4711 Remix Cologne Edition 2018

THIS IS A CITRUS SPRITZER DREAM IN A BOTTLE. Yes we know the longevity is short, but hold onto your oranges! Chances are that if you are on this site reading and writing reviews....then you are not your average fragrance consumer. With this fragrance you need to get creative...you need to layer and mix with other scents. I love it as a base layer for anything that is citrus and white floral mixed. A good 10-25 sprays is good....I mean come on....you bought it for under US$18.00!! Let your base layer dry down for about 5 minutes and then go on top of it with your next fragrance. It is also a good one to mix with anything coconut or laconic based. I think I will layer under something boozy as well. If you approach this scent with a different perspective you will really surprise yourself. Before you move on to the next orchard, give this one another chance. You can thank me later!

Can't say I am a fan of the Original 4711, mainly because it has no staying power and I didn't see the point in wearing it. It reminds me of refresher towelettes, nice to use but the fragrance doesn't last. The 4711 Remix Cologne is a little bit different. You can still detect the original cologne in the background but there is this lovely burst of Citrus overload when first applied. It refreshes the senses and wakes you up, reminds me of Summer sports and eating Orange quarters at half time. Once the Citrus burst wears off, the Neroli steps forward and it is there to stay with the Bitter Orange wavering in the background. This is a cologne, so it won't last as long as a EDT but it is much longer lasting than the original 4711. This is a great Summer fragrance. I don't mind spraying more often because I just love the opening Citrus notes.

I bought this on EBay from an Italian seller. I love citrus perfumes so I blind bought it. When it arrived today I ripped open the package to try it - yum!! On my dry skin it smells like fresh cut oranges mixed with lemons at the opening. When it dries down it stays a fresh leafy orange (not orange juice or fake orange.) No musk or other notes noticed. This cologne leaves a soft scent trail the first hour then becomes a skin scent. It lasts about 4 hours which is pretty good for me. This cologne is worth blind buying as long as you like orange scents. It is definitely different than the regular 4711 so having both is not a waste.

I have searched for a long time for a perfume with the scent of freshly peeled oranges and this is exactly that. What a wonderful scent. Of course, it is a cologne so it doesn't linger for hours, yet it doesn't disappoint me with this one. It is not immediately gone like some colognes, I could still smell it after four hours. And I don't mind spraying it again during the day. This is the first time that I have a scent that has exactly the natural scent of freshly peeled oranges, delicious! I hope someday somebody makes an eau de parfum, with exactly this fragrance, the summer in a bottle.

Sharp leaning orange (but not quite as astringent as Mandarino which sets that bar for me). This is a perfect balance. The bergamot and woods do gently come through as well, so it isn't just orange juice. I prefer this to the Blood Orange & Basil. Mandarin & Cardamom may be my favorite of the orange scents from 4711, but this one fits the bill for a different mood and time of year (spring, while the other is fall). I was able to get my 170 mls for only $10 USD which is an absolute steal for a still high-quality product.

The cruelty of 4711 colognes. Remix is the perfect citrus fragrance, exceptional, it brings images and memories of lazy summer afternoons under a tree while eating tangerines and just watching life go by with no rush. BUT, longevity. I know the poor performance of most 4711 colognes, but this is so good, so beautiful that even if I apply it every hour it wouldn’t make the trick. What a shame. Still, in terms of fragrance, this is a solid 10, especially if you are attracted to fresh citrus scents.

it just crossed my way at the drug store and i fell in love with it... again 4711! they know how to revitalize the antique formula, they give it a very modern twist, it opens fresh and fruity, but it's not that sweet like many modern fresh citrusy scents are. it has a deep and smooth and woody dry down. it's still bitter and woody, it reminds me of English bitter orange jam, but not sticky at all! After all it is still an eau de cologne, but it stays longer on my skin than the classic 4711.

wooow .... am a huge Hermes colognes fan but this, this is better than any expensive Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine ... forget about Orange Sanguine or Neroli Portofino .... buy this!!!!! sooo fleeting, soft, gentle, intimate, soothing

Utterly delicious. I wanted to buy Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia (which is sublime) but can’t justify the cost. This has the same juiciness and I’m pleased I bought it from the chemist on a whim.

wow, great cologne for every(!)one! Fresh, vibrant citrus notes a little classic 4711 cologne bite and a dry woody base.

To me it ́s beautyful smooth orange with good staying power - which I didn ́t expect. Really nice.

4711's 2018 Remix is an interesting take on their classic EdC. The bitter oranges are an interesting touch. I do not have a major issue with them, but I would not mind if they were more diminished in the drydown, and the Neroli offsets them anyhow. It opens similarly to the original, but is much less floral for me, with the lemon and bergamot dominating. This should ideally be worn in the spring or summer, where it can "open up" more. While I'm unusual as I like to blind buy perfumes often (if you know what you like it's not much of a risk), I would not recommend trying that with this one due to the bitter oranges, as they are an acquired taste. As I said in my review of 4711's Mandarin and Cardamom, for an EdC the longevity and projection of the 2018 Remix are at the peak of the EdC range, 2 hours at best. While I enjoyed this perfume, I probably would not buy it again, as there are too many other things I would prefer to purchase. That being said, the 2018 Remix is a good value, around $25 for a 5.1oz/150ml bottle, and is readily available online. I spray this scent in my room and open the window the light air breeze mixed with the sweet orange and citrus gives me pure joy is this the happiest scent? I must try the discontinued Clinique happy to confirm this allegation it's a cologne afterall so not much to expect from performance but I like the realistic citrus here it's so refreshing and uplifting! A cologne is a cologne, different from an EDT, fresher, shorter, cleaner, with something wealthy and up-lifting. This being said, I love the way it was revisited. Spicy, juicy, warm and joyful. Doctors should prescribe this bottle massively, instead of drugs against melancholy when the season changes: Please use it 3 or 4 times a day, pulse points (or bath in it, as you want), and come back in one week feeling the sky is not so dark and heavy upon your head.

Lovely! I smell mandarin, orange blossom, honeysuckle, lemons, bergamot... very refreshing, summery and pretty! And under all these bright top notes is the pervasive Cashmeran which is now literally in almost every perfume newly released. Despite this very sickly sweet base note, it’s still good, but it would 100% better without it. This also does not smell like original 4711, this is a modern take much sweeter and fruitier.

Straight up mandarin orange to my nose: a sweet pleasant citrus, with decent longevity for a light citrus scent (appx 3 hours). I have to say that it very much reminds me of a scent for air fresheners that is very popular here in Italy for public bathrooms (at airports, etc) so I'm not sure it's what I want to smell like, but it's certainly not offensive and definitely smells "clean".

An ice cold pithy bitter orange, freshly cut. You can sense the sweetness of the flesh peeking through, yet the dryness and astringency of the rind is prominent. This is a unique take on the classic cologne, and is also unlike most other citrus-centric scents out there.

One of my favorite inexpensive neroli/citrusy fragrances for warm weather. The base, and I'm guessing the Gentiana, of which I'm not familiar, gives it some uniqueness. As mentioned prior, it's very light, not long lasting, respray with abandon.
