4711 Acqua Colonia Intense Wakening Woods Of Scandinavia

It’s such a shame that people don’t shed light on how utterly beautiful this is! I bought a tiny 50 ml of this and regret it, should’ve got the huge 170 ml, coz it’s worth it. Perhaps because of my skin chemistry, this is pulling very green (the fir is very present, which I love) and very tart but rosey. It’s not too overtly masculine, nor feminine. It’s genderless as it gets. It’s crisp, fresh and uplifting, but so very nuanced and balanced. It goes without saying that it doesn’t last very long (about 4 hours, which is IMPRESSIVE as it’s an Eau de Cologne). The olibanum adds a smoky, slightly resinous facet which I love. But it is predominantly a bergamot, fir, rose, osmanthus scent with a dash of olibanum! I don’t detect the coriander at all, whether that’s good or bad, I am not too sure. Please don’t bash 4711 colognes for its longevity. They are not meant to last too long, by design! Do educate yourself on perfume brands, it’s design concepts and etc before you complain about the performance of perfumes... Not everything is designed to be “beast mode”. (I detest that phrase, cringing as I’m writing it too!)

I would wear it any season, but would probably shine the most in spring, summer, and fall. Would wear at the office or hanging out. More of a day scent. I would spray heavy (for me that means 20+, but you do you). I got about 5 hours of projection, and then about 2 more hours of skin scent.

I guess I am a big fan of Geza because I appreciate just about everything he does. His fragrances all have a very clear identity without a synthetic feeling. WWoS is no exception, but I really think the name does not do it justice. This is a very fresh *rose forward* fragrance engulfed in pine air. That being said, it does not smell particularly woody at all to me. This is a rose scent I've been chasing. And it is much stronger than the other 4711s I have tried, so it performs as a proper perfume for me with a nice scent cloud for a good six hours. This to me is a more celebratory day time pine scent, while my others are daily freshening or medicinal. Very happy with it! Update: More rose forward on clothes, but more pine forward on skin which I prefer. My skin is very sensitive to fragrances though, so I can't spray as much as I would like to, sadly.

I don't get any of the Terre d'Hermes that other people are mentioning. To me this reminds me of like snowy pine trees like snowboarding. It doesn't smell like you grabbed a pine tree branch and mashed it up, it still smells like a fragrance but it's got that nature pine tree freshness. Super good for the price and I use it a lot for layering. According to John Le Google this is from the same guy that made Molecule 01 and so it has a lot of Iso E Super in it which makes it great for layering. I would say this is more of a fresh winter/fall/early spring and not summer kind of freshness. It's not like a juicy fruity or oceanic freshness it's a natural plant freshness. First time you spray it might start drying down to a strange smell but just give it time, it really is nice! Love this one #swag :)

I blind-bought this fragrance, feeling a bit worried at first, but as soon as I took the first sniff, I fell in love! It truly surprised me. The rose note is more prominent than I expected, blending with a cool, green, woody scent. Within seconds, it softens beautifully. It reminds me of a serene forest blanketed in snow—calm, subdued, and refreshing Many people compare this fragrance to Terre d'Hermès, but I can’t agree with that. While Terre d'Hermès leans toward fresh grapefruit, earthy vetiver, and wood, giving it a more masculine and classy vibe, this fragrance offers a rose-forward, soft fir-forest scent. It feels more unisex, with none of the classy undertones, grapefruit, or vetiver present in Terre d'Hermès. Though they are very different, I enjoy both. Great purchase!
