Taraf White

@piahellgren is right. I’ve been reading about perfume because I want to learn more and the correct term to use is maturation or letting the perfume mature. But, perfumes can in fact change in only a couple weeks after you get them. Specially middle eastern perfumes that can use unfiltered essential oils or resins or don’t have stabilizers and can have high concentrations of aromatic compounds. They are produced and shipped quickly and they don’t let them mature. Also when they travel they are exposed to different temperatures. Once you get it home, depending on the perfume, it can really change when it’s maturing. Anyhow lol I came to say how much I ADORE this perfume. It was love at first smell for me. It has a similar DNA than Delina La Rosee but it’s not a dupe. I would say they are cousins. A good dupe is Hawwa Pink which is also by Zimaya. This is ultra feminine and the litchi here is soooo good. You have to like litchi and sharp notes in order to like this. I’m in love :)

Love this! Ive had my bottle for about 4 months now so it's decently matured and the longevity for a fresh fragrance is great, lasts days on clothes and even in the cold weather it lasts a minimum of 5 hours on skin. I haven't smelled delina la rosee but I used to have a bottle of delina and this smells like a fresher more aquatic version of it without the rhubarb. I also love the bottle, i hate the PDM bottles because they wobble and fall over, this one looks beautiful and is stable. The atomizer is also fantastic for a ~$20 fragrance Does anyone know what the difference is between this and Hawwa Pink? Update/Edit - I’ve been wearing this as my work fragrance for the past two weeks and have gotten several compliments, she’s definitely a crowd pleaser! This might be one of the few fragrances I buy a backup for.

@HoneyRum I also wondering what the differences between Taraf White and Hawwa pink are! I think Hawwa pink is too expensive due to it's popularity, so I'm waiting for the prices to come down before I purchase a bottle. My review of taraf white: Fresh, floral, tart, and bright! The florals are pink and dewy, but I can't detect if it's actually roses? It smells more like a blend. The fruit (mix of bergamot and litchi) is tart and sharp (in a good way). I don't detect much pear. The musk is very soft, and very much in the background to mellow things out. I find this to be a beautiful hot-weather perfume, but wish there was a little more watery rose and less sharp bergamot/litchi. I want a bottle of Hawwa pink to compare! I wonder if Hawwa pink is more rose forward?

This is a gem! It definitely gives the Delina vibes, but not a dupe. It is a great perfume on its own. It shares the same DNA as Delina (same notes), but it has different blending and quality. At the beginning litchi and all the fruits make your mouth water.. Then the dusty rose comes in to give this powdery accord and that's when you get the nobile vibe of Delina. Sillage and longevity are good enough. It is great value for money and it doesn't have the east, oriental, heavy sense at all. Plus, the bottle and packaging are quite good. A very aquatic, fruity rose with pear and lychee. Amazing for hot days, I cannot imagine anyone hating this. The ultimate "soft girl" fragrance, super feminine and light. 🌷☁️ Longevity is not the best, but i will report back after maceration.

I have this and love it. I don't get any rose at all, to me it smells like a fresh, juicy pear 🍐 Very fresh and good for summer

I bought this after seeing it being compared to Delina La Rosee with a twist. I will say that i'm not a Delina fan and I have no idea how Delina Rosee smell, so I'm not able to compare it that. With that being said, this is a light crisp, musky, slightly aquatic fragrance with a citrus accord that's not too sharp. I get a hint of the litchi in the background that gives it a hint of sweetness and balances the citrus note. Overall, I don't get the original Delina DNA (sharp rose) and I'm happy about that. The pear note isn't as prominent as I'd like but is still present. The fragrance gives me a shower clean feel without being too soapy. Although I wasn't blown away, I do like this fragrance. It will be used in my summer rotation for sure on casual occasions. Perfect for tropical climates as an everyday scent.

A very nice, light and fruity summer fragrance. Perfect for hot days when you want to feel fresh.

Pleasant but nothing breathtaking

Unsure of what’s going on with this one. After months and months it still feels plain alcohol with some random flowers on the horizon. It also gave me a massive respiratory reaction. After giving it plenty of tries, I shipped it to my mountain home for perfuming some blankets and bedsheets, but I’m not even sure it will work. I don’t even know what I was expecting, at least it costed about 15€ so nothing far from a decent home perfume for fabrics, but that’s it

It’s a crisp fresh nice scent, but gives me hairspray vibes 😞 I think it’s lichee with bergamot not balanced enough by rose, as Taraf White has only subtle rose note...I wonder if Hawwa Pink is better and doesn’t give hairspray vibe?

I've had this maturing in a dark wardrobe for around six months after spraying 5-6 sprays when it first arrived. This usually helps my Middle Eastern perfumes that initially smell unpleasant to macerate and change for the better but unfortunately and it hasn't changed Zimaya's Taraf White much at all. On initial spray there is an incredibly loud, screechy sour citrus note that continues to dominate throughout the dry down. I can't smell anything else underneath that note. For some reason- in my experience - the worst scents are the better performers, but thankfully I didn't have to scrub this one off like I did with Latafa's Ana Abiyedh White or Khadlaj's 25 Loyalty which lasted for days after scrubbing. To me, Zimaya's Taraf White smells almost identical to another perfume I had (and hated) by Lattafa's Vurv brand called Bal D'or. Not nice. Smells cheap, and like a chemical you'd spray on weeds.

I have all 3 delinas and this doesn't smell like delina la rosee at all. Don't really detect the turkish rose (which is what makes Delina beautiful). It smells like flowers at church or the scent they put on church stuff. Also reminds me of a cheap shampoo. It's affordable but still not worth the price for me. Will see if macerating will make any difference. I'm curious to see if Hawwa Pink is actually a better dupe for Delina, but now I'm scared to even try any dupes and be disappointed again. I also tried armaf club de nuit imperiale to see if it's a good dupe for the exclusif version. It's close on the dry down but I can't stand the opening. Doesn't smell flirty, feminine and youthful like the OG exclusif. It's like the old, mature, grandma version. The only good dupe I've had so far is afnan's Mystique Bouquet which is a dupe for valaya

I apologize if anyone likes this, but this has got to be the worst thing I have ever (and I do mean EVER!) smelled. So screechy, the citruses are very synthetic and cheap smelling, absolutely nauseating.

@Noveight -You're right, Hawwa Pink does pull more roses. I have both Taraf and Hawwa Pink. Hawwa Pink has a more forward floral rose scent, while Taraf is more citrus-forward. When comparing both to Delina La Rose’e, I feel like Taraf smells similar (opening and dry down) to La Rose’e, whereas Hawwa Pink leans more towards Delina. Both are beautiful fragrances, but if you live in a warm weather state, I think Taraf would be the better choice. Taraf could be used as an everyday signature scent - a perfume you wear at work or on a date whereas Pink would be more of a date day/night fragrance. That said, Taraf is much “louder” than Pink, but not in an obnoxious way. That sweet tart will get your attention. Both has great performance and sillage. Will having both in your collection be too redundant? I don't think so. If you love rose fragrances like myself, I'd keep both. I will wear Taraf during the day and Pink at night. I bought Hawwa Pink from a shop on TikTok called “Truly Scented LLC”. They have great reviews - daily reviews and right now its on sale for $32.00. I bought my beautiful bottle for $34.99

Guys, mascerating is already done when you buy the perfume! What you get it is how it smells. However, the maturing of good quality perfumes happen of course (bad ones just go off), but that takes years! I am so tired of TikTok generationers sitting around ”mascerating” their Yaras claiming they were utterly changed after a number of sprays and 3 months on a shelf. It doesn’t work like that and if it did we would have been talking about it since the 60ies or at least 80ies. You are all imagining things and reapeating stuff to sound in-the-know.

I understand the Delina La Rosee comparison, but it's not a dupe to me. It has a similar vibe and good longevity for the price. 5-6 hours depending on the day. Not a love, but as someone who generally leans more towards heavier autumn/winter scents, it's nice to have something easy & fresh for summer. I got it 2 weeks ago, so I'll have to see how it changes after a few months.

Opening - rose and lychee, but it’s not the most pleasant or natural rose or lychee. But ...half an hour later and the drydown - a beautiful, fresh rose that’s actually lovely. Half an hour later—poof! It’s completely gone. Regret buy. Reflect is a better quality and longer lasting version of this, or Flower Addiction by Maison Alhambra.
