Impulse Oud

I can't say anything about Oud Satin Mood as I don't have it and haven't had the pleasure, however, I have had this Zimaya fragrance for over a month and I also bought 2 x 70ml MFK Oud Silk Mood's on a deal recently to give as gifts to others but decided to open one to check it out hence here's my opinion. They are both strong but not interfering rose fragrances. You can wear each of them without being too rose forward offensive as some may think. I sprayed the Zimaya 3 times on my left arm and straight away after I sprayed the MFK Oud Silk Mood 3 times on my right arm. An hour later they are both still very much present but the Zimaya is stronger and it is just more apparent. And there is no difference to my nose on the fragrance properties. No synthetic blast or anything other than the naturals. Would I pay the money to buy MFK genuine again? No. Because this one cost me £10 UK money cost equivalent. How the heck did they manage to manufacture or synthesize artificial rose out of this I really don't know but to me it's fantastic. I still love OSM and I will feel great to give them both to my friends as they are fantastic fragrances that everyone respects but I know that I will have the better one in my collection that is effectively at least 1/20th of the cost. Amazing for being able to create this masterful fragrance at an absolute bargain price. I still can't work it out but I really don't need to as it just works so I accept that and I just know that my friends will be happy. But if they smell my arm compared to theirs later they'll think their MFK is good but mine is stronger and I'll just tell them its down to skin chemistry. It's a fantastic piece of sorcery. And as a bonus the bottle is as beautiful as the original, obviously a bit larger due to the 100ml compared to the 70ml, (which is another added bonus in terms of quantity) it's just a different colour (green) with a detailed heavy jeweled bottle top. I can't get my head around it but it's just a very welcome freak of fragrance.

Elegant, well blended, not complex, feminine perfume. I was hoping this to be masculine BUT definitively leans to the feminine side. My wife love it for herself at the first sniff. The rose, violet, vanilla and the very mild oud note (we also perceive a faint jasmine / herbal note below), make this perfect for a woman 30+, to use it at the office or a formal occasion, but also nice and simple to be used almost daily for a woman 40+. Longevity on her clothes: 8+ hours, Strong sillage: 2+ hrs, with 4-6 sprays. Is NOT a blind buy, specially for younger women. I'm into very strong oud, incense, vintage and old school perfumes (I'm in my late 50s) so, and the comments made me think that that note would be very present in this perfume, but in my opinion, the oud here is very well hidden and contended with the rest of the notes, so I don't perceive a clear masculine side. Perhaps with time and maceration, the oud note will become more prominent. If so, maybe I'll try to use it and I'll come back to make an update.

Wow this is gorgeous! It's smoky, incense-y, spicy, warm(ing) and smooth. I agree with spartaksci, it's very well blended and can't smell any alcohol. Lots of rose with benzoin, oud(not a harsh oud) and a hint of violet. In the dry down I keep smelling like a citrus or bergamot like note and more wood. Def unisex. Quite strong projection/sillage, not sure about longevity yet. If you are considering buying this; you really have to love very strong smoky, rose incense with this one. If you like light subtle crisp clean stuff, this is not it. I love this, to me this scent gives me abandoned churches, angel statues, dark romance, neoclassical, winter landscapes. It screams dark and sexy (female) goth/witch/warlock to me. Amazing fragance for winter. Hah blown away! :-D

Heavenly scent! I’m not an expert in perfumes whatsoever even if I have a huge collection of them, but this is THE ULTIMATE SCENT. It’s my 2nd bottle and I just received 2 backups! It became my signature scent and I don’t have intention of changing it. It’s a smooth, well blended, smells extremely high quality, unique, longevity and projections are way above average. A huge compliment getter (at least in my case) and it’s 20€ 😱 It’s a confidence statement perfume, mature, dark, sophisticated. I tried OG side by side and honestly I prefer this one, OG on my skin is not as nearly as good as this one.

I don't remember how OSM smells, so I can't compare. What I can say is that this is good. At first, it's kind of different, or it smells cheap, but something happens and then you start to smell really good. The musk and rose stay, projecting. I think I have to wait to test it out more properly in two weeks or so, then wear it for a whole day. I came here to give an update — so far, no regrets👌🏻 20 days after and can confirm, this is REALLY GOOD, the more I wear the more I Iove it😍, ❤️ I have to say that to me, leans much more to female side ❤️

Great alternative to MFK Oud Satin Mood. Not a perfect dupe of it, more of a friendly priced interpretation of it. The oud and other notes sit in the back more, for me it’s mostly a powdery-jammy sweet rose, with a soft backing of oud. Longevity and projection is massive, I can smell it clearly after 12 hours. I would say it also can be worn in the spring, carefully sprayed. Overall it’s a great rosey-powdery-oud scent.

Review fresh out of the box: Very powdery, ambery, with soft sweet-rose touch in the background. Projects like a beast. Will update its drydown and longevity later. Edit 10 days later: Rose is slightly more prominent now. I think this perfume will develop further with maturation. Will update again. Beastly projection and longevity already.

This one is really good. Upon first spray it’s super strong and harsh, but not bad by any means. The dry down is beautiful. When I first sprayed it on myself, I walked passed my mom and she goes woahhhh you smell really good. I asked her what she smells and she said “really prominent cotton candy”

Banger for the price. These clone houses are getting absurdly good at recreating niche scents lately. No synthethic open, no alcohol smell, no unbalanced notes, smooth from the get go. Great performance. That's all i gotta say.

What does wealth, prosperity, and opulence smell like? "Impulse Oud"? Better "Opulence Oud". I have to say upfront that I don’t know the original Oud Satin Mood by MFK. But I can say that Zimaya should have renamed this one to “Opulence Oud”. This is an incredibly strong, opulent fragrance that, to me, is the perfect symbol of female wealth from the 1960s. It immediately reminds me of Norma Desmond from the film Sunset Boulevard. Very few fragrance concepts create such a clear image: female prosperity and opulence —a very wealthy woman in her 50s who has had her entire estate designed by a professional interior designer. What does it smell like? Impulse Oud is an insanely powerful, opulent rose-violet fragrance with an extremely powdery rose. Highly elegant, strongly projecting, very classic (“old-school” women’s perfume), and to my nose 100% feminine. The rose is accompanied by a powdery sweetness, but I wouldn’t attribute it to amber or benzoin. Personally, I don’t really detect amber or benzoin in this fragrance—mostly that rose-violet combination with powdery sweetness and massive projection. I don’t notice big changes throughout the wear. Maybe it will evolve over time, but it stays very linear with that rose-violet-powder accord—which is exactly what makes it such a special fragrance for very special moments. Sillage & Longevity? The sillage is immense. Longevity is easily 12 hours with very few sprays. Performance-wise, this is one of the strongest fragrances iny my collection. For who is it? For me personally, this is clearly a women’s fragrance—and from the old school, in the vein of Chanel. But since I’m more than confident in my masculinity, I’d have absolutely no problem wearing it. In fact, as a man I’d wear it on very specific occasions with a suit—or a tuxedo, a blazer, elegant shoes: weddings (my own or friends’/acquaintances’), galas, the opera, or a high-end restaurant to celebrate something special. To me, this is a fragrance a man wears on rare, significant occasions. I’d also wear it on a third date with a woman you’re getting to know. From experience, I know that fragrances with a clearly feminine lean—especially those with rose or a fruity-sweet musky vibe—tend to get the most compliments from women. The only men’s fragrances that are still unbeaten for compliments for me are Creed Aventus and Mancera Black Gold.

In the first few minutes before it settles it is pretty loud. There is a slight smell of alcohol and its pretty screeching. But, after that first few minutes (and I really mean few, around 1-3 minutes in) it settles into the beautiful Rose, Violet, and Oud fragrence that it is. I get a nice and very jammy rose with some light freshness (as in its not overly sweet like I find OSM to be on my skin) as well as a slight powdery character. Also maybe im crazy but I swear I detect hints of strawberry off my skin which is in the original OSM edp's note break down but not in Impulse Oud's so perhaps I am just imagining it. In terms of performance this projects like a beast (maybe more than OSM?) and the longevity is very good. Anymore than 4 sprays of this even on a extremely cold winter night is nuclear. 1-3 if not 1-2 sprays seems like the sweetspot to me, even with the just meh atomizer. In terms closeness its hard to say. In the air almost identical, on skin maybe only 85%-90%. However, that being said, I prefer this to Oud Satin Mood. Its more wearable as its fresher and less powdery. Still very much close, but Zimaya definitely tried to improve the DNA. Edit: dont really detect the harshness much anymore. Also total longevity right out the box was around 10 hours give or take on my skin, now, maybe leaning more into that 12-15 hour mark on my skin, remaining noticable for the vast majority of that time. In short, very much a more wearable Oud Satin Mood alt, and in my case, out right replacement, especially considering the price point. I got mine for around 19.99, and honestly, might wear daily since it fits my vibe.

I have never smelt Oud Satin Mood, so I'll just try to describe what this smells like. Initial impression after spraying it for the first time (I'll come back in a few weeks and update this): First off, I feel like I have smelt this on someone else before, and that may have been Oud Sating Mood, as Arabian perfumes aren't really that common where I live. It smells like a rose-oud, but with a fresh twist - either like the green parts of a rose, or like bergamot. It's a very slightly sour greenness - to me, it kinda reads like pine. If you have ever smelt Rose d'Arabie by Armani Privee, Velvet Rose by Joe Malone or Sheik Al Sheila from Swiss Arabian, that would be more of an evening rose-oud. Zimaya Impulse Oud is a day-appropriate oud due to the freshness. To me, it's like a gothic version of a fresh scent: almost like a dry flower freshie. Somehow it also slightly reminds me of a less gloomy version of Gris by Dior / Maison Alhambra Grise. I imagine they could be layered (I'll try and update you on that too). Gris/Grise has a very strong gloomy vibe, so if that's too much for you, this may be a better choice. So, to sum up, this smells like something in-between Rose d'Arabie and Gris.

Just Oud bomb with soft Roses and slightly powdery background. It’s not leaning feminine or masculine, it’s perfectly unisex.. also compliments magnet 🤭🖤 It’s sillage above the average before aging 😅 . Yesterday I returned home after about 6 hours. My mother was waiting for me, and when she saw me, she immediately commented on my perfume, saying it was very strong and that she had been smelling it very clearly since I entered, even though the distance between us was considerable. So it’s 10/10 for a dupe fragrance Also i have MFK Oud satin mood and it’s beast mood which annoying for some people but that’s not . My favorite rose fragrance available for men! It can lean feminine so you need to have your act together to even think about pulling this off. Even thought it's inspired by Oud Satin Mood EDP by MFK. This one has a lot more Rose toned wayyyyy up and toned down oud, almost none. Very very long lasting, can almost be too long lasting in certain situations. It's sweet rose, it is very linear, doesn't change a whole lot but what it is, is very good!

I wore it and got told I smell like I'm wearing "arab perfume". Take that as you want. I do like it and do think it's very similar to Oud Satin Mood. Not harsh. Well blended. I would even say it smells... clean. More of a nighttime scent.

Really screechy for a few minutes but dries down to a strong beautifull rose, can be a bit nausiating so carefull with sprays

This is too strong! Literally a room filler with couple of sprays and it stays...it stays...and it stays. All I get is BG rose and incense, so definitely not for men. It leans very much towards women. Longevity is amazing as well. Sprayed on my wrist and 8-9 hours later was still smelling it. Would not even try it on clothes! Definitely not a blind buy! But is extremely cheap...

I would say this is a weird medicinal powder on me. The dry down is ok. Maybe needs time to macerate. I do not get any of the beautiful notes mentioned. Just soapy, medicinal powder.

First impression, haven't smelled oud satin mood so I can't compare them. To me this is the clearest rose note that I have smelled (so far) from my mostly blind buy middle eastern frag collection. Most of the time I'm like "well I guess that could be rose" when I smell a rose centric perfume, but this is like clearly rose to me. Elegant, classy, confident, grown up, perfumey. I'd say it's a little risky for a blind buy because It's so strongly rose and I can see how some would say that it's "old lady" or some kind of mature scented rose soap... But if you like _rose_, give it a try. It's a little bit challenging, not gonna lie, but that also makes it interesting to me. Not an easy reach/grab and go type of scent! I can't stop sniffing my hand and trying to figure this one out :'D The oud is there but in the back, I maybe wouldn't even pick it up as oud if I didn't know the notes. I get a little violet also. On paper in the opening is was more candied violet, but drying down on my skin it's not as sweet. There is still some sweetness, but as a whole on my skin it smells a little deeper and "moodier" than on paper. During the first 10-ish minutes there is something a little sharp or artificial smelling, but it dies down with time and I think it'll sort itself out when the bottle has had time to sit for a while (i'll try update). To me this is feminine leaning, but a confident man could maybe rock this if they enjoy rose and some sweetness. I feel like this is a fragrance for an dressed up event, or maybe and intimate dinner (moderately sprayed) in a classy restaurant, dressed in darker colours and looking your best.

I picked up both this and Paris Corner Oud Satin to expand my rose-oud repertoire, and so far, I think I prefer this. The violet note is far less aggressive here compared to Oud Satin, and while it's still quite powdery, the scent is overall well-rounded. I'm beginning to feel like the Oud Satin Mood DNA might be a little too feminine-leaning for my tastes, but I can see myself wearing this every now and again when I want something elegant and 'purple'. Update: I must also mention that the projection of this is quite massive. One spray on my hand was enough to create a decently-sized bubble which, interestingly enough, was perceived by my housemate as masculine-leaning. This has become a bit darker and less powdery over time as it's matured, as has Oud Satin.

The longevity on this is fkg crazy, when you put it on in the morning by the time you came home, took a shower and went to bed at midnight you can still smell it on your skin in your bed 15+h later. DON'T SPRAY CLOTHES. Projection is crazy as well. The scent is sweet rose, curch incense and sweet dry pastry. The scent is feminine and borders on being unwearable for me as a man, but I can just about pull it of. It opens feminine and drys down unisex. This is not an oud fragrance.

Top notch, I originally wanted oud satin Paris corner as I smelled it before, but it was out of stock so I thought I'd try this. excellent choice, extremely addictive. smells slightly better than our satin id say, the amber gives it a bit more depth. Great sillage, lasts about 6 hours on skin for now, I'm hoping it'll get up to 8+ as time goes by. Very highly recommend, got it for 35 after tax and shipping at fragrancex. Edit: after a week or so it lasts 8hrs

I chose this over other clones because according to the note lists this one seems to have an extra strong helping of benzoin. I was not disappointed! To me this scent is primarily rose and benzoin. It's a beautiful combo. For some reason the combo of Turkish and Bulgarian rose smells like dark fruit, almost like a plum jam kind of thing Nabeel Ya Ghali is the same way. Speaking of Ya Ghali, Impulse Oud is kind of similar, but a more gentle restrained version.

I remember my grandma used to have this wooden flacon of a Bulgarian Rose perfume and this is exactly that nostalgic grandma rose scent...this is not blind buy safe unless you're a rose fanatic...I'm not sure if I can wear this...it reads mature...on the positive it is a very well blended super sweet smoky powdery rose with a very prominent benzoin and very strong...for now I'd say this isn't my style... Edit: This rose scent grew on me. Love.

The closest to oud satin mood I’ve come across..literally 1:1, but I love this more! What this smells like fresh out the box, oud satin mood takes weeks/months to get to that! Don’t get me wrong, the OG is good, but what it dries down to, is what i absolutely love! It just takes 2-3 hours to get there!! lol Impulse Oud is like that straight out the box!

Absolutely adore this scent currently, didn’t like it at all first smell, far too aggressive and strong in the opening but I always found myself wanting to smell it more. 4 sprays and you’re good for 15 hours no joke, make sure to layer with though, I go with a vanilla/cinnamon/oud mix, also I genuinely do prefer this to it’s original mfk satin mood.
