Тройной (Troynoy)

Nice lemon and bergamot scent. Not the most overpowering (takes 3 splashes under my armpits to make it even remotely noticeable at a few feet’s distance. Price is super affordable. Great for everyday daytime wear. Ranks 2nd in my book (tied with Acqua Di Gió, 1st is Penhaligon’s Halfeti Leather). Definitely recommend this Eau d’ Cologne.

By the way- that was a great stuff !!!! I remember yellow-ish liquid and a black label. and a black bottle top. Don't want to repeat- yes, it was my gran's miracle rub..... And it did its job and 'trick'.....when child, i used it as a moskito repellent, too.... For me it was always CARNATION. Strong, pronounced and very long-lasting... Yes, that's the smell u never forget, once u smelled it one time. And i must look to it to get a bottle or 2 - like 'blast from the past"...... We had great stuff those days.... I really miss those childhood times with Trojnij, Sheherezada, Natasha, Krasnaja Moskva.....Even though i am in Europe and can 'get it all'...

Nice, clean, soapy, green, masculine.. with just 1 dollar usd, you can buy this stuff in Russia. Longevity and projection are poor as you can guess. The main notes I get are neroli, bergamot, lemon, lavender. The other notes are weak. It is really nice but useless without any longevity and sillage. In Russia use this cologne as after shave balsam. They have many-many very cheap scents for that reason like Trojnoy. If you search, you can find hidden diamonds in russian scents especially for women. Prices are very affordable even for the heavy and strong EDP versions. But there are hundrends and hundrends of them.. numerous..

This is the Russian "Jicky" to me. Amazing. I totally agree with Malegria (see her gorgeous review). In a blind test with my friends (none of them in any way familiar with Russian perfumes) three out of four girls thought this was an expensive niche-scent. Go figure!

Nose Note #100 A fun fact. They use it in almost every church in Russia to wipe all the glass surfaces of the interiors, the icons and all. If you are an avid layman, you get used to this smell so much it almost falls out of existence, but if you put some thought into it, it does smell really nice. If you would have put it in a fancy bottle, change the name using one of the listed notes and top it with the brand of Tom Ford, you would be surprised... It serves it's purpose nicely, it's a cologne and it endured some 100+ years on the market and its predecessor is the legendary #4711 which Napoleon liked so much, he used to drink it Some rare history behind this fragrance. Some tramps in early 90' used to drink this yellow awfully smelling liquid - it was cheap and widespread, also it contain 75% of alcohole. But the most people of exUSSR used it as aftershave or as replacement of ethanol.

Though I am absolutely sure that the majority of my fellow citizens will think I am raving mad, I must say that Trojnoi is one of the most original men colognes - and also one with the most outstanding standing power.Once you smelled it you will not be able to forget this herbal goodness - the fantastic, almost a fairy tale mixture of medicinal herbs and the amazing nutty base.Years of abuse of Trojnoi in my country (using as a chest rub, drinking it during the abstinence times, etc) made it`s name as well known as notorious. Well - it is time to forget it`s infamous history and look at this marvel of a cologne from a different, unbiased angle.Use sparingly and you will achieve an olfactory nirvana.

Damn, now that's an eye opening experience! I cant believe my eyes! We used to use it as rubbing alcohol/antiseptic back in the days! And i think this is what it was essentially sold for in the Soviet days. Now it got upgraded to the fragrance status?! Niche?!? Amazing! WOW I'd better show this link to my Russian friends...or they will think i am crazy! Oh, and some people used to drink is too...i guess the ones who were desperate for alcohol and had no money for vodka ( this stuff was dirt cheap)....or sort of internal antiseptic...who knows.Lol

From an blindly American standpoint, this is a very rich, old-style scent that reminds me strongly of an old fashioned barber shop. Oily, rich neroli and strong herbal notes make it seem almost greasy in the bottle, but once on the skin it mellows into a light, fragrant herbal scent. I thought it faded rather quickly, but hours later, it popped up again, herbal, fragrant and crisp. Very nice, actually. It IS a bit old fashioned, though, so it will take a certain personality to pull this off. Good luck!

who said it's exclusively for men? i got my 85ml bottle for under 1USD and have been using it every day since..it does smell citrussy in the begginning but then settles into a great creamy and fresh smell..like a classy soap..to me it's as good as (dare I say) aqua di parma. i'm sure if both were given to a non-connoseur he'd note make out any difference. a big fan. perfect for a hot summer day.

This is perfume from Soviet Union. I remember, every , like EVERY, men had this perfume at home. This one, and another one was SHIPR, the only perfumes from SSSR for men. :)
