Not extraordinary vanilla but lovely enough to fall in love. And also for non gourmand audience as it is not too sweet (I like that). Combination with violets is so cozy! At the start I smell a bit of incense, don't know where from - interesting as vanilla alone is so boring today isn't it? But as time pass, there is more and more violet. Must confess I miss cedre in it becouse I like it. Vanilla + violets - maybe sounds too simple. Will try again tomorrow with more sprays. It's not a loud perfume, but I can smell it clearly after almost 10 hours. Really nice, let say 8/10?

This one came in just recently. I read reviews, people were hyping it and so on. Disappointing. If you own the perfume Black Tie from Celine, you don’t need this at all. They are practically the same thing. It is a pretty basic Vanilla / Iris combo. In my opinion, believe me it offers nothing groundbreaking or new. I feel ripped off after buying it. If you can avoid this purchase, please do it.

I don't personally see the comparisons to Black Tie with this. Purchased a tester as I was hoping it would be more similar. It maybe smells like the dry down of Black Tie if you've been wearing it all day. This doesn't really have any of the powdery, buttery iris that makes Black Tie so fantastic. It's more of a boozy, slightly rubbery vanilla with a feint smoky cedar underneath. It's not bad by any means, but it doesn't have much in common with Black Tie to my nose.
