Per Se

What an impressive beautiful laundry detergent scent. You will smell fresh even on the most hot sweaty day. Initial blast is a bit overwhelming, but it is well worth it. It is insane how well it last on the skin! Sillage is not massive, but perfectly noticeable. It is really one of the top scents with such fresh beautiful profile. Also, I'm not a fan of violets in perfume and I do not detect them here, so don't be afraid to try if you are like me. Much recommended ❤️ Update: we have had very hot weather recently and Per Se performed beautifully. Yes, initial blast is a bit sharp but soon passes. And then you just smell beautiful, clean for hours, no matter how sweaty you are. Event wore to an outdoors festival, with no showers, only a lake, sleeping in a hot tent, etc. And it made me feel so clean and fresh. Top notch, beats many other clean scents in lasting power and cleanliness/freshness.

The perfect clean-laundry scent. I have been looking for this perfume without knowing it existed. It is indeed similar to others perfumes in this category, but, for some reason, it just click, fits perfectly. Where others seemed fine this stands out. It is hard to describe, because those sopay-laundry clean scents have almost all the same profile, but this one has a beauty I just can find in it. It is clean, laundry like, but also has something else, something bright, elegant. It is not as sharp as others, and also stays on the category of clean perfume without adding some other nuance or note that turns it into some other profile. Blanche is sharp. Sun Bleached is sunny. Love-O-Matic is bubbly. Bubble Bath is creamy. White Crush is savoury. But this one is pure and bright cleanliness. Perfection in the kingdom of soapy clean perfumes.

I can understand the Blanche comparison, but if you’re chasing that true soapy, laundry-detergent DNA, this isn’t it. I didn’t catch that at first, but revisiting it a few weeks later and doing a side-by-side on each arm, it’s clear why so many people push back on the comparison. That said, I actually prefer this—and I think you will too if you love iris/orris. On my skin, the orris really shines, taking on a slightly papery quality with a soft, almost leathery nuance (as another reviewer noted). For those reasons, Per Se holds the top spot for me in the musky, aldehydic, airy, laundry-adjacent category.

This is a bright and soapy aldehydic woody scent. 2787 smells clean, mature, sophisticated and beautiful. For me, it leans more feminine. The house is unknown to me but I really like this! The performance is good for the scent profile but the price point is very high!

a beautifully done and crafted clean olfactive profile with hints of green elements from the bamboo, this is one of my favorite perfumes i have come across in a long time.
