Rain Tea

One of my favorite things. It's so simply beautiful, sweet, refreshing, energizing, and just lovely. I feel like a better person when I wear this perfume. The honey and tea are so realistic. I get some jasmine as well, but that could be the chrysanthemum and acacia? I don't know what those smell like, whoops. And the RAIN! This perfume has gotten closer to perfecting the rain note than any other I've smelled, and it is absolutely beautiful. I wore this around my boyfriend for the first time a little while ago and he actually said I smell like tea and the rain outside. I told him the name of the perfume and we jumped up and down. It's a very delicate fragrance that still lasts for hours, and is very detectable while still being unobtrusive. Such a happy, lovely, simple scent that wears perfectly. I wear it all the time and always when it rains.

I was on the hunt for the perfect realistic tea scent so I sampled chasing scents Rain Tea, Tea Service, Wulong Cha, One Day’s Osmanthus Tea, and Nomad Tea. I ended up buying Nomad tea And Rain Tea. Rain tea is a realistic cup of warm tea sweetened with honey. It’s not too sweet imo. It sits close to the skin but is long lasting. Tea service was much brighter/sharper on first smell and spicier. Rain tea smelled more like a simple cup of tea to me, which I liked and stays a true cup of tea from first spray to dry down. Nomad tea, by contrast, is a cold crisp cup of sweet mint tea. Wulong Cha does not smell like tea at all (not a fan of this one) and Osmanthus tea is a nice white floral but tea is not the star.

This is so unbelievably delicate and beautiful. Chamomile, honey, and white tea with a good dose of warm almost nutty barley. I adore perfumes that feel like the last warm days of summer, and this captures that liminal feeling beautifully. It's quite herbal and has a hint of bitterness which balances out the sweetness of the honey nicely. I'm usually not a fan of honey scents as they can become cloying, but this one is kept in check. It really does smell like tea in the absolute best way and even has a lovely atmospheric edge. Golden, fuzzy, and brings an immediate smile to my face.

A honeyed tea scent with some earthy and herbal accords. Opens with a freshly herbal floral blend and hints of spice that quickly becomes that very handed honeyed tea. The rain notes add a damp musky air to the background of the scent that feels reminiscent of a rainy day. The tea is a gorgeously aromatic note like a freshly brewed cup, in your hand as you outlook a window in a reading nook and it rains outside. The dry down is a bit drier with that barley, has a hint of tartness from the longan berries, and is overall a cozy honey forward tea scent with some earthiness to it.

The opening is soft and floral with a strong hit of honey. It’s warm, steamy, and a little polleny. I get dried chamomile, white tea leaves, and a bit of hay. I’m honestly addicted to it. This would be perfect to wear on a rainy day when you want to feel cozy and comforted. Even though the honey stands out, it’s not cloying or overly sweet like some reviews suggest. It’s really well balanced. 9/10: I love honey fragrances, and this one is just right. I’d love to have a full bottle.
