MOLéCULE 234.38

I am in love with molecule 234.38! It smells so delightful, it's like it's a part of you when you wear it. And as many have pointed out, it does disappear and then reappear all day, all of a Sudden you smell something lovely and at other Times you can't quite detect it. I love that actually. I get headaches very easily with smells and scents, but with this I don't. It is also impossible to over use it. When i first tested this I was shopping with my friend and she kept stopping to sniff me the rest of the day saying I smelled sooooo good! I really like the idea of the perfume mixing with your own pheromones, although I can't say if that's the case, anyhow it does smell like nothing else I've ever experienced which may be why i am obsessed with it. I am scandinavian, from Sweden, and I read that Zarko designed the scents with inspiration from and for the Scandinavian life style, and I can only agree that I get a Scandinavian vibe from this but I believe everyone everywhere would enjoy this. Give it a go, I knew 10 minutes after testing it that I loved it!

I'm assuming this is an iso-e fragrance. Though i haven't tested molecule 01 i have tried iso-e by itself in perfumers alcohol. This is a stronger version of that. Fortunately i can detect the aroma of light cedar and distant vanilla/sandalwood. It's like terre d hermes without the bitter orange. A long lasting warm woody semi sweet aroma that permeates your environment. Over all i do like this. I just feel bad saying it's similar to other fragrances. I think this can be worn by both genders. But best suited for a man.. Reason being.. ;) Zarkoperfumes made a female version of this. Maybe not exactly but it's called pink molecule. At this point in time it's not listed on fragrantica. As for molecule 234.38 Longevity 8.5/10 Sillage 7/10 Quality 8/10 An interesting fragrance i must admit. i like it's ghostly way of appearing out of the blue and fading away just to say hi another time. note* from what i can decipher this has molecule 01 beat in most aspects. Especially price!

I have tried two different batches of this perfume that were not the same, so that may explain the split in reviews. I first tried a sample from niche-beauty.com, and LOVED it. Sweet, subtle, just a really pretty clean scent. Then I ordered a 10ml spray from Amazon, which from all the reviews seems to be legit. From this batch, I could smell nothing. Just an alcohol scent, somewhat like unscented hairspray. How disappointing! I am not the only one who has smelled nothing from this perfume, however I have tried a version that I could smell. This makes me think there are inconsistencies in batches? I would love to get a bottle of the original scent I tried, however I am hesitant as to what I will actually receive...

This fragrance is 90% Iso-E Super and 10% Galaxolide. Nothing except these two molecules. Galaxolide is the most widely used clean, fluffy and sweet laundry musk. It's the backbone of modern white musk fragrances. So this is basically a clean musk remix of Molecule 01. It's funny how this simple combination gets 4 stars, when so many complex artistic creations struggle to get good ratings. These two molecules are very cheap to produce and have been widely used since the 70's. But there's a reason for that: they smell good. And so does this fragrance. Even to people who don't enjoy heavy perfumes. Simple tricks are sometimes the best!

Got it as a tester but am definitely going to up the game with a full bottle. On my skin this smells like a 1:1 drydown of the Rare Beauty Amber vanilla fragrance balm which I adore! Paired together is heaven..🫠 Not very strong but long lasting, little sweet comforting ambery woods. The woods are not hammering the fragrance down, just a perfect balance. I almost get something little green and ambery vanillic spread over the calming woody warmth. Love it. It’s highly addictive, can’t stop sniffing my hand🙂

I LOVE this perfume! I first learned of Zarko when I was taking a bus to Eibsee in Germany in October 2019. There was a lovely woman wearing a white sweater sitting near me who smelled divine and I just had to ask her what perfume she was wearing. It was Molecule 234.38. I bought it for myself as a Christmas present and it remains one of my favorites. It smells sophisticated, the longevity is satisfactory, and there is nothing scratchy or overwhelming. Perfect scent.

I get the most compliments when I use any molecular fragrance as my base, and Molecule 234.38 does its job excellently. Idk why my preference is to smell like pencil shavings or hamster cage bedding, but alas, I like what I like. Molecule 234.38 is identical to Molecule 01, but projects louder and lasts way longer. At the dry down, I’m left with a soft, sweet woody scent that’s so clean and cozy. Smells safe and comforting.

My skin completely eats Molecule 01 — it stays beautiful but totally undetectable on me. I also can’t wear anything I can smell on myself because it makes me nauseous, so I need scents that project outward but stay invisible to my own nose. Zarko works perfectly with my skin chemistry: it lasts, it projects, and it remains undetectable to me while others notice it immediately.

This is it. This is the perfume I’ve smelled on people in the summer. The lady on the bus that simply said “Zarko” but couldn't recall which one she was currently wearing. It was Molecule 234.38 all along. Such a flirt, sweet and woody. Pure molecule cat perfume. I chase her and she runs away but when I'm busy she sticks her tail in my nose, and what a beautiful tail!

This is a softer version of Molecule 01. It's like if Molecule 01 and Not a perfume had a baby, this would be their love child. I love it.

This is the sweet woody clean scent I've been looking for! Lovely!! Longlasting and good sillage, no need to overspray.

It's a more subtle Paper+ minus the amber and vetiver. I love it.

Molecule 01 but a bit sweeter. This is Perfect! 10/10

This is a strange one. If I use it after a fresh shower It smells chemical, if I smell where I sprayed it's not pleasant. From a distance it smells like new bedsheets a very neutral clean scent. But if I use it when I have been working and sweating it has a more flower like smell but not in the sense of powdery flowery like chanel no5. No, a I just entered a hotel room with new bedsheets kind of smell. If you are looking for something that has a typical new clean smell that is not sweet or sour or cytrus or woody or fruity or herbal or..... I can go on smell then this is it. It's perfect but the sillage is not wide at all.

One of my current favourites. Although it's good by itself, I would use this for layering. I love paring this one with Diptyque Eau Duelle, my most complimented combo. To me it's warm and inviting, but I dont always notice it myself. It stays quite close to the skin, something I like about it. My friends and colleges always give me compliments when they get a whiff of it. The bottle i have has lasted me a long time as well. Worth a try!

This used to be my (for the lack of a better word) dumb grab for a few years. I bought it from a retailer in Eastern Europe and from Amazon UK, both times identical, no bad batches. On me it is a very dry woody smell with a touch of salt/ happy marine notes. From my skin in projects and feels like a safe perfume for meetings. However from the reviews below it feels like skin chemistry really matters with this one?

Ah, bummer... I guess I'm another one of those who can't smell the iso-e super? I only get a mild woody-musky scent from this one. I sometimes get whiffs of it if I don't smell it up close, but it's very elusive to my nose

It's a nice fragrance if you like very soft, lightly powdered, lightly musky fragrances. Well-balanced but lacks intrigue.

Skin chemistry matters with this fragrance. As described by the manufacturer, its meant to react with your own 'skin molecules'. So in a way, this fragrance relies on YOU and what you are wearing that day, how clean your skin is, your skin oils, etc - which to me is kind of silly and defeats the purpose of a fragrance. Also seems like there are different batches and formulations. Sometimes all I get is straight alcohol and other times I get a mineral woody/citrusy scent. Doesn't last very long on me. Very popular in Europe.

Nothing really wrong with it, but I am not really a fan of this type of scents. To me, it just smells a bit generic, like fresh laundry.

This might be the thousandth comment, but it's the lighter version of that molecule 1 by eccentric molecules. Nice, but also boring.

Warm, comforting, but barely detectable and not worth the price.

I tried it on before shower and after it I could still smell it. The scent was average that time, a bit sharp, but not very unpleasant. Second time I sprayed it at work, on me and maybe 6 more people, on everyone was different. One girl really hated it because it smelled like aftershave, I could not smell this scent on her, but I could smell slight sharpness, she tried superhard to wash it out, but she couldn't. On another friend this scent was a bit sweet, no sharpness and fun fact she usually wears sweet perfumes. On a boy it was somehow a clean-flowery scent, no sharpness. On another girl it was a bit sharp. On another boy was also sharp. And the last boy it was like an masculine sharp fragrance. On me on that day I could smell it also a bit sharp, but the others said it's floral, I usually wear florals. That was interesting experiment, but for my nose it smells too unpleasant sharp. Overall maybe 2 hits and 5 miss. I'll repeat the experiment. I tried layering it, but it was again too sharp unpleasant scent. I tried Esscentric Molecules 01 in the airport, before my flight and it had the same sharpness in the beginning, but it faded away after a while so I decided to try another perfume on the same arm, but another place. The whole flight I was smelling my arm it was so nice. I tried the same scent but without the molecule and it was not so strong and didn't last that long and it lacked the initial freshness that I liked so much in the plane. But I'll repeat the experiment.

I'm a bit confused by this fragrance. It doesn't smell like anything at all. After the initial vodka alcohol smell went away...there's just nothingness. It just made my arm super oily. Anyone else experienced this? Maybe if I stick my nose in my arm where I sprayed (5 sprays), I can detect a slight hint of a peachy plastic hairspray-like scent? But other than that, there seems to be no scent at all. Don't understand it at all. I'm glad I didn't blind buy and get intrigued by this fragrance with no notes listed at all and all the pheromone stuff, which I feel like is just marketing tactics.

I put it on this morning, two sprays on my neck and one on each wrist. After 30 minutes it was gone, and I reapplied. At first it was very silent, but the small scent I could detect, was masculine. Now, 6 hours later, it was almost gone (8 sprays all together) but still slightly masculine when i stuck my nose into my wrists.... This is not for me. Normally I'm a huge fan og both Pink molecule and the orange Cloud, both from Zarko, but I can't figure out why many people love this one, and how they "got away" with making it a thing.

In lower concentrations Iso-E is alright and can add depth to a fragrance. However, I DREAD Iso-E in high concentrations. To me it smells like a plastic/metallic synthetical version of a wet, fungal tree stump. It's not a happy scent, and to be honest, the smell makes me feel sad and detached. Many people are (semi-)anosmic to it and tend to overspray, at the expense of those around who can smell it fulltime. I'm waiting for this trend to be over.

on me it smells woody with a hint of tobacco. quite masculine and not my cup of tea. it does develop a sweetness but altogether this combo feels a bit musty

Bummer, this smells so good on paper but awful on my skin.

First time I tried this was at a launch party at my local perfume store. I had a long talk with Mr. Zarko (who by the way is a really cool guy) about he's creations, and was excited to try this out. Earlier this year (2014) it received an award for best perfume at the danish fashion awards. So I tried it at the store and I smelled nothing! So we applied some more and still nothing. I know that my skin eats perfume and I never get more than 2-3 hours from perfumes, but here I got nothing. Nothing at all. Update: Today I returned to the shop to give it another go, and still nothing.. I get no sent at all. This idea about Molecules being the new black feels a little like "The Emperor's New Clothes".

kinetisphere: I have Pink molecule and this one too, and they are not similar at all. Pink molecule also has iso e super, but it smells mostly of grape mixed with molecule. It is fresh. This one on the contrary is very sweet, deep and not fresh at all, and in this one the molecule is much more niticeable than in the Pink molecule. I think both of them are mostly feminine. Cant imagine a man wearing this one. The molecules 08 from Zarkoperfume is for men and Inception too, I think

Many people are anosmic to ISO E Super, meaning they can’t smell it, including myself. I have not tested this perfume here, but I have experience with other perfumes containing high levels of ISO E Super. It just baffles me when I spray perfume on my skin and I can’t smell anything at all. I have read somewhere that about 25% of people can’t smell ISO E Super or have a bad reaction to it. Personally I wish ISO E Super was banned from perfumery all together.

I discovered this last summer after I chased a woman down to ask her what she was wearing. I adore this, it’s woody, warm, spicy yet crisp. I layer it with a vanilla or citrus based scents or wear it alone. I understand others can’t smell this, after a fresh spray I asked a friend if they liked it, they said, “smells like alcohol, no it smells like sweat”. So if you like this, like it for yourself and not for anyone else or as a compliment grabber.

I love this fragrance. It's so similar to how my girlfriend smells naturally. But yeah, this is the Iso-E super molecule we know from Escentric Molecule 01, but they've tweaked it, so while it's similar it's not the same smell. In Denmark 01 is used by a lot of women. I smell 01 constantly; while shopping, at my work, trains, busses etc. so this is a great alternative if you don't want to smell like everybody else.

This perfume is so disgusting. It smells like petrol on the skin, and I got my family to try it on their skin as well, and it literally smells like petrol. Pure fossil fuels and felt nauseous. Tried washing this off me 5 times and it still lingers. I will stop writing know before I write a whole paragraph about how much I despise this fragrance.

This is a one for one spot on dupe for eccentric molecules 01 but for half the price and increased longevity. I sprayed this perfume this morning and I can smell it with the same intensity 7 hours later. I will most definitely be repurchasing this fragrance

i’m so picky with perfumes, and i usually get sick of them after a while, never with this. a part of the reason is that i can’t pinpoint what it smells like, i haven’t found a perfume that works well with my skin chemistry the way molecule 234.38 does.

This one smells a lot like the molecules 01 from escentric molecules, but it is sweeter and deeper than 01. I like it on others, but do not buy it as a blind buy. On me it has some rotten note in it, when I wear it, so I totally dont like it on myself

To me it smells exactly like the I Coloniali effervescent bath tablets. They colour your bath water turquoise and leave this fizzy marine fresh smell on your skin. This is the tablets I love so much in a bottle!

Funny but I couldn't smell it, nothing at all. After a few minutes I got it... peaches. I got a sample and I am curious to try it properly later on. I will be back...

This is way better than Escentric Molecules M1! I can actually smell it on myself. Clean, sexy and chic. Love it. Good for layering also
