I agree with the previous reviewer about the iciness of this: but, contrarily, that's a quality I love. This scent screams "I'm extremely glamorous, stay away from me." Very classic aldehydic floral, with a dark, icy edge: the petitgrain isn't too strong or masculine, it works more subtly, neutralising the powderiness and femininity somewhat. Iris and lily of the valley come through most clearly. Absolutely for a grown up lover of vintages, and someone who isn't intimidated by powder, indole, huge projection. I adore it.

Beautiful bottle. Lovely name. Great story. Delicately crafted scent. That said, the scent profile is very much not me. A bit too soapy. And it's got that vintage aldehyde vibe that makes you smell like an unattainable wealthy woman in a beautiful coat. Cinematic, for sure, but I only wear scents that draw people (including/especially myself) toward me, not ones that ice people out.

"Elegant older woman in an expensive coat" as a few others have described it is pretty much my aesthetic so no surprise I liked this. It does smell old fashioned but I like that.

"Genevieve" is interesting. It starts strongly in the character of a 1980s men's fragrance, then slowly changes into a 1970s feminine scent. It's worth trying.

An elegant scent evoking someone fashionable and flamboyant, perhaps a movie star. However, it ́s not meant for me.
