Rainbow Bar

Rainbow Bar is one of those masculine style perfumes that works year-round. There is a fresh spicy and aromatic zip that works in hot weather and there is a Christmas kind of vibe from the cypress, the booze and the warm spices that makes it work for wintertime as well. I usually don't like sea notes in perfumes but here it is not overdone. I also get the nice woody notes here as well. Rainbow Bar is blended so perfectly that nothing overpowers and all the elements act together in perfect harmony. A woman could wear this but for me this is a masculine fragrance. There is just a touch of fruity sweetness here, but this is not a sweet perfume. Aromatic, fresh spicy, warm spicy, boozy, fresh. It is a real winner. Just upgraded this to a love. Familiar yet new at the same time. That is when Niche shines, when it does the familiar in a new way and Rainbow Bar is a shining example of that type of execution. I will love this on my husband.

This is my go to going out scent. It initially spray as a very citrusy/spicy scent, almost peppery. Then as it dries down it really starts to take place as you add a nice undercurrent of bourbon, basil, and clove. You really smell the bergamot, cedarwood, and clove. If you are a fan of a nice night scent to make you feel like a sexy mf, this is a go to. This definitely leans more male than some of the others in the 19-69 collection, but I think anyone could pull this off with confidence. It works in any situation and any season so it's great if you just work off one bottle. My only "complaint" is that is starts off really strong with the sillage but that quickly dries down to within arms reach. Also, the company is super nice and they upgraded my 50 mL purchase to 100 mL for free because they ran out of 50 mL bottles.

I have tried all the 19-69 perfumes, love/like many, and own several full bottles, including this one. It’s bright, sharp, green and herbaceous, but then doesn’t just seem like a straight up green scent. The opening is very attention grabbing, seem like a lot is going on, but it all comes together harmoniously. I wanted to, and thought I would, like Purple Haze from this brand more, but to me this is kind of a more interesting, focused, and better performing version of it. Both have a woody/green/herbal this going on, but this one is just so much more interesting and versatile.

Spicy-sweet, herbal, and woody. There’s a ton jammed in here, but the blend is smooth and harmonious. Happy to smell it all day. It might be *too* pleasant, especially for the price. The product storytelling promises a sweaty edge, like the Rainbow Bar in 1978—“I met a girl at the Rainbow Bar/She asked me if I’d beat her...”—but the result is tame enough for tourists, like the Rainbow Bar today. I don’t want to talk about it! EDIT: it’s growing on me as an aromatic wintertime potpourri bowl with a citrus twist. Warm spices can easily get too sweet. Might buy for that reason.

Omigod! Sweet fruits over whiskey for a mixed drink vibe. Some aquatic freshness, plus green and herbaceous textures give it a summer night on the Pacific coast, outdoor tiki bar in paradise kind of feeling. Redolent of a perfect summer night but I’d enjoy it any time and season, filling a similar need as Light Blue but niche-ified. Utterly attractive, sophisticated and intriguing, just perfectly balanced. Sample nearly done, I need me a bottle!
