Unicorn

I have the 2026 version of Unicorn. There is little video reviews of this fragrance, which is understandable given the price. Some of the comparisons are fairly wild, especially to Oud Wood. This is a clean, sweet fragrance, with Oud powering it. There is a mineral-type feel projecting from it, similar to Ganymede. I'm not saying this fragrance smells like ganymede- if you take that from this you are not paying attention- but it gives off a similar mineralic-aura for the first couple hours. This is an airy smooth fragrance, with the sweet notes and Oud close to the skin. It is very long lasting, and more for the Autumn, Winter, and early spring type wear. Another similar comparison for the sweet amber and oud notes most akin to Oman Luxury Overdose. Again, I am not saying it smells exactly like this fragrance, but on the skin it has a similar sweet, warm, amber pleasant feel. It's extremely wearable and westernised Oud. You can smell the quality of the ingredients, and clearly a lot of time was put into the blending of the compounds to reach the result. The price-point will put a lot of people off, but this is a more unique experience. Office safe, just don't go wild with sprays, 2-3 is all that is needed and it lasts all day. If you already have Oud by ATH, this is not similar. Oud by ATH is darker, with a beautiful date aroma to begin with. Unicorn is airier, it still has an Oud kick with a touch of incense and patchouli, but it's not slapping you across the face, as the saffron vanilla, and Amber are blended well with it. I was expecting something far darker and in your face Oudy from some of the reviews I saw, and frankly that's really far off. Another poor comparison seen on these sites is anything hinting it was is like Tom Fords Oud Wood, which this is absolutely nothing like. ATH Morpheus is his take on Oud Wood, this is more sophisticated than Oud Wood, richer, and more unique. Oud Wood is nice, but any comparison to it perhaps hints at a lack of wider Oud exposure. Everyone smells things differently, and that's fine.

Unicorn (especially when layered with the elixir as intended) is the GOAT of rose ouds in my opinion. The rose is less detectable, if not missing in the non-elixir version, but this is still a VERY high-quality oud fragrance. Opens spicy and kind of harsh since Aaron uses real oud, but it settles into a beautiful, sweet and powerful oud fragrance similar to that of Haltane and Oud wood as if they mixed and donned a Tuxedo. It isn't for beginners or people who don't already like ouds, but if you like Haltane, Layton exclusif and fragrances along those lines...this will appeal to you. Few fragrances are worth the immense price tag nowadays, but Aaron sources genuine high-quality naturals in his stuff and has the receipts to prove it while blending them with such care that I can confidently say it is worth the price.

Beautiful oud, amber and dark spices. Great performance. Similar in style to TF Oud Wood Parfum but only in as much as it's a very easily apporachable/ crowd pleasing Oud. It has a dense, meatiness to it that makes it almost seem chewable yet it's so well balanced that it has lightness and projects beautifully. It’s a 10/10 fragrance for me.

Well, I got my hands on a 10ml of Unicorn- something I never thought would happen. I'm not the biggest oud fan (I'm more of a mass appeal guy), but I grabbed this because I'm an ATH fan and I found a bottle of Unicorn BNIB for sale. So this review is just from a general stand point- something from a general guy. This is not a mass appealing fragrance. The oud almost smells like fecal matter upon opening- but in the oddest way possible, you can tell it's a high quality rich material that was used to create this scent. And it's not that bad at all (no I'm not a weirdo who likes the smell of human feces). It's like rich animal dung. It's something I've never smelled before. Once that disappears, a leathery note takes its place, but the leather is blended with the oud still, and I get earthy accords as well. It's almost like I'm smelling old dried tree bark as well. All in all, I this is something I'd normally hate, being that I'm more of a freshie type of guy- but as it is, I'm delving into the darker scents, and I can appreciate something like this. The old me would have hated it, but the new me is appreciating it a great deal. (I used to hate PdM Layton but I revisited it and it's really nice!)

I second Slyelessar, well said :) To my nose Unicorn has more of an airy saffron fruity raspberry vibe and compared to Ganymede and Haltane, it's a nice alternative

To me this is much smoother TF Oud Wood
