Bodhi Language

I have sampled a few of 4160 Tuesdays fragrances now (at least 10) and so far they have been very hit and miss. For me when they hit they really hit, when they miss they really miss! This is a massive hit for me, deliciously woody with a real coconut and rum vibe to start, it borders on gourmand territory for which Sarah is famous. As this dries down it becomes less sweet, but still maintains that unusual opening. Very different, definitely get sample first, but I absolutely love it and lasts for ages.

Honestly, this isn’t going to be like much else you’ve smelled before. But in a totally good way! Perfect smooth, woody perfume with hints of rum and despite not being listed, I get hints of coconut. It’s so sleek and enveloping. It’s actually almost perfect. So unusual and so convincing. An instant love.

This is a winter scent that works best in summer, I'd call it a "tropical summer oud". The opening is very fun, coconut rum is the main note on top with the bergamot coming across more like pineapple - what could be more delicious in the heat of summer? The woods are deep, heavy, thick and humid; think tropical rainforest rather than trees along the shoreline. The fun opening leads onto something a touch more sophisticated with boronia peeking through making the heart notes very sweet and floral. This all develops into something intoxicating and sensual in the dry down, no doubt it's the white oud. I am a huge fan of oud and thick woody scents in general so I ended up buying this blind. It lasts a good while, projects a fair distance and is squarely unisex. I'm not head over heels in love, but very deeply enamoured. Superb job, 9/10.

A creamy white wood with a splash of coconut rum. The buddha wood has its own unique soft woody spice to it, which is met with cedarwood and white oudh, and polished with a malt-hops note. An ambery whisky adds some interest. Although there is no coconut note listed, the combination of creamy white wood and amber spirits gives an impression of a coconut rum vibe on the base. Bodhi Language is a relaxing and interesting unisex wood scent. I can see this fragrance fitting many occasions as it's so versatile and likeable.

I got a free sample of this with an xmas gift and instantly knew I had to have a bottle of it. It's sweet, delicious raspberry and chocolate sherbert powder housed in a wooden box. It sparkles on my skin like popping candy on the tongue, then mellows to become smooth and resinous. Easily identifiable as a 4160 creation, but one of her best ones in my mind. Really, really gorgeous, and long lasting on my skin.

Quick citrus flash into booziness, slightly sweet with the florals, both these bring about images of the boozy fumes from an open bottle of whisky, as it develops I get a creaminess and a caramelized malt, there is woodiness but its in the background for me giving a sort of backdrop to everything else.
