Hard Candy Elixir

I own hard candy, hard candy elixir, kayos, sl*t, sl*t elixir, and supersonic. I'm always switching between which is my favorite, but currently it's hard candy elixir. When my bottle first came in it had a weird smell in the opening. The oud was very prominent to me and almost smelled like marijuana. After I let my bottle macerate though it became absolutely stellar. I always loved the mixture of fresh, sweet and woody with the OG, but the elixir just adds this rich depth that makes it so alluring. The strawberry note alkways stood out to me in the OG, but with the elixir it's like you mixed that strawberry in fresh honey and ran it through a chocolate fountain. I wore this to my Valentine's dinner and a waitress who wasn't serving our table went out of her way to ask about which one of us smelled so good. She went on about how her and all of her co workers were trying to figure out where the smell was coming from, purposely passing by our table to smell it. It's as if they were all huddling in the kitchen telling her to go up to our table to ask about it. I receive a lot of energetic compliments with sl*t elixir, which in my experience is a bit more mass appealing, but I've never had a stranger go this far out of their way to ask about something I was wearing. Hard Candy Elixir is definitely the sexiest out of the bunch I own and has this mysterious masculine energy to it. While sl*t elixir is perfectly unisex and incredible, it doesn't have that sexy alluring aspect that hard candy elixir has. TLDR; Masterpiece

This is my favourite fragrance of all time and the high rating and hype around it is most definitely justified. This smells very sexy, very sweet, intoxicating and seductive. It projects very well for me and it’s a huge compliment puller and lasts 13 hours on my skin. The scent reminds me of a sweet candy shop but with a slight darker mysterious vibe, it’s such a sexy smell. Sweet gourmand like vanilla, honey and tonka bean combined with the strawberry and sweet orange make this an amazing sweet loud fruity candy like fragrance, the base has some amazing musks and the smoothest oud I’ve smelt in a fragrance but it’s in the background it’s not too prominent and u can’t detect much till the dry down and even then it’s just like smooth whipped chocolate. This fragrance is the sexiest thing I’ve ever smelt. This will turn heads, get compliments and definitely help you stand out. I have a tik tok page and I’ve recommend this to so many people and made lots of videos praising it and I’ve received probably hundreds of messages from people telling me they’ve bought it and love it. This is a hidden gem, I love almost all of ATH fragrances but this is my favourite. The price on Aaron’s fragrances really are quite good for the quality of materials used and the amazing perfumery. I suggest buying the 25x 2ml sample ser that contains all the fragrances he’s selling. That’s what I did and I loved so many of them I plan to have a 10+ full bottle collection of ATH fragrances in the future!

Incredible scent. It definitely shares some similarities with Ultra Male, but this is so much more complex and develops almost hourly. I had more complements in a week of wearing this on holiday than I've had in about 5 years of wearing my complete other collection. From young to old, male to female, could barely pass an hour without someone saying I smelled nice or asking what I was wearing. I have 4 ATH fragrances now, this one, Addicted, Daddy and Slut. They're all insanely good. Very expensive yes, but you really do get what you pay for with them, you only need one spray and they'll last you 12+ hours and woe betide if you spray them on clothes as it'll almost never go away. I'm not a rich guy, but I will treat myself to a new one of the ATH line up every few months as I believe they just blow away most of the stuff on the market. People who are saying this stuff is weak, or has no longevity, do you even have noses anymore - I mean, c'mon now, I go anosmic myself from time to time but geez man, I don't think you could find many things on the planet that project as strongly as this and I can still smell it quite strongly on the bag I took on holiday, and I didn't spray the bag, it just came off the clothes I packed away.

This fragrance is the epitome of something that feels like it’s always existed but is unlike anything you’ve smelled before. Hard candy elixir is an explosive and powerful combination of strawberry, vanilla, honey, amber and musk but When I first sprayed it on a testing strip it didn’t really impress me it almost smelled a bit like sauvage with a bit of added sweetness but when I put it on my skin and that strawberry and musk hit me in the nose I almost shed a thug tear. I see a lot of people comparing it to ultra male and although I haven’t smelled it in a while I can honestly say this is very unique when you put it on your skin. There’s something haunting about this fragrance maybe it’s the musk and amber combination maybe it’s the supposed “mdma” note whatever that means lol but it’s probably the white musk. It’s visceral and sexy and smells euphoric, smells like the kind of scent that rushes to your brain. highly recommend trying this one out on your skin. It’s hard to get a hold of this one in the states but I will get a bottle as soon as possible even if I overpay because I don’t feel like trying to search for this beauty in another fragrance. Dare I say.... Masterpiece. 10/10. I love you ATH

I’ve watched ATH’s YouTube videos for a little while now and always so much appreciated his reviews with his vast knowledge of fragrances. He is definitely on another level of perfumery than just about every other “Fragrance Influencer” out there. Anyway that brings me to Hard Candy Elixir, I knew I had to dip my toes into his own personal fragrances and finally try something from him. I decided to go for the one he is most known for naturally.. I must say Hard Candy Elixir did not disappoint one bit! This stuff is sexy and alluring as ever and is done extremely well. No review can really place this fragrance very accurately, it’s one I feel should be tried and experienced. It is in its own league thats for sure! Edit: All you people are killing me with the Ultra Male comparisons. It’s amazing how just because a niche fragrance is real sweet! It gets automatically compared to a very popular real sweet designer fragrance. Hard Candy Elixir is absolutely miles apart in every aspect. I’d assumed some of you are trying to make yourself feel a little better for not owning HCE and just having the boring ole Ultra Male. Get f***ing real!

Other niche brands offer better performers. Tl;dr: Love the scent, disappointed in performance.

Review #4 Hard candy elixir is an instant rush of masculine candy sweetness. And I would say that it's mass appealing for sure. The citrus is blended very smoothly and the specific vanilla DNA reminds me of that from Armani's SWY intensely with less cloy. In terms of actual scent trail, it's one of the most mature, alluring, sweet scents I've put my nose on. It's an easy wear at nighttime, especially in colder months, and truly reminds me of eating HARD CANDY. Haha. The honey smells really nice and projects, some may think this is too sweet, so I would consider it non blind-buyable. It's very similar to the OG HC, with slightly more 'pop' and smoothess. Maybe it's the honey + amber combo . Whatever it is if you have the original DNA, you don't need this, but I would rate it slightly higher than the original. The candy scent is powerful if over sprayed, just make sure you have restraint. Great longevity, great pickup value. Scent: 8.7 Longevity: 8.6 Sillage: 8.3

Opening is very similar to OG Hard Candy and Notorious, but dry down is a lot more rich and complex than OG, also not as sharp, but I would say it's redundant to own all 3. As expected, performance is where ATH shine the most, 12h+ easily with beast mode projection and sillage. One thing to note, this smell completely different when it's cold, I would classify this as a fall / winter frag, you can pick up on the mint, lavender, strawberry when it's cold. In the heat (75 F+) it smells a lot closer to JPG ultramale. That being said, this frag is no joke and will require trained nose to pick up on the notes. Sometimes I smell citrus, sometimes minty, and sometimes powdery strawberry. Notes will come in waves and is ever changing. Be careful when you spray this, when I say it's a beast mode I mean it, dont be that guy (girl) 3-4 spray max. If you own Blue Talisman, layer it on top of this for warmer days, you're welcome.

So this fragrance is really alluring. After having it on for abit you notice the intensity of the sillage and how it lingers with strength. It’s not overpowering but it threads the line of being noticeable but not cloying. I get orange, strawberry and overall just that sweet shop vibe people talk about, but at the same time it’s fresh and makes me feel extremely clean. I haven’t had it for too long so far so I’ll update further after abit of time. Only issue that I have is the quality control, the outer packaging itself was fine, however the bottle was caked in juice which when rubbed off had black debris on it from the glass I assume? The nozzle itself was also partially dislodged and the cap doesn’t snap on cleanly because of this, it still works which is good but QA needs to be improved if we’re spending this much money

First impressions this really reminds me of ultramale, not like 1:1 but it gives the same vibes with a lot better quality and better everything, I would say like 40-50% similar. You have this citrusy opening that dries down to a lovely sweet dark gourmand fragance with the strawberry, a little bit of smooth oud, honey and vanilla. also this, like ultramale, would be good for parties and going out. definitely a more winter scent but can be used on cold summer nights too, age range I will say like 18-35 but if you’re under or over that age you can use it too I just see it more suitable for that ages, if you like ultramale this is 1000% a safe blind buy, I would give this a 9/10 Ok so after a few wears I can say that this is a masterpiece bro, I think I’m going to order a backup bottle, I would give this a 9.4/10

Finally got my hands on a 50ml pre-Reborn bottle after owning a partial bottle only. I thought the new bottle design looked nice at first, but the haptic feel isn’t as good and it’s about ~50 grams lighter. The quality definitely feels cheaper. Not sure yet about the new juice, but honestly with all the hype, scarcity, and the crazy costs (shipping + forward2me fees), I’m done with collecting ATH. It’s just not worth the hassle unless you can get it for around retail from an enthusiast group. As for the perfume itself, Hard Candy Elixir is easily in my top 3 from ATH. I tried to substitute it with Ultra Male, but it’s just not the same, Ultra Male feels less complex and less interesting. The closest thing to the drydown is probably PDM Layton (close, but not identical).

Incredible fragrance. It's honestly iconic in my opinion. If this was a designer it would be the best sold fragrance in the world, it's that good. I guess that's the only critique I have about this - that it's a little too much designy but it doesn't matter because it's still unique and performance is crazy good, like a niche fragrance should have. Aaron, well done! To compare with the original Hard Candy that I also own: This is exactly what Aarons says. It's Hard Candy but darker and more sensual. I guess a little less versatile since the citruses in the original one makes it a better fit for daily/office/hot weather usage. Go grab yourself either Hard Candy or Hard Candy Elixir, now!

I’ve had this for a good while now. I remember when I first sprayed it, I wasn’t very impressed, but it’s one of those things for me that get better everytime I smell it, and at this point I love it. It’s hard to describe, it’s obviously sweet. I mainly pick up some ethyl maltol whipping through the base, nah but on a serious note.. the best way I can describe what I smell is a dense sweet strawberry candy and vanilla. It’s definitely sexy. I was always hesitant to really give a YouTubers fragrance a shot, but since ATH is an actual perfumer I decided to give him a shot, and I don’t regret it. Performance is solid.

A deeper, darker and more interesting version of an already amazing fragrance. 0 complaints here and no I don't give a fuck that it isn't a brand new idea that has never been explored before. It's different enough from Ultra Male (unlike the original Hard Candy) that I can justify owning both and there is so much good in this. People who say Ultra Male can replace this better not own a single expensive fragrance then, since there are clones and cheaper alternatives to almost everything now. Performance is also amazing but that was to be expected considering the amazing performance of the original hard candy.

The strawberry, vanilla, tonka and a little bit of freshness from the mint are mainly what I'm smelling from the notes. I can see the similarities to le male and ultra male, but it is a small similarity and this scent is very different imo. There is an intoxicating and addictive quality to it that probably comes from the gourmand facets (the strawberry/vanilla/honey). It is not a gourmand frag though as food is not the first thing that comes to my mind and it still smells like a sweet and fresh fragrance rather than a dessert. It has great longevity and projection as most ATH frags. It's unisex. 9/10

I have both Hard Candy and Hard Candy Elixir and I prefer the Elixir, it’s just denser and richer, once you smell the Elixir you wil find yourself thinking the original is missing something. However if you layer them as Aaron suggests, the combination is incredible it adds a little sharpness and citrus bite that is missing from the elixir. If I had to pick just one, it would be the Elixir, as it’s just far more alluring and I get far more compliments from it than the original. If you’ve got the money buy both and layer. Elixir: 9.5/10 Original: 8.5/10 Together:10/10

I bought it to see what the hype was about, and I was not expecting much as I have tried a lot of stuff and therefore it is really hard for a scent to impress me. This instantly reminded me of Armani Code Absolu when I first smelled it and it kept evolving into something more honey-esque. When I wore it the first time, I kinda got a headache and I could definetely smell the strawberry. I do think it is a good scent but not anything revolutionary as there are many similar scents on the market, but it does smell higher quality than the other similar scents.

I applied this fragrance yesterday, and I must say, I’m impressed! Even 12 hours later, it was still lingering on my skin. It’s a sweet scent, just as described in the name, but with enough masculinity to keep it balanced. The sweetness is perfectly complemented by a bold, masculine undertone, making it the ideal fragrance for a night out. It has an intense, alluring character without being overpowering. Definitely a must-have if you're looking for a scent that stands out and lasts all night!

Putting aside all Ultra Male comparisons, this has a fantastic note composition and blend, not overly sweet in anyway despite all the sweet strawberry, honey and vanilla notes... The amber gives the fragrance warmth and sensuality, a little bit of seriousness... Performance of course blows me away, got about 14hrs performance with it, with really nice projection... The atomizer is simply gorgeous as well. It's not my favorite, but this is definitely a 10/10 fragrance.

I have both the elixir and normal hard candy. Elixir is much sweeter and deeper instantly, it’s sweet and u can smell the strawberry and vanilla like someone else said it smells a bit like bubblegum. I can smell the mint lingering behind the sweetness and it’s a brilliant smell. Its not an overly sweet smell which could be used in summer occasionally. It’s a great fragrance and it’s brilliantly made, I’m not no expert but the smell is so smooth and well composed.

One of the best perfumes for cold weather nights out. I like to wear Hard Candy Elixir (now renamed Censored Elixir) mostly during the colder season when going outdoors. It can be cloying when worn inside tight spaces like a car, but when it is very windy and cold outside and other perfumes do not stand a chance, this one just shines and shines. I love the strawberry mint opening and the oud drydown. It is both fresh and sweet in a modern way.

Tried a sample and was hooked. Was lucky enough to find a 10 ML bottle for a decent price on resale. I think this is my favorite scent. It’s the only one that when I wear it I am constantly smelling my shirt and arm. If it was easier to get I’d wear it every single day. It’s that good. I would recommend it to anyone, however, if you enjoy sweet scents with depth and darkness YOU NEED THIS.

Very very loud. Rich oud, wafts of fresh strawberry, and vanilla ice cream. Not easy to wear in my opinion because it is so strong and opinionated. If I wear this I try to stick to 1 spray because it will fill the room and has insane longevity. I do also think it has some part of it that can come across as synthetic and harsh so you really do have to be careful with how much you spray.

This fragrance is truly a masterpiece. It starts off with a bold blend of orange and wood, gradually transitioning into a rich strawberry and chocolate scent (likely due to the oud). The other notes are all distinct and easily identifiable—mint, musk, amber, wood, lemon, vanilla, and tonka. It's as if each note takes its turn captivating your senses. A perfect 10/10.

Got a 5ml and bought a full bottle as soon as I had the chance. This stuff is amazing. Starts off sweet but as it dries down the sweetness is dialed back a bit. Opening/mid has a great sweet/strawberry/ kinda chocolate vibe. To me this is not a one dimensional scent. This is now one of my favorites if not my favorite cold weather night out scent.

I have both this and the original hard candy, and I must say I don’t get any “darker” elements in this compared to the original, it’s just sweeter. I get more oud in the original hard candy and more of a dirty sexy touch, so I actually prefer og hard candy. Still a 10/10 scent tho and nuclear projection and longevity like Chernobyl strength

Wow ..if you have to be in the club for a longtime, this has to be the best scent you can get. It feels like it was formulated especially this way for that reason. Theres some good stuff out there with projection and longevity for sure, from: Jusbox and Ex Nihilo, but the way this stays crisp and decernible is truly on another level.

Sweet, citrusy, leaning primarily into red fruits, but with great depth and gourmand complexity. Fantastic projection without being dense or heavy; to the contrary, there's great clarity here. Too sweet, buoyant, and loud for an office setting, but otherwise rather versatile. Definitely one of my absolute faves.

My friend loves this one and I’m going to be honest, I love this fragrance it’s just so nice and sweat but also unique it’s really hard to describe but it smells so nice and smooth kind of. It’s kind of like a better version of scandal but with less caramel. Longevity - 8.5 Silliage - 8.1 The scent - 9/10

Minty lavender candy In the opening you get this sweet designer ish minty lavender combo, but after a few minutes it turn into this very nice tonka, lavender and strawberry scent wich is slightly reminiscend of a candy, and the performance is very good Really want to try more from ATH 9/10

Should be owned by every frag head alive. Not a fan of his business practices but can’t deny this masterpiece. Everything about it is an 11/10. Absolutely blind buy worthy considering sweetness is of your liking. Not overly sweet. Perfectly sweet! Now grab u some🔥⛽️🔥🤘

This is such a unique fragrance. I absolutely love it. Great projection and longevity. Unisex, but definitely leans masculine in the dry down. Just enough Oud in the base. I have spent a lot of money sampling sweet oudy frags and this one is done to perfection.

Darker and denser than the original with slightly more complexity. Owning both the og and the elixir might be redundant but this is less wearable in warm weather than the original. Like the original, it can blow up a room and stays around for a while. Unisex.

Initial smell is a delicious fruity blend then it dries down into a musky chcolatey scent with a hint of the sweetness. The hype is deserved this is such an addicting scent and while it smells similar to the Le Male family this is still unique

Hard candy elixir to me is really special. A few in my house have bought a bottle as well. If you layer elixir under hard candy it really is one of the best I have smelled. Elixir more darker and richer but still sweet. Both are 10/10 for me

I cannot believe ATH had to change the name of the Hard Candy fragrance line to Censored and Censored elixir. Because some US company has threatened to sue him because they own the rights to the hard candy name. It's ludicrous.

What is there left to say about Hard Candy Elixir that hasn't already been said? It's simply stunning. Aaron is a truly gifted perfumer. I would encourage anyone to sample his work if you can; you won't be disappointed.

Dont know if i’m the only person who experience scents like taste, but the aftersmell/remnants after sniffing of this fragrance is what a hard candy would be like if it was a smell.

Imo hard candy is better, way more versatile, but Elixir is like a sexier version of that. Something way more sensual in a naughty way looool

MUCH better than Ultra Male. Smells so high quality and lasts forever. My favorite ATH OAT.

I dont know if its just me, but there is a hint of city rythm manhanttan in the dry down.

I think I have a fair standing on reviewing this because I have never tried Ultramale and that's the one I hear lots of comparisons with. I can't compare the two, but I can speak on my experience with HCE. The opening is absolutely fantastic and gives you a feel for how this will perform. Very present to the nose, nothing that causes instant fatigue though very strong. Smells so delicious, very narcotic to be honest. If I were much younger I would probably rock this. It has a juvenile sweetness, but not to a synthetic harshness - this is a vanilla/amber sweet fruity clean fragrance. Pleasant for any occasion (at that age) except being out in the summer outdoor/away from AC, as well as formal occasions. Naturality should NOT be considered when judging this fragrance as it is, of course, meant to be a tool for attention! I only have a 10ml of it, which is all I'll ever need. For the purpose it serves, it's great, but nothing outstanding for me to go after a 50-100ml bottle. I will wear this more situationally, and probably my younger son enjoyed it and even were it a few times (he's 8 but he also wears some other of my fresh frags). Wear what you want, but I believe it would be silly to have fun stickers on a work laptop bag - situational awareness for fragrance also matters. Beware, this will be annoying with lots of sprays. I get sufficient performance with 3+ for a day's wear, and can't imagine 5 sprays being muted to go out with friends.

I’m not saying it doesn’t smell good, but I do think it’s pretty overrated—especially when you compare it to other sweet fragrances from the ATH brand in the same category. The three sweet ones I own are HCE, Slut Elixir, and Notorious, with Notorious being my favourite, funnily enough the one people talk about the least. The dry down of HCE reminds me of the Armani Code line, and it kind of lacks character. I was expecting more from it, especially considering everything I’d heard and the way it’s hyped as the best.

This is my favourite fragrance in my collection and it is just so unique and smells edible. I blind bought this in a 10ml bottle and honestly I think I'm gonna have to upgrade to a 50ml bottle. ATH is an extremely underrated brand with brilliant peformance. Back to hard candy elixir this is a very gourmand fragrance with a hint of strawberry. It almost smells like calpole bit more gourmand. Smell 9.4/10 Sillage 9.1/10 Longevity 9.5/10 What price do I think this fragrance should be. 10ml: £30. 50ml £130

I wore this side by side with Ultra Male and I would say it certainly smells very similar to it. I can straightaway feel better quality and it is less synthetic than UM, but I still cant understand the hype. May be folks who are hyping this never tried ultra male. It’s a great fragrance and can be considered as an upgrade from your UM once you finish your bottle. But this is nothing groundbreaking for me.
