Atlântico

Another 100% unique fragrance here. This is a very interesting scent that did not immediately remind me of the beach or ocean. It starts off and retains a green vibe throughout. The dominant note is stinging nettle followed by resinoids (styrax and olibanum) along with gabanum. It has a green crispness like you are amongst nettles and foiliage that I really enjoy. The resins serve to mask the calone which is not used with a heavy hand. The pink pepper gives it an intial jolt, and the short lived citruses come off like rind to me. Thinking about the headspace, I'd say this has a northern California vibe. I remember camping as a child with my parents in the forest amongst redwood trees, with the beach a 5-10 minute walk from our campsite. It's an avant-garde fragrance that is crisp and green, with hints of an aquatic, and finishes resinous while still maintaining the fresh vibe. -----------------------‐-------------‐------------ Scent 85/100 P.S. if you do not like stinging nettle and grass, you will not like this.

I liked this until I read the reviews and now it's reminding me of thank u, next by Ariana Grande. Then I started to smell the constant switching up between that and the passionfruit note until it dried down. It's more unisex than feminine now but not too masculine

Vividly green, fresh cut grass, but also very clean and fresh with a musky warmth.

I really wanted to love this to the point that I emphatically ignored the negative reviews. For context, I happen to love anything with passionfruit. I am also constantly searching for the perfect Atlantic Ocean scent as I am an Atlantic Ocean baby. It smelled good for about the first millisecond, but the dry-down smells, to me, like the lingering afterscent of a bathroom after a guy has taken a shower, brushed his teeth, applied deodorant...like this generic minty smell that is trying to smell fresh but doesn't? I don't know how else to describe it. Maybe that is the grassy, nettle notes coming through and mixing with musk? It's not a horrifically terrible scent but not something I would ever say, hey, this is what I want to smell like today.

#1336 in my "Tour de Fragrance" The only other scent I've reacted to like this is Etat Libre d'Orange's "Secretions Magnifiques" which I am certain is dipped from the ancient sewers of Paris. I can count the number of scents I've liked that have a passionfruit note on one hand and only because the note is well hidden. It does not add anything good to any scent and here it adds a distinct sour smell that I will not mention here, but it's something for which you'd want your partner to seek medical attention.
