24 Elixir Azur

#795 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is my 7th Scentstory "24" and they've all been great so far. So is this one. A nice, crisp freshie for Summer wear. Car pool, elevator and office safe. If Mont Blanc made an EDP of "Individuel" it would smell like this and I'd own it, but I gave away the "Individuel" EDT because the performance was terrible. Glad I found something similar with some staying power. It's not super potent, but lasts till lunch. Fruity and powdery, not very musky, light on the wood and amber. A clean, outdoor, fresh from the shower kind of beach wear scent from a line that's getting hard to find, no doubt because the TV show they named it for is off the air. Got this one from Perfumeonline.ca. Have "Go Dark" on order. Reviews on "Ambrosia" say its very feminine so I may skip that one. Still searching for "Ice Gold." I think this is a safe blind buy at the price if you can find it.

I tried this Elixir Azur from a fragrance exhibition and it's quite incredible how they managed to make a fresh fragrance yet very powerful, different and long lasting ! Nice work !

ScentStory 24 Elixir Azur is a 2017 release and one of the “Elixir” flankers of the now-discontinued 24 line, and it seems referential to several “blue” fragrances. It feels like a mix of Versace Dylan Blue, JPG Ultra Male, and even Bleu de Chanel (perhaps the EDP), and in that respect, it feels a bit like a designer formula, somewhat synthetic, but still reasonably dense, and an interesting variation of that formula. The note listings seem to vary by source but what I get from them in common is lavender, fruits, woods, amber, tonka, vanilla, and musk. So it’s a little sharp, sweet, woody, and musky, but does fit a somewhat modern interpretation of the men’s “blue” fragrance. Even though the US-based FragranceX carries most of the ScentStory line, Elixir Azur is not currently available on that site, but IS available on the Canada-based PerfumeOnline for $60CAD for 100ml. It’s a good fragrance but I’m not particularly moved by it—still, the performance and value are both good, and it’s another good entry from the line. 7 out of 10

It's not my favourite from the 24 line but I don't regret getting it. The 7UP-smelling green bottle may be a better fragrance overall. This one starts off with a 90s and even 80s vibe. The opening actually reminds me a little of Antaeus by Chanel, a favorite of mine back in 1983. On dry-down it morphs into something mode subdued, generic and clean smelling. You'll leave a pleasant scent trail which will remind people of dryer sheets. You may even get a compliment or two from people. Not sure if I'd wear this in very high heat though.

Sadly, to me this is pretty underwhelming and disappointing. I got this as a sample with an online purchase of another fragrance. When I looked up the notes I was very excited be because it sounded great. Unfortunately I don’t get many of the notes listed and almost zero projection. I would just recommend trying it first. It might click on your skin, but it’s definitely not on mine.

So i bought this because of how great the reviews were, and it fell very short of the reviews. To me this smells like alcohol with a mix of juniper and woods with a slight watery undertone. Best for 40+ year olds. Definitely do NOT recommend this for the younger crowd.

Not horrible. I was hoping I wouldn't have to resort to using the word "bubblegum" to describe this, but there's really no way around it. Elixir Azur features an intense bubblegum accord as its central theme, the smell of original, pink bubblegum, but it's made more herbal and aromatic through the use of some added spices and a slight tanginess (like a tangy orange note). The note pyramid doesn't do a great job of capturing how this smells. There's certainly musk, and lavender and vanilla/Amber, but they're all very much blended into this one spicy-fresh pink bubblegum scent. Somehow the composition avoids smelling juvenile and that's probably because while it's sweet, it's not sugary or cloying. And although Azur is synthetic in the chemically manufactured, obvious sort of way, it's not especially harsh or abrasive either, so unless you're sensitive to aroma-chemicals that aspect of it probably won't bother you. There are lots of scents which, due to their synthetic nature, don't smell so great up close, but they give off a nice aroma from a few feet away. Such is the case with Azur, which feels sort of rough and scratchy up close but pleasant from a distance. And while I personally might find its smell a little annoying or tiresome over the course of a day, it could work well for the right person. It's pretty well-composed and it performs very well, with strong projection and good longevity. In comparison to other fragrances, Azur reminds me most of 1Million. Similarly, it seems well-suited for a bar or club environment, or any casual occasion. I'm going to give this a thumbs up overall, but definitely recommend sampling it versus a blind buy. While decent quality, the linearity of the fresh bubblegum accord may grate on one's nerves over time, and if you've already had your fun with 1 Million, this may feel a little dated, or behind the curve. EDIT: I wore this again today and I really enjoyed it. While I don't think this is necessarily a GREAT scent, it has a really pleasant quality to it and I think 24 achieved what they had set out to do, which was create a kind of sweet, fresh, and cheerful men's scent. Again, what impresses me about this is that somehow they managed to make it feel mature (enough), and they never let the sweetness get out of hand or become too much. As a result it pushes the boundary of sweet and youthful, but never crosses it. I also think a light application might be key with Azur, just a few sprays. I feel like a heavy application is what will bring out some of its potentially annoying aspects. There will be many people who don't like this simply because it fits a certain style to a tee--but within relation to its genre it's quite capable and pretty well done. Just for kicks I sprayed Azur on one hand and Invictus on the other. In comparison, Azur is fresher, brighter, and more uplifting. It's also sweeter and a bit smoother. I'm not saying it's necessarily better--I'd have to wear both a few times and compare the overall experiences to do that--but as far as its smell and register, this is how it compares (just to give you an idea).

Title: Intoxicating= A+ Where do I even start with this stuff... I recently got 24 Ambrosia and was blown away by that one. My first 24 bottle was 24 Gold, and then 24 Gold Oud. Both were exceptional so I decided to check out other 24 bottles. Imagine my surprise when I got 24 Ambrosia, which was incredible, it encouraged me to buy this one here, 24 Azur, and now, 24 Azur is encouraging me to buy the rest of the complete 24 by scentstory lineup, and I’m not joking. Upon first spray, Violet notes are strong and apparent, it has a woody petrol vibe, but nothing like Fahrenheit by Christian Dior. I checked the pyramid and it says there’s no violet in here, but it sure feels like there is. So I sprayed myself and got some on my clothes. What took place next was some next level mind boggling that left me speechless. Starts out with wood, then violet, citruses/truityness, spice, and then musk and vanilla.The strawberry and bergamot works extremely well to my nose, and I never smelled that combo. Which leads me to my next point, originality. I’ve never smelled anything quite like this ever...I counted my collection the other day, and out of the 498 bottles I have, I got nothing like this. It’s an aromatic beast that demands compliments. There’s a reason why the “This perfume reminds me of” portion on the page is almost empty and filled with utterly ludicrous suggestions ...Are you kidding me? Jean Paul Gaultier? Sculpture? Come on trolls..Try harder.. This smells not even 1% percent close to those suggestions. I own both of those colognes, and they’re complete polar fucking opposites, it’s not even funny. It’s almost the equivalent to everyone saying that every blue scent smells similar to Blu De Channel, and all of you know what I’m talking about. Anyone who’s ever smelled this on me has never had anything negative to say. One woman I know literally buried her face into my shirt telling me that this is her favourite cologne that I wear. It makes sense that I’d like this, because the same designer of 24 Ambrosia made 24 Azur “Jórdi Fernandez”, he also made Mont Blanc Explorer as well. I sometimes wonder if fragrance designers read the reviews..Just in case they do, Hey Jórdi, you absolutely nailed this one out of the park buddy, a grand slam if you will. In my opinion this is almost a perfect scent, a 9/10. The only flaw with this stuff is that you can suffer from nose blindness, but trust me, it’s there and lasts a while. I got up to 8 hours in a hot summer day. Lastly, I got the tester, so worry not if you cheap out and not get the original bottle, the tester is just as potent. If you’re hesitating to blind buy this, don’t, it’s a winner. Laslty, this Is one of the rare times that I will say here on Fragrantica that everyone who’s praised this scent in the reviews, was bang on, and because of all of your praises, you allowed me to make an exceptional blind buy. So for that, thank you!

Bubble gumish as it starts off and as it dries down, the more herbal, and musky qualities become more prominent. I guess if I were to try to tell a story or a image to imagine would be, youre out in some field or the grass or whatever, and your just taking a nap out in the sun. Chewing on some bubble gum, and everytime you get a gust of wind, you get herbal smell from all the plants around you tickling your nose. Slowly but surely you finish your bubble gum, you still have a bit of that sweetness left, but now again the herbal sorta smell is much stronger, and you have more of a sweet musk coming out. Almost like walking through a store and you walk down the mens aisle of shaving cream, shower gel etc. I feel like the name and the color are a bit misleading as when I see it I imagine something darker and more sexy to say. But at the same time I like sweet scents so visually misleading or not it smells fine to me.

I am a huge scentstory fan I own 7 of there fragrances this being my most recent and this stuff is unique and well blended like any of there other fragrances. I get this really nice minty musky kinda smell with a touch of sweetness and it works really well lemme tell you. Easily 8+ hours of longevity with better then average projection. 8/10 respectively.

Every single review sounds like they're talking about a completely different fragrance. Not helpful, when I'm trying to decide whether to make the blind buy or not.

Just received, tried once, one word. Horrible. Smells like old laundry dryer sheets. Maybe its me but I can't see how anyone could like this smell. Very chemical
