Zara Rose

I bought this because I read it is a good dupe for J'Adore. Dupe for J'Adore or not, it smells sooo good whatever it is supposed to be. The rose smell is such a good rose smell. One of the best rose smells I think I've smelled so far and I have a good few perfumes with rose. I love florals as well and that's what it is. Nothing gourmand or fruity though. Just a garden of flowers. Great price as well. When I run out of this bottle I'll def be buying another bottle. It will be a staple in my collection for a long time. LOVE it. If florals are your thing this is a safe blind buy (it was a blind buy for me).

I am a lover of rose or rosy type fragrances. I have been looking for the perfect rosy scents. This is a fresh and modern rose with peony. Divine. I also love Paul Smith Rose and this one is in the same category for fresh roses. This has arms length projection and projects for about 2 hours before fading into one that is closer to the skin. I spray generously....6 sprays or more. I love it as a winter fragrance. It adds the sunny sweetness of fresh roses on cold days. I LOVE IT!

This had been my signature scent during most of my teenage years. It is absolutely gorgeous, and as an owner of both J’adore and Rose, I can attest there is a similarity in there. They’re not identical, J’adore is a tad fruitier while Rose is well... more Rose oriented, but they have similar DNAs. A very beautiful scent this is. 8/10

This is really soft and lovely. Rose, but not in-your-face rose. Musky, but gently so. It’s not sweet in the way the Nina Ricci Extase line is, and it’s not as woody or warm as Chloé Roses de Chloé. It’s everyday, airy, likable, and subtle. Not long lasting, and you would need to spray a lot if you want to make it noticeable.

I hope they never discontinue Zara Rose EDT. I have had so many compliments of it over the years since 4years ago. On my skin, the notes are slightly more rose powdery, and it's sillage lasts throughout the day for me. I could use this forever.

Smells identical to the dry down of J’adore Dior EDT.

First spray Reminds me of warm flowery laundry. Like if Gain laundry detergent had a rose dominant version. The dryer sheets to be specific. I can see how some people can compare this to j’adore but if it is not a dupe. It does have similarities especially in the dry down. I saw a review that said it was the poor man’s. J’adore, I feel that. It’s soft, and slightly powdery. It’s quite strong when you first put it on. Like if you sniffed a dryer sheet up close and personal. It gives me a clean out of the shower vibe. The musk and sandalwood are heavy in this give it a warm, slightly powdery, soft scent. The floral notes in the mid give it a feminine touch. The green notes are in the background but don’t last long. Not my favourite, but I feel like this fragrance would be nice for cozy settings, a movie night, a bed time scent. Maybe an office fragrance, It’s not long lasting, so I think it would work perfectly for bedtime! You can enjoy the cozy fresh laundry smell for an hour while getting to bed and it’s gone by the time you wake up. After an hour it’s more of a close to the skin scent, so this may be suitable for a work environment. I enjoy it, but with my other Zara fragrances, I won’t be reaching for this daily.

This is a poor man's J'adore. Juicy, sparkly, sweet and fresh, a spring/summer daytime scent. Very pleasant, not cloying or too floral. As with all the rest of Zara fragrances, this has very poor longevity and sits close to the skin; I tend to look at Zara "perfumes" as body mists. On my skin Zara Rose doesn't last at all, i usually spray it in my hair and clothes instead. I tend to use this a lot during the warmer months after a shower, it's a nice, freshly sweet pick-me-up and very feminine. Yesterday I wore it with my hair lightly curled, with some light jeans on, a white blouse and nude handbag - casual yet put together. I've also started to layer it with J'adore, which I'm running out of and trying to make that bottle last. Plus, you can't beat the price tag.

It took me a while to find this entry because the current bottle looks very different from the entry picture. This is Rose from Zara's Day Collection btw. It's a pretty ok value for a perfume under $20. Starts off with clean rose and slight powdery notes but over time it starts to smell like Dove deodorant. Projection is decent and it lasts 2-4 hours. 2025 Update: After a while the perfume grew on me since I started to be more involved in the perfume community. It's definitely more rose-like to my trained nose. There's still the powder note after sitting for a while, hence why I initially thought of deodorant, but it's more delicate than Dove. I'm so sad that it's discontinued now. Been trying to seek for something similar scent-wise and price-wise. 8/10

Opens fresh, rosey, airy, a bouquet of a fresh, springy roses, that if settled just like that and for the rest of the day it would be delightful. Instead, in two minutes approximately the perfume develops into...J'adore Dior. Can't tell the difference! And the proof of it is that I walked in my aunt's house and she exclaimed while greeting me: oh you are wearing J'adore, my favorite fragrance!. Personally I am not amused by J'adore, so I am also indifferent towards Zara Rose, but if you like J'adore and you can't afford it, try Zara Rose. Come on Zara, you could have been more creative. No imagination at all. Lasted on my skin at around four hours. More than the Black flanker of this like(the one in the matte grey bottle)which lasted only two.

It's J'adore in an ugly bottle,, but hey at a fraction of the price so am not complaining much, only a little bit. C'mon zara give us a pretty bottle please! The fragrance is light and beautiful...it's like a you're on a picnic date while wearing a summer dress in a rose garden on a breezy day *chef's kiss* thankfully it's not sweet or thick I mean if I wanted a sugarbomb I'd go for Victoria's secret perfumes This is just a perfect soft girly floral...if only it had better longevity *sigh* but am in India and the climate makes everything dissipate so what do I know? Just wish Zara had more stores all over India so I could sample other dupes easily I panned it, sadly it's discontinued now

I was at Zara today and ended up testing their inexpensive fragrances just for fun. Rose impressed me. I love the smell of natural roses, but too many rose perfumes are too sweet, even cloying to my taste. This is not. Maybe it's the freesia - one of my favourite flowers - that makes this rose perfume smell fresh and crispy. Very nice for a 10 euro fragrance, and the bottle is cute.

It smells strongly of flowers, but it doesn't last at all. I would have to carry the bottle every day at the university!!! and put on again and again to smell delicious. Also after the smell of flowers wears off a bit, you get very chemical nasty smells that I don't like. Some people say it smells like a J'adore Dior dupe but I've never even smelled that, so I don't know how they want me to care. HAHAHAHAHAHA 6/10

Smells like flowers submerged in water. Nice but boring scent. Very linear, zero longevity. Feels like spraying water from a flower vase, not like fragrance. Not worth it, even if it's cheap.

This is my first perfume from Zara. I like and I mostly wear Zara's clothes but I never bothered testing their perfumes until some days ago. I always thought that the quality would be low and I would waste my money but I was wrong.... So while I was browsing around the store some days ago, I decided to give them a try. I sampled many of them on the specific sampling strips and one of them that sparked my interest was Rose. I did not want to make an impulsive purchase so I took all the strips with me and I left the store. Back home, I had the chance to give them another try and once again I picked Rose. I was quite surprise with my choice because in general terms I never really liked rose perfumes, the majority that I had at least tried in my life they seemed heady to me and quite old fashioned, more suitable for older ages. I checked here on Fragrantica the notes of the perfume and certainly the fact that it contained green notes, it influenced my choice. In the past I was wearing my beloved "Dawn" by SJP which belonged to the floral green family but it was discontinued and many other perfumes that I had tried from this group (family) seemed to me very harsh. So I was quite happy that I found another alternative which matched my needs/preferences, therefore I finally bought it....Rose as a perfume is quite subtle and soft, and close to the skin. Certainly the main, the dominant notes of the perfume are the flower (floral) ones but the green notes balance them and add them a fresher, mellow vibe/twist. The duration of the fragrance is quite good, surprisingly enough, I can still smell it on my arm after 4, 5 hours from the first application. Overall I am quite satisfied, bearing in mind that it is a very affordable fragrance (I paid only 10 € euros - 11 $ - 9 £, for a 100 ml bottle). Most of the time I buy small bottles of perfumes (30 ml) not only because of their cheap/affordable prices but also because I like to change and try new perfumes but I want to believe that with this one, I did not go wrong (nice, easy going smell and affordable, cheap price) and I will enjoy it for a long time....PS: General speaking fragrances in Greece are quite expensive in comparison to UK and USA or other European countries...for example during sales period (with a usual 25% off) the starting price for an average, "celebrity-type", everyday, casual, fragrance (30 ml) is around 30-35 € euros (26 £, 33 $) so certainly the 10 € euros was a very good deal..... P.S. 6/6/2022 The only drawback that I could mention is its thick opacity, that prevents me from checking how much is left inside. After 5 years of use, I shake it and I understand that there are left very few ml inside but due to its opacity I am just guessing....Generally speaking I am trying to store and keep most of my perfumes inside their boxes (the majority of them) inside a drawer away from the heat and the light but I truly believe that the specific bottle protects the perfume quite well as it is.

Fragrance -Zara Rose Bottle from - 2018 For some reason,this fragrance reminds me of an inspiring woman enjoying the first rays of the spring sun in the early morning. Zara Rose opens on my skin with a bright,positive and slightly fruity bouquet of flowers with dominant rose enchanted with some kind of fresh green magic. During mid development,rose becomes stronger with an astonishing touch of freesia and with a wisper of pleasant musk yet to come.At this point,in the middle,Zara Rose has some similarities to J'adore by Christian Dior. This all leads into a musky,floral,slightly spicy and woody base. Longevity - 6/10(6+ hours) Silage/Projection - 7/10(moderate projection for the first 1-2 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -Best in spring and summer. Age - 20+ Compliments(low-medium-high) - medium to high Scent - 7,5/10 Main notes according to me - rose,freesia,peony,black currant,musk. The drydown is musky,floral,slightly spicy and woody and I get some musk,flowers,spices and sandalwood. Emotions -woman enjoying the first rays of the spring sun, bright,positive,likeable. Occasion(Versatility - 9/10) -For more or less any ocasion. If you like floral fragrances,could be a safe signature scent."Quality/Cost Ratio" is high.

This is the first Zara perfume I have purchased. It was a blind buy inspired by comments on this page. I have not been dissatisfied. Initial scent is the most beautiful burst of fragrant Rose and Freesia with a hint of musk, this settles into a sophisticated floral and slightly spicy scent. This perfume smells luxurious and not at all cheap. Longevity is surprising, I have yet to find an edp let alone edt that lasts more than a couple of hours on my skin; However I sprayed this scent on myself 8 hours ago without a further spritz and can still smell it quite strongly on me. This is a must buy perfume, affordable, extremly long lasting and absolutely gorgeous aroma. What's not to love!

I just got an empty bottle of this fragrance. My colleagues give me any (empty) bottles they have or don't want, anymore. This is a great way to get some fragrances they don't like and I add to my collection (when the bottles aren't empty). At the same time I use the empty bottles to sniff and try to get the very last bit out of them, so I know if they are worth buying. Instantly I recognized this fragrance: Le Jardin Rose from Max Factor! Well, at least the one I still have (2 bottles) from the 80-ies and of course they are 1/2 empty. What a fun discovery! Such a sweet scent.

Even for someone whose personality is so bland like me, this EDT is boring. I can smell the hint of green notes in the opening, and that's it. It develops into toiletries-like scent, not in a clean soapy way... I really don't know how to explain this. Since I loved roses on frags, I got high hopes when purchasing this one. The name and the bottle looked promising. And the first spray let me down, sadly. I am baffled. Can hardly enjoy it. Give it to my sister and she seems to enjoy it!

This reminds me of haiku from avon a lot im not a fan its a bit strong for me i like sweet scents this is more floral if you love floral perfumes get this its not a bad perfume i just dont like it for me will give this to my aunt since she loves haiku from avon!! longevity 7/10 Also if you like glow by jlo you will like this !!!!

this is very powdery, very floral and the black curant is quite strong, I'm not a fan of rose perfumes but this is very soft

Really fresh, not too sweet. Perfect for the money! One of my favourites from the ‘cheaper’ Zara perfume line!

No longevity. Gone in a snap. Going to gift it to my 12 year old.

A copy of jadore, but there are copies even cheaper and better.

Old lady scent. Like a rose scented soap. Very boring.
