Grey Dorée

When I spray this one on, I smell bergamot or citrus and a slight black tea note. I don't know what it is. It's not in the notes on the packaging or on the Abaco Paris website. There is also something sweet in it(maybe the honey?), and some subtle leather in the base. In contrast to Whirly's comment underneath, on my skin this fragance is quite warm. A light kind of warmth tbh. Perfect for a cooler day/evening in the spring or fall/autumn. I've got 6 Abaco Paris fragances now, and I'm a big fan of their fragances. They have nice well blended quality to them, and they are very subtle. They all start of with an armslength projection, but turn into an intimate skin scent very quickly. A lot of them however linger very long as a skin scent(around 7 hours or so, some even longer). Except this one unfortunately. This one lasts about 4 hours on me and then it's completely gone. I tried it a couple of times but 4 hours is the absolute max longevity wise. It truly is a lovely beautiful unisex fresh warm subtle fragance, but I wished it just lasted a bit longer and projected just a bit more....

Blind buy for £16.99 from TK Maxx. It's difficult to find consistent information about this fragrance. At the time of writing, Fragrantica lists no notes. The notes listed on my box are: Cèdre, Iris, Cuir (Cedar, iris, Leather) However some pictures online of the box show the notes listed as: Mousse de Chêne, Cyprès, Miel (Oakmoss, Cypress, Honey) Abaco's own website lists the notes as: Jasmine, Rose, Iris. Review below mine says it's the same scent as Abaco Grey (Jasmine, Rose) ---------------------------------------------- Translation from Abaco website: GREY DORÉE is a floral fragrance. I find it hard to describe the scent, it's quite unusual to my nooby nose. It is a bit fruity & floral, in a very cold, metallic way. There's a very strong mentholated note that I really like. No idea which note this is. It's quite light & intimate but it does have good longevity. Unisex to my nose.

The second addition to the Abaco Paris ‘BFC’ (Brown Food Colouring) line of fragrances - this one is “Grey” except for the sole fact that it has been made brown. Confusing, and surely an artistic metaphor merely posing as an inspiration-deficient cashgrab.
