9/10. This is a masterpiece. A warm hug. A scent I wanna smell over and over. Zernell make's amazing fragrances. They are all blended so well and imo smell amazing. It would be extremely hard to chose my favorite, but if I was made to, this would be it. It is the one I probably wear the least but the scent I love the most. A deep, smooth and sugary molasses combined with a bit of chocolate and coffee is what I get. Wow. I spray this at night on my hand sometimes just so I can smell it for fun while I watch TV and turn down for the night. It is one of those intoxicating scents I always wanna sniff. It's just beautiful and fun. Do I want to smell like it everyday? No, probably not. It is more of a breakfast scent for me. A slightly cool sunday when it is raining and I am going to to brunch with my friends after a long night of partying. This centers me and makes me smell smooth, creamy and sugary. Hugs me like a warm cup of cappuccino with a hint of chocolate and half a shot of bourbon to give me some relief from the hangover I am having. It is definitely niche/unique and also pretty strong too (in a creamy and decadent way). So just don't spray too much, 2-3 is all you need here. Projection is just enough and longevity is long. This is not an ad. Don't hesitate on this one. If you are curious, buy the discovery pack, because all of his fragrances are phenomenal, but if this sounds up your alley and you have the funds, just buy it, you will not be disappointed.

This is a beautiful melody of a scent. The opening is inviting, reminding me of "bar scents" like jazz club or blue whiskey, but then it takes a heavier turn with the mahogany wood, only to be lightened up by the almond blossom note. Then again it goes heavy with a coffee note, lightened up by an apricot note. Then one last time it goes heavy with a molasses note (not as sweet as I expected) brightened up with a gentle magnolia note. This is an excellent fragrance that showcases how to do heavy notes right and is one of my favorite coffee note fragrances. Longevity is a solid 6-8 hours with sillage depending on the note and your body, but typically projecting just a few feet.

I can see how people would compare this to bad boy extreme the molasses is definitely prominent in the first 30 minutes I’m also getting a lot of the brandy and tons of the sweet coffee and oud This is definitely a unique smell, something you have to wear when you want to stand out Be careful spraying on your clothes, though this has a high oil concentration so it stains very easily. I wore a black hoodie and I had lines all up and down my hoodie but it’s amazing overall 9/10 for me

Wow ! What a gorgeous fragrance !! I ordered a sample online , not sure what to expect. Yet, here I am now in love with Blues. It has depth and is well balanced, long lasting and rich. There is something sweet yet woody about Blues and I cannot get enough of it. I have just ordered the whole sample set and am curious to see the rest of the brand.

A friend of mine gifted me the discovery set and Blues and Jazz are the two standouts in my opinion. I wrestled with which of the two I was going to purchase first and lo and behold it was Blues. I love a good sexy fragrance and that's what this is. Jazz will be my next purchase because it's darn good also.

reminds me of a light brown caramel color, not exactually sure the correlation there but the fragrance is so well blended its hard to make out individual notes, I would say that it is in the same world as by the fireplace, jazz club, or bois talisman, I just get that same woody, sweet boozy feeling, 9/10

LOVEDD, smells sooo good. a smokey sweet smell. would lovee to wear this at an office, a serious but still enjoyabale fragrance. leathery too and a little bit like tires :thinking: but i don't mind

It opens up sweet, woody, powdery, and musky. It feels soft, slightly scratchy, and fluffy like a quilt or a rug. There is a certain lightness I get to this, like I envision the color white. At this stage, the smell I get is like an almondy vanillic floral mostly. As it dries down, after a few minutes on skin, a caramelized brown sugared woody note becomes more prominent. But it doesn’t completely overtake the musky fluffball — it just sort of oozes alongside it. I wrote this review without looking at the notes and I’ve got to say, it does seem like they’re somewhat well named. It smells like fluffy almond blossoms and molasses to me, mostly. It comes across luxurious like an autumnal date night scent, and almost retro in effect. Leaning slightly too feminine for my taste, though. 7.8/10

Boozy and chocolaty coffee with a woody atmosphere. Has a warm presence and comes off cozy.

I am not typically fond of (overly) sweet fragrances, but Blues is an outlier. It's got a rich chocolatey boozy sweetness that I tend to find unappealing, but just works here. Even the dry down is a sweet Carmel coated experience that I actually enjoy. I'm also into vinyl and this might sound cliche, but when wearing this I genuinely get the feeling and image of sitting down with a glass of cognac listening to muddy waters or B.B. King. I've sampled several of Zernells fragrances, but this is the only one thus far that truly gives off the "musical scent" the house seems to be going for. One of my favorite house right now and my favorite that I've tried this far. I also really enjoy Jazz, Hip-Hop, and House, but Blues is THE fragrance from Zernell that I'm most fond of. Will be buying a full bottle at some point. 7.8/10

seductive and intriguing. i was able to sample this at luckyscent and my first reaction was to think of a dark brown color, warm, thick and syrupy. i felt myself in a warm and dark scene, buzzed on brandy, listening to melancholic blues music. i felt the heaviness of coffee and ebony wood balanced by magnolia, almond and apricot. the brandy note isn't overpowering and plays it's supportive role well. i kept sniffing the sample over and over again. it's my favorite from ZG!

Genuinely I would bathe in this if I could. Somehow it gets better every time I wear it Zernell is a mastermind.

Big, chewy, rich fall or winter fragrance. Not a lot to complain about.
