Happy Oud

This is not my usual scent profile as it leans a little more masculine but I have to say that it's been a while since I was so enamoured with a perfume. The name happy "oud" is very misleading as the oud is so well blended with the leather and woody notes with a touch of smokiness. It's a fragrance I can see a person with boss attitude would wear. Definitely commands respect. Gives off Nicholas Cage ghost rider vibes. Not a safe blind buy. Look at the notes and if this is your kind of kick @ss style try it out. I repeat don't blind buy!!!!

Despite the name, this is definitely not a clone of oud for happiness by initio. This has a strong, semi-skanky, dark woody oud, with a beautiful touch of leather and some hints of tobacco and patchouli. This is a very middle eastern style of fragrance, that smells way more expensive than its price tag. If you're into masculine oud fragrances, this is a great fragrance to try. I love this scent, but I don't recommend blind buying, since it can be very divisive. 9.6/10 imo

asked ChatGPT if it's a dupe of any other ones. It's not a dupe of oud for happiness by initio. So then I went to LV and it's closest to Ombre Nomad. My dream cologne. And I have fulfilled my goal for pretty much 95% off of its pricetag (870 AUD). I feel like it smells stronger as well, so that's a plus. 10/10, I don't know much else to say.

Great perfume for me. Although the initial alcohol blast is a bit annoying but after 5 minutes it goes away. Dries down really nicely! Lasts around 6-8 hours. For me it’s closer to OFG with a bit more earthiness. Still great value for money!

Nice leathery smell. NOTHING in common with Oud for Greatness or, even more, Oud for Hapiness. Absolutely nothing. It is not a clone for any of them and may remind only the presentation. Who votes for that similarity does very bad job.

Updated review. I repurchased this in 2025 and they’ve sorted out the initial alcohol blast from my initial 2023 purchase! Great perfume for a great price

All I get is a pungent oud-note that is pretty harsh and off-putting. Animalic too. Nice bottledesign but this fragrance is not for me. * I do like oud the way it is done in Afnan supremacy in Oud, but not this.

Great scent with bad performance. At first spray it's a sweetness, which, after 15 minutes, is gone and beautiful leather goes in, after next 5 minutes slightly sweet oud, with a hint of smokiness. 75% is leather, the other part is smoky sweet oud (with a bit of sweet notes) and tobacco. And that lasts for the rest of this fragrance life. Four sprays on two spots of the tshirt can be detected for 48 hrs. Than it's gone. The scent is beautiful, stays on clothes quite well, but projection and scent trail are unfortunately not there. It's in the category of 'Initio oud for greatness' genre, without saffron, less sweet but with leather. Smells manly, classy, elegant, and much more expensive. It has some fresh and airy vibes too. That makes it comfortable fragrance you would like to smell all day long. Women like it. Unfortunately It lacks projection and that's the reason i will be giving it back. It can be detected only when someone hug you inside, not in the open air. Maybe 20 sprays would do the job. It was sitting somewhere for a year. I don't think maceration will help. If there is something like this with better performance and similar price range i will definitely give it a try. Bought from Notino in November 2024. Batch: HPO/2647/13439 Production date: 11/23 Update: I found that French Avenue Cocoa Morado is very similar with a way better performance in terms of projection. Scent profile is 95% close but Cocoa Morado is more rich and thick.

I think this is a wonderful fragrance, but the rubberized cap ruins it for me. The cap stinks like hell! As soon as I open the box, it smashes me in the face. I thought it was the fragrance itself, but it's not. I'm smelling that stinky rubber cap. When I spray it, I can tell what I'm supposed to smell, and intermittently I do smell this glorious scent, but then I once again start smelling that stinky rubber; What a shame. Edit: I was wrong about the cap. It isn't rubberized. It's hard plastic. I guess what I'm smelling is an actual note. I left the cap off and will let the bottle sit for several months to see if this stinky rubber note goes away. If not, I'll have to trash it, which will be the first time I threw a fragrance in the garbage.

With this, I got exactly the same story as with the "Lattafa Shabaab". Initial thoughts: Leather. Burnt tire and horse. On an extreme level. That's all. Nothing else I feel. Just like "Qaa'ed Al Shabaab" by Lattafa. Is it really happy? No. Is it sweet? No. It's dark and gloomy? Yes. Only for smoke-leather fanatics! Overall: I have tested both at the same time. One on my left hand, the other on my right hand. "Happy Oud" has a very similar scent profile, but 'Shabaab" is NICER. With more power and beauty, details and higher "resolution". I like both on the air but I recommend rather the "Lattafa Qaeed Shabaab".

Initio fragrances are a 1:1. Pretty hard to clone due to the ingredients used to create them. If you don’t have the money to buy them which is the part that hurts to say the most, skip buying clones. Some say they are close to the OG and they really are not at all. I own both clones and the OG and can tell you for a fact they are similar but nothing close. Save your money and buy the real deal or buy something else.
