Oud Is Great

Got this a few months ago. AFTER getting this, I smelled Oud for Greatness.. It is similar to that, but one thing I want to point out that nobody talks about: this fragrance, Oud for Greatness and maybe other OfG clones - all are similat to an older fragrance I have had for a long time now : Nuit d'Issey (the edt)... It is not the same, but in the dry-down of the Issey Miyake there are a lot of similarities to these hype beasts. Apart from that, this smells great - it's dark, with a modern woods overload, noticeable patchouli and saffron notes.. Great for dressing up when it's under 25*C outside. Performance is stellar, although when I got it the smell and the performance was a little bit off.. Had to leave it a little over a month to macerate Hope this helps! Cheers! EDIT: After wearing this more, I have to say that even though it lasts forever, it does not project that much... The good thing is that I smelled the Lattafa and, even thought it performs better, that goes with a much harsher opening than this one. EDIT: Last night's experience with this one: Went to a concert... Put this on at 5pm... 8 sprays : 2x1behind each wrist, 2xbehind ear, 2xside of top, 2xsleave of top... 15 min in and I could not detect it... I was sure I went nose blind to it, even though that generally is not an issue for me.... I went with my pop and he could smell it very clearly - noticed it wright away, but still nothing for me... Came home, worked for a few hours and then went to sleep.. When I woke up this morning it was pumping off me like crazy... I don't like fragrances that I can't smell, even though this one smells very good when you can pick it up.. But at least I know it performs well

Sono rimasto colpito la prima volta che ho sentito Initio OFG per la sua originalità. Distinguibile e riconoscibile lontano un miglio. Uno di quei profumi senza mezze misure. Lo odi o lo ami, ma siccome è troppo costoso ho provato quasi tutti i cloni arabi economici. Questo zimaya è sorprendente per il prezzo. Uno dei profumi preferiti della mia collezione e che mi piace di più odorare dal tappo. Peccato che sia poco performante. Da un lato però è un fatto positivo poiché quasi tutti i profumi moderni nelle linee "intenso, concentrato, estratto" etc etc usano le solite molecole che rendono i profumi tutti uguali, pesanti e disgustosi. Molto meglio questo del suo analogo Lattafa. Mentre Oud in Afnan Supremacy è troppo dolce per i miei gusti. Il mio preferito è lo Swiss Arabian Shagaf Oud Royale. Un buon rapporto qualità prezzo anche se un po' diverso con una nota di patchouli dominante rispetto a quella di oud (ovviamente tutti sintetici, e nutro dei dubbi che anche l'originale ne contenga)

I need ya'll to gatekeep this. I smelled oud for greatness yesterday and when i smelled this one it is for sure a 1:1 and definitely stronger. Guys, PLEASE GATEKEEP THIS like genuinely it's the best 20-30 USD fragrance in my opinion. like don't hate on me nor this fragrance cuz like dude f*ck man this thing is gorgeous. by the time i got to university 3 dudes hugged me and said 'you smelllll gooooood mannnn' like i kid u not they turned gay HAHHAAHA but pls gatekeep this

Isn't it strange with all the different comments and differing experiences when evaluating colognes, well anything for that matter? I agree and disagree with certain comments but as mentioned everyone has different tastes etc. I have had the Afnan, Lattafa and Alhambra Oud for Greatness clones and love the opening of Oud is Great and on my skin emits strongly and out-performs better than the others.

Smells great with moderate performance. For the price it's great. Gave mine away, haven't used it that much the past couple of years.
