Sónar

This perfume is so unique. I love it- wearing it in winter all the time. This is the only time when I cannot distinguish the notes at all, for me it is just a perfect complete scent. It is not for everyone and definitely is not a simple scent- very soft and strict at the same time- more feminine. Smells like a salon of a new car, confidence, cold megapolis. For me, it smells like success. I imagine an assertive brunette, dressed in black, driving her new car in a big rainy city to her work. Her house and life are minimalistic- there is no place for wrong things and people. Very mature, complicated smell- same as a person, that likes it. IT IS ONLY FOR THE COLD, RAINY WEATHER

I don't really find this very weird, and certainly not repulsive! I think the opening is great, but it doesn't smell as good up close. What wafts up to my nose is awesome though. It is unique, but unless you know the notes I doubt you'd find it so strange. Very wearable, at least from my testing. I think you have to like metallic notes to enjoy this though. I love the tuberose in the heart! Drydown is what the notes promise; a woody metallic vanilla. I wish I could say more, but this is more a note to self than a review since I have only tested it twice. This is now on my wish list and hopefully I can return for a proper review.

Phenomenal release - very original with great performance parameters, although feels a little derivative if one has Comme des Garcons 2 or Nasomatto Blamage in the collection since it feels like the same DNA with vanillic sweetness added. Still, this has the highest quirkiness factor and longevity of the bunch, so it might be the best choice. Must try for the weird fragrances collectors!

I actually own it, I've bought it totally impulsively, but since then, cannot stand it. Maybe the time for us is yet to come. On me, it smells exclusively metallic. Plus, a little bit of spilled beer. Yes, it is strange and weird, but it is also very repulsive. It has something so non-human in it, it makes me sad. Not good, not wearable, but still a work of art.

It’s like listening to an electronic act in a middle-sized venue near the iceberg. It also smells as if Tubereuse Astrale was downloaded and cloned into cyberspace. Very original, but also not completely alien. I agree there is slight similarity to Liquide. Overall a lovely experience, really opens up your imagination.

Swiftly becoming a favorite of mine. I tested it a few times in the past, and though intriguing, I had deemed it a little too strong for my taste. However, after wearing it on the skin all day, I realized how wearable it actually is. I also love to smell myself throughout the day. Very addicting scent!

phenomenal. my partners perfume, drives me crazy everytime they wear it! smells SO good! smells like making eye contact with someone at a party and it just feels right. i’ll never get over this scent, my intro to niche fragrance

Bought a sample after reading about it, mainly because I was interested in this "industrial", "burnt rubber" vibe it says to have. I can not say I'm disappointed, even though it's much more sweet and floral than I hoped for. Still, despite the sweetness it's not that "pleasant", in a good way I mean. You definitely have the rubber, and the citrus makes the tuberose less pushing. I am not a huge fan of tuberose but in this perfume it adds something important I think. The opening is citrus and rose pepper, soon turning to sweet rubber and tuberose. I can sense the metal but can not find any beer, despite the description. Definitely for cold weather, in summer the tuberose would be way to much. The industry need to be chilled. It smells weirdly good. First test on my skin was "oh, not for me" but the more I smell it the more I admit to myself that it might actually be something to wear, to surprise and even maybe confuse my surroundings (what is that smell? why do I like it?). Overall an interesting perfume, unlike most things I've smelled so far. Will probably try more scents from 27 87, they've catched my nose.

Before starting, I’d love to state that this brand is still too underrated, and we’d better consider it more, as it’s really worth the try. Sónar by 27 87 is impressive for the unusual twist it gives to the tuberose and because it is so well blended and crafted that I can’t understand why it isn’t more successful. The opening that smells of rubber, tires, and a sneaker shop is surprising in how realistic it is and, in some ways, repelling. Yet when it settles down, dampens, and softens, it becomes a whole with the tuberose. A vague hint of metal and wood lingers in the background, but mostly, it smells like summer that has yet to start when it's not so hot. I've never been to the Sónar Festival in Barcelona, so I don't know if the choice of the name (after the aforementioned festival) is correct, but if it is, it must be a really good one.

I was real excited to try this! Paper sample: yeup, it's beer, tuberose, and metal. It's SO much more wearable than the notes make it seem, it's all wonderfully blended and not harsh at all, I find it rounded and soft: the beer doesn't smell fizzy, acrid, or pungent; and the metal isn't sharp or like a blood-tang, it sets the backdrop and binds everything together... how do I describe it? The metal is solid but not sharp, nothing like a coin or a railing or even alloy fumes... a metal musk? You just gotta smell it yourself. Also despite the metal and beer notes, it's also not cold or anything. Room temp or warm? Nice stuff and really unique, haven't smelled anything else like it.

um... wow wth!! the festivals i spent time at as a teen smelled much more foul, like sneaking vodka into tesseire grenadine bottles, warm stale beer drips in empty plastic cups, huge sweaty drugged up guys, puke, soggy straw, porter potties baking in the sun —so poopy but also extra blue industrial detergent smell— and somehow super fruity. this takes all of that and alchemises it into something very weird, very pretty. vanilla and tuberose feels like a nod to sunscreen. i love how symbolic yet literal and out of pocket the metallic-rubber note feels, and i think that with the saffron it’s the festival pass into the heart of this fragrance.

This smells so much like RED+MA Blood Concept, except it's less sweet and a tad more bitter, and lasts much longer. Definitely very metallic and woody, I'm just not a fan of the white florals it's too sharp, would have been the perfect fragrance without it.

The first thing I registered was saffron, very metallic and bold. Then a lightly sweet-leaning feel comes in, along with medicinal-floral nuances and a bright lift. There’s also a slightly aldehydic structure. The scent feels quite industrial and interesting. It would have been much better without the woody-amber backbone, because it keeps warming up as it develops. I wanted it to stay colder. That’s when it could have felt truly otherworldly. Instead, toward the end it loses its uniqueness and starts resembling the overly popular saffron-vanilla-amber profile (liquide, dirty heaven, etc). Tag(s): metallic, saffron, sweet, ambery-base

On first spray it smelled clean and I liked it! On the dry down it smells like a metallic hamster cage. I do see how people can wear this but it’s a no for me.

This is the worst perfume I have ever smelled in my entire life, oh my god. It makes me gag every time I smell the sample which came in the discovery set I purchase 2 months ago. How can this be a “perfume”? It smells literally to the dirtiest armpit of a person who eats a lot of species, it reminds me of the smell of the cumin and curry together. It’s simply DISGUSTING. Hell no!

I don't even understand how this happened, but I got such a massive and disgusting powder overdose. I actually felt like I was going to throw up because of how strong the powder smell is. I hate it 100% and it won't scrub off.

In Sonar you want to smell like Sonar. If you've been to Sonar you kind of get this. This smells just like electrified air in a summer music festival. This smells like an orange sunset in an industrial techno rave where the loudest techno is playing and you are feeling the sun rays caressing your skin and darker hours coming while music is blasting in your ears. Sonar is very interesting, and unusual, from the notes you might think 'What is this????' but actually it is a juicy, berry-like perfume with metallic hints that are not repulsive, on the contrary, they make this perfume interesting. You find yourself sniffing this on your wrists over and over again to make sure it still has this weird unusual note. And this note is the note that creates an electrified feeling, the sweet juicy berry scent turns a bit sharp, edgy, and with a darker side. So just like Sonar music festival - where you are having the most amazing, happy time with your best friends and making new friends and making the best memories of your life, but you sometimes get this edgy feeling because of the industrial location and dark techno or house music, Sonar perfume has a fluffy and happy side - the juicy sweeter side, which is darkened by the most unusual metallic hints that create this intriguing feeling that creates this rush of emotions.

This struck me as very unique, artistic, and hyper-modern. It conjured up many images...on one hand it made me think of modern architecture, with large open indoor spaces and very clean exposed metallic surfaces. Or I imagine this is what the squid game dormitory smells like after a good clean. It also made me think of someone who likes shiny new metallic gadgets, or someone who likes going to edm festivals, and can get there in an expensive car🫰 On my skin the metallic note remains present. I could see how some could find facets of this scent repugnant. I received this as a free sample, and was super curious given the notes listed. I kept going in to smell it, but ultimately had to wash it off. It was not my jam, but I appreciated the artistry here. It leaned slightly masculine imo not strictly unisex.

I said OH My GOD! when I sprayed for the first time, on my skin it was a fruity floral and sweet (It reminds me to a scent of grapefruit which I hate but I do loveeeeee in this fragrance), in the middle note it was a sweet floral scent and a little bit metallic in a very good way for me. It takes so long on my skin even though it is not loud but it makes me feel so good all day. I am an LGBTQIA+ so when I wear this fragrance I feel like I am wearing a pink linen dress and walking to the subway, this is so amazing!. I do want to purchase the full bottle and it will be my signature scent.

The back of the stage, the spilled beer, the vibrating heat, the hum of overheating cables, the metallic smell of electricity saturating the air. Sonar is the smell of sweaty freedom, of T-shirts clinging to your skin, of bass bouncing between your ribs. It is Trainspotting without heroin, the perfect moment when the song you've been waiting for starts and you think, okay, I'll remember this one forever. this smells like a pen that explode all over a brand new tire. very inky and metallic and not in a good way. i genuinely caant understand how some people can like this type of smell. its giving me a headache after only a couple sniffs.

It is not creamy tuberose. a very rhubarb-gardenia-vetiver molecule has a prominent presence. beer nuance and metallic nuance from saffron make this fragrance unique. but somewhat reminds me of Jour d'hermes (Hermes).

It's a very interesting scent. I completely agree with Thai_Florist, it's an amazing perfume ! I bought a bottle and I'm so happy with it <3
