OUD’ISH

A nice scent! The obvious note here is the ambergris and not the oud as you might think. There is also a soft and clean white musk in the distance. There is a strange sweetness in this perfume. In my opinion a scent that deserves to be tried, i find it a bit nostalgic and interesting. Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 8./10 Scent: 8/10 Overall: 8./10

I've been wearing this for 5 years after smelling it at a shop in Oslo. I have no idea what the notes are but it smells lovely. I would say I do get a bit of a woody smell though but not sure what else. The sillage is strong. I had a coworker tell me he could smell me as soon as I walked in the door.

I imagine fairy dust smells like this. At first spray it's magic but very subtle. It has this sweetness to it, but not from sugar, but from nature. Makes me feel like Tinker Bell. Too bad it so subtle and completely vanishes within an hour.

I don’t get why this is rated so poorly. I loved it and miss it. There’s nothing offensive about it. Mellow, clean, musky and woody.

Reviewing a sample from 2025. Oud'sh was launched in 2013. This is not an oud fragrance, rather this is all about ambergris and mineral musk. It is damp, soft and cloudy. The sea floor when the tide goes out. Faintly woody on the dry down but really no noticeable tea or oud. On me the ambergris comes off a bit salty and fishy. The marine accord is remarkable but this is not how I want to smell. Perhaps some watery florals or more detectable oud would help focus this fragrance and make it more wearable. Quality- 3.5/5 good quality materials but blending is unbalanced Unisex Performance -4/5 stays close but lasts This is an avant garde marine fragrance which has curiously been named Oud'Ish. It belongs with other similar marine scents such as Megamare and Sel marin. If those appeal to you then this should be sampled. Edit a few days later: I came across this interesting explanation which is relevant to add to my earlier review above. **Perfumer Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov was inspired to create Oud'Ish by an experience in nature. He stood on the beach and perceived the wind that was carried out from the land to the sea. This was full of aromas that he had absorbed from the forest. Scents of the forest floor that now mingled with the salty sea notes. This hint of damp earth is Zarko's oud mingling with delicate notes of green tea. Mysterious sparkling amber and soft musk permeate the composition. Coast, forest, beach and sea, rough wind and warm notes. A piece of Scandinavian coast in the most modern fragrance language.** 6.5/10

Okay so Oud can play tricks on us all, mutating into lots of complex, sub-categorized notes. Oud'ish I've no doubt contains oud but I can't say in manifests itself in a way I've smelled before. I found this to be more of the minimal, sterility I've encountered across much of the Zarko range but with a crucial difference...I actually like the way this smells. It's a curious woody musk with an odd quality (Which is perhaps the tea, the fact that I love a good tea note makes me no authority on it because again, Oud'ish doesn't make it easy to recognize. The one thing I do get when it dries down on my skin is a very creamy woods, almost sweet and vanilla like. It's very smooth and actually gives a warm dimension to what are largely cold, indifferent fragrances. I actually like this one but the performance was pathetic on me barely lasting an hour or two, this one might be worthy of further investigation.

I don't think that the Zarkoperfumes are suppose to be loud in any way. They are suppose to linger on your skin through out the day, occassionally providing "waves" of something good, something raw, something less sweet. Basically a skinscent that just melts into your skin. On me, Oud'ish is a soft, nordic forest. I get the musk and I get the green tea. Beautiful scent that I kept sniffing at. Yes, I could see this as a unisex scent, but a very, very soft scent for men. There's nothing harsh or heavy about this. So to all the women who tend to avoid unisex fragrances (like me) - go try it out, it's not the typical unisex scent and it is beautiful ud you like a more earthy scent.

Do like this. Normally I'm more in to Gourmand scents, but this somehow speaks to me. I have several from Zarko, and have previous owned more, but this one is like an enhancement of ones own skin. It smells clean, warm, fresh, comforting, it smells like a person that smells naturally nice, and not a person wearing perfume.

Unfortunately, I cannot smell this at all on my skin, except for about the first minute or two (which seems nice, but hard for my brain to describe what I am smelling). My husband can smell it on me, and thinks it's awful. I feel like it might be giving me a headache, and it irritates me that I cannot smell it, haha! I realised though that I can catch it on cloth and, after a good couple hours of a kind of vinegar smell (does it have the same note as "Superdose"?!), it actually becomes like the other reviewers describe it: a fleeting in and out of slightly woody, slightly sweet scent. I want to give it one more chance, but so far it's been a disappointing experience for me.

The sales associate and me did not smell anything. First we sprayed 6 spritz (!) into a tissue - nothing. Then another 4 on my arm - still kind of nothing. There was something softly musk-y sweet sitting on my skin but this is not worth purchasing at all for me. It does not work with my skin unfortunately...after 2h I can detect a slightly woody scent on my arm but it is so light and tiny bit sweet - after I dig my nose deeply onto my arm...disappointing. Needless to say that there is pretty much no sillage. I am happy about Wooden Chips - Molecule No 8 which is amazing. Smells like a sexy fresh forest. Makes me want to smell myself all the time.

This is a strange unisex scent. Sometimes I get something like coffee. Sometimes I get something like cedar. Definitely this scent does not contain oud. Ambergis is here but it's not the strongest note. This fragrance confuses me and I don't like it. Sillage is low-moderate and quickly becomes soft. The longevity is average. It has great versatility though. Verdict. I must try it again. It has the same philosophy as Escentric Molecules.

Being, I suppose, anosmic both to the musk and the ozones, all I get from this is a thin metallic rhubarb and a cold oily sweet something. While trying this and a few others from the same line (MOLéCULE No8, Inception) in a shop today, I assumed Oudish was a quiet Iso-E but I doubt it's even that. I am so jealous of Colin Maillard's experience *sighs*. I wouldn't wear this if they paid me.

Have you ever done wippits? This smells like nitrous tastes. Opening smells like a laminated Xerox of a tree. An AI woodpile. Drydown is barely perceptible musk. Meh.

I'm so glad I bought a decant. Smells like sour, wet socks. Same type of DNA Ménage à Trois has.

For me it's a no. The opening is quite lovely and smoky, but after few seconds it starts to smell like flower stems, fresh, aquatic, green and light, you definitely get the tea note. It is giving the smell of skin after getting out of a lake in the summer, but not in a good way, I personally don't want to smell like natural fresh water reservoir. Not a safe blind buy.

Zarkoperfume is a new niche line from Denmark which strikes for its minimalistic and simple aesthetic. They delivered five fragrances thus far all of which move in modern / avant-garde territories. Oud'ish is a potentially interesting composition that takes the daring theme already explored by Histoire De Parfums with its Petroleum and gives it the *minimalistic* treatment. What comes out is a restrained marine / mineral amber with woody and clean musky facets. It could have been a great fragrance if just they dared a bit more. Whereas Petroleum pushed on weird juxtapositions between the animalic musk and ozonic notes, between a thick amber and dark woods to give birth to what's considered by many an odd-ball, Oud'ish opts for restraint but what comes out is a sort of Petroleum-wannabe which isn't exactly what I classify as an accomplished composition. Potentially nice but not completely convincing. Again, too many brands bring nice ideas on the table but, somehow, most of them seem to lack the necessary courage to turn their stuff into something able to stand-out. With that said, if you like hyper-modern stuff, give this a chance. One can never know, right? Rating: 5.5-6/10

I really like this perfume. A lot of the reviews say, that sillage is low, but I think thats a misunderstanding. The scent is so gentle, that you can pour a lot on and still soon after, you cant smell it yourself. Its like with molecules 01. But dont be mistaken, because other people CAn smell you. To me it is only an advantage, that I cannot smell myself all the time, because that type of perfume tend to cause headache. This one melts onto your skin and turns into this lovely scent of a deep forrest in the summertime, and you can smell the earth, the nature and it is sweet and almost intoxicatingly beautiful. The kind of scent where you tend to think, maybe this is really that persons natural scent and not a perfume, and WOW that person smells great:-)

I bought this one recently, after falling completely in love with it in a shop. On me it smells exactly like it is supposed to, I think. It is soft, woodish and reminds me of a summer morning lying down on the ground in a forrest and the trees still have dew on them. This is the image I get. Absolutely unique scent. At the same time, this scent is so inoffensive, that you can pure 10 spritz on, and you still wont feel overperfumed. I get a lot of compliments for this one, and luckily not too many people wear it, so I still stand out with this one.

I Have Smaple ,THE NAME ON IT OUD ISH! I think this fragrance made for (Times of Romance) to much sensual! yes here you will found sensual musk note and very little touch of tea and metallic note, this fragrance hard to wear it in public.... i think some persons maybe hate it or love it please note: don't think ever you will find oud or amber this fragrance (sensual musk+little touch of tea and metallic note olny i hope my English well :)

I adore oud’ish. It’s a soft, slightly damp and warm - as if freshly steamed, cashmere scarf. It’s comfortable yet sensual. It is compelling and slightly masculine. It melts into my skin. However, it is very difficult to place the notes for me. It shares the ambergris with AnOther 13, the musc note is one i have not come across before. My nose does not pick up any oud, but i really love the woody base. No tea for me.
