Mimosa & Héliotrope Poudré

First I tried this in the perfume shop, on my dress, since I had tried two other scents too, one on each wrist. Did not like it very much then - the whole afternoon I thought I had spilled some very sweet icecream on my dress. But today, I tried it on my skin, when I had come to buy the other two fragrances. And I liked this a lot more on the skin... yes, it is a funny and unusual fragrance - smells like ripe ecological bananas. Or even banana jam. But after maybe half an hour to an hour, the flowers and the powder comes through. Very lovely, actually. So I ended up buying this AND the other two fragrances, and then a fourth fragrance as well... since it was 70% off the price! Going to give two bottles away as birthday gifts for my daughters in law. I think these fragrances are well suited for gifts, since they are natural, and like a little special treat, more than usual/ordinary perfumes - in that case I feel you have to know exactly what someone wishes for. But these, you can give away a little more casual, I think. Almost like you do with a scented candle or something like that. For myself, I keep this and Carvi & Jardin de Figuier, eau de parfum concentration. ( This one is eau concentree, a bit stronger, but I don’t think too strong.) Both lovely to wear alone, or to mix with eachother. So happy with today’s shopping bargains!! What a lovely summer day! ( Gonna bake a banana cheesecake with figs... 😃😋🤩)

This is my favourite from 100 Bon. I adore mimosa and heliotrope so much that I keep chasing perfumes with these notes. The first one of this vibe I fall for was Reminiscense Heliotrope but this M&H smells way more natural without that synthetic rubbery almond in RH. If anyone loves warm cozy powders and doesn't like cold metallic powders in iris as I do. M&H will be so good for everyday use as rather Caron Farnesiana (which I love dearly) seems suitable to keep in vault for collection or at least to save for formal occasions. Of course one shouldn't expect it very long lasting at its price point.

This one is amazing! Veeeeery well made! It's a natural fragrance that doesn't make you feel like eatting the stem of the flower. It's a warm fragrance, so one can wear it in any season. It smells exactly like fresh, pink mimosa flowers from the tree, plus heliotrope. It evolves beautifully and the dry-down is like sniffing a box of those tiny, multi-colored, Cip candies, if you know them. I also adore the natural powder note of this fragrance. It's different than any other natural fragrances on the market.

Initial spray is a powdery floral bomb. I felt like I was standing in a florist next to a bunch of yellow flowers. The dry down mellows into a light suntan lotion smell, which makes me can't stop smelling myself.

Such a beautiful vanilla, creamy and fresh smell. 🙂 A natural perfume, that feels incredible. One of my favourite ones so far.

Heaven in a bottle! <3 Starts of with a blast of mimosa and heliotrope, soon the bitter almonds follow and for a tiny little while it turns a bit spicy for a short while before it balances out. It goes through quite a few phases, but the drydown is BEAUTIFUL! I do wonder what the heck the mountain air is? I have no idea if there is some sort of note that adds some freshness, but considering this is a natural perfume I find it a bit ridiculous to not just add the actual note of whatever "mountain air" is supposed to be. But, whatever, I'll not get too sidetracked, what matters is that this is a lovely and special scent. I find it very calming and innocent and clean. Not clean in the classic sense of soapy, but kind of soapy still. That doesn't make sense, but maybe it will for those who have tried this. This is refreshingly unique compared to just about anything you find in the shelves of your typical perfume shop I love finding all-natural perfumes that satisfies my fix. So far I have found 3 by this company that I am super impressed by, and tried quite a few that I didn't like at all (no in betweens for me). Hoping to try a few more. Really, really impressed by 100 Bon. They have reasonable prices and great longevity + sillage for using all natural components. Applaus and hurray!

this is such a strange perfume. it literally smells like almond syrup with floral-y baby powder. sounds good when you hear it, but still a pretty strange combination. at first i cant decide whether to like it or not, but i got compliments wearing it, so i guess it does impressed people. dont get me wrong it's not a bad perfume at all, just....... VERY unusual. the first blast was all almond syrup (the type of almond smells on artificially flavored almond milk/beverages) might be quite sickening for some people, and the powdery smells follows for the most of its longevity. so the accords descriptions above were spot on. i actually find the powdery smells very pleasant, so it does (for me) get better once it dries down.

Wearing this scent makes me feel that I am standing in front of a summer lilac bush, full of bees and butterflies, on a warm, sunny day: It smells just like that bush to me - full of warm, powdery sweetness, but also with a hint of bitterness. If I use it very sparingly, it's the ultimate comfort scent for me. Very creamy and soft. But if I use too much (especially in warm weather), the bitterness comes out too strongly for my taste. - With this scent I once had the experience I'm always hoping for: I sat on my bed reading and suddenly smelled something wonderful - and it took me a moment to realise it was that perfume on my wrist. That's always when I'm sure I really love a scent (but alas, it happens so rarely).

I reapplied Mimosa & Héliotrope Poudré this evening. When I came downstairs my 6 year old screamed "something smells like sunscreen!! Who's applied sunscreen?" It's november and we live in Norway... I went up to my mom and asked if she thought I smelled like sunscreen too, she Said yes, then "is that a perfume!? Why would you want a perfume that smells like sunscreen!?" Oh well, I don't care. I love it and I prefer it in cool weather. Less cloying that way. But yeah, I guess it May smell like sunscreen to some then? 🤷

Heliotrope for those like me who don’t like heliotropine. The fresh blasting opening of green pollens, short but impressive is followed by an almond lotion, discreetly turning ice-cream as time is passing by. It’s not a shy one, don’t overspray, big mistake, you would miss the perfect warm skin effect.

this starts with a floral-powdery cloud of mimosa, almond, tonka and heliotrope. it's powdery and sweet at first. after awhile i get mostly mimosa and heliotrope. i get zero rose, jasmine, woods or 'mountain air' in this. this is so soft and comforting, love it for cold weather.

The mimosa is strong in the opening and dries down to a soft woody powdery scent. Stays close to the skin so it's great for non offensive day wear. This is a really pretty aromatic floral.

Bought this at a discount store. It was supposed to be a room spray so I did. Think it works better as a room spray. It really lasts. I can’t smell much mimosa but I adore heliotrope

Sweet, simple, powdery, easy reach cozy scent. Doesn't last, but it's cheap and fun.

Overall I really enjoy this brand, they have some good hidden gems out there such as the & gingembre, carvi & jardin de figuier and davana & vanille bourbon (The latter smells like vanilla coke!), but this was a complete mess. I wanted it for so long since I love heliotrope and everything powdery, so when I finally blind bought it I was disappointed. As someone else mentioned it smells a lot like sweet, cloying sunscreen. It could easily be confused by something from hawaiian tropic. The heliotrope and almond is definitely there, and it's potent, it steals the show, although someone mentioned they could smell ylang, and I do too. Very much so, even though it's not listed. I am not a fan of ylang because of its "thickness" and tropical smell so this one wasn't for me. On a positive note it sure was powdery, but not in a subtle way like I want it. If you're in it for the so called mountain air note - don't bother. It's nowhere to be seen. It's neither fresh nor ozonic. Just very heavy.

This is a funky one. At first sniff I get something reminiscent of banana candy, then it dries down to some kind of tropical powdery scent. It doesn’t project much and doesn’t last long. I had to try it because I love mimosa fragrances, but this would be way better as a room fragrance. Would love to buy it as a diffuser for the room, as it’s quite mellow and cozy.

This isn't close to Piver Heliotrope on me. I thought with a combo of mimosa and heliotrope, how could I go wrong? This is lacking in the smooth, creamy almond-heliotrope department. The mimosa is very green, not fluffy or marzipan like as found in Farnesiana. It's much sharper and the whole combination ends up smelling like cheap, pink liquid soap on me. I love heliotrope and 99% of the time I find dominant heliotrope scents a safe blind buy. This wasn't one of them. I'm having bad luck with this brand. I've tried 5 from the line and disliked them all. Must be something in their DNA that doesn't jive with my skin. YMMV.

I wanted to love this so much based on the notes, I actually blind bought it online (where it was cheap). Unfortunately, it opens very artificially on me and then dries down to a stale cigarette smell. Why?? :(

Smells like some kind of floral sunscreen. Very powdery and feminine, I almost feel like I'm choking on it, it's so overwhelming. It is very strong for me (I have a sensitive nose).

It's amazing how perceptions differ. When I received my 10 ml test-tube bottle, I thought there was some mistake with labels. To me it smelled like yellow autumn leaves. I could pick very moist almond, and for some reason ylang oil. No mimosa. No heliotrope (to me heliotrope smells like a mixture of vanilla and almond, but the vanilla part was missing). And definitely not powdery. On the contrary, it was so moist, that kept seeing wet autumn leaves in my mind, and because of that I decided to wait until autumn. For the first two hours I wore it today, I still smelled leaves, almond milk and ylang, but then suddenly I started getting whiffs of Infusion de Mimosa Prada. So mimosa is there, but not the sunny powdery cheerful one, rather cold (mountain air and woods?), thoughtful and melancholic. Overall it smell VERY natural.

I bought this on a blind buy after watching a YouTube review. I am a ride or die Heliotrope lover and figured this would be a safe bet. I was wrong. Dead wrong! I sprayed this on my hand and was blasted in the face with bananas. Runt candy bananas. Then there was a fizzy stage of now and laters candy bananas. Then a wording blast of cat pee and wet dog. The drydown was a letdown. After I tried 3-5 minutes all scent was gone. A slight help SLIGHT smell of chemically created Heliotrope. Better off with a $20 bottle of L.T. Piver Heliotrope Lotion. Save your money especially if like me you HATE bananas.

A very pretty combination of mimosa and heliotrope as the name. Unfortunately i'm unable to tolerate the initial notes as heliotrope doesn't always work for me (headache issue). Am gutted as it is a wonderful spring like fragrance which uses natural ingredients as possible. The dry down is very pretty with the heliotrope settling and mimosa appears to have faded. Very longevity on the skin with medium projection.

Wow Jaxie, sounds like she reviewed a bottle that had spoiled. So not fair or accurate. I've not tried this one yet but connect the dots! Good grief folks. If you get a bad bottle of something don't post a review. You wouldn't buy food and leave it out for 2 weeks and then start eating and reviewing the restaurant.

This is a very strong/pungent scent and a strange one. I feel it smells like nuts or almonds. I dont think they succeded with this particular perfume. The drydown now after 2-3 hours is not so bad, a clean, soapy, sweet smell. But the start is ruining it.

Reminds me of the different company pure eve, except a million times cheaper and more pretty floral notes. Very fresh, natural and appealing. It actually is like walking into a garden of fragrant white roses. Lovely

Very bright scent, it's uplifting yet calming. Unfortunately, it fades quite quickly. I wish it had better longevity, because the smell is amazing.
