Impressive. This gives me the true jungle vibe. A green and floral fragrance, with earthy and watery facets. Cacao note lingering underneath. Detectable, but subtle. It's a green, clean, floral and woody fragrance. The green notes reminds me of crushed vegetation and grass. I don't quite get the darjeeling tea, but i get what it's supposed to be in here. Florals are subtle and clean, and not feminine. Earthy patchouli and cacao pod gives a nice earthy grounded tone, and with the magnolia giving of a beautiful watery floral note. There is some mint in here, i'm sure of it. Barely any, but enough to register. A light coconut gives the scent a feeling of density and thickness. And woody notes, like broken trees in your path. And a light, lingering musk floating in the background. I truly get a "walking along a trampled down path in the thick, dense jungle" feel/vibe. It's quite transportative. The late dry-down isn't quite as good. Kind of minty cacao. It's still good. Just not as great as the opening and mid. Where: Casual to semi formal. This is so "clean green and floral", that it's no problem to wear to a dinner party or for certain special ocations. At the same time, it has a relaxing and slowing down effect on my mood, so i can easily see this working spectacularly in everyday activities and at the office. When: Spring and summer, possibly fall, if it's not too cold. It's not that the fragrance needs heat, but that the scent is so "jungle and warm humidity" in a thematic way. I would almost feel it would be weird to smell this in fall or winter. Who: Anyone, man or woman, any age (probably most appreciated by 25+). It's a true unisex in my book. Personal score: 9.25/10. Wow, yes, i really loved this. A bit harsh the first 5 seconds, so i would recommend not breathing it in too soon after applying (like i did the first time). But after maximum 10 seconds, it's nothing but a great wear. Versatile and transportative. I am for 100% getting a bottle as soon as i can.

I love, love this fragrance. What a wonderful surprise. It's unisex on the masculine side per this website, and as someone who enjoys fragrances leaning decidedly feminine, I LOVE this day or night. It's so unique, gorgeous, wild/mysterious and approachable at the same time. The opening for me is very green - windblown dry grassland comes to mind - and it wasn't until I read the note of the darjeeling tea that I had that "aha" moment. It is JUST creamy (? maybe the coconut) enough that the sharpness does not turn to a more masculine scent to my nose/on my skin, even though as others have said it is not a sweet fragrance. I have to be careful with fragrances as many trigger migraines for me, and I almost didn't even try this given how intense Zoologist frags can be but I'm SO glad I did. Just WOW! Gorgeous. The mid notes and drydown are where this shines; typical Zoologist strength: two sprays and its like I've rolled for hours naked in a rainy savannah. Not bad - just strong :) Another note - zoologist fragrances are designed to really bring to life and evoke the animals the perfumer took inspiration from, and in many (i.e. tyrannosaurus rex, rhino, SQUID, etc) this is very much the case. In this one I had to take a minute. Then, I really thought about the Elephant - the intelligent, elegant, incredibly social mammal with self-awareness, gliding along and within its environment despite its immmense size, the heat of the sun on its back and the rainy season bringing closeness. To me a fragrance that smacks of namesake without a more nuanced approach, would not honour Elephant. So to me this lovely, warm homage to the etheral Elephant does very well.

Oh my. When I first sprayed this I thought of my brother and it made me quite emotional cuz my brother moved out not too long ago and I miss him a lot. I didn’t rlly know how to feel about this cuz I was so overwhelmed by how much I like this and yet how it reminds me of my brother. My brother doesn’t smell like this but it reminds me of him cuz it has this easy comforting warmth and sweetness yet a kind of complex musky, dirty(best way possible) smell. My brother smells rlly good. He smokes so he always smells abit like cigarettes but also like his perfume and himself. He isn’t stinky but he smells so human in a way of he maybe doesn’t wear his freshest clothes and smells abit like smoke. I tried figuring out what exactly this perfume is to me and why I love it so much. It feels so comforting-Home like yet wild and unfamiliar and free. On my skin it starts like a dark brightness. Like something green that went thru darkness. But when it settles and sinks into my skin u get this unbelievably beautiful tea quality with the cacao, so powdery and so skin like. It has this darkness and heaviness to it but yet so creamy powdery and beautiful. I imagine like a very mysterious and free soul drinking their tea while smoking. Like a person in the jungle using dusting powder mixed with cacao to cover or dab on their sweat. Just so touching to me! I can’t grasp that much still what exactly this does to my brain but this feels so much like home yet so far away from where home is. I don’t know if this is a good description but this is all I can think of. Love this a lot! Wouldn’t say it’s for everyone tho and not a safe blind buy.

With the 2017 version of Elephant being discontinued shortly, I had to secure a bottle of it before it goes extinct. It has to be said that I did not love Elephant at first. When I first smelled it on paper, it was pleasant enough. On skin, I felt it didn’t last long and found it to be quite linear. But after giving this beast some time to really find its footing on my skin and through my nose, it has become one of my most grounding, relaxing scents. I’ve since moved to a more humid climate, and the scent has come alive in the warmth of the sun. It opens with a blast of crunchy, green leaves and Indian tea. It truly feels like drinking a glass of tea in a jungle where elephants are somewhere nearby enjoying their lunch of shrubbery and tree bark. After a while a beautiful coconut and a dark chocolate arrive to elevate the experience. The coconut is not creamy, but more so the husk of the coconut itself. Creamy sandalwood and bitter cacao dance together to add a subtle sweetness to the earthiness of everything else happening. Incense creeps its way in to add a layer of spice and mystery. If you didn’t love this at first, I urge you to give it another shot on a day you feel at peace with yourself grounded in the sunshine. I’ve tried every Zoologist and this is the one that keeps surprising me every time I wear it. I’ve also received more compliments than I ever thought I would wearing it. It creates a powerful, confident aura for the right wearer. I’m so excited to see where the Sanctuary Edition takes this wild giant.

I've been hesitant to try this one for so long, since so many people say this leans very masculine. Even from the sample vial it smells masculine and I thought this would quickly make its way into the "no" pile, but I'm pleasantly surprised to say this is another winner from Zoologist! On my skin this translates as a mixture of mint (which I assume is the tea note), dry earth and cacao - specifically cacao powder. Dry and bitter, NOT chocolate or praline. As the mint/tea fades the coconut starts to creep in and I can't help but draw a comparison to Snowy Owl - they feel like two sides of the same coin to me! Snowy Owl, as the name suggests, is a very cold and wintery take on coconut with prominent white florals, whereas Elephant is most definitely its summer counterpart. On my first wear test I couldn't detect the white florals at all but I can pick them up ever so slightly the more I wear it, but mostly I get mint/tea, dry earth, cacao and coconut. In terms of accords I'd describe it as green, woody/earthy and a touch gourmand. To compare it to yet another Zoologist frag, in terms of strength/silage this reminds me of Cow, it's a bit stronger but expect around that level of presence. I'd say this is a squarely unisex perfume, personally. This is absolutely PERFECT for those who want a coconut-y summer fragrance but without the usual trappings of frangipani, ylang ylang, tuberose, citrus, and so on.

I'm surprised not to see fig listed as one of the notes. There is a ripe juiciness, almost of a fleshy quality, to Elephant that recalls fresh fig. I'm not complaining; as a fan of green fragrances, I love this one because it's not a sharp/bitter green (like one finds in many galbanum- or moss-centric fragrances) perfume but rather the embodiment of a crispy-wet greenness. The blend is lovely: heavy water notes plus coconut (which never becomes too buttery or lotion-y), tea, and magnolia come together to recreate a midday jungle. This smells like the outdoors, but not in the same way as something like Yatagan or Antaeus, which privilege the animalic and the piney. Elephant is sappy but not resinous, watery but not marine or aquatic. This is sapling-green, sweaty sunlight green, the green of unpruned underbrush. A soliflore for tropical forest vegetation, if you will. I think it's wonderful, and wonderfully creative, but I can see why people might be put off. There's something cloying about the organic intensity of it. For me, this is a unique and naturalistic summer scent, a true anti-perfume, genderless and timeless. I'm not sure what setting this scent best fits, but it will definitely turn heads (in a good way, I think; people are going to wonder what park you've been hanging out at all day). Sexy in a natural, unpretentious way. Another novel creation by Zoologist; thank you so much!

Zoologist Elephant opens with an immediate, immersive blast of earthy tea wrapped in soft magnolia. The first spray feels grounding and expansive at the same time—calm, yet quietly vibrant. As it develops, the tea note intertwines with another floral nuance that reads almost like the listed floral note (jasmine), though it’s never overtly indolic or heady. Instead, the floral aspect remains sheer and delicate, lending a gentle lift to the composition rather than dominating it. There’s a subtle cardamom warmth threading through the heart, giving the scent a chai-like character—exotic, spicy, and comforting without ever becoming sweet. The overall effect is green and floral, but in a textured, almost meditative way. When I smell this, I keep visualizing yellow and green vertical lines: tall grasses, filtered sunlight, slow movement. It feels alive and organic. Elephant is refined yet evocative, balancing earthiness with translucence, spice with serenity. It’s quietly complex, deeply atmospheric, and unexpectedly addictive. At this point, it might just be my favorite of the Zoologist lineup so far. A pity that it's about to be discontinued. Though I find Zoologist full bottles rather pricey and difficult to purchase in my neck of the woods, I ordered a travel spray of Elephant to make sure I possess a bit of the magic that is this perfume.

I dont throw this word around loosely, in fact, I have never actually "rated" a perfume, scent is just too personal and subjective for any rating to have meaning. That said, Elephant by Zoologist is a masterpiece. This is so complex and well done, I dont even attempt to pick out the notes, I just flow with the scent.. I go to wherever it takes me. I am in the jungle. Cutting a path through thick leafy vines and a warm sunny day. There are berry bushes, the kind with thorns, wild flowers. There is the smell of soil and earth in the background. After several hours, there is still a hint of freshly cut grasses and bushes, but a layer of woods and a very natural and pleasant musk emerges. There is what seems to be that thick milky substance you get with cut green tree limbs and sap. Comforting, a little mysterious, very earthy. The sillage and longevity are awesome. This isnt a perfume, it's an experience. I do not get a hint of anything artificial or any sort of "designer cologne" vibe. This (as all of Zoologist perfumes) is utterly unique. This is so successful in paying homage to the great African elephant in his environment. Genius !!!! I wholeheartedly rate this masterpiece a 10 out of 10. I believe I have found my signature scent.

wow wow wow! one of my favorites from this house. This is definitely not for everyone and I think that’s why I love this so much. This opens with a bitter and sharp grass note that was initially very off putting and made me literally say “this is a no...” but very quickly the dry down begins and it’s beautiful! You get a creamy, soft, and fresh coconut with a powdery chocolate and the tea shows up more. It’s woody, fresh, and softly sweet with an earthy chocolate and coconut pulp. This feels like an elephant sitting down for a cup of tea with chocolate biscuits after running through the damp forest, green leaves covering every inch of the floor as they stampede through. Then the full dry down is a cozy, creamy sandalwood with sweet musk and warm amber, the tea and chocolate notes still present adding an aromatically green and earthy air. This is an elephant cozied up in a cove of tall trees, with a breeze through the branches after it’s rained, the tea sits half drunken in its cup, biscuit crumbs left behind. Truly atmospheric and nature in a sweet memory.

This one is really a piece of art. This is my second purchase from this house and also tried 5 of them in a decant and never got dissapointed. It opens green very green, reminds me of Boszporusz by Nishane. That lasts like half an hour maybe less, then changes into woody, semi oriental, summerish exotic smell. The coconut in this is nothing like suntan lotion type of creamy coconut. It is more like woody earthy coconut mixed with very dark choclate. A True artistic fragrance!! Beware! I have no intention of acting like a niche head snop but you cannot enjoy this fragrance if you have been using dior sauvage, one million, invictus etc. and jump straight into zoologist frags. I highy doubt you will like it nor understand it. This is not a teenager or even a college student fragrance unless you are really into this hobby or a collector. I see this appropriate for all seasons. The performance is amazing but not cloying in your face that gives a headache. You feel it is there for hours. The sileage is also great.

This scent is an experience from beginning to end. Upon first spraying it, the earthy notes overtake everything else. To me, it smells like potent, fresh tea leaves or freshly cut grass that is extremely strong to the point where you can pick up on it even if you're sitting a long distance away. This initial scent is like a fresh smack in the face, which may deter those who are expecting something less sharp and more gentle, milky and sweet. However, just like venturing through a forest, the sharper notes eventually settle down into a sweet mix of amber, wood and coconut until it blends together into a gentle, comforting sweetness. It really displays the playful and gentle nature of an elephant. A raw force of nature at one's first impression that settles into the demeanor of a gentle beast. It's extremely cozy if you're a nature lover and my skin seems to bring out all of the right notes. Excellent if you're looking for something unique.

This is a beautiful fragrance and brings such an amazing calming and relaxed vibe I smell it. This is sooo good. Green beginning and then smoothest chamomile tea note you've ever smelled comes in and stays there.. Ugh this stuff is good. It really bothers me when other folks smell their ordered sample, smell it immediately, then make a judgement without letting it dry down and develop...I can tell other ppl did that in their reviews because after 5 min or so the tea note comes in and smells AMAZING. Just be careful any quick judgements... This smells INCREDIBLE and I'll be buying some travel decants before I take a trip outside the country. I do like to criticize others on here because frankly most folks on here deserve it. This smells good, get a sample, try it on SKIN! Then the greenery disappears and the tea note comes in beautifully. Tell me if I'm wrong I want to know.

Elephant was not love at first sniff for me. The first time I sprayed it, the green shock was absolutely unbearable (I really don't know why, I've not experienced this again)... however, I've made a 180 degree turn on this. I really like Elephant now. This is like being literally in the middle of a rainy forest in India, after an elephant has crushed all sort of plants... this is green... I mean, you can actually "smell" the greenery. These first notes may not please everybody. Elephant tames itself after about an hour and becomes a creamy scent, with coconut and cacao. The dry down is amazing. Good sillage, and I keep getting whiffs from time to time, and sometimes a note makes itself known (which I hadn't smelled before). This is incredibly original as most Zoologist fragrances are, and really good on my skin. Do not blind buy. Try before you buy.

Aromatic, herbal, balsamic old granpa smell. But i absolutely LOVE this. Is nostalgic and elegant of a timeless era. I see a refined man , dressed with taste and no specific brands. With allure and charm. But it's an "adult" scent dna. It reminds me of moth balls inside big wood vintage closets, the ones with creaky doors and carved emblems on them, filled with leather jackets and long wool coats and shirts and ties. Elephant makes my mind immediately calm and my lungs breathe in fully and rhythmically. It's an amazing grounding scent. I literally just exhaled differently a few times after smelling it. What sourcery! Dense and airy while being deep and green. I cannot, at all, detect coconut milk nor cacao. will update on drydown. ** drydown is balsamic, salty, calming and divine. Love this DNA.

Scrolling through the reviews here I notice a lot of people saying Elephant is weird and non-wearable. Did we smell the same perfume?? I picked up a couple of Zoologist samples (Panda, Camel, Nightingale, Bee, Moth, and Elephant) and I think this one is both the most beautiful and the most wearable of the bunch. People say it's sharp, but to me it's more bright and sparkling and fresh, evoking a feeling of excitement. The greenery has been smoothed down so beautifully with that silky coconut. In the drydown I also get the musk and sandalwood. I don't get any patchouli. Sillage, projection, and longevity are all elephant-sized, though, so spritz with caution. I love Elephant, but would I reach for it often enough to justify a bottle? (The bottle is so goddang cute......)

This is so surprisingly good. I get the exact picture they're presenting. It's so earthy and smells like thick green vegetation. It has a clean vibe without being soapy. Clean in a natural after-the-rain kind of scent. It intrigues me. I can see someone wearing this on a rainy date night in summer or in the middle of winter. And so far, that hasn't shifted into anything strange or cloying to my nose, as Zoologist often does for me. This is a brand you absolutely have to skin test. Really drives home the 'never blind buy' mantra I'm constantly saying, but this one... yeah. I think this is my favorite of them. Up there with Cow, Harvest Mouse, and Rabbit. I'm still not paying full price for only 60ML. I'll find a sale before I do that.

Living in the sub tropics I can immediately recognize the smell of wet tropical foliage after the rain. I smell soil and compost from decaying leaves melding into the ground. I smell the green foliage after the rain and some rotting wood covered in fungus. This is the smell of the rainforest. In fact it makes me feel slightly melancholy because we are in severe drought here in Australia and we haven’t had any much needed rain for the longest time. For anyone who might want a visual to accompany Elephant, spray a generous amount, then take a look at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory page on FB. You will have a truly zen multidimensional experience of vision, sound and smell. Well done Zoology. This is a masterpiece!

You know these small " globetrotter hippie" shops that sell imported clothing, jewellery, home decorations etc from East South Asia ? It smells like exotic incense and the owner is playing yoga/meditation music. It reminds me this. Adds some tea, creamy coconut, green leaves accords. Then I can frame the elephant but the ethnic shop came to my mind first. I feel this could come from Lush (the hippie vibe). Quite relaxing and zen. I could imagine a Buddhist temple to smell like this. The coconut makes it more wearable and adds creaminess. It's not so difficult to wear if you like incensy perfume to be honest. But again with Zoologist it is quite different and for sure not for everyone.

Wild green chocolate! Surprised not to see cacao featured more in people's reviews, because it's so prominent on my skin. Also, a few reviewers reference stampeding, crushing greenery, etc. and while I get that at the beginning, overall this is a very tranquil perfume on me. There's something very meditative about it - the sharp greenness is enough to induce focus while the creamy, lactonic coconut and cacao, tea, and sandalwood introduces a parallel sense of relaxation. If you like the idea of a chocolate fragrance that's more bitter than sweet, or if you're looking for a 'perk me up' perfume that's not screechy, this is the fragrance for you. Another love for me from Zoologist!

When I first smelled 'Elephant,' my jaw dropped. I've never smelled any fragrance like this before. I was hit with such a unique combination of notes. The scent is extremely green, with creamy coconut to give it some sweetness, and a hint of cocoa dust and woodiness. The green leafy notes are so realistic that it almost doesn't even smell like a fragrance, but rather an experience. It's as if I ran through the middle of a dense jungle surrounded by dry coconut trees. 'Elephant' projects very loud and strong in the beginning, and lasts quite a long time on my skin. The sillage on this is outstanding. It's not very versatile, but I can see myself wearing this a lot in the spring.

My favourite Zoologist perfume. Top 1. Elephants, they are creatures with a threshold of patience, Please be patient with them, if you are willing to explore their beauty coziness. ... Something about it reminds me of Guerlain SAMSARA, Yes! Obviously, the sandalwood probably is the reason. But in the context of presenting an idea for a fragrance, people who hate on Zoologist mainly just because they don't get the creative concept behind the whole aesthetic nothing to do with the juice itself. You might think twice if you consider Samsara a great deal and at the same time you're turned off by the amazing portrait of the Elephant on a bottle before you smell it, or even after!

I have tried a lot of Zoologist samples. I find them all very artsy and interesting but none that are necessarily daily wears or full bottle worthy for me. However, Elephant totally took me by surprise! Based on the notes, I figured I’d hate this. I lean very feminine and sweet and don’t usually like very green or earthy fragrances. But Elephant!!! I am not getting the negative experience many seem to report. On my skin, the opening is such a fresh comforting tea scent. The dry down is just as comforting a very warm and cozy. I don’t get any coconut and the patchouli is blended so beautifully and not heavy. Absolutely full bottle worthy and on my wish list!

WOW I wasn’t expecting to love this that much. At first sniff I was totally in awe. Like being transported to a lush rainforest during a storm. Juicy, green, humid, with wet soil and leaves, foliage full of rain and all. So earthy it’s zen-like and meditative. As if you’re breathing in Mother Earth at her peak some millennia ago and you’re completely taken into the moment, succumbing to her beauty completely. Pure untouched vegetation, as earth should’ve always been. I’m not articulate enough to fully describe how this smells. As others have said, it’s so hyperreal that it’s more of an experience than a fragrance. Unpretentious, Buddha-like, complex.

A blast of green/vegetation right off the top, followed by cocoa and spice. As if you are deep in the Jungle, with vegetation heavy and thick. I don't really smell the tea note, although that could be the spice I smell. In the dry down, the green notes mellow out a bit, and the coconut and florals come out to accompany the cocoa. There's a nice creamy/milkiness to it. Very calm and relaxing scent. To me it leans more Spring/Fall/Winter day. I wouldn't reach for this mid Summer, but perfect for a lazy/low key day off in other seasons. My favorite Zoologist. I hope it doesn't get discontinued now that the flanker (Sanctuary Ed.) has dropped.

this one is so interesting! in the beginning i get green leaves, cacao, incense and a bit of florals. later on i get a tiny hint of coconut (i feared it might be overwhelming but it's not) as well as sandalwood and musk i believe. this one is so evocative-it really calls to mind walking through a cool canopy of greenery in warm weather. i am testing this on a warm summer day and it's perfect in this weather. the juxtaposition of notes is so interesting-cacao and incense vs. humid florals and greenery. this one is really lovely and i don't have anything like it.

Such a nice, green scent that dries down to deep, earthy wood. A bit more masculine if you ask me, but wearing this makes me feel powerful, like a force of nature. In the little paragraph they wrote about the elephant on the website, they painted a picture of flattened greenery as the herd cleared a path through the wood, and to me that’s exactly what it smells like. Kind of makes me solemn and nostalgic smelling it, it reminds me of something from my childhood that I can’t quite place, maybe malanga or plantain? Regardless, it’s very good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

Elephant begins with sharp, bitter, green and vegetal grass scent... Much like the scent of a botanical garden after the rain amplified... And then the coconut comes in to play, and for me it's a bit gourmandish (though i cant imagine eating grass)... The bitter green reminds me a bit of Carnal Flower, it's not the same mind you, it's just very photorealistic vegetal... It's no wonder this perfume won an award. For me silage and performance are stellar, i fot compliments, and it lasts at least 12 hours.

Powdery, earthy, and unique. I envision myself walking with elephants and being close enough to smell the ivory. Its reminiscent of nature without smelling dirty. Arid yet green, silky and sophisticated but somehow still animalic. I wear this when i visit zoos, specifically when i visit Animal Kingdom in Orlando. It performs well in the heat without being overwhelming. Heard a nasty rumor that this is being discontinued and i'm not sure why, its such a unique yet wearable scent from Zoologist.

What an amazing scent. This is a green scent at its core. The moment you sniff it, it takes you to a green lush jungle thanks to the green notes and great interplay of coconot, cocoa, and light hints of fig and tea. While I love fig and have many fig scents, this is not what I would call a fig scent. And while this has some gourmand ingredients, it is not a gourmand scent at all. The second fragrance from Zoologist I have tried, and I love both so far (T-Rex was first...what a beast).

Elephant begins with an intense rush of green foliage in the opening as you crash through the bushes. Then, notes of coconut milk and cacao intermingle before the expedition comes to an end in a beautifully blended base of sandalwood. Wafts of sillage are trumpeted at a medium volume and the longevity lasts with you throughout the day. It is a truly unique experience that brings a smile to your face with every whiff. A wonderful journey of scent through the jungles of India.

What a strange green woody smell I can’t get enough of it. That opening is super super green almost grassy but the tea gives it that slight herbal fresh aroma, and progresses to this creamy nice coconut and sandalwood spiced by warm cocoa giving a slight gourmand vibe. One of the longer lasting Zoologists to me I get the sandalwood on skin 7 hours later didn’t know what to expect of this one other than some sort of tea and was not disappointed could be bottle worthy

I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the green notes are overwhelmingly strong, but I don’t really get that from elephant. This fragrance is really well blended, and the coconut milk definitely shines through even in the opening to give it this really creamy quality. The green notes are there, but they feel damp and mixed in with the tea and sandalwood quite well to give it that forest feel. This is like drinking a pandan milkshake deep in the jungle!

Very very green, but not in an unpleasent way. I can totally imagine being inside a jungle. I appreciate this a lot. Just a good good depiction of a jungle made pretty wearable. Reminds me a little of "soft lawn" by imaginary authors. But based on memory, Elephant is more smooth and smells a lot nicer and more wearable. It really teleports me to thailand. VERY situational but so good at what it does. 10/10 wet jungle in Thailand or Indonesia Love+

This is probably one of the most underrated (if not, the most) Zoologist perfumes. The opening might be overpowering and a bit harsh, but it tones down while remining potent. The opening is more like "young branches" (if that's a thing) with tea to me rather than green leaves only. As it dries down, it mixes with the coconut and the cocoa, turning into a weird but beautiful creamy green woody smell. It's very niche withount being unwearable.

The perfume that showed me actually I DO like green fragrances and cemented my obsession with Zoologist. The opening smells like freshly snapped stems and dries down to the clearing in the heated forest, sitting in the shade watching the wildlife going about their business. On my skin its's a musky incense but the creamy mid notes remain on clothing. Lasts all day and makes me feel so calm and happy. Love love love,

Elephant smells like standing in a field of tall green grass. The fragrance is pure foliage under the sun--crushed green stems, swishing grass, and dappled leaves. There is coconut, but it isn't creamy or beachy--it's freshly pulled off the tree, hastily opened, and refreshingly cool. It's super atmospheric. Elephant is great in cooler weather, but it's absolutely fantastic on a hot day!

Starts with grassy notes and a little sweetness. The blending and evenness are really excellent. I get the cacao, patchouly, magnolia, Coconut, sandalwood, Amber, musk, a hint of jasmine . It’s very pleasant not overly sweet or floral. I could definitely wear this (spring, summer, fall). Leans a little more masculine. Elephant is a relaxing scent and very enjoyable.

Tried this again after a couple of years and I still love it. I can’t believe people are calling this basic. I think this is such a gorgeous and different perfume. It starts out as a very loud green scent with a gorgeous tea note. The drydown is so unexpected - it seamlessly morphs into a super soft creamy coconutty sandalwood. I wish I could afford a full bottle.

First blast of powdery sweet light greens and florals, drying to a lovely coconut milk after a minute. It's light and lush at the same time, freshness over a sweet warm base. Absolute love at first sniff! Unisex and best for cool weather. 6+ hours later: Mostly gone from my skin by the 5 hour mark. Had settled on a faint warm amber and sandalwood before it left.

Fresh, juicy, thick stems of some bitter grass. If you, like myself dislike sweet green notes and sweet bamboo scents, this one is worth trying. The green notes here are sharp, fresh and clean, no sweetness. The woody notes in the base are not overpowering, the scent remains green and fresh for a few hours, with a bit of wood and black tea. Jungle calling!

I'll never understand the low rating on this one, but I guess everyone just smells things differenty. I think this is GORGEOUS. Really hard to describe and smells masterfully blended. Smells unique and expensive, like something someone rich and with really cool style would wear. Same goes for Penguin, which is really similar to this.

This very green and woody perfume with subtle sweetish nuances tells us the story of a primordial nature hidden in the robust heart of an immense sunny forest. Iridescent, evocative and with an extraordinary evolution. The combination of Tea and Incense, then, literally sends you into ecstasy! Amazing ? Absolutely yes!

I received this as a free sample and I honestly would never have taken an interest in this perfume. But wow! I was NOT expecting this. On my skin the sweeter notes in this perfume really shine. It's like a really sweet chai latte with floral notes, is how I might best describe it? Odd but in a good way. I'm a big fan.

hearing that this fragrance might be discontinued i went ahead and got my nose on it. i strongly prefer this to the sanctuary edition. this one smells like a jungle. green leaves, tropical fruit, a tinge of soil, and a hint of aromatic spices. truly a treasure. sad itll be gone soon.

Odd that most people smell green leaves and dirt. Not sure if it's just my batch but I always smell just straight up cocoa powder. It's very nice and I love it. But I hardly smell anything else on me. Maybe a slight floral or woodiness in the background. Good stuff.

Probably one of the most wearable Zoologist fragrances while still being a work of art! Opens with sweet, creamy tea and dries down to nice green/woody notes. Good longevity without being overpowering. Still surprised how polarizing some of the comments are.

Beautifully relaxing. Tea and milky coconut but yet it isn’t gourmand. I think this is the safest Zoologist to wear as there are no animalic notes. This is great in the spring and really does bring a jungle habitat to your mind.

Perhaps my favorite from the bunch of samples I got from Zoologist. Elephant smells like waxy green leaves in a sandalwood forest after a rain shower. Beautiful!

My Husband loves it!!! It has very big sillage ang lasts all day long. Good choice for that man who likes coconut...
