Reverie Petals

This is not a dupe of whatever you're buying it instead of. HOWEVER, it is a beautiful, feminine, woody musky floral. I would put this in the world of the DBIR, Paradoxe, Voce Vivas and such, but as a flanker. No patchouli, no vanilla, no neroli, nothing polarizing or challenging. This is the easy going, easy to love, unproblematic sister of the bunch. If DBIR were to put out their version of Paradoxe Virtual Flower, it would likely smell a lot like Reverie Petals. I do not want to understate how pretty this scent is. It really only benefits from comparison so you can understand the kind of floral scent it is. However, she truly stands on her own. She is incredibly versatile and dries down to a scent i just love getting wafts of. She has presence but isn't loud or overbearing, and creates a pleasant and satisfying aura. If you're looking for a heavy, indolic jasmine, you wont find it. If you're looking for a deep and lingering vanilla, completely absent. If you're looking to smell beautiful and leave a captivating scent trail, check this one out. But understand, you are not getting a dupe. And remember, the brand never told you that you were... someone else's highly subjective opinion did.

A beautifully done fruity floral! This just came in the mail today and I am always pleasantly surprised when a Middle Eastern perfume does not need maceration or any special care - it is just ready to go! I will add this to my late summer tray, as the current heatwave in Europe is preventing me from using anything other than clean, watery, fresh scents. I assume that some maceration will take effect in the following months, but this usually means a perfume gets better than it was. Absolutely love this one!

I don't know how they came up with the "Born in Roma" comparison, but this is definitely a dupe of "Prada Paradoxe Intense." It's a strong, sweet scent, while Born in Roma smells much softer and more floral. I bought Zimaya Reverie Petals because I'd heard a lot about it being a dupe of Born in Roma. Not so! I own Prada Paradoxe Intense, and it's a true one-to-one dupe.

It's a nice fragrance but not an exact dupe for DBIR. It's missing that beautiful and soft vanilla that lingers from the start to the end of the perfume. Maybe with time things would change, right now... When the perfume is still new, it is not an exact dupe... I would say 60:100... It's more like a younger sister that screams too loud. Btw... It smells nothing like Prada Paradoxe intense. I hate that perfume and for me it's totally not wearable, while this one suits me way much better and I love to wear it. Overall.... It really is a nice fragrance....

Pretty fruity floral. I get the Born in Roma and Paradoxe references, it has a similar DNA, a mix of juicy berries in the opening followed by white florals and vanilla base. For an arabian scent, I also love the bottle with the magnetic cap. The only point where I am slightly disappointed is the longevity and projections. I get max 3 hours and afterwards it becomes a skin scent which I barely notice anymore. Since the bottle is quite new I will leave it to macerate. I hope by spring it will be weareable, if not I might give it away...

The perfume is nothing special. It smells like a cheap, basic perfume. The price tag is not budget friendly. There is nothing special about the perfume, you get a nice bottle and perfume scent that is like any other. For me it is ok.

Mmm, this is quite nice. And the bottle is lovely too (with a magnetic cap!!), which is always a plus. At first spray, there’s a heavy whiff of fruity notes than in the original DBIR, but after a few more spritzes it subsides into a floral lightness.

Not as fruity or sweet as I’d imagined it would be, it almost pulls masculine on me since it’s super woody. I’m not getting any vanilla in this like others have but I’m hoping that letting it sit for a few weeks might bring out the sweeter notes.

The opening is lovely but the dry down...smells like a you snorted a pepper jar. I’m hoping laceration helps blend the notes.

idk it is very underwhelming perfumy boring scent. i am glad i dont have it anymore.

Zimaya very rarely offers any decent or above average performance and this is not an exception. I am done with them.

06-23-26, I just received my bottle, WAS a bit disappointed. It’s close, but not identical to DonnaBIR... It’s definitely missing the Bourbon Vanilla note .... To me it’s leaning more to Paradoxe, but not a dupe for it either. 07-08-26 ( 2 weeksUPDATE) : After a few weeks of maceration, it smells like Si Fiori. and I’m liking it more!!
