#45 of My Fragrance Journey - Aaron Terence Hughes Whore Blue: The Warmth of Unapologetic Devotion "Whore Blue." What a name. You see that on a bottle and either laugh, flinch, or lean closer. I did all three. I wasn’t sure what to expect - shock value? A smoky trainwreck? Some unhinged mix of sugar and sin? But then I sprayed it... and damn. Whatever I thought this would be - it wasn’t that. It’s better. Way better. It opens like temptation in a well-tailored suit. That bright flash of bergamot - sharp, teasing - spiked with pepper and resin. Elemi and nutmeg twist through it, a spicy warmth that feels alive, almost electric. There’s a cleanliness under the heat, like the calm before something dangerous. I found myself leaning into it, not quite sure whether I was chasing comfort or chaos. Maybe both. Then the tobacco slides in - smooth, honeyed, sticky in the most addictive way. Not cigar-shop dry, no. This one’s warm and humid, like it’s been kissed by syrup and amber light. It smells like skin that’s already been close to trouble. There’s something magnetic here, sinful even, and I catch myself just... breathing it in too long. The base is where it all starts to melt. Patchouli and vetiver weave smoke into sweetness; benzoin glows like embers; vanilla and tonka blur the edges until everything feels soft, human, alive. It doesn’t just last - it "haunts". I could still smell it the next morning, faintly sweet, faintly dark, like the ghost of something I shouldn’t miss but do. This isn’t a “nice” fragrance. It’s not clean or polite. It’s confident, carnal, and unapologetically warm. It smells like late nights, half-truths, and the kind of devotion that burns slow and deep. Call it unholy, call it beautiful - I call it mine.

Musky, sensual, sweet & fresh. Got this a free sample with oxytocin. Made it so that I didn’t entirely regret my purchase of oxytocin, since I think that fragrance is vile lol. This is very versatile and also fairly unique. Aaron has done a brilliant job with the blending, since to my nose at least, no particular note sticks out. It makes it hard to describe or compare it to anything else though. I would say it’s in the blue category, as the name would suggest, but it takes a different path than most others. It’s very soft and inviting, nice sweetness that isn’t overbearing, and a freshness and slight powderiness that makes it very wearable. The tobacco in here is subtle and would probably go unnoticed to the untrained nose or to someone who just simply isn’t looking for it. I’m not sure what it is exactly but something in here makes my nose tingle, in a good way, like a sort of fuzziness which I really enjoy. As with every other ATH creation I’ve tried the performance leaves nothing to be desired. Projection is on the softer side but I think that was the intention and it definitely works in favour of the scent profile. Definitely worth a try. I will purchase a full bottle at some point. Lovely year-round comforting and unique blue fragrance. Brilliant stuff Aaron.

Take hard candy dna and make it fresher with a slight cucumber? Smell. It’s refreshing and sweet don’t know how to describe but it’s really really good and I will update this when I do a full wear. For now 8.5/10 Update: I wore it a full day and can’t get enough: fresh sweet and muskiness with a masculine powdery edge. I can’t make out the notes because to me it’s a blue musk that’s indescribable.I wish it was easier to acquire but soon as it’s on maxaroma I’m on it. 9/10

@glyde69 Solo British perfumer makes perfumes in Britain and predominantly sells them in Britain. But because you can’t get them, or struggle to get them outside of the Britain, you think there’s no point in them. Ok then buddy. At least you’re logical and don’t think the world revolves around you eh?

If you love naxos you will love this!! It's a fresher naxos with more sillage, great stuff!!

I got this fragrance at about $100 for 30ml. Comparable pricing to Triumph of Bacchus on discounters. I have about 10 ATH scents and they all last. That’s for sure. I’ve had this experience with extraits where while they last a while, they don’t project as much. Whore blue is one of those. It’s certainly unique. It takes a fresh/blue frag base and removes the ambroxan/aquatic portion and replaces with tobacco. It’s a good fragrance hands down. This one will be more intimate in terms of projection. It’s basically a fresh, yet warm, tobacco scent. I don’t regret it. I could actually wear this one to work since it’s a bit quieter but still get that sexy sweetness.

Essentially a more interesting, vibrant and ever so slightly more complex version of Fuckboy. Renders that one obsolete (it already was a cheaper version of slut/hard candy). I don't get the comparisons to Naxos at all, it is more like a niche version of le male elixir. Very sweet with a nice tobacco in there but still quite different to Naxos. Great fragrance in its own right, glad I picked this one up!

If you like ATH Hard Candy, HC Eixir, Slut, Slut Elixir, 1 Million Elixir, Raban Scandal Absolu, JPG Le Male Elixir, JPG Ultra Male, Boss the Scent Magnetic, Boss the Scent Elixir, trust me when I tell you: this is better than them all. Full stop.

What's the point? No one outside of England can get these for going on 3 years now. Useless.
