Zokar Paris is a new house, established in 2023 and this is their first scent. I came across it in a niche perfumery shop in Nîmes and ended up buying a bottle, as I was looking for something unique. The Davana oil is strong here, and the combination of spices and grasses gives the whole perfume a grassy, green, pungently earthy character. The most prominent note for me is the hay absolute, which is mentioned on the website of the brand, but not here on Fragrantica. Underneath this lies a classy combination of vanilla, tobacco, and honey, at times somewhat reminiscent of Naxos. I like it a lot, but think the sharp, almost biting "grassyness" is a bit much at times. It is definitely a unique and rare perfume. A scent for a man who wants to smell elegant and mature, but with a twist. Not impossible to pull off for a woman either. Wearable anytime except maybe for the hottest days. Very pleasant on a nice summer evening, as I feel it brings a bit of Caribbean and / or Latin flair. The spices mean it also works well in a cooler climate. Performance is good, this is a high quality scent in perfume concentration. Personal anecdote: Without having worn it properly, I took the risk and wore it on a first date. Although she first thought that it smelled quite unique and strong, she now associates the smell with our first (successful) date and wants me to wear it for her regularly.
