Disco

Came here to say that this smells a lot like a candy from my childhood, just to find the most recent review also mention the candy-like accord in this fragrance. I'm almost positive that it's Gobstoppers. I'll come back and give a more thorough review when I've had more time with the fragrance. Pretty good so far! Update: I still get a lot of sweet, hard candy from this. It's citrus- and vanilla-dominant to me, but with the other notes still noticeable. I just wish it was a bit darker or more complex. Richer tobacco or more spices, woods, or patchouli would improve what is otherwise an already fantastic fragrance. This is as mass appealing as it gets. No kidding, I've received at least one compliment every single time I've worn this. For his first fragrance, it's a banger. Congrats! I had to buy a full bottle. Also, it's great supporting a small, black-owned business. Looking forward to trying his future releases.

i find this to be one of the best independent releases i've smelled. I bought it in spring of 2022 - and have been waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before overspraying the heck out of this. it's a very unique take on tobacco - and a very unique scent in general. It has a warmth to it that makes it great for cooler weather. The note breakdown is weird to me. admittedly, i don't know the specific notes, but i don't find this to be a floral fragrance by any stretch of the imagination. Tobacco, tea, grapefruit, myrrh, amber - yes...but floral? no. The 3 votes that say this is a female scent = fake. Wear what you want - but i would find this strange on a woman. Either way - I really like this one and would encourage those who are interested to seek it out - while ignoring the clearly fake votes.

@ramsesII IF you are talking about me, I'd highly recommend you actually take the time and ask if I received it for free. Here are some facts: I never heard of this fragrance until I smelled it at an event earlier this year, as soon as I smelled it I wanted to own it (along with the multiple people at the event with me. The perfumer even had to leave and bring more to the event because he ran out), I paid full price for it, there was no exchange whatsoever, I've worn it multiple times, received multiple compliments, this smells similar to MCDI Invasion Barbare (and actually better in my opinion. I'll safely assume you've never smelled that), and I already own and tested more than 210+ fragrances. So it would behoove you to be a bit wiser when commenting.

Disco is my second offering from this House... that being said, without a shadow of doubt the best indie/underground fragrance company out today, and this man has another job and life lol it’s wild. The amount of love and attention poured into his scents you would swear he has clones but no it’s just him being amazing and pumping out gorgeous scents. Disco is warm, comforting, complex and beautiful I truly have a hard time describing it. I have an OG bottle of Gucci pour homme II and wouldn’t say they are the same or even in the same park but there is a complexity to both that center around tobacco other than that they are not the same. Gucci is my signature scent but disco might dethrone that. Bravo

I bought this while it was still very “indie”. I adore it. It’s a really addictive smell to me. I am female and I do find this leans masculine, but I wear it anyways. It’s very strong! It’s an extrait de Parfum I believe, and it behaves as such. I find it unique, and I’ve always wished it was on Fragrantica so I could see if it reminded people of anything. What I mostly get is like a dry tobacco (not a cherry tobacco) mixed with a dry black tea, and something kind of grassy and herbal and even a little powdery, but not like makeup or baby powder...more like the tea and tobacco were ground so fine they created a powder. I love this scent.

Who are the 3 losers that voted this down? 😆 This scent is straight fire. If you love complex but ultra unoffensive scents, this has to be on your shelf! A modern day warm Barbershop-lavender cream scent with balsams that evolves from fresh tea citruses to warm vanilla tobacco, and does a unique balancing act of being fresh, to warm woody, to vanillic, to dark ambery, to spicy. An addictive experience you don't want to end and totally a signature worthy scent as his site describes! This is reminisce of MCDI Invasion Barbare, grab this if you're looking for an wayy more affordable and long lasting take of it.

Disco Sucks! It reminds me of Detroit Rock City and Natasha Lyon being stuck in a car with a bunch of KISS fans, or that one episode of Freaks and Geeks where everyone finds out Nick likes disco. Moreover, it sort of smells exactly like that: a glittery dolled up disco queen all shook up. It's disco, but gritty. Because in the end Natasha Lyon kisses one of those KISS fans and Nick discovers his new identity. Whatever..DISCO ISN'T DEAD!! I guess

LOVE this. I wear this out on dates or when I go dancing and want to feel sexy and confident. I would say this is unisex, but leans slightly masculine. Reminds me of grape tums or some kind of purple candy if that makes sense, but not in an overly juvenile way? The lasting power is great as well and I can still smell it on myself the next morning. I'll probably end up getting a full bottle after I use up my sample, which is rare for me.

The sillage on this is incredible. Addictive even. I applied this on my neck at Scent Bar and went home...several hours later I kept getting a whiff of something fantastic. Finally realized I was catching my own sillage every time I turned my head. Warm citrus, with a slight spice of cedar, lavender and jasmine on my skin. Blended so no one note stands out. Joyful, sensuous and cheeky. I’m a fan.

This is Really good stuff, Signature Worthy Character, Fun but Grounded Enough to not be Abnoxious. Performance is good; 8 hrs with mild Sillage. It is Over priced and only tiny 30 ml available. Quality and refreshing uniqueness is definitely there. I Do not see any fair comparison. No resemblance to Drakkar Noir whatsoever. This is a sneaky hip scent. Test out a Decant, it may work for you.

would be a little steep for a 30ml bottle (164 AUD including shipping) if it wasn't one of my favourite scents of all time. vanilla tea with occasional whiffs of lavender, saffron, and citrus in the background. it's warm and fresh. performance isn't anything special, and i hesitate to say it's mass appealing enough for a blind buy. grab a sample first.

I can see the similarities in this and Gucci Pour Homme II. But this gives me Choward’s violet candy. It dries down and the sweetness is subdued and you get this soft spice in the background. It also reminds me of Le Labos Another 13 just a bit. This is a compliment getter for me. Men always remark on it and love the scent. One of my daily wears.

I was accidentally sent this as part of a larger order. What a pleasant surprise! I'd been looking for a solid tea scent and this makes me smell like a proper cup of Earl Grey, with a splash of milk. It's classy, comforting, and formal. A very well structured scent that stayed on me all day. Will pay for it someday :)

Instant love for me and expertly blended. Smells like a mix of Chowards Violet Candy with sandalwood, tobacco and lavender to me....gives me scent memories of this old head shop I used to go to in New Hope, PA. I only wish it came in a bigger bottle.

ugh it’s just absolutely perfect. disco is THEE tea scent for me in every way; it’s citrusy and fresh, and best of all it actually smells like tea instead of what somebody might think tea smells like. absolutely beautiful scent.

Initial impression, i definitely agree .. I get a candy almost sour candy nature to this fragrance, but its not juvenile to my nose. I like the counter balance with the non citrus notes in the background. Very pleasant scent.

Wonderful, new fragrance that fills a hole in my collection somewhere between Byredo's Eleventh Hour and CDG x Monocle Scent 2 Laurel. Different but familiar. Recommended!

unique and attention grabbing.

Kudos to the house and perfumer for creating something unique. I blind smelled this and it's blended so well I could only pick out saffron, unidentified citrus, and lavender. As it progresses, the tea and amber become more apparent, and the saffron gets progressively sweeter. I also pick up a hint of rubber. The sweetness brings to mind tiny hints of Oud For Greatness and BR540. There's even a hint of 19-69 Rainbow Bar in here. If I use my imagination, I can see a teeny tiny resemblance to Beau De Jour and Rochas, but there's absolutely no resemblance to Drakkar Noir or Invasion Barbare. I think this scent is for the wearer as it's kind of odd (niche) and will likely not be received with open arms (compliments) from the general public. Not saying the public will dislike it, but I think they'll be indifferent or just think it's a strange candy smell. I like it because I enjoy the art and uniqueness, but I'm not compelled to run out and buy it. If feels a unfinished. But regardless, it's a fun scent, and I'm enjoying my decant. Scent 6.3/10 Performance 6/10

This is an easy to wear fragrance. Smells fresh clean hints of citrus little bit of that musky vibe that you can get when you move around. I can see this easily worn by men or women Not a heavy scent at all. I would recommend use in the daytime definitely cool to hot weather. Non offensive. Not really groundbreaking either. I think would make good for layering. Definitely fresh and clean. Even though there is tobacco in the profile embrace it. This is like the tobacco that's in Ormonde Jaynne Montabac. Very fresh not an in your face tobacco leaf. It doesn't smell perfumey. After about an hour into the dry down you do get the Tea note predominantly. While there is saffron in It's not an in your face saffron. Like not a love need to spend more time with Definitely not gonna rate it below three and a half I would say this is a solid four out of five. Performance seems to be mid. And longevity on clothes seems like it'll have some some staying power. overall great scent!

Smells almost like the inside of a Lush store but in the best way possible. It's fresh, clean, aromatic, and bright. Dry cardamom with zingy bergamot and grapefruit with earthy lavender and fresh tea leaves. A very tame and tranquil tea heavy scent that becomes more grounded in the dry down with some resins and warm ambers, a touch of vanilla and patchouli. So lovely like every other Zernell scent

Like the ecstatic piano chords in the chorus of “Dancing Queen.” Unisex in the sense that, sure, there are male members of ABBA. Prismatic, appropriately (like others have said, it’s blended such that no one note steals the show). Dries a little too sweet for my personal taste, but a fabulous mood-booster.

Beautiful blend of tea, vanilla, warm spices, tobacco... and there is a sparkling note! I don't know which one but it's lovely. The jasmine, saffron, and cardamom are the star of the show here for me. Such a great scent :)

One time I was wearing this out and about at a show and a girl next to me asked what perfume I was wearing and she bought it on the spot because she loved it so much. One of the greats

Very interesting indie frag. Leans heavily male IMO. Strong lavendar and wood notes with a lilt of citrus. Not a FB buy for me but a good everyday for your guy.

A sweet tobacco and subtle spice with a tea note is unique and refreshing.

This perfume smells a bit too masculine for my taste. I prefer more feminine, womanly scents, and the harsh tea notes here felt a bit too 'manly' on my skin. However, I think it would be a great choice for a woman with a more masculine or edgy style.

Started with a really strong hay/crops note with a hint of amber, but after 30 minutes it transitioned into a tobacco/thai milk tea notes imagine you are dancing in a disco party in a barn back in the 70s. Really unique yet mass appealing.

I really don't get any tea. On my skin this smells like frosted flakes. I wish I got tea.

It is quite sweet and candied, almost venturing into bubble-gummy territory at the top. Heavy on the lavender, which needs a delicate hand to avoid comparisons to room spray / aromatherapy. Unfortunately I don't think it's my speed as a perfume. It's tough to balance brighter citrus notes with a vanillic base, and ultimately you are only getting a whisper of a tea aroma while those elements battle it out. I still class this as a pretty safe option, and there is definitely a vibrancy to "Disco" that I appreciate.

I was obsessed with this upon first sniff because of its sweetness, like a grape candy or soda, but on the dry-down it’s just too floral to me. It’s not to say that I think you shouldn’t get it. I simply have a real vendetta against floral notes. the longevity is impressive, but I have heard that the full bottle is very small for the price which adds to my reasons for not committing to it. I’ll keep a few decants on hand for the objective appeal that others would experience in my presence if I wore it out.

Came into this sample with zero awareness of the hype. I chose it based on the name alone as an impulse purchase because I like disco music, lol. I really enjoy the opening, but the dry down is just ok. Sometimes myrrh is problematic and gives me headaches. To my nose, the myrrh smells band-aid-y at first but then mellows out into a cozy warmth. I can see how people really like this. I like it in theory more than in practice and would enjoy smelling it on other people.

as usuall, I m still looking for the perfect Tea scent, i Thought this would be the one. after few days of wear, i decided that TEA is not for me. alot other brands also I disliked it. however this is the best out of many that i have in my collections. its smooth well blended sweet also. easy to wear.

If you're considering buying this: Sniff a tea bag of earl grey tea. If you wanna smell like that, buy this because it's pretty photorealistic. If not, would not recommend. It's pretty unbearably tea-smelling. Very fresh, tad bitter.

Hmmm idk man, based on the reviews I was expecting something spectacular. Even had some friends compare this to soul cafe saying this is better. Definitely not! This is heavy on the tea, its nice but nothing spectacular

THIS is niche perfumery! Citrus, vanilla, tobacco, and a hint of “marshmallow”. It goes through multiple transitions through the day. Superb performance. Complement getter. All of this at a price anyone can afford.

Sweet off the top and then settles into a well-blended, calming scent, mostly driven by the tea note. A pleasant smell, but it didn’t blow me away the way Jazz did. 7.5/10

Massive issue with this scent!!! The bottle is way too small for me. I will use this up in no time. Hopefully he comes out with 60 or even 100ml. Fantastic scent.

I was testing this at Scent Bar and thinking like which fragrance this reminds me of. I finally found out that it is Gucci Pour Homme II. Bought it!

There’s definitely an IB vibe in the top and as it dries down it morphs into GPH2 with a hint of grape candy. It’s bloody lovely.

How has no one mentioned that this is a dead ringer for Gucci Pour Homme II? It is really well done!
