Rabab Gems

Zimaya Rabab Gems is a unique freshy. I get that this is a clone fragrance, so calling it unique might seem odd. Allow me to explain,. When thinking of a "freshy" scent, we think of certain notes (citruses, fruits, greenery, light florals, and aquatic notes). This fragrance profiles achieves "freshy" status outside of those expected notes. Sure, you can smell the pineapple, but the pineapple in this fragrance actually serves to darken the fragrances fresh, powdery, airy quality to it. What uniquely makes this fragrance fresh is, instead, a very classy, powdery musk, along with a very BRIGHT pink pepper. A very luxurious smelling blend of florals from Hyacinth, and Iris lift the fragrance further, until you feel like your head is floating in the clouds, kissed by the warm ambery sun (and yes.... I am eluding to the amber in this fragrance). This perfume takes notes that would normally ground, smooth-out, and deepen a fragrance, and accomplishes this fresh lifting effect with them... The light touches of vetiver, and patchouli are what I think help accomplish this. Which, is again, somewhat confusing, since both of these notes CAN be dark, and rich, depending on the take of them. In this fragrance, the perfumer chooses to use a sweeter, lighter Patchouli. They also choose a more green, and airy take on the Vetiver. UNEXPECTED, is what I get from this perfume. I looked at the note breakdown of this, before buying, and in my mind, I could already smell it. I was excited to receive it and actually experience the fragrance. I was EVEN MORE excited, when I experienced the scent in person, and smelled the take that this perfumer chose for each individual note. I expected a rich, earthy, ambery, deep wood smell, with accents of florals, some vanilla, and a bright, citrusy pineapple. What I got was this etherial, airy, luxurious cloud of florals, lifted by bright patchouli and vetiver, deepened by a rich, syrupy pineapple, and wrapped in a complex blanket of vanilla bean, amber, and a pleasantly overstated pink pepper. This is the fragrance you wear, when you want to intrigue people to lean in, and talk with you, just so they can continue experiencing, and trying to understand the luxurious, complex fragrance radiating from you. It is not a party scent, or a crowd pleaser. It is a fragrance that draws out those out from the crowd, who are tired of the norm, and are looking for something unique, intriguing, sophisticated, while still remaining flirtatious, and playful. Put this on, experience it, and allow yourself to be experienced.... You just might find your day.... full of the unexpected. Enjoy it... I give this 2 thumbs up (a third if I had one)

On my skin, it opens with a pleasant burst of pineapple before smoothly transitioning into a watery, fresh green accord wrapped in soft vanilla sweetness. It sits close to the skin, creating a beautiful and understated scent bubble. I tend to overspray this one and there are times when I can barely smell it on myself only for it to suddenly reappear throughout the day. It can definitely cause nose blindness, but make no mistake: it lingers for a long time and has impressive staying power.

After a few months I can definitely say that I love this. I also love the Xerjoff Accento! It's similar, maybe 90%. I find it powdery and addictive. Unissex. My boyfriend also loves it.

I really liked this when it first came in, but I still put it away to see what a month or so would do. I am trying it again, and I seem to like it less than I did originally! Usually it goes the other way around with these middle eastern fragrances, but this one seems to have become more sharp and chemically smelling. How odd! It’s reminding me of the solution they used in the salons when giving a perm. I can smell something pretty underneath the chemical mess that I wish would come to the forefront. Right now, it is reminding me somewhat of Ana abayed and orienticas amber gold (which are Erba Pura dupes I can’t seem to find appreciation for.) but this is more pleasant. Maybe this is part of the process, but I don’t smell what others are smelling in some of these fragrances. I’ll keep it for a bit longer to see what happens but this one is a bit of a strange one for me! 2/15/26- revisiting this and yes the initial spray is still a chemically mess when it first comes out of the bottle, but in seconds on the skin it does transform. I don’t get as much of the Erba Pura vibe I used to get. This is much less sharp. I can almost get a very faint tropical scent way in the background. It’s getting better, but boy, it’s been a journey with this one! I still think it needs a month or so more before this completely smooths out. I haven’t smelled the original so I can’t speak to resemblance.

Tried this one and blue Rabab, both of them have something headache inducing, making me nauseous, really horrid smell. Gems smells floral and little fruity and then it all gets eaten by that stench. Same with the blue one, except it's only fruity. Very very disappointed, but I assume the original Xerjoffs smell the same, judging by some reviews describing something similar. So I guess they're good clones..

What is it? On a website for perfume enthusiasts? This is so sad! A gross imitation, even including the bottles, I'd rather wear a cheap cologne, sports fragrance or just deodorant than support this and other similar "brands". The creation of perfumes and flacons is an art, who would outline a painting by Picasso and hang it proudly on the wall?

I have had this fragrance for eight months now and it is not my cup of tea. At first I thought it had potential because the pineapple gave it some depth, but after a few days, all the juicy pineapple dissipated. All I get now is an overdose of hyacinth with some pink pepper and iris mixed in. Big no for me.

All I want to know is if this is a good dupe for Accento (Sospiro or Xerjoff, whatever you know it as, it’s made by the same person). Sospiro Accento was gifted to me a few years ago and it instantly became my signature. Unfortunately, it’s too expensive to afford as a signature scent, as I’d be going through bottles way too quick. I want to buy this in its stead, pls help me out 🥲 is it an accurate clone to the original?

This smells exactly like how the bottle looks; like a luxurious velvet cloud of heliotrope, musk, iris and jasmine. I smell some raspberry in the opening too. Purple is the perfect color for the bottle. It's unisex, leaning towards feminine. Very special and comforting. Subdued and soft.

Either I have a bad batch or I have terrible sense of smell... this one smells so chemical and headachy. Like gasoline smell that never leaves from start to end mixed with floral and rotten pineapples... cannot stand it, even after months of maceration

@daphnedove WendyWise Beauty just said on YT that this is a complete mess of notes that fight each other, and the frag doesn't really go anywhere. I am thinking of trying the Philos maybe.
