Zara Gardenia 2016

I have to agree, At first I thought there is zero gardenia here, I mean if I was blind folded, the last thing I'd think of is gardenia. For the first few hours it's berry fruity and I like it, It's very much like Ser Al Khulood by Lattafa Perfumes but better. I think young teens would love the fruity sweet scent and I love it even though I'm not young because this type of scent is one of my favorite. If you love berry type smells like I do and happened to see a bottle, Go for it!!! It's very long lasting on me and a lot stronger and longer lasting than the Ser Al Khulood. It's still going strong ten hours later and I can smell a type of gardenia? Nah, Tuberose more likely, smell now just faintly under the chewy berry scent. It's a beautiful dry down. I highly recommend testing this scent . I would welcome a bottle in to my wardrobe if one happens to be available at a sensible price.

What a steal. At that price...man. I got it few years ago, before getting actual BO and recently I thought about getting more. One of the best Zara has to offer. If you love BO and want to stack yourself forever, and use it for the bedsheets, your dog, your room, your banana tree, hair, car and whatsoever, buy this :D. Update: I don't feel like using this everywhere anymore, maybe I'll just pour it into a floor cleaner one day.

This smells to me exactly like Black Opium minus the coffee note,which I dislike in Black Opium. Very long lasting on me and great value for its price. I will repurchase it again.

A dupe for YSL Black Opium. A very nice and elegant smells with great value. You can purchase this one if your budget is tight. Doesn't smell cheap at all. One of my fav!

When I first bought this perfume I was very dissappointed because this does not smell like Gardenia at all! However it was a pleasant, fruity smell and I became very fond of it. My dad says this perfume makes him "want to bite me" since it smells so juicy and sweet. On my skin it smells like raspberry with jasmine and a hint of musk. I read this was a dupe for Black Opium so the last time I went to the department store, I sprayed it and wow! It does smell almost identical to Gardenia! Black Opium smells more flowery with coffee whilst Gardenia is more fruity but after 1 hour you cant really tell the difference !! How do you do it Zara!? The bottle is pretty simple but the spray its kind of cheap, its like it doesnt spray all the way and I have to push down hard to get the whole spray, but it works. And mine its not a lila colour, rather than a yellow líquid, but I know that often happens to the perfumes with vanilla in them, and it hasnt affected the smell whatsoever.

I'd like to know who is the freak who gives names to Zara perfumes. Gardenia? What? It smells like touberose, sweet and intoxicating. I can't perceive neither raspberry, nor vanilla. However, it is a very feminine perfume, if you like touberose.

A raspberry milkshake made with raspberries, vanilla ice cream, and milk. Creamy, fruity, gourmand, yet fresh. Simple and cute. It reminds me of black opium, but not exactly. It’s a nice cheep alternative. It’s a good scent, with great longevity too.

No gardenia, no vanilla..no raspberry..somehow jasmine is somewhat undetectable either. It smells like something from Avon or Oriflame..very cheap and generic chemical scent with some kind of basic undetected pyramid. P.S: similarity with Black Opium of YSL sounds like a humor. There is nothing similar between those fragrances. Zara gardenia is cold, transparent and some suffocating flowery chemical bouquet without any spices. Black Opium is a warm and spicy scent with strong notes of a coffee, licorice, almond and patchouli. They are different like day and night.

I would like to love this fragrance it’s so cheap. When I smelled at the store I love this fragrance but when I actually using this, it gives me headache. Literally a single spray is enough to make me dizzy. It is so sweet and doesn’t smell like gardenia at all. It’s more like a fruity kind of sweet which I don’t really like.

Sweet white floral and vanilla fragrance. It smells good. I like it.

This is a great dupe for YSL Black Opium. I also think that this has a hint of Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture. I love that this fragrance is sweet with some musk, making it good for day and night. This fragrance in no way smells like gardenia. I would not even consider this a floral fragrance. So, if you are looking for something floral, this one is not for you. If on the other hand you purchased this as a dupe for YSL Black Opium, you are in luck! I personally prefer Zara Gardenia over YSL Black Opium because it isn’t as offensive. So if you like YSL Black Opium but want something at a fraction of the price that is slightly not as strong/offensive then this is perfect!

The dry down is quite similar to black opium,but not that much the opening. At that point I think it is more like Olimpea and the likes. It does smell of coffee, praline, and other sticky cloying notes. No gardenia at all, as everyone else said, but nor the othe notes listed above, not noticeably, I mean. Zara always gives out fake information about the composition, not to mention the never appropriate names. Having said that, recently I started thinking that some of he dupes, at least, are quite good. And I do think that some do have good, or at least average, staying power.

If you think there is actual Gardenia in here, then you're the kind of person that gets tele-marketing phone calls and would like to hear what they (recorded voice) has to say. You're the kind of person that thinks O.J. Simpson will go out driving around looking for the REAL killer. Get a life. Zara fragrances are no better than common "Our Impression Of..." knock-offs with crummy dry-downs and zero longevity. Get a life. P.S. At this point there are about half a dozen perfect clones of Black Opium BETTER than this at Wal-Mart and Target. Useless.

This is a good dupe for Black Opium, honestly I like this one way better since it’s not as sickly sweet as Black Opium. It’s a rich, spicy, sweet floral but I can also detect the musk and bergamot. For the price, it’s INCREDIBLE. It’s super sexy and powerful, sillage and longevity are pretty good for the low price too. Perfect for the colder months or as a night time scent❤️ 4/5⭐️

This is black opium but better. It's less sweet. I like sweet fragrances ,but sometimes black opium is just too much for me. I feel like the girl who wears this comes across as more responsible and introverted than the girl who wears black opium.

Sweet fruit and a nice bergamot.. Good to go for teens and women who feel playful
