Dandelion Musk

Hm. Intriguing. At first, it is rather awful, and then subtly changes to something really lovely: musky and sweet and floral fresh. On a skin level, and after 25 minutes, it is just lovely. It might be that chamomile at first? It’s actually pretty stinky, if you ever smelled it in nature, not in a perfume 😂. I would give it 4 out of 5, for soft musky floral at the dry down, and originality 👍

You know how sometimes when you’re out in nature on a warm and sunny day and everything looks beautiful, and the weather is perfect? And then you’re walking along and there’s this kind of subtly rank, nasty smell that smells like bugs, dead plants warmed up by the sun, and a little bit of dirt? Then you keep walking and that scent gets farther and farther away? Honestly, that’s what this fragrance smells like. It’s not bad, but the musk in this just has this REALLY natural quality to it. Ultimately this is not for me.

Me: I like this one more than Dandelion Butter by Clue---less of that sickly sweet saltiness underneath. But, I think I just might not be a fan of dandelion notes. I'm really not sure how to describe this one aside from a very generic base with that funky dandelion on top. I do love me some earthiness, but I didn't really get any of the dry, herbal earthiness that other reviews mentioned. Him: I said the last one (Vetevirio or soemthing) was musky, but maybe this one is more musky? What does musk even mean? My girlfriend tried to explain musk to me tonight at the bar but seems like there's quite a bit of history to it. Also, no idea what this means, but smells a bit crunchy after the fact.

Absolutely awful as a perfume. Smells like mouldy, wet grass. Good longevity though, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Had to give this a moment to soften because that first spray was devious... A dirty earthy musk absolutely obliterating my nostrils. After that thankfully went away, I got a really pleasant and cozy chamomile + creamy woodsiness. There are definitely some sharp green components of this scent that make it less accessible. Pretty stark lack of any sweetness here, which seems aligned with the perfumer's goal to evoke something more photorealistic. Approach-wise, reminiscent of Perfumer H's offerings though their execution exceeds that of 4160's here.
