 2 categories. But hey! Cheap enough to spray away all day and night! X

A very cozy perfume, easy to wear. It doesn't have a very good projection, but I usually use it at night before going to sleep or during the day when I'm at home. It feels like a nice vanilla but not in a gourmand way, it is a delicate vanilla, it reminds me of fabric softener but in a good way. But being a wearer of strong perfumes, it is not the kind of perfume I would wear when I go out. I see it as a warm and delicate perfume that you can wear without disturbing anyone...I really like it.

Zara Femme is a good fragrance for the price. it lasts 6+ hours on me, I wear it in the winter time when I’m just feeling casual and dont want to wear anything expensive or too heavy. The beginning smells similar to liquorice and boozy, only after several hours does it start to settle into musky-vanillac. It’s not a super complex fragrance which I think is nice and it’s non offensive if you have a light hand with it. I would repurchase again but it’s not something to write home about.
