An intoxicating scent. Incredible tobacco, warm vanilla and very smooth woody oud. This is the most luxurious scent I’ve ever smelt. It feels “rich” (like rich/flavoursome food, not money). It’s thick, and feels as if the scent has “weight”. Very good projection (but not a room filler) and very good sillage; people notice if you’ve been in a room and left, or in an elevator when you’ve stepped out already. Such a natural smelling scent as well. I have many niche fragrances, and the quality of this is beyond anything I’ve experienced (and previously I thought the xerjoff oud fragrances were the best). If you like tobacco and vanilla with the depth of oud, this is unbeatable. It makes Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille feel like the designer fragrance it is (if you layered TF Tobacco Vanille and Oud Wood, you may get a similar feel, but no where near the opulence). It’s incredibly underrated/unknown, but for the scent profile, nothing comes close. If you’ve smelt the TF Tobacco Vanille, or Tobacco Oud, try this, you won’t regret it. My only criticism isn’t the perfume, its the way ATH as a fragrance house works- they are constantly out of stock and do “drops” which sell out quickly (often with a countdown time to the next “drop”) I hate this business model. When I want to buy a replacement perfume, I want to be able to just order (as not available in stores); I’m to busy to keep checking the website for stock. I’m not a teenager waiting for a supreme or Yeezy drop...

Herod wishes it could be this! I love tobacco notes. And this is peak! I read a longe review of a older man in his 50's telling his life storry on how his father worked with tobacco plants, and he kept going on about how it took him back to the memories of that and made him cry bc it was so real and beautiful. Peak, peak, peak tobacco parfume. This is the new official king of tobacco Parfume.

This fragrance is the first tobacco focused scent I've ever actually liked. It's intense and unapologetically itself, projects like a monster and lasts all day with REAL oud blended masterfully with vanilla and tobacco. If Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille had sex with Tobacco Oud it would smell like this. Wait for the dry down, it’s worth it...

Smells like cigars. Nothing sweet about it. So, certainly not for everyone given how annoyingly sweet fragrances are these days. Excellent.

Underwhelming Compared to Other ATH Perfumes I’ve tested 8 ATH perfumes and currently own 7 bottles, so I’m definitely a fan of Aaron’s work, especially his oud line, which is dark, rich, and performs exceptionally well. Unfortunately, Tabac didn’t live up to the standard I’ve come to expect. The quality is there, but it just doesn't project like his other fragrances. I have the pre Reborn 50ml bottle with the unicorn and Swarovski crystal, so it might be a batch issue, but I’m not sure. Aaron has mentioned in one of his videos that he’s not big on tobacco fragrances, and it kind of shows here. The scent reminds me of Tom Ford’s Tobacco Oud, but with a cleaner, drier tobacco note, no wetness or musty tobacco. If you're looking for a bold tobacco statement, this isn’t it. Not a bad fragrance, just not what I expected from ATH.

Woody oud+tobacco, I don't get vanilla or sweetness in this. Extremely photorealistic, smells like opening a cedar box of cuban cigars. Oud is present and isn't funky at all and performance is there. This and Homme unfortunately were not for me from ATH. 6.5/10

Some people in the reviews have said this doesn't smell sweet, but I entirely disagree. I am not sure what exactly is the cause of the sweetness here, but tobacco absolute (an oil extract) & the coumarin are the two most likely. This is not an overpowering sweetness, & the woody accords help to dampen it. To my nose, the rose in this is not discreet either. Perhaps in the air it isn't as present. I don't mind it though because the woods & tobacco notes are dominant enough to keep this leaning very masculine. The rose plays nicely with the oud and gives the fragrance a more eloquent scent, an extra dimension to examine. I don't think this is particularly animalic though, perhaps this is a listed accord just because it has oud in it but the oud in this is very pleasant and well blended with the other notes here. The performance on this is obviously excellent as well, the sillage to me does not seem very extreme but the longevity is great, this is also a 35% extrait de parfum, and it's very obvious when applied to skin where there is a very clear oil shine left on the skin. Overall I really like this one, I wish I could explore more of the ATH line but they don't ship to where I am at so I had to pay quite a significant import fee, I think it was worth it for this one though. One final note I would like to make is in regards to the current bottling. They do have a bit of weight to them, which is nice. But I noticed that for the lids, the bottom can have sharp edges where the metal ends. I don't think it's sharp enough to cut my skin, but then again I have very thick skin on my hands so I thought it was worth mentioning as a caution anyway. 9.25/10

There are two versions of this. Silver placard bottle which has a more airy Vanilla Tincture. This version has a deeper and darker Vanilla Absolute. I like both versions.
