Daddy

The original fragrance that got me into ATH. When I ordered his 2ml sample collection box a year ago this one was the one that stood above all of his creations as the masterpiece. A year later I still remembered it and finally pulled the trigger. It's still one of the best from ATH. It's simply a boss fragrance. It's a dark and sweet tonka, vanilla and smooth oud bomb that results in a slightly chocolatey/dessert smell, but it's not completely gourmand. The fragrance exudes strength and confidence, but also some sensuality that results in a "sexy" scent. You can just smell the quality, which probably comes from his use of natural oils, although I'm not an expert. The oud is noticeable but very buttery and smooth like others have already mentioned, it's not funky or animalic at all. ATH is a very confident perfumer and even though this is a compliment-getting and crowd-pleaser oud, it's still somewhat daring because it's quite unique. I can't really compare it to anything, so even though I said it's a crowd-pleaser it's still probably not something that everybody would like to wear, so it's better to sample it. I'd wear this with a well-tailored black suit, a black dress shirt and a luxury watch with a shiny black alligator leather strap as I walk into an evening event and the vibe is perfect. 10/10

NEW ATOMIZERS! These new atomizers with the jeweled caps are light years better than the old pre 2022 releases, no leaking, and these pressurized atomizers have a nice sized spray. Daddy has the sweetness of a younger oriented fragrance, but is very wearable through all ages and sex. Sure it’s called daddy, but I could definitely see this on a woman. It’s a very smooth blend, nothing too rough around the edges, although I do feel as if the apple top note is a bit unnecessary. The body is a nice smooth, not too spicy nutmeg, and Aaron’s tonka. The base is creamy smooth, with a bit of musk and Oud to round off the drydown. The later drydown is extremely reminiscent of Aaron’s discontinued Gardenia Blanc, a lovely creamy vanilla sandalwood and ambergris base. This shines in the fall/winter cold months, but don’t be too worried if you get caught in the sun, although this is very warm and sweet, it doesn’t become sickening or cloying. As expected, Aaron’s warm cozy fragrances are top notch, and while it is pretty pricey, you are getting great raw materials and a very smooth blend that you would have to pay premium for at designers or other niche houses.

I’ve never really been into vanilla-heavy scents, it usually ends up being too much for me. But in this one, the vanilla is balanced out nicely with a fresh touch and some smooth, woody oud. That combo actually makes it work really well, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. There’s also this fruity sourness that kicks in later, kind of like that apple/pear vibe you get from Ultra Male. It gives the scent a fun, sweet edge reminds me a bit of the DNA in Aaron Terence Hughes' Hard Candy, too. Overall, it’s totally my kind of scent sweet, a bit woody, and fresh. My only real complaint is the projection it doesn’t really push out as much as I’d like. And unfortunately, it’s discontinued, so the only way to get it now is through super expensive decants. Still, if I could find a full bottle, I’d grab it in a heartbeat.

I bought a bottle after the rebranding (this fragrance has not been discontinued; Daddy is now called Zeus) and tried one spray after receiving it and was disappointed that it was a very one-note vanilla bomb. Not bad, but absolutely not worth what I paid for it. About two weeks later, I tried it again and it was much better. The other notes started to emerge the vanilla note wasn't as dominant. Roughly one month after that, I tried it again and now I get where the hype comes from. The oud, sandalwood, nutmeg, patchouli and tonka bean balance out the vanilla very nicely. This is a sweet, warm, spicy fragrance that's not "too much" of anything. Performance is great too. I've gotten comments about it 7 hours after applying it and could still smell it on myself 9 hours later. Scent 8/10, longevity 9/10, sillage 8/10.

I grabbed this for my husband for fathers day. It's the new bottle with the crystals along the cap and the awesome Atomizer. I have to say this is beautiful and unisex IMO (especially the dry down) It doesn't smell like Sauvage, Nor does It smell designer. I don't smell or relate to the Apple in the beginning. I just sprayed it and I smell the forest, the rivers bending and winding around me. The middle is where I begin to smell Cherry and Coconut as well. The dry down is Vanilla Dominant and then turns into a true Authentic Vanilla skin scent which is my heaven ❤️ 2 or 3 sprays at most is enough This definitely stays on clothes longer than skin. Sillage is a 7 out of 10 Projection is probably 2-3 feet Scent is a 8 out of 10 It's really is beautiful. I will come back to complete my review in a day or two.

Wore this last night and loved it , nice fresh beginning with fruits following quickly is still a fresh slightly sweet mix of resins and woods Really hard for me to pick out notes but it’s a very nice blend the oud smells warm and sticky and sweet in the mix in a very good way. 8/10 it lightly projects for a few hours and it now morning after, 12 hours later and I smell so good still, a very rich vanilla and maybe sweet oud. I’m actually loving this more 12 hours later as a skin scent. Edit: This is truly amazing, I wore this today in the warmth and it just kept pushing off my skin for hours and hours, sweet but not at all cloying, definitely can be worn by anyone any age, I have an amazing scent bubble now after 10 hours. Dry down is special. Daddy is king 9.5//10

I'm in love and need to upgrade my 10ml to a 50ml. This really does smell like a designer+ fragrance which is what Aaron is good at. I don't get why people have a problem with that. The price is very good considering you are getting REAL oud here and high quality materials with excellent performance and longevity. It does indeed open fresh with that designer green apple note but the spices and tonka quickly work there way in with the oud and vanilla.The oud is blended in very well and doesnt really stick out at all as a note but just works its magic in keeping the composition together and making it glue itself to the skin. It has a dark vanilla powdery drydown and smells vaguely irisy. One of his best works for sure.

Update Insanely good scent! It opens up with some realistic apple and citruses. The scent comes out very sweet, fresh and light & airy. Projects a few meters for sure. As it dries down, it gets more oudy, creamy, vanillery, incensy, chocolatey, but less sweet as the apple takes a back seat. You can still smell the apple in the drydown, but it has been covered by vanilla, oud, tonka bean, chocolate and a bit of incense. After 3 hours, it stops projecting like insane and Daddy comes closer to the skin. It stays that way for a long, long time - it really sticks to the skin. I'd say that the longevity is around 10-12 hours. Love this one, its in my top 5 scents of all time.

Very nice. I have eight of Aarons fragrances. I have Tabac, Luna (2023 version), Oud Noir, Supernova and Daddy in the new 50ml bottles and Homme, Boss Bastard and Oud in 10ml. This is amazing. Creamy tonkabean, oud and vanilla with apple, reminds me of highend luxury hairpomade. Very potent, and the new atomizers are the best I've ever tried, a few sprays is all you need really. Sadly for me I live in EU and its very hard to get hold of ATH. I want more lol. Onyx, Red Fever are on my list And this is not Dior Sauvage elixir. I have about 60 fragrances in my collection and this is easily top 5. Versatile for everyday wear but I save it for special occansions.

The oud and vanilla in this is beautiful and sexy. It has some fresh spicyness to it but less fruit than say notorious. I can see women loving this on a guy as it has that mass appeal feel to it but very high quality. I can smell a bit of carlisle/layton in this but def not a clone of either! Its not as sweet as Carlisle and doesnt have that heavy fruity peachy apple smell in the opening like Carlisle, and with Layton it doesnt have any of that menthol smell in it. It lasts forever esp on clothes and radiates off the skin. It's so damn nice and I'm not an ATH fan boy by any stretch of the imagination but I must give credit where credit is due.

Got a sample of this and after wearing it once had to get a FB! Somehow got lucky enough to pick one up on a Maxaroma restock. Some similarities to Layton as others have mentioned, but this stands completely on its own. Sweet with some spice and a nice patchouli backbone anchoring it. Very strong and lasts 10-12 hours with 3 sprays. The name still makes me cringe a bit lol but it’s great for date nights (wifey likes it at least). Not one I’d wear to the office necessarily. Definitely not something everyone else will be wearing, which is also kinda fun. Scent Bros has decants available for those interested in sampling. Cheers! :)

I bought this over a year ago (in the rubber feeling bottle). I remember upon initial first spray I wasn’t crazy about the opening, but enjoyed the dry down. I finally came back to this scent, and wow...... the top notes have rounded off beautifully. The mid and dry down has gotten even better too. Daddy is a scent that is unique with mass apealing notes that everyone will enjoy. This stuff is nuclear on me. Very strong and protection monster. One spray fills a room. I’d say max sprays 3-4 for indoor events. I have a few of Aaron’s creations and this is one of my favorite ones.

People who said that Daddy smells of Sauvage need to get their noses checked out. I can see the Layton & Carlsile comparision. Just got a bottle of this stuff and it is strong! One tiny spray filled my whole house! I'm coming with a more detailed review soon but as of right now, the ATH hype is real!

One of the original fragrances that got me into ATH, and one I’m glad to own a bottle of. This is just an awesome, masculine, sexy smell. Often when worn it seems to stick on clothing and sheets. I highly recommend. I personally like this over Layton.

The apple, vanilla, and tonka in this make it mouthwatering. Super mass appealing and easy to wear. It literally last til the next day on skin and days on clothing. It's a heavy fragrance and fitted best fir colder weather. Get you a bottle!

My favourite fragrance from ATH absolutely love it, only got 10ml but the strength of his selection it's enough. Close 2nd is Homme and favourite fresh scent is supernova that's insanely fresh and very long lasting

This is gorgeous sexy sweet Oud. I find many ouds too challenging and dirty for me. This is the best Oud I’ve smelt, I love how sweet and attractive this is.

This is reminiscent of Khamrah by Lattafa imo. Also smells similar to Carlisle in the deep dry down. Either way it smells amazing.

I just love this stuff, if this was more available in my country, it would be my signature scent for sure!

Daddy by ATH is a sexy, sweet and dark fragrance. This fragrance is perfect for all day winter time or summer evenings. Indulgent and alluring, ATH blends the richness of vanilla with the mystique of oud, creating a captivating scent experience. The sweetness of vanilla is balanced by the depth of oud, resulting in a dark yet irresistibly inviting aroma. Perfect for those who seek a scent that is both luxurious and universally appealing. This is very similar to Hard Candy. The difference is that Daddy is less sweet. This also reminds me of Patchouli Memory by Ex Nihilo. I give this 8/10.

Reminiscent of Hard Candy, the OG mixed with the Elixir. A touch lighter, but still a nightlife frag. The signature chloroform essence is less pronounced. There’s a light oud undertone. One of ATH’s better fragrances. Very 🌈👨 happy. Pronounced. Can be cloying. ☢️ Objectively 😍. Subjectively 🙂. I’ll take a decant.

This is very playful and fun scent bc i get mostly apples and bubble gum and a powdery drydown. It reminds me a lot of sauvage elixer except it sits closer to the skin

Personal: 6/10 – I wanted to like this one more, but it leans too heavily synthetic and spicy for me to enjoy. There's some weird spices thrown in, a bit of nuanced citrus but I don't love it. Mass appeal: 6.5/10 – Bold, leathery, woody scents have their fans, but this one risks smelling like an overly sweetened cologne cloud. I don’t think the average nose will find it charming. Performance: 8.5/10 – Strong, lasting, and noticeable. Everyone will be able to smell you, for sure. Value: 5/10 – ATH pricing makes sense when he nails a formula. Here, it feels like you’re paying niche money for something that could easily pass as a designer flanker. But if you like it... Uniqueness: 7/10 – It tries to stand apart with a resinous-woody twist, but it doesn’t feel truly original. Instead, it feels like a mash-up of niche intensity with designer-level polish. Not groundbreaking. SCORE: 66/100 Full bottle buy? NO, I don't enjoy the synthetic spicy nature of it. Blind buy? NO, the polarizing DNA makes sampling mandatory. Especially at the price. Recommend? NO, there are more convincing woody/resinous masculines out there. Date night? NO, too heavy-handed, not seductive in my opinion, a bit cloying for intimate settings. Office safe? NO, projects too strongly and feels out of place. Pros: Bold performance, attempts a darker masculine edge, fun to test, unique spicy edge. Cons: Synthetic undertones, polarizing, overpriced for what it is, not versatile. Daddy tries to deliver the archetype of a commanding masculine scent with woody, resinous, leathery, with sweet accords added for “modern appeal.” The result, however, feels a little forced. The opening is brash, loud, sweet, and spicy, the mid settles into syrupy wood, and the dry down hangs around like a designer cologne on steroids. It’s wearable, but not refined enough to stand beside true niche dark masculines, and too niche-priced to justify as a fun designer alternative. Honestly, at half the price, this would be an okay pickup simply due to its aggressive synthetic spicy edge that could really lend itself well to the dead of winter wear, when it wouldn't quite leap off your skin, but at its current pricing, and its limited versatility, I think there are better bottles to put your money into. It’s loud, it’s bold, and it’s not subtle. Really wanted to like this fragrance. After believing all the hype I bought a 10ml bottle with the intention of getting the 50ml if it was any good. The opening smells exactly like a fragranced hoover bag full of dog hair. Really unpleasant. Combine this with the cloying sweetness and it’s quite nauseating. I love musks but these are dirty musks. The dry down is much better with a Carlislesque skin scent. I didn’t find this to be a ‘beast mode’ fragrance at all apart from the strong unpleasant opening. Would I buy a full bottle? If it was £70 probably yes just for the dry down. Is this worth £165 for a 50ml bottle? Hell no!!!! With the prices ATH charges he is being pitched against some serious polished high end fragrances and this is just overhyped and way overpriced in my opinion.

Expected something a bit more and a bit different. Smells nice but wasn’t amazed. Opening smells like lynx chocolate but then the dry down lands with the oud and vanilla which is better. Gives Layton/ Arabian Knight (from the house of Arabian oud) vibes. I sprayed daddy and Arabian knight on both wrists and Arabian knight blown daddy out of the park. Fragrance doesn’t live up to its name “daddy”. Smells very designer

Very synthetic and extremely potent, this might give you and everyone around you headache for sure, possibly a seizure too. Drydown after about 5 hours is really good tho but very clawing and synthetic fragrance unfortunately

@siempre777 this fragrance may be many things but refined it is not. It smells cheap to the point that I felt the need to apologise for my downmarket essence.

aaron's typical vanilla/tonka combo with synthetic apple and a touch of spice geared towards little boys due to the excessive sweetness

I bought this because of all the hype, I have tried most ath frags and they're top tier, this however is mid asf. I really don't know how to explain it, it's sort of bland and you can't really make out any of the notes. Smells really feminine in the air, and up close it kind of smells like sweet malt. I can see a middle-aged man wearing this tbh, definitely not for me. Performance is pretty good though. Sl*t, Sl*t Elixir, HC, HCE, Notorious, Loki, addicted - These are all better choices EDIT: Ok after like 1 week of wearing this on & off I get what everybody is talking about, its good just not as good as what people make it to be.

This is the 4th ATH I try, and yeah, they all feel almost identical. This one does not smell bad, but when you try fine perfumery like guerlain or amouage, this just feels so synthetic.... Like all the ATH share the same base which you go immediately nose blind to. Smell and quality are regular designer level, like this could perfectly be something jpg could have in their range. So yeah, another disappointment from ATH. Cant get behind brands like this one, City Rythm, etc. They all feel like 90% marketing 10% quality

The two below me don't know what they're talking about. Sure, this stuff is hard to get and expensive and sure ath has more fruitier and wilder creations however daddy is all of those fragrances, well, daddy. This has the DNA of all of his hyped releases like hard candy elixr and such without the cloying fruity sweetness that are reminiscent of jpg ultra male. Daddy is an ultra refined version of his classic dna without over doing it. My girlfriend literally fell in love with this the first time I wore it around her. It's a suave vanilla fragrance. Reminiscent of Carlisle, blessed baraka, Bvlgari orom but those fragrances can be a little challenging. If you like those 3 types of fragrances and want a more wearable, clean version of them, this is it.

just tested it out from a friend , to my nose it's not even close to the sauvage DNA like many said , reminded me alot of the smell of bread , which is weird I don't know why there isn't any talking about this . nevertheless, it's a great frag with super bomb performance , 1 spray behind the neck last you around minimum 10 hours with beast mode projection . not a safe blind buy

This stuff is fantastic, great longevity, projection. I haven’t smelt Layton Exclusif but to me this is in a similar hall park to Layton OG with added oud and smooth like butter with superior performance. A great scent sure to get you noticed. Imo this is similar to Notorious by ATH but better. The Oud base makes this stick to clothes for days.

This fragrance is exceptional. Really like nothing I've ever smelt before. The nutmeg shines through. It's bright sweet and quite rich. The name "Daddy" put me off. But when I sprayed it in the shop I knew I was leaving with 50ml. Blind buy this is you like sweeter fragrances. I wouldn't say its unisex more male only IMO.

For me it's an ultimate fall/winter crowd pleaser. If you're into niche it might not surprise you at all, but the quality, longevity and the scent profile are all very good. For me it feels like a more nuanced version of Armani Code, with better projection and longevity, and that's exactly what I was looking for.

This is Dior Sauvage elixir with slight twist. Lasts about 10h on my skin and thats very good for my dry skin. I do like it but not sure if its worth the higher price tag as Dior is performing just as good.

Very mass appealing, not my style. It is good tho! Just boring to me. I need more dark or spicy, and i have enough Amber vanilla bangers. THIS IS NOT CLOSE TO CARLISLE AT ALL.
