Chinese Tobacco

WOW! If you like tobacco scents you have to try this!!!! As far as I know there is no scent like it - great to have a nice change. It starts with what feels like a bright wine or desert wine for the first minute (which is the ginger just like it’s been sliced in front of you) mixed with a just sliced chilli which blends away and softens into what smells like a slightly boozy, slightly sweet lemon (the sweetness from a subtle amount of vanilla) - with say - imagine a lemon half covered in sugar then rubbed with coriander (not too strong),Tobacco (just enough to make it out) some spices (the coal tar in Effect) and a touch of incense to give roundness and body in the spice. All this on a very subtle woody base (more nose to skin for this). Absolute stinker in performance (in the best possible respect). A bright, mesmerising concoction that undulates and changes every breath you take in yet delivering in fact exactly what the name is! Alternatively I would say imagine being at a Chinese restaurant - and Someone has snapped a spring roll in half and you can smell the 5 spice sauce, and some one has snapped a fortune Cookie in half with a lemon tea held in your face and someone is opening a fresh bag of tobacco nearby. The longer dry down seems to show the spices as a clove even. I took it to work and my colleagues that don’t dig tobacco scents were drooling all over it! The review below works for me too but it seems to beer away from the fact that this has a prominent tobacco. One of the awesome bright tobaccos like Atelier Cologne Tobacco Nuit or Ordmonde Jayne Montabacco. Chinese Tobacco is one of the first perfumes I ever sampled when I started becoming more than a casual perfume enjoyer a few years ago. I chose it based on name alone, as I was looking for the nostalgic scent of spending time at my grandparents' house. I was looking for something that mimicked a mix of my grandfather's cigars and my grandmother's kimonos folded and sitting on her closet shelf. I have yet to find that nostalgic scent, but Chinese Tobacco remains one of my favorite perfumes - one of my signature scents, in fact. I've never smelled anything even close to it after smelling hundreds of perfumes. The closest thing I can compare it to is an old wooden crate from China buried in an antique store, with the scent of its contents - old cigars, spilled and sticky Coca-Cola, tar, incense, and sugared ginger - still lingering. It's intoxicating - deep and resinous. It lasts for hours on clothing and skin. It's not a safe blind buy. And, I'm sure it is a rather off-putting scent for many people, even bizarre Orientalist inspiration aside. But, I just love it. Even if it's not a scent that you like enough to add to your personal collection, I do think it's worth sampling just to appreciate its uniqueness.

Controversial fragrance that received a lot of heat and almost got cancelled on social media. The inspiration is vintage, classic movies taking place in southeast Asia and more specifically, the Opium smoking scene in the movie Apocalypse Now. Opening is a bit challenging up close. I've never smelled opium, but this opens extremely animalic on my skin. Lots of animalic oud to the point that I thought I was smelling hyrax. Oud, spicy peppers, incense, tobacco, and ginger. The ginger hangs a bit and is joined by vetiver into the drydown which predominantly for me, is more woody. I don't get any Tar which I was looking forward to. No vanilla either for that matter. The caveat is that the notes combine to form a Coca-Cola accord. So the sum of the parts is Coca-Cola, resins, tobacco and woods. It reminds me of less aromatic version of Cuba, by the British house of Czech & Speake. They have similar note pyramid as well. That one also starts out with a skanky, raw, barnyard tobacco.. But the skank is turned down here. Masculine leaning and performance is so so. Not great but not terrible. If you like Cola, vetiver, tobacco and wood, check this out. Scent 9/10 Performance 6/10

I bought the collection kit from 19-69 and the chinese tobacco is the one I like the most. It got everything that I like from ALL other fragrances that I love! It got the freshness from the citrus, the depth and cozyness from the vanilla and incense and the edge from the tobacco. It is an amazing fragrance that is sexy, soft, fresh and can be worn at every occasion, a casual or formal one, either with a dressed look or a dressed down look. The fragrance evolves really good and I could smell it on myself for a long time. It doesn’t have the longevity as Tonacco Vanille though. When Tobacco Vanille dries down it smells kind of like chai tea and looses its’ edge, but is still good. Chinese tobacco on the drydown is fantastic and smells more masculine than TV and is more sweet, smoky, and seductive. I would say it fits a man more, but a really confident woman that isn’t afraid to wear a suit or a leather jacket could wear this. I really recommend this one.

This is one of my favorite scents, I totally agree that it smells like cherry cola on cedar. It has a spicy, citrusy open that mellows out to a resinous tobacco-vanilla-incense scent and eventually finishes with the woody cherry cola smell. It definitely leans masculine on the initial spray but it becomes unisex on the dry down. It's just so comforting and warm, though! Unfortunately it does not last on my skin or clothes at all. I ended up going thru a large portion of it very quickly because I enjoy wearing it around the house. It'd be a 10/10 buy again signature scent for me if it wasn't so weak and so expensive. I'm definitely glad to have it in my collection but I have to make sure I don't douse myself in it because you have to if you want others to smell it.

This fragrance is a true original creation. NOTHING above smells remotetly even close to it. Today I am wearing the end of my sample, I kind of hope this stays low key and off the radar so I smell more unique, because I just ordered a full bottle. It is kind of hard to explain this one. I see more men purchasing this than women, although it is actually a unisex fragrance. It has a sweet dryness to it, nothing gourmond, I don;t think I have ever smelled a tobacco note like this before, its not a pipe tobacco, or a smoky tobacco, it is definately a woody, incense, topped off with a touch of sweetness from the vanilla, but damn. This one is hard to describe. Theres a lot of notes making new accords I have never smelled before. It is so unique. I love it.

If I get a full bottle, it will get more use than others. It's a comfortable, easy wear. Tobacco fragrances are rarely perfectly balanced, but this one is. Woody, smoky, all of the regular characters are there, incense, oud, tar, vetiver -- but the ginger, coriander, citrus and peppery elements are what take it from just another tobacco fragrance to something wholly its own. It's hospitable and welcoming, like going to your favorite local haunt, bar or restaurant or smoking lounge, like you're going out to have dinner and conversation with friends. Wear it after the third date to seal the deal (I did, of course I can't attribute that to this, but my boyfriend did say he liked it, at the time).

I don't know but I believe my body chemistry changed big time when I went through menopause. This smells SO good on me! It's a powdery floral right now with a hint of pipe tobacco. I just love it. I will see how the dry down goes after a few hours. If I smell the tar, I'm done. I hate that smell almost more than anything. But I just have a sample and it's just wonderful. I don't. smell the library book or paper smell, nor do I yet smell any wet smell. Just a really soft smell with smooth background spices. But my worry is it won't last long. But right now, I am thoroughly enjoying this.

Fragrance inspired by the scene from Apocalypse Now in which Lieutenant Colonel William Kilgore, after having bombed a beach so he can surf, pronounces the legendary phrase: «I like the smell of napalm in the morning... it smells like victory». The smell of tobacco, very moderate and mixed with citrusy notes, tar and incense, almost as if it were a single scent, strong but moderate at the same time. As if it were the smell of something now destroyed that hovers in the air. One of the tobacco fragrances that I appreciate most. Excellent persistence and sillage.

My signature scent for the past few years. I blind bought this as a birthday gift to myself and immediately fell in love. It's impossible for me to say much objectively about it because I associate it with so many memories. Men love it on me. It's like wearing a man's sweater over a pair of snagged tights, a layer of warmth and comfort and masculinity over something delicate and fiery. It smells like incense. Reminds me of nice hotels and wooden antiques.

Just got this and I really like it. It’s different- in a good way. I enjoy fragrances that takes me on a journey and this one does! I’ve spent the last couple of winter vacations in Tulum and they burn copal incense everywhere. I love that smell. And this reminds me a lot of it. However a milder and more rounded version. Is it something I’d wear on a date night? Probably not. Is it something I enjoy a lot and am very happy to own - hell yes.

From a generous decant. Goodness. I have never smelled another fragrance like it. Completely created a moment: that of opening a dusty Asian cedar chest full of linens, an old book and a single cigarette. Asian spice. Light tobacco then pure dusty cedar. Wonderful length on this note. Very long. Moderate silage and projection and office safe if not overdone. Gave me 12+ hours. Really love this. Will go on my “to purchase” list.

I've owned this for several years and it's funny that one of the best cola fragrances I've tried is one which which wasn't meant to smell like cola. You will notice it after the skanky opening of oud and hyrax. I've noticed there's variations from this house (they're hand made and bottled) so your mileage may vary. Fun scent to wear.

Clean Tobacco, tropical flowers, warm spice... Reminds me of Tom Fords Tobacco Vanilla in how the tobacco is dominating (slightly more so here) but softened by the sweeter scents. A beautiful masc leaning unisex scent.

This cologne is a very original tobacco scent there are few if not none that smell like this. Probably my favorite cologne.

Solid longevity and I love how it develops over the day

Mmmm, yeah - I like it a LOT. A very dry and light sort of tobacco, but fascinatingly perfumed with dry store-cupboard spice smelling more of the Far East than the Middle East, for once - I almost thought hints of star anise and liquorice, but reading that it's vanilla/coriander seed almost makes sense. Warm, orangey-brown, but almost verging on a little sourness at first (?the effect of the citrus I guess?) . It's always nuanced enough to be nice rather than needlessly 'challenging', but is still definitely an eccentric, arty, quirky take rather than a big-budget extravaganza or a sickly-sweet sop to the market. Doesn't smell of smoke, ash, cigars, or cigarettes in any way - no idea how non-smokers would react to it, but it didn't get unpleasantly nicotine-y at all for me. The tar is actually the best bit for me: not at all acrid, more gently reminiscent of medicinal, astringent-but-comforting coal-tar soap, which is a fond scent memory to add to the mix. Though the dry down shrinks close to skin after 3-4h it's still there and perceptible for another two or three - and this phase is even better, for my money, with the deep meld of mellow wood/resin/vanilla even beginning to smell like lovely luxury guaiac, which isn't really in there either. Projection is fairly airy and transparent, it's the odd waft rather than a mobile cloud or scent bubble of your own, but those wafts keep coming and are often wonderful. Although lots might sound familiar, the distinctive spice and tar notes do make it different enough to be worth your while testing. People who like TF Tobacco Oud or Tabac Vanille, or Phaedon Tabac Rouge, or Micallef Gaiac are likely to respond well to it - it has moments that reminded me of all of those - but it's got its own character. Price point is a little steep, but per ml, probably reasonable for a scent which isn't likely to be a huge mass-market hit but is made out of decent stuff by noses who know what they're up to. If you want to smell different, but not right-out-there weird, this is a great thing to while away some time with.

Reminds me of: Suki Essence by Weil. Wet weeds/grass/notebook paper.. That's what came to mind upon first application. I reapplied again, just to be sure, and got the same. Like going to a library and taking out an old book (perhaps from the early 50's and prior), that had been on the shelf for years and spilling a little water on the pages. I recall going to the library when younger and reading books that were printed pre-1960's. The paper of these books was different from today's books with laser printing; even the binding was different. It gave the books from that era a distinct scent, just as this perfume gives off such memories for me. If this is tobacco, it is a very light tobacco. Not the deeply fragrant and sweet pipe tobacco you smell in a tobacco shop, but more a lighter cigarette tobacco. At drydown, there is a slight sense of resin and incense being there. The tar note is barely detectable, its more like a faint scent of asphalt, not gooey, hot roofing tar. I used to work as a roofer, so know exactly what roofing tar smells like, both in summer and winter. If its drydown were heavier, this would be an awesome perfume. As it is, it is barely hanging on, smelling faintly of dried paper that had been previously wet with incense water.

This is a super interesting amber/woodsy scent that I personally really enjoy. When I first smelled it I was a bit turned off by how heavy it was, but going back to it after a few months now has changed my opinion. The story behind it is controversial, but that is the goal of all 19-69 fragrances, and I think they achieved it well here. I definitely smell a lot of tobacco. More similar to a sweeter tobacco than something like a cigarette/pipe tobacco. It really adds to the citrus and peppers in the opening note to really form this juxtaposition fragrance that really stands out. I like this one, and I think this scent would be a great addition to vetiver/oud/tobacco fragrance lovers collection for the fall and winter. It is very complex with a lot of warmth that some other scents struggle to produce. I saw someone relate this scent to a more complex MMM Jazz Club, but imo it is more of the lovechild of Jazz Club and By the Fireplace by MMM, but with a bit heavier on the tobacco. I really enjoy this scent, and when the fall rolls around again I think I might add this one to the rotation, but I think this is a really interesting tobacco scent that anyone who enjoys those warmer scents should try.

I really like this. It isn't quite as unique as I expected, though, because reminds me a LOT of Roja Enigma Parfum Cologne, which is not a particularly original take, apparently, since it's the most upvoted point of comparison up ^there^, but there's definitely a resemblance. They both balance tobacco, pepper, and a distinct cola note with ginger and a touch of citrus, but Enigma has a fizzier, more effervescent quality in the opening that really sells the cola aspect for me, so I prefer that one. I'm sure others will like Chinese Tobacco better, though, so if you've sampled one of the two and are on the fence, I'd suggest a side-by-side comparison to make sure you've found the best option. Since I already own EPC, this won't be a purchase for me, but I think the scent profile is fantastic. Definitely worth a try.

They definitely hit the mark with this one. I get the oriental woody notes, the tobacco and smoky incense and with a touch of sweetness from the vanilla. It’s a very interesting blend and something I would wear out at night. My boyfriend described this one as you’re standing in a dingy back alleyway at night smoking a cigarette, and for someone who isn’t into fragrances to conjure up a rich atmosphere from just a smell means they were very successful! Definitely a great concept fragrance but not too sure how to feel about it on my skin. It made me a little nauseous when I wore it but I’m going to give it more time and see if it’s something I’d wear.

My first impression was citrusy pepper paper. It makes me think of this very specific cheap, light brown paper with speckles of dark brown and black, a little pulpy in composition but rolled shiny smooth by an industrial machine. It opens with bright lemon against dry sweet tobacco, sparkles into pepper and ginger and eventually dries down to a resiny vanilla. I really really like the dry singed quality of the tobacco in this. This tobacco is spicy and zingy, in contrast to the way tobacco can get boozy and drowned out in a gourmand. I also have to say this - the "ooh, ahh, mystical Orient!" story behind this scent is a major cringe.

Not a blind by for those that love Tobacco scents as I do. This is a real Chinese woody scent with a tobacco open. Then the true fragrance emerges and it is very woody. This is like the Eastern cedar smell that you get when you have a true Chinese chest. It is almost like the camphor in Chinese chests. I always loved that smell on my woolen scarves that I store in my chest from Thailand. It is a warm fragrance that I like, but a lot of people won't. Try it and see what you think.

usually im put off by tobacco scents but i wanted to try it because all the other notes were right up my alley. to me its a very pleasant and not overpowering sweet tobacco. reminds me of when u smell pipe tobacco or cigar smoke and it smells really nice. some tobacco scents make me nauseous, not this one. the sweetness is very understated and honestly really sexy. definitely more masculine leaning but i think its just a question of pulling it off. vanillic and woody as it fades.

smells like a well-balanced mix of tobacco, incense, and 5 spice powder. there's a subtle sweetness that rounds this out really well. one of the most unique tobacco scents i own. also lasts forever on my skin. smells unisex but when i wear this, i am the wife of a mahjong master in the corner of a closed restaurant smoking a thin cigarette, waiting for my man to win all the money for my next perfume haul.

I don't like using the word 'unique' but this fragrance is just that. I really like the blend of spicy and fruity notes. I would've considered buying a full bottle, if only the projection and longevity were as good. Unfortunately, it disappears from my skin after an hour. Oh well...

A failure for L'Air Barbes, but this one is at least likeable. Doesn't break any grounds, but for whom looks for a slightly more complex, tobacco-ish and interesting take on MMM Jazz Club, here it is.

Smoky and tarry tobacco, not too sweet. Old crumbling books, but warm. Dry. I like to wear it.

Moderate longevity, moderate sillage. Pepper and coriander are noticeable at the start. The tobacco, tar, and resin accord starts out ashy and sticky but during the mid-point settles into a really nice blend. By the time that happens, though, it starts to disappear, at least on me--and my skin makes fragrances last. The oud is practically non-existent. It's cheap, so I'd consider a FB, but I get so many compliments on another cheapie--Mancera's Red Tobacco--that lasts forever, projects monstrously, and whose sillage can be detected for miles--that why bother? Cigar Rum would be my alternate choice to this one. Totally different, I know, but richer and boozier tobaccos, or well-spiced ones, are my thing. Again, while this is a nice blend, it just doesn't last and has very little by way of drydown, even on clothes.

Tobacco is in your face in the opening, it is somehow "bright" thanks to the blending with lemon. Can't pick up the red pepper to be honest. On the drydown the tobacco notes lie down on a generic wood-resin note with a little incense. It is not bad by any means, but to my nose smells generic woody and quite boring in the long drydown. Somehow relaxing, without surprises, just here and there a little bit of incense and spiceness (can't smell any vanilla). It is ok for the price i suppose, or if you want something smooth and not challenging on the wood side. Sillage and duration are ok, nothing special but it's fine.

The fact that this has a tar note in it and still smells good is pretty astounding. Hats off for simply achieving that. I also get a rubber note in the opening. Despite those two notes, this does not smell like Les Schwab. It smells like tobacco and cedar that have been left out on a lonely highway under a hot, blinding sun. Ok, and maybe there's a rundown auto shop near by. But still. The tar note mostly translates as "heat" to me, and smokiness of the vetiver contributes to that singed quality. Dry down is powdery and easier to love. Not my favorite tobacco, but really interesting and impressive.

An odd fragrance for sure. I get a very bright start, lemon zest with fresh spicy notes, that slowly morphs into ginger. Afterwards comes a cedary woody resinous vanillic drydown with plenty of tonka. I don't know where they got tobacco from, particularly in the opening, I do get the cola reference though. Like other offerings from this house, it feels like a standard composition, in this case in the bright sticky amber genre is being sold under an odd name without really doing much beyond what is expected for the price point. It's not bad though.

It delivers on its promise - an oriental, woody and incense-y fragrance, strong tobacco opening, then it mixes with oud, resins and a bit of vanilla. It perfectly matches the description and the backstory of an opium den. Basically, what I’m trying say - I fully approve it, I just don’t like it. Very consistent to the story, it makes me nauseous - even so, I respect the craft. Not a blind buy but if the notes in the description are what you want, they are what you’ll get

On my first wear, this started green and floral and fresh― not what I was expecting. I also picked up a vaguely minty note? I thought it was nice, but not too special. It kind of just smelled like tobacco, simple. In the drydown, it sweetened and became softer and more feminine. On my second wear, I initially felt torn. Then I felt like it was less tobacco-y than I'd expect from a fragrance with tobacco in the name. Ultimately this bores me.

Smells the way one of those orange cream cokes taste. Very short lived and close to the skin. Not unpleasant at all, but I was looking forward to the tobacco and coal tar aspects and was left disappointed. A very unisex and summer-y scent. Evokes memories of July in the mid-2000s in the small south-midwestern town I grew up in.

I feel neutral toward this scent. A sweet tobacco laced with ginger and fresh citrus, contrasted against a thick, synthetic tar or oud note—note sure which. This might work on the right person, anything is possible. Kind of a middle of the road scent ....literally, I can smell the burnt rubber.

It’s a clean, modern tobacco fragrance with a smooth woody-amber base and a light citrus freshness. Elegant and easy to wear, but it lacks depth and does not feel truly distinctive. Well-made, yet not particularly memorable.

A well done tobacco but the Apocalypse Now inspiration is challenging, so I don't think I can picture myself wearing it.

I've expanded my current interest to locate a tobacco-centric fragrance I can love. Among several other fragrances, it was suggested I try 19-69 Perfume "Chinese Tobacco." Out of the 7-8 tobacco-centric, or tobacco-forward fragrances I purchased and/or sampled (not full bottles), Chinese Tobacco started out promising. Out of the several fragrances I sampled, Chinese Tobacco was also among the most unisex, or feminine leaning. I've always enjoyed tobacco fragrances. But I prefer tobacco fragrances tempered with vanilla, or sandalwood, etc. I am a woman and while I refrain from gender categorizing fragrances, I do prefer a gentler, more "tobacco-flower," fragrance versus a full-on, ashy, burnt tobacco accord. Initially, I really loved Chinese Tobacco. The opening is a pleasant, slightly spicy, gentle tobacco note. Ten minutes into the wear, I detected the most foul & sour note I've ever experienced with a perfume. As I studied the note, I could only attribute the sourness to a harsh lemon accord, which seemed to totally overpower & overtake the fragrance. As the perfume developed, I soon detected a harsh, synthetic, tar-like accord. When combined with the prevelant tobacco & lemon notes, the emergence of tar nearly gave me a headache. What started out as a promising perfume soon disappointed. This is an easy, hard pass.

#1319 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant when I resupplied with 19-69's "La Habana." I have a few of 19-69's fragrances on the shelf. "Miami Blue", "Capri", "La Habana", "Christopher Street/June 28." All likeable, versatile, but moderate performers. So I wasn't expecting superstar performance from this scent, but it's not even close to EDP strength. It's a mild scent while you can detect it, but doesn't make it to lunch, and has barely any sillage. In a hour it just hints of a tobacco fragrance. So this definitely is not worth the $195 they want for 100ml. If you're up to spending $195 for something like this, there are better choices, like Roja Dove's "Manhattan", for roughly the same money. But I prefer Mason Martin Margiela's "Jazz Club" (though it's an EDT), and Frapin's "Speakeasy" at around $85, Al Haramain's "Amber Oud Tobacco" and Rasasi "La Yuqawam Tobacco Blaze" for around $30. And if strong tobacco is your goal, Mancera "Red Tobacco Intense" at around $110 has no equal. This 19-69 scent is basically just a watered down Afnan "Tobacco Rush" at 6X the price. I give this one a failing grade and I wouldn't bother with it.

For now, this is disappointing. Maybe I need to let my sample age and come back after a few months. I was anticipating something tobacco-y, tar-like, smoky, intense and resinous. None of that develops here, instead it smells thin and faint. I enjoy Le Labo’s Tabac 28 more than this. Chinese Tobacco, by contrast, feels diluted and lacking. On skin, particularly on pulse points and in warmer weather, there's something fecal in there that feels entirely out of place and unappealing. If I apply it away from pulse points on the skin, it improves slightly, being woody, dry and cedar-like, with a faint citrus note backing it. Though, this is short-lived, this perfume lasts only about 20 minutes on my skin and I forget what it smelled like entirely. I don't understand the name here, unless they are referring to the distant smell of Panda Express orange chicken. If that is the inspiration, perhaps I can see it. But I highly doubt that is the case. For now, as I wait for this sample to age, it is a shadow of bolder, better fragrances in the tobacco genre.

This is an interesting and unique fragrance. I’ve never really smelled anything like this before. That said, I don’t enjoy it... Opening is a lovely, spicy/sweet tobacco with facets of woods and incense, but it becomes sooo stanky on me when it settles. I can’t handle the barnyard oud type scents and this unfortunately becomes that. It’s very animalic and skanky. A bit like a guy’s pits after a day of sweating. Not what I want to smell like. I think if it didn’t have the animalic oud smell I’d really enjoy this as a woody, slightly sweet spiced tobacco. It’s a pass. 3/10

Was a bit underwhelming, I was expecting to get blasted with tobacco but I found myself sniffing excessively trying to even smell the fragrance in the first place, lol.

Looking at the notes listed on here for this one I was too curious not to try it & even come back to try it again for a second time months later & for me personally, It’s a no thru & thru! I’m a lover of patchouli scents & there’s def a good strong patchouli present , But doesn’t go well with equally good strong citrus notes. TBH I don’t really even detect the tobacco mind you this is via a little luckyscent sample. I really didn’t know what to think while wearing it looking at the notes it consists of, So looked at a few reviews below me & seen a review not far below mine say “scented trash bags” & I’m sorry but don’t believe you can just make shit like up lol..Especially being now I can see that as well...Scented trash bags smell good & all...But no. There was another fragrance I wasn’t too sure about that I did a review on recently I had mixed feeling about but grew on me as I wore it was Maison Criveli Patchouli Magnetek..Which was not like this one But was patchouli and a different citrus & it worked out much better, This tho I personally just cannot get down with

This fragrance found me at a very Chinese time in my life. In all seriousness though this smells almost offensive to me in the opening. After spraying this on my wrist, I was wondering who had the idea of bottling the scent of a wet sock and was on my way to scrub it off when I was interrupted by my doorbell. I was distracted for a few minutes unwrapping my package that had arrived and when I caught a whiff of my wrist again, the scent had totally transformed into a comforting, warm hug of spices. You're familiar with this scent if you grew up in an Asian household and have ever rummaged through the spice cabinet. This one is special and the enemies-to-lovers arc I had with this totally unexpected.

19 69 is an interesting brand and I love their storytelling! And the inspo for this...if you go with their -- late night meal in a small local back alley chinese restaurant with lit up patrons -- on their website story is a good one. An ashy tobacco and red pepper up top drying down to a clay like scent. Not a love but not a not love. Probably a pass on a FB though

The notes listed are misleading and deceitful. I was expecting a strong and rich tobacco fragrance with Oud, spices, and resins. It's not the case at all. Honestly, this is boring. Tobacco, some spice, and a slight sweetness from whatever resin they put in here. Oud? There's none. It's a flat, designer level tobacco scent.

I thought that this was going to be extremely sweet but i got slapped with a dry, wood scent with rubber and tar. As it dries down i get a soapy quality that was not expecting. I'm very intrigued by this and i will try it again.

on paper this was very promising, a smooth tobacco with a hint of sweetness, reminiscing of jazz club. then i sprayed on skin and it went downhill. like really ripe citrusy old tobacco. not a fan, 3/10

This smells like gasoline . I though it was just me so I sprayed some on my husband just in case. He ran in the bathroom and washed it off after about 5 minutes. It’s awful
