Royal Leather

I got this fragrance in a mall on Nov 1st this year, the tester bottle's spray smelled really nice and I was in the market for a leather fragrance so I bought it. I'll start with the bottle, the bottle and the presentation all are all superb. You get a really nice box (for me that's a plus because I store my fragrances in their box), the cap and bottle also have a nice heft to them, almost as if I paid the price of a Memo fragrance. The scent is really nice, to me the opening is very aromatic, a bit green, and a lot of leather. But after the opening I cannot smell any leather whatsoever, probably because the leather note is a top note and not part of the middle or base notes. The dry down smells like a green aromatic fragrance to me with a bit of that oud showing itself, but after 4-5 or so hours on my skin it starts to smell very similar to what a premium dark chocolate would smell like. The projection is solid, people are going to notice you in a room if you sprayed this on yourself like 5-6 times, projects for a solid 2-3 hours on my skin. Longevity is very nice, very good, last for 7 hours but I have noticed this fragrance as a skin scent on my wrist for about 12 hours, maybe more. Do note that this is not a mass appealing scent, I bought this thinking my girlfriend at the time would love it because she likes me wearing more masculine scents but unfortunately this is just too strong to impress some of the ladies, I had my friends smell it too with a sample size of 10, only about 3 of them actually liked it. BUT I do get compliments (about 1 or 2 whenever I wear this) AND still wear this even if its not a mass appealing scent because I just love this soo much, Its hard to pull off, but given the right circumstance this is my GOAT. This is a very sophisticated scent that calls for a very sophisticated situation. Is this a clone of Irish Leather? Naaaah, this is more like a flanker because the twist is very big because of the saffron. Will you smell unique? YES! Like what Marko said below this review the opening and dry down are two worlds apart. I go out a lot and get to smell a lot of different fragrances on people, and so far, I have not encountered anyone with this scent profile. Is this blind buy friendly? NOPE! Green aromatic, leather, AND chocolate. This is a very rare combination and the opening and dry down are super far apart, like I said this is not a mass appealing scent, so if your new to the game and want something more, do not go for this. If you are in the market for a leather fragrance like I was, I very heavily recommend Fucking Fabulous by Tom Ford, a good dupe of this is Fabulo Intense, and if you live in the Philippines like me get the Ian Darcy fragrance of Fucking Fabulous, both to me smell 80% similar to the real deal. Overall score: 8/10 TLDR: Good longevity and performance, not blind buy safe, not a mass appealing scent

Ok, there are no reviews here so I'll do one. Got it today. This doesn't necessarily smell too similar to Irish leather. This is pretty big twist. The twist is in the saffron and praline. One the opening you can smell the juiper berries and mate but more so they are wrapped around a SWEET saffron base. It's not too sweet but I would not classify this as an old school frag. The sweetness is noticeably and is modern. The green aspects of this fragrance are noticeable until the mid-late dry down. What is fascinating is that the dry down of this smells similar to something like Armani code parfumo/gucci Guilty elixir or even something like Tom Ford Noir extreme. Powdery Ambery Sweet with hints of leather. Fragrance changes a lot from the first spray to the dry down. This fragrance isn't soapy whatsoever, it isn't fresh ether. I would have liked it to be more aromatic and fresh, to have more mate, soapiness and leather and less sweetness, less saffron but what can you do. To love this you need to be a fan of saffron, sweet fragrances and aromatic fragrances which is a rare combo. The leather in this isn't anemalic whatsoever. But the combo of sweet-aromatic(green)-leather-saffton can be offputing to people. This smells pretty unique because the opening and the dry down are two worlds apart, and they mesh in the middle, it smells more niche then Irish leather, NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY. I love Irish leather and like this to but it's not a love yet, it still needs to grow on me but I think it will. There is no oud in this. If you don't like saffron or want a traditionally old school masculine frag don't buy this. This can work all year round. Performance is 4/5, projection 4/5. I don't think it's mass appealing. As a person bellow asked how many of us thought that this ais a new memo frag. This might as well be, something like a flanker to the OG Irish leather. Edit: This lasts as a skin scent for 24h+, and the skin scent smells like chocolate

Blend 3/5 (strong earthy) Uniqueness 5/5 (earthy) Percceived Quality 3/5 (smells natural, just ok) Royal Leather smells like Earth and Gourmand Dark Cocoa (not candy). Although Royal Leather smells linear; Interestingly it comprise more complex notes underneath which sadly doestnt project. What Royal Leather project and what we perceived, mostly earthy Patchouly and Vetiver. Which balanced out by flowers which also base heavy such as iris / oris. The cocoa notes in here is also base heavy which dark and bitter. Truly a unique base heavy composition; those earthy notes feels natural with airy and watery feels to it. I don't smell any leather. Which makes me disappoint. I know it is not leather; but Royal Leather somewhat able to evokes my childhood memory: my mother leather bag. when I open those when I was child. Thats the smell I remember.

For the love god dont buy it. It stinks so bad I tried it on a tester strip I nearly threw up

How many of ya'll thought this was a memo paris fragrance like I did?! Lol
