Sà di Bacio

Very interesting fragrance. I’m surprised I like this. I haven’t tried many cherry fragrances since cherry reminds me too much of cough and cold medicines. The cherry here is not syrupy or medicinal. It gives the perfume the right amount of fruitiness mixed with the almond and tonka. The incense adds a little bit of smokyness. The ambroxan and benzoin add a little freshness. It’s a little sweet, but not gourmand. And I wouldn’t classify it as a fruity scent either. When I smell it up close there’s something that’s almost leather like, but it’s not there in the air. There really isn’t any other fragrance I can compare this to, it’s pretty unique. Not a safe blind buy, but if you can get a sample it is worth trying. It’s unisex, and I can see it being worn in the fall and cooler summer days. Edit: the dry down is giving me something Erba Pura esque, but it is no where near as strong or fruity as EP. I don’t like Erba Pura because of the pineapple and woodiness, but I do enjoy this quite a lot.

Sa di Bacio wants to give a scent to what kisses are, giving the sceptre of queen to the note of cherry, delicate, just slightly hinted at and accompanied by the bitterness of almond and delicate talcum aromas. If I had to picture an image, it would be a breath of sweet olfactory notes, a breeze that brings sweetness but also sensuality.
